Abstract

As one of the Indonesia's strategic commodities and a key commodity for global trade, coffee continues to be an interesting and growing topic for research. This study aims to identify the development of literature and scientific mapping in coffee value chain studies and its implications for future coffee value chain research in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data in the form of journal articles related to the agrifood value chain in coffee commodities as many as 264 documents obtained from the Scopus database per March 2025. The data were analyzed using bibliometric and content analysis. The results showed that coffee value chain research topics were divided into five clusters: (1) global value chain and certification, (2) coffee farmers and value addition, (3) social and gender issues in coffee farming, (4) arabica coffee and environmental sustainability, and (5) fair trade and circular economy in coffee. The results also show that the current trend of coffee value chain research is developing towards a more holistic coffee value chain development that includes economic, social, and environmental dimensions and is multidisciplinary. The results provide insights into research gaps in the Indonesian context and offer new research opportunities and areas for future coffee value chain.

Abstract

The global growth of organic agrifood has also reached Indonesia, creating opportunities and challenges for smallholder farmers. This study aims to explore the certification process and identify key barriers to obtaining organic certification for Indonesian agricultural products. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with three certified organic farming groups in Central Java—each producing rice, vegetables, or coffee. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive methods and graphical tools such as spider charts. The findings reveal that both pre-certification and certification stages typically require three months, not including land conversion, which may be shortened if prior organic practices are recognized. Major challenges during these stages include business planning, seed availability, group coordination, investment capital, pest management, and contamination prevention. These issues are rooted in limited knowledge and technical skills regarding organic standards and practices. Technological interventions—such as the use of ozone plasma, Internet of Things (IoT), and mobile cold storage—were found to support compliance and productivity, particularly in vegetable farming. However, constraints such as land fatigue, lack of rotation, limited access to organic inputs, and high certification costs persist. The study suggests that improved training, mentoring, institutional support, and access to organic inputs are essential to overcoming certification barriers and strengthening farmers’ participation in organic value chains. These insights offer practical implications for policymakers and stakeholders to promote sustainable organic farming in Indonesia.

Abstract

Supply chain and traceability are solutions for horticultural production, because supply chain can add value for product and traceability exists to ensure transparency, reduce the risks and costs. Asabi is one of the companies that runs horticultre business in Bogor with hydroponics systems. The presence of retail consumers needs higher quality, ensure integrity and safety. Therefore Asabi needs to implement a supply chain system and traceability for that consumer demand. This study uses primary data about business process, cycle time, and cost from observation and interviews with Asabi’s team. Secondary data: SCORmark by APICS and SCOR data by similar companies from internet and related research journal. Data were used to descriptive analysis using FSCN, calculating the SCOR, and analyzing the development of traceability. The data compare in two situations, before (H1) and after retail customers (H2). Asabi supply chain consists of upstream, processing and downstream. Supply chain SCOR performance shows that retail increases Asabi's sales, but lower reliability, and high cost. The traceability has not been built yet in Asabi, from the simulation application, Asabi needs to estimate the harvest, improve the sorting process and utilize the use of greenhouses to increase reliability and minimize costs.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the income of wetland paddy farming on the affected land and not affected by nickel in the South Konawe Discrit . This study was conducted from May to July 2017. The data collected were primary data obtained from direct interviews with affected wetland farmers and not affected nickel mining, with the number of respondents as many as 100 farmers. Data were analyzed using farm income analysis. The results showed that the income of rice field farming exposed and not affected by nickel mining is significantly different. Total revenues of rice field farms affected by mining nickel mining amounted to Rp7 838 617 with a     R/C of 0.9 and total revenues of Rp -213 290.4. Meanwhile, the acceptance of paddy field farming is not affected by nickel mining which is Rp17 220 630.3 with R/C value of 1.9 and revenues at total cost Rp 6 897 157.4.

Abstract

Smoked fish is one of the processed fish products that provided higer added value. However, there are still great opportunities to increase added value of smoked fish products through upgrading their value chains to make them more competitive and sustainable. This study aims to examine value chain upgrading of the smoked fish in Central Java. The data were obtained from 52 smoked fish value chain actors in Central Java by conducting in-depth interviews. The data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive analysis of value chain upgrading. The results showed that the smoked fish value chain in Central Java can be upgraded through three upgrading types: product, process, and functional. Product upgrading can be done by using vacuum packaging and food boxes for processors and food stallers respectively.  Process upgrading can be done by adopting fish detection technology (for fisherman) and administrative system applications (for wholesalers and traders). Functional upgrading can be improved by implementing direct selling from processors to restaurants and online marketing for retailers. As these upgrading activites will require additional costs, the smoked fish value chain actors need to consider the costs to get higher benefits in the implementation of value chain upgrading for smoked fish in Central Java.

Abstract

One of the obstacles in the business sector in Indonesia is corruption. Efforts to eradicate corruption are carried out through education, prevention and prosecution strategies or known as the TRISULA strategy. One of the corruption prevention efforts carried out by the KPK is through the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) with eight areas. This study aims to analyze the relationship between prevention and complaints and regional corruption cases. This study uses secondary data. Secondary data consists of the Regional Corruption Prevention Index, complaints, and regional corruption cases handled by the KPK in 34 provinces in Indonesia, 2018 – 2022. Primary data was obtained through a survey with purposive sampling in 22 local governments. Data were analyzed using regression analysis with e-VIEWS software. The results of the study show that the areas of prevention that have an influence on corruption complaints are planning and budgeting, procurement of goods and services, supervision of the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP), and management of regional property. The prevention area that has an influence on corruption cases is the procurement of goods and services.

