Abstract

ABSTRAKPembelajaran berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa di bidang STEM (sains, teknologi, rekayasa, dan matematika). Motivasi intrinsik terhadap suatu pekerjaan/ kegiatan merupakan hal yang penting untuk dimiliki seseorang agar suatu pekerjaan/ kegiatan yang dilakukannya lebih bermakna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui motivasi intrinsik siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis STEM pada aspek interest/ enjoyment dan pada aspek value/ usefulness. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui motivasi intrinsik siswa yang belajar dengan pendekatan STEM, agar siswa belajar sains, teknologi, rekayasa, dan matematika menjadi lebih bermakna. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas STEM (ekstrakurikuler) di salah satu SMP Negeri di kota Bandung, dengan jumlah siswa 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes, diadaptasi dari Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI), sebuah tes mengenai motivasi intrinsik berupa pernyataan-pernyataan terhadap suatu aktivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek interest/ enjoyment dan pada aspek value/ usefulness 49% siswa memiliki motivasi intrinsik yang sangat tinggi, 48% siswa memiliki motivasi intrinsik yang tinggi, dan 3% siswa memiliki motivasi intrinsik yang sedang, dan tidak ada siswa yang memiliki motivasi intrinsik yang rendah.Kata kunci: Motivasi Intrinsik dan Pembelajaran STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Abstract

Pada hakikatnya bahan ajar merupakan seperangkat materi pembelajaran yang dalam penyusunannya harus sistematis sehingga dapat menciptakan suasana yang dapat memotivasi peserta didik untuk melakukan pembelajaran. Namun, berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan, peserta didik merasa masih kurang terbantu proses pembelajarannya karena bahan ajar tidak mudah dipahami serta tidak cukup interaktif dalam menyampaikan materi yang dimuatnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakuan dengan tujuan untuk membuat suatu bahan ajar yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan peserta didik terkait bahan ajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengadaptasi pada model pengembangan Plomp dengan empat fase pengembangan yaitu (1) fase investigasi awal, (2) fase desain, (3) fase realisasi, dan (4) fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar berupa e-book interaktif khususnya pada materi gelombang cahaya sudah sangat layak untuk digunakan dari segi penilaian konten, sudah interaktif dan mampu menyampaikan materi yang dimuatnya ditunjukan dengan hasil rata-rata peserta didik yang berada diatas KKM. Kata kunci: E-book Interaktif, Gelombang Cahaya  ABSTRACT In essence, teaching materials are a set of learning materials which must be systematic in their preparation so as to create an atmosphere that can motivate students to learn. However, based on the results of the needs analysis, students felt that the learning process was still inadequate because the teaching materials were not easy to understand and were not interactive enough in conveying the material they contained. Therefore, this research was carried out with the aim of making a teaching material that can meet the needs of students related to teaching materials. The research method used is adapting the Plomp development model with four development phases, namely (1) the initial investigation phase, (2) the design phase, (3) the realization phase, and (4) the test, evaluation and revision phases. The results showed that the teaching material in the form of interactive e-books, especially on light wave material, was very feasible to use in terms of content assessment, was interactive and was able to convey the material it contained, indicated by the average results of students who were above the standard.   Keyword : Interactive E-book, Light Waves

Abstract

Asesmen memiliki tiga fungsi yaitu assessment of learning, assessment for learning, assessment of learning. Ketiga fungsi asesmen tersebut memiliki proporsi yang seimbang. Namun implementasi asesmen dalam pembelajaran selama ini didominasi oleh assessment of learning. Ketidakseimbangan ini menghambat peserta didik untuk membangun pengetahuannya. Oleh karena itu perlu melakukan penguatan kompetensi kepada guru untuk mengubah konsepsi asesmen dalam mengimplementasikan ketiga peran asesmen. Penelitian menggunakan metode ekspermen. Partisipan yang mengikuti kegiatan berjumlah 50 guru Fisika SMA yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia (11 Laki-laki dan 39 Wanita) dengan lama mengajar 1-28 tahun. Penelitian diawali dengan tes awal dan setelah kegiatan selesai diberikan tes akhir. Soal berjumlah 15 soal dengan bentuk pilihan ganda. Program penguatan kompetensi asesmen berupa ekspositori, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang diperoleh terjadi peningkatn dengan kategori sedang (ngain=0.43). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa program penguatan kompetensi asesmen dapat meningkatkan konsepsi guru terhadap asesmen.

