Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan miskonsepsi pada siswa SMP pada pokok bahasan sistem organisasi kehidupan. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitia yaitu siswa kelas VII yang sudah menerima materi sistem organisasi kehidupan.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik berbentuk essay. Soal yang diberikan berkaitan dengan materi sistem organisasi kehidupan berjumlah 15 soal. Instrumen untuk mendukung penelitian yaitu berupa observasi kegiatan pembelajaran dan wawancara. Data yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan kriteria derajat pemahaman konsep siswa yaitu memahami konsep, miskonsepsi dan tidak memahami konsep. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase miskonsepsi tertinggi adalah tentang sistem pencernaan dengan rata-rata sebesar 57,1%, sedangkan miskonsepsi terendah pada konsep tentang system ekskresi sebesar 17,9%. Faktor-faktor penyebab terjadi miskonsepsi pada pokok bahasan sistem organisasi kehidupan yaitu berasal dari kesalahan siswa itu sendiri dan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru.

Abstract

This research is aimed to study the effect of agroscience-based engineering design process learning model with STEM approach to junior high school student's HOTS. Research type is quasy-experiment with pre and post test control group design. This research done in even semester of 2019/2020 school year. Subject of this research is 7th grade students. Data collection technique and instrument in the form of test that covers revised Bloom Taxonomy HOTS indicator. Data analysis use kolmagorov smirnov normalization test, independent sample t-test and normalized gain. The result of independent sample t-test was Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < sig. a = 0.05. Student's HOTS improvement in experiment class higher (N-gain= 0.494) than control class (N-gain=0.279). Base on result can be cloncuded that there is significant effect from agroscience-based engineerig design process learning model with stem approach to junior high school student's HOTS. Experiment class student's HOTS improvement category was middle.

Abstract

This study purposed to develop an E-student worksheet on environmental pollution material to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. E-student worksheet is an electronic-based student worksheet that utilizes the internet in its application. E-student worksheets can create various kinds of content, both visual and audiovisual, to train and assist students in finding concepts through the learning process. The development research method used a 4-D model, but only three stages were carried out: defining, designing, and developing. This research was conducted on seventh-grade students at SMPIT Al Ghozali Jember. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, learning implementation sheets, critical thinking skills tests, and student response questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that the E-student worksheet had very valid criteria with a value of 94%. The implementation of learning showed very high criteria with a value of 92%. The effectiveness of learning had effective criteria with an average N-gain value of 0.70, and student responses had a good criterion, with a value of 77.3%. It can be concluded that the E-student worksheet on environmental pollution material could improve students' critical thinking skills in science learning in junior high school

Abstract

This research investigates the factors that influence pre-service science teachers' conceptualization of STEM education. The factors involved STEM self-efficacy, STEM anxiety, science content knowledge, and mathematics content knowledge. The survey method was utilized in this research to collect a huge number of respondents at one time. The participants were 604 pre-service science teachers in Indonesia with different backgrounds (physics Education, biology education, chemistry education, Ingrate of Science education, and primary school education). The instruments were developed and share with participants using a google form to avoid the items that the participant did not fill in. The data analyzed using STEM showed that science content knowledge, STEM self-efficacy, and STEM anxiety were influencing the conceptualization of STEM education. This research suggested that to improve the quality of STEM education in the classroom. Pre-service science teachers should understand the concept of the content taught

Abstract

Synthetic estrogen hormone that has known by the public is an estrogen that is contained in hormonal contraception or birth control pills. The lack of public knowledge about the action mechanism of oral contraception on the reproductive organs makes people ignoring about the impact of it. This study was conducted to analyze the differences in the induction of estrogen towards the levels of estradiol and histology of the uterus and its utilization as a supplement book of Reproductive System topic in high school. Balb-C female mices were used as the tested animals and Microgynon, the contraceptive pillas trademark was used as a source of estrogen induces. Blood samples were taken at pro-estrus phase, while the uterus was taken at each phase of the estrous cycle. Measurement of estradiol levels was done by ELISA method, whereas the thickness of endometrium is determined on a longitudinal incision of the uterus by the method of preparation of histological paraffin and HE staining. The supplement book was arranged refers to 4-D models. The results showed that there was a difference between the levels of estradiol-induced estrogen treatment with control, but in endometrial thickness among the control treatment with estrogen did not show the differences significantly. The results also showed that the estrogen induction has no significant effect on endometrium thickness at each phases of estrous cycle. The results of research were used as supplement book and it can be used for enriching knowledge of reproductive topic on high school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan komik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada pokok bahasan sistem peredaran darah kelas 8. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu define, desigen, develop. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen antara lain lembar validasi, angket keterbacaan, soal pre-test post-test, dan angket respon siswa. Uji coba produk dilakukan dengan uji coba terbatas dan uji coba kelompok besar. Subjek uji coba yaitu 35 siswa kelas 8A SMPN 1 Kalibaru Banyuwangi. Hasil analisis terhadap aspek validitas buku komik mencapai kriteria sangat valid, aspek kepraktisan buku komik memiliki kriteria sangat baik dan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar buku komik tergolong praktis, aspek keefektifan buku komik masuk dalam kategori sedang. Bahan ajar buku komik sistem peredaran darah ini memiliki kriteria sangat valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga dapat diimplementasikan secara luas dalam pembelajaran.Development of The Circulatory System Comic Book. This research aims to produce comics that valid, practical, and effective on the subject of the circulatory system grade 8. The research was conducted in three stages ie define, design, develop. The data were collected by using instrument include validation sheet, questionnaire, pre-test and post-test, and student response questionnaire. Product trials were conducted with limited trials and large group trials. The subjects were 35 students of grade 8A SMPN 1 Kalibaru Banyuwangi. The result of the analysis on the comic book validity aspect reached the criterion very valid, the practicality aspect has very good criteria and practical, the effectiveness aspect was in the medium category. The material of this circulation comic book has very valid criteria, practical and effective, so it can be implemented widely in learning.