Abstract

Jeruk rimau gerga lebong (selanjutnya disebut jeruk gerga) merupakan varietas jeruk lokal khas Provinsi Bengkulu yang saat ini dikembangkan sebagai komoditias unggulan nasional. Dalam mengembangkan jeruk lokal tersebut, penting untuk memahami perilaku konsumen jeruk tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis proses keputusan pembelian dan kepuasan konsumen terhadap jeruk gerga. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dari survei daring terhadap 200 responden di provinsi Bengkulu, Sumatera Selatan, dan Jambi pada bulan April sampai Mei 2022. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif, customer satisfication index (CSI), dan importance performance analysis (IPA). Pada analisis CSI dan IPA, penelitian ini menggunakan delapan atribut jeruk yaitu rasa, kandungan air, kesegaran, warna, ukuran, harga, promosi, dan ketersediaan produk. Hasil penelitian berkaitan proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar konsumen membeli jeruk gerga dengan alasan manfaat dari kandungan vitamin C jeruk gerga, mendapatkan informasi dari pengalaman pembelian sebelumnya, mempertimbangkan atribut rasa dalam evaluasi sebelum pembelian, memutuskan membeli jeruk gerga karena faktor situasional, dan menyatakan puas dan bersedia melakukan pembelian ulang pasca pembelian. Berdasarkan analisis CSI, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap pembelian dan konsumsi jeruk gerga termasuk kategori puas. Berdasarkan analisis IPA, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut jeruk rimau gerga lebong yang perlu diperbaiki adalah ketersediaan buah. Hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi para pemulia atau penangkar buah dalam mengembangkan varietas jeruk gerga sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan preferensi konsumen dan bagi pemasar menyusun strategi pemasaran jeruk gerga dengan lebih tepat.

Abstract

Saat permintaan domestik terhadap produk organik meningkat, harga menjadi kendala utama dalam pembelian produk organik. Oleh karena itu, sebagian besar konsumen masih tidak membeli produk organik sementara beberapa konsumen membelinya secara rutin. Penelitian ini bertujuan guna melakukan analisis terkait kesediaan membayar (WTP) konsumen beras organik di Sumatera Barat serta berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer hasil survei terhadap 100 konsumen beras organik pasar modern di Sumatera Barat. Kriteria responden yaitu konsumen produk beras oganik, orang dewasa, memiliki pendapatan dan bertanggung jawab atas belanja pangan baik bagi diri sendiri ataupun keluarga. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode contingent valuation dan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa WTP konsumen beras organik merah dan putih berbeda dibandingkan dengan harga beras organik di Sumatera Barat saat ini. Kesediaan konsumen membayar beras merah organik lebih tinggi sebesar 2%, sedangkan untuk beras putih organik lebih rendah 0,01% daripada harga penawaran. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa determinan signifikan WTP konsumen beras organik adalah pendapatan, organik harga beras dan gaya hidup sehat. Determinan usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, isu kesehatan, kualitas, kemasan, dan akses produk tidak signifikan memengaruhi willingness to pay beras organik di Sumatera Barat Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk merumuskan strategi penetapan harga beras organik di pasar lokal.

Abstract

Kabupaten Dairi merupakan salah satu penghasil utama kopi di Sumatera Utara. Sebagian besar petani kopi di Kabupaten Dairi menjalin kemitraan dengan perusahaan PT. Wahana Graha Makmur (WGM). Namun, pelaksanaan kemitraan belum berjalan dengan baik. Perusahaan belum pernah menerima hasil panen dari petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis mekanisme pola kemitraan yang telah terjalin dan bagaimana persepsi petani mitra terhadap kemitraan di Kabupaten Dairi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni – Desember 2023 di Kecamatan Sumbul, Parbuluan dan Sitinjo. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 90 orang mitra koperasi Cimata Makmur dan 70 orang mitra Gereja Katolik MPOK. Pola kemitraan dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan persepsi petani dengan skala likert. Terdapat tujuh indikator yang digunakan dalam analisis persepsi yaitu keuntungan relatif, kesesuaian, kerumitan, komunikasi, kerjasama, kepercayaan dan komitmen. Uji Mann Whitney juga dilakukan untuk melihat perbedaan persepsi petani mitra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis pola kemitraan yang terjadi antara petani kopi dengan PT. WGM. Pola kemitraan petani mitra koperasi Cimata Makmur adalah pola kemitraan adalah pola kemitraan multipartite dan pola kemitraan petani mitra gereja adalah pola kemitraan inti plasma. Penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan persepsi antara petani mitra koperasi dengan mitra gereja. Temuan ini memberikan informasi yang berguna bagi perusahaan sebagai bahan perbaikan kemitraan. Persepsi petani dapat ditingkatkan dengan manajemen komunikasi yang baik untuk mengurangi kekurangan informasi di antara petani mitra.

Abstract

Implementing Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) is an obligation for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). To increase value for the Company, implementing TJSL should be carried out with the Company's business approach. Pertamina, one of the BUMNs, is implementing the TJSL program with this approach through the pinky movement program. This program is a funding and business development program for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises actors with the primary objective of switching from the use of subsidized LPG to non-subsidized LPG, which is right on target and provides access to the marketing of non-subsidized LPG for the community. This program has been running since 2020, but program development is still needed so that the conversion of subsidized LPG to non-subsidized LPG is optimal. This study aims to formulate a strategy for developing the Pinky Movement program. The research method used qualitative methods for data collection to formulate strategies using design thinking methods. The results at the final stage state that the proposed program development is feasible to run to optimize the program.