Abstract

Formative assessment is an essential aspect of learning. Facts in the field show that there still needs to be more teachers who conduct formative assessments during the learning process. The assessment that carries out assesses the final results of learning through summative. This study aims to analyze the ability of science teachers to design formative assessment instruments in science teaching through the implementation of the participatory training model. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 30 junior high school science teachers in Sumedang Regency. Data collection instruments are formative assessment product sheets made by teachers and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the ability of teachers to design formative instrument assessments was categorized as good. Abstract

Today, the using of mobile learning tools are much needed. One of those mobile learning is physics mobile learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using physics mobile learning in physics learning in generation z students. The analysis was carried out on journal articles that have implemented physics mobile learning. The research subjects consisted of twenty five journal articles selected from the Scopus Index database, Web of Science (WOS), Google Scholar, or ERIC from 2012 to 2022. The data have already been analyzed related to improved orientation aspects, and research methods. The results of data analysis indicate that the use of mobile physical learning can have a positive impact on enhancing the different abilities of students, such as HOTS abilities, diagrammatic and argumentative representation skills, and students' conceptual understanding. According to our analysis of the development of physics mobile learning, students consider these apps to be an interesting and useful addition to traditional teaching, as they allow them to easily access multimedia resources and learn almost anywhere and anytime. This means that more research is needed to develop mobile learning physics in other physics concepts used and improved orientation aspects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah Fisika berdasarkan teori respon butir. Metode dan desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan desain penelitian kontruksi dan validasi, instrumen yang dibuat peneliti didasarkan pada lima indikator yang merujuk pada tahapan strategi keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada Robust Assessment Instrument For Student Problem Solving yang dikembangkan oleh Doctor dan Heller. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMA Kelas XI. Hasil analisis dari kurva karakteristik tes dengan menggunakan teori respon butir menunjukkan bahwa tes memiliki parameter tingkat kesukaran (b) yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dan daya pembeda (a) dengan kategori tes memiliki parameter daya pembeda (a) yang baik. Secara umum interpretasi dari tes yang dikonstruksi dapat menilai keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan kemampuan rendah hingga sangat tinggi. Abstract

This research aims to develop high school physics teaching materials in the form of comics. This research method is a research and development (R&D) method. The steps in this method are Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation (ADDIE). A validation test was carried out using a questionnaire to obtain valid Physics Comics (PHYCOM) teaching materials. This feasibility test was carried out by three validators consisting of 1 high school physics teacher, two lecturers, and six 10th-grade high school students. Comics are said to be valid and feasible to use because they meet the validity percentage at a value of 61% - 100% (valid criteria and very valid). Based on the results of the feasibility test of the three validators, it was found that PHYCOM's teaching materials were very valid and feasible to use, with a percentage of 87.50%. The validation results from six students showed that PHYCOM was a very valid teaching material with a validity percentage of 91.18%. The results of this validation indicate that PHYCOM is valid and suitable to be used as teaching materials for 10th high school students. The advantage of PHYCOM teaching materials is that they are communicative and contain illustrative images so that they are easy to visualize. In addition, PHYCOM teaching materials can be used by students as independent study materials.

Abstract

Alternative energy sources are one of the materials in physics that are very close to their application in daily life. Awareness of the importance of understanding in the era of rapid technological progress in the concept of alternative energy sources needs to be built with learning that actively involves students, one of which is project-based learning. This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers in the implementation of team-based projects with the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) approach on alternative energy source materials, in order to train students' creativity. The method used was a questionnaire and interview involving 38 physics teachers. The results show that teachers need learning that integrates team-based projects with the SETS approach because only 50% of teachers have used project-based learning on alternative energy sources. In addition, 89% of teachers face various obstacles in the implementation of project-based learning, including inadequate time allocation, low critical thinking of students, and poor teacher planning. Based on these findings, it is suggested that there is a need for more comprehensive teacher learning innovations and the preparation of more structured teaching modules. In addition, support from the school in terms of facilities and time management is needed to maximize the effectiveness of team-based project learning with the SETS approach. This effort is expected to improve the quality of learning and students' creativity in understanding alternative energy source materials.

Abstract

Upaya membantu peserta didik memahami fluida dinamis, implementasi modul ajar berbasis discovery learning ialah solusi yang efisien. Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul ajar materi fluida dinamis dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik. Penelitian dikembangkan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D), yang memanfaatkan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian melibatkan 67 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA yang terdiri dari 31 peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan 36 peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok besar. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi isi dan konstruk, pre-test dan post-test, serta angket respons peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang dipakai untuk mengukur kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan ialah persentase nilai validator, persentase respons peserta didik, dan N-gain. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, disimpulkan bahwa hasil uji validasi memperoleh nilai 83,33% untuk validasi isi dan 82,15% untuk validasi konstruk, yang mana keduanya memiliki kategori sangat layak. Respons peserta didik terhadap modul ajar memperoleh nilai 82,90% dengan kategori sangat praktis pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan memperoleh nilai 78,72% dengan kategori praktis pada uji coba kelompok besar. Selain itu, hasil N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul ajar dikategorikan tinggi dengan nilai 0,79 dan efektif dalam mengembangkan pemahaman peserta didik. Penggunaan modul ajar memungkinkan peserta didik untuk mengembangkan pemahamannya sekaligus berfungsi sebagai panduan bagi guru di kelas.