Abstract

Kahoot is a relatively new e-learning education tool.The data on its effectiveness in classroom teaching for plant biotechnology is scarce and limited. Hence the current research was aimed at incorporating Kahoot in classroom activity in plant biotechnology learning and to assess the effectiveness of Kahoot in the learning process. Qualitative research method was adopted in this study to investigate the applicability of the Kahoot!, the digital assessment tool, in Mattayom 1 (1st Grade Junior High School). Using data collection methods such as qualitative research , observation, document analysis. There are 45 Participants from Mattayom 1/12 in Hatyaiwittayalaisomboonkulkannya School. Based on pre test and post test average value we can assessed effectiveness of Kahoot as an e-learning tool in Biotechnology learning. Pre test is assessment before using Kahoot. We can see that before we used Kahoot average value of test is 55,95 and after we used Kahoot average value of test is 81,92. Kahoot has made students’ learning easy, enjoyable, and interactive and helped them to understand the subject better. Kahoot is an excellent e-learning tool that provides a positive environment in the classroom, increases energy, concentration, and knowledge. It can motivate the students to learn in a fun filled, enjoyable, and friendly competitive environment. Key words: Kahoot, Digital learning, Assessment.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning based on learning problems on students' critical thinking skills in plant biotechnology materials. This research is a quasi-experimental type using the design of "Post test and pretest, Non Equivalent Control Group Design" which consists of two experimental classes. The first experimental class used the Problem Based Learning learning model and the second class used a discussion learning model. Problem-based learning motivates students to learn independently to find information themselves from various sources, such as the environment, media and the internet. This learning trains students to think critically about contextual problems related to the material so as to improve students' cognitive abilities ranging from identifying problems, formulating hypotheses, analyzing problems, evaluating and concluding.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the use of media Augmented Reality (AR) to improve learning interest in Matayom 2/2 class students who are lower secondary grades at Streesmutprakan School. This was a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning stage, acting, observing and reflecting stage. The subjects of this study were all 34 students of Matayom 2/2 class. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentary analysis. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that students' learning interest in the first cycle was 3.3 with medium criteria, increasing to 4.4 with high criteria in the second cycle. The use of media Augmented Reality (AR) can increase students learning interest in Matayom 2/2 at Streesmutprakan School, Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. Abstract

As we move into the twenty-first century, education is becoming increasingly critical in order to ensure that every student has the skills necessary to meet the demands of the twenty-first century. The challenge in the world of education in Indonesia today is to provide quality education that is capable of producing competent human resources. To meet the demands of the twenty-first century, STEM-based education is required. Students in Era 4.0 must not only have high-order thinking skills, but also digital literacy. Teachers and students must be able to make the best use of technology, which would enable teachers to develop an online learning setting. The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have hastened the adoption of information technology in the field of education. By use of digital learning during COVID-19 offered excellent opportunities for teachers to gain experience in digital learning and teaching. The teacher must first plan by using a learning model that supports the online learning process, such as the Community of Inquiry (CoI). Therefore, the development of a STEM-based CoI learning model was carried out, namely SEDC. The aim of this study is to assess the SEDC learning model's validity and practicality. This study uses a 4D design to define, design, develop, and disseminate. In this study, 116 students participated in small-scale test, large-scale test, and dissemination studies, with two expert lecturers as validators and one teacher as users. The validation results were 95.6% with very valid categories, according to the findings. The result for practicality is 84.69% in the very practical category. As a result, this learning model can be concluded to be both valid and useful in rising HOTS. Therefore, it's suggested that it's used in the learning process
