Abstract

The ability to master the concept is a very important ability to be improved. Discovery learning learning model is a learning model that has 6 stages of learning that are able to support the achievement of mastery of concepts. This study aimsto determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students’ mastery of biological concepts through literature study, namely by looking for various sources that are relevant and have ISSN which are used as references and guidelines. This research method is a literature study by looking for relevant reference sources. The population and sample in this study were all relevant literature articles. Results Based on the literature study research, discovery learning model has an effect on students’ mastery of biological concepts. This means that students’ mastery of biological concepts is significant to the discovery learning model. The discovery learning model can be used as a learning model in schools, especially in biology subjects.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu kebutuhan yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan. Motivasi yang rendah ketika belajar menyebabkan hasil belajar yang rendah. Hasil observasi di MAN 2 Mandailing Natal menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Biologi masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari aktivitas peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MAN 2 Mandailing Natal pada mata pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasi yang telah dilakukan pada bulan November-Desember di MAN 2 Mandailing Natal. Sampel berjumlah 119 orang peserta didik yang berada pada tiga kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Total Sampling dimana jumlah sampel sama dengan populasi. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket motivasi belajar. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan rumus korelasi Pearson Product Moment, kemudian dilakukan Uji t untuk mengetahui korelasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kelas XI MIA 1 adanya korelasi yang sedang dengan nilai r=0,59, koefesien thitung = 4,26 > ttabel = 2,03. Kelas XI MIA 2 menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang sedang dengan nilai r=0,47, koefisien thitung = 3,28 > ttabel = 2,02. Kelas XI MIA 3 menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang rendah dengan nilai r=0,37, koefisien thitung = 2,54 > ttabel = 2,01. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MAN 2 Mandailing Natal pada mata pelajaran Biologi.

Abstract

Evaluation is an activity carried out to measure the process of student learning outcomes and determine the achievement of learning objectives. Good quality questions are needed to provide accurate information on the abilities of students. The teacher at SMAN 1 Teluk Sebong did not analyze the items due to limited free time and the teacher's lack of understanding in analyzing the questions. This research aims to determine of quality the question final exam odd semester 2020/2021 biology class x sma negeri 1 teluk sebong. This research is a type of descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. Qualitative descriptive analysis used item review sheets to determine the quality of the questions in terms of material, construction, and language. Quantitative descriptive analysis using Anates version 4.0.9 program to determine item validity, item reliability, discriminatory power, level of difficulty, and effectiveness of distractors. The results showed that in terms of (1) material aspects 99% appropriate categorized as very good, (2) construction aspects 95% appropriate categorized as very good, (3) language aspects 93% appropriate categorized as very good, (4) item validity 43% items are valid and 57% items are invalid, (5) questions reliability with a reliability index of 0.78 is categorized as very high, (6) discriminatory power of 27% items is good, 43% of items is sufficient, and 30% of items are bad, (7) difficulty level is 20% easy items, 57% moderate items, and 23% difficult items, (8) distractor effectiveness 41% very good option, 31% good option, 20% less option, 5% bad option, and 3% option is very bad. Conclusion analysis of quality the question final exam odd semester 2020/2021 biology class x sma negeri 1 teluk sebong in terms of material, construction, and language aspects is very good, has sufficient item validity, high reliability, sufficient discriminatory power, medium difficulty, and good distractor effectiveness.

Abstract

The low critical thinking skills of students in the human skeletal system material, due to Biology learning has not implemented learning models and teaching materials that facilitate students to practice critical thinking skills. This type of research is development research using 4-D models (four-D models), which is limited to the development stage. The research subjects were two Biology lecturers, FMIPA UNP, two Biology teachers, and 31 students of Class XI Science at SMAN 2 Lintau Buo. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistics. The results showed that the LKPD based on the RANDAI model from the validity test was very valid with a value of 94.25%. While the readability test by the teacher was very well read with a value of 92.26% and read very well by students with a value of 92.69%. LKPD based on the RANDAI learning model has been produced on the Human Movement System for Class XI SMA/MA which is very valid and reads very well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis dan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran yaitu lembar kerja peserta didik pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah satu orang guru biologi kelas XI dan 36 orang peserta didik dari kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 1 VII Koto Sungai Sarik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Bahan ajar yang sering digunakan dalam pembelajaran Biologi adalah lembar kerja peserta didik, (2) Bahan ajar yang digunakan peserta didik dianggap belum meranik bagi peserta didik, (3) Materi sistem pencernaan merupakan materi yang memiliki nilai ulangan harian yang di bawah KKM, (4) Peserta didik dan guru belum menggunakan LKPD dengan pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). (5) LKPD berbasis STEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan 4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication,and Collaboration). LKPD berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pada materi sistem pencernaan kelas XI SMA dibutuhkan untuk memaksimalkan proses pembelajaran serta mengasah keterampilan 4C peserta didik.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pada masa kini menekankan kepada kemampuan peserta didik untuk dapat berpikir kritis, menghubungkan materi pembelajaran dengan keadaan sekitar yang relevan dan menguasai teknologi informasi, komunikasi serta kolaborasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan literasi digital peserta didik dalam pembelajaran biologi. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA 2 Adabiah Padang yang berjumlah 5 kelas dengan 177 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dengan cara membagikan angket kepada peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pada aspek functional skill and beyond, creativity, collaboration menunjukkan hasil dengan kriteria “Cukup Baik” dan pada 5 aspek literasi digital yang lain menunjukkan nilai dengan kriteria “Baik”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan literasi digital peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Adabiah 2 padang berada pada kriteria “Baik”.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can help the teaching and learning process and serves to clarify the meaning of the message conveyed, so as to achieve better and more perfect learning objectives. One of the learning media that can be developed is the learning module.Modules are teaching materials that are completely designed to help students learn independently. Module development must be in accordance with the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum learning, namely the scientific approach or scientific approach. Scientific approach-based modules can provide understanding to students in recognizing, understanding various materials using a scientific approach, learning is directed to encourage a scientific approach to find out from various sources through observation, not just given by the teacher. This study aims to produce a module based on a scientific approach about motion system material and to determine the level of validity of the module. This type of research is research and development. This study will use three stages of the 4-D development model, namely the stage of defining, designing and developing. The module was validated by 3 validators, namely two biology lecturers, FMIPA UNP and 1 biology teacher at SMAN 1 Pantai Cermin using an instrument in the form of a validity sheet. The results of the validity show that the module based on a scientific approach on the motion system material is declared to be very valid after being validated by 3 validators with an average percentage of 85.72% with a very valid category

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires students to have 21st century skills known as 4C (critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration). For this reason, teaching materials are needed that are in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum such as Student Activity Sheets (LKPD). This study aims to create a 21st century skill-oriented Student Activity Sheet (LKPD) on animal tissue material for high school. This type of research is research and development research and development (R & D) to produce valid and practical LKPD. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class XI SMA N 2 Tebo Regency as well as two lecturers and two biology teachers as validators. The results showed that the object of this research was the Student Activity Sheet (LKPD) oriented to 21st century skills on animal tissue material for high school. Overall obtained an average of 90.9% with very valid criteria. And the average practicality test by teachers is 95.4% with very practical criteria and by students it has an average of 93% with very practical criteria. This shows that the 21st century skill-oriented worksheets can be used in the learning process. The implications of this research are expected to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are an assessment of the abilities possessed by students after participating in the learning process. Low learning outcomes caused by low scientific argumentation. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning outcomes and the ability of scientific argumentation of students of SMAN 1 Payakumbuh on the immune system material. This research is a descriptive study with the correlation method. The research sample consisted of 34 students of class XII MIPA 8 SMAN 1 Payakumbuh. . The research instrument is in the form of valid student learning outcomes tests and scientific argumentation ability tests. The results showed that students' learning outcomes were in the moderate category with an average of 63% and students' scientific argumentation abilities were included in the weak category with an average of 39.02%. There is a positive and significant correlation between learning outcomes and the scientific argumentation abilities of class XII MIPA 8 students in the immune system material with a value of r = 0,658 which is in the very strong category. The value coefficient = 6,562 is greater than the coefficient =2,0369. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning outcomes and scientific argumentation abilities of SMAN 1 Payakumbuh students on the immune system material.

Abstract

Rice snails are one of the pests that have the potential to cause high losses to rice plants. Rice snail mucus contains glycosaminoglycans, proteoglycans, glycoprotein enzymes, copper peptides, metal ions, collagen, elastin, glycolic acid, allantoin, antimicrobial peptides and vitamin C. Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is one of the vitamins needed by the body that functions as a help process in the body's metabolism. To determine vitamin C levels can be done using the UV-VIS spectrophotometry method with a wavelength of 260 nm. This study aims to determine vitamin C levels from rice snail mucus concentration of 100% and rice snail mucus concentration of 50%. This study is descriptive quantitative, analyzing vitamin C levels obtained from a spectrophotometer can be seen from the absorbance of rice snail mucus. Based on the results of research obtained from the analysis of vitamin C levels of rice snail mucus, the concentration of 100% is 2,372. While vitamin C levels in rice snail mucus concentration of 50% were obtained at 0.911. So it can be concluded that there are vitamin C levels in rice snail mucus with a concentration of 100% greater absorbance than 50% rice snail mucus.
