Abstract

In the daily learning process, several major problems arise. Teachers find that some students have difficulty maintaining previously memorized material, are inconsistent in adding new memorization content, and have not yet fully mastered proper reading techniques before proceeding to the next stage. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Ahsanul Qira’ah, Murojaah, and Ziyadah (AHQMUZI) method and its impact on the achievement of the students’ tahfidz program at MDTA Al-Munawwarah Pamekasan. This research employs a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the AHQMUZI method is a memorization activity that begins with students reciting verses in a tartil and correct manner using the Ahsanul Qira’ah method. This approach helps improve the quality of students’ recitation before memorization and provides positive effects and strong motivation on students’ memorization. Overall, the AHQMUZI method is effective in supporting the success of tahfidz learning in non-formal basic educational institutions.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this study was to examine changes in students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Education and Character Education after implementing the Pomodoro technique among ninth-grade students.Methods – This study employed a quantitative, pre-experimental approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design with 30 ninth-grade students (n = 30).Findings – Analyses of 30 students’ results indicated a significant improvement in learning outcomes following the implementation of the Pomodoro technique. The mean pre-test score was 47.67, whereas the mean post-test score increased to 80.67. A paired-samples t-test yielded t = -9.912 with p = 0.001 (< 0.05). The Cohen’s d<sub>z</sub> value was 1.81, indicating a very large effect size. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Pomodoro technique led to a significant improvement in ninth-grade students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Education and Character Education at SMPN 2 Larangan. Research Implications – Based on the study results, the implementation of the Pomodoro technique was associated with a significant improvement in PABP learning outcomes. These findings suggest that the Pomodoro technique can serve as an alternative instructional strategy for Islamic Education and Character Education teachers to help students manage study time, maintain focus, and reduce boredom.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Wordwall as a digital learning medium in increasing student motivation in Islamic Religious Education learning. The research aims to analyze the implementation of Wordwall media and identify its impact on students’ learning motivation as well as the challenges encountered during its application. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and tenth-grade students of the Industrial Chemical Engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Tlanakan. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the use of Wordwall significantly enhances students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased classroom participation, learning enthusiasm, student engagement, and positive learning attitudes. The interactive features of Wordwall contribute to a more dynamic, enjoyable, and student-centered learning environment. However, several challenges were identified, including limited access to digital devices and unstable internet connectivity. These results indicate that Wordwall has strong potential as an effective instructional medium, provided that adequate technological infrastructure and teacher digital competence are continuously strengthened.

Abstract

Low student learning motivation remains a common problem in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning, requiring instructional innovation through the use of media that can actively engage students. One medium that can be utilized is Wordwall, a digital learning platform that provides various interactive activities such as quizzes, educational games, puzzles, and practice exercises. This study aims to describe the implementation of Wordwall in improving students’ learning motivation and to identify obstacles encountered in its application in IRE learning at SMK Negeri 1 Tlanakan. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects included the principal, IRE teachers, and tenth-grade students of Industrial Chemical Engineering. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the use of Wordwall can enhance students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased participation, interest, and enthusiasm during learning activities. The learning process becomes more interactive and enjoyable; however, challenges such as limited supporting devices and unstable internet connections were still encountered

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of routine silaturrahim activities among the Brotherhood, Sisters, and Sympathizers of the An-Naqsyabandiyah Thariqot (SITQON) in Panaguan Village, Larangan District, Pamekasan Regency in shaping the religious character of the community. The study aims to explain the mechanisms of internalizing religious values through silaturrahim practices and their contribution to the formation of religious discipline and the strengthening of social and spiritual dimensions within the community. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through non participant observation, in depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed thematically using source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that routine SITQON silaturrahim functions as a structured space for religious habituation, enabling the internalization of religious values through repeated practice, role modeling, and sustained social interaction. Activities such as dhikr, religious sermons, and socio religious interactions foster worship discipline, moral responsibility, social awareness, and strengthened bonds of brotherhood. Silaturrahim also creates a social structure that supports the continuity of religious practices, allowing religious character to develop not only as a personal quality but also as a collectively shared social norm. The study highlights that community based silaturrahim offers a strategic model for religious character education in rural Muslim communities.

Abstract

Education dualism cannot be separated from the historical aspects of the colonial era. This policy continues to be debated among academics, particularly with regard to budget policies and the quality of education. This study aims to describe the political implications of education dualism on budget and welfare policies. This research uses a systematic literature review approach comprising four stages: identification, screening, eligibility and conclusions. A total of 626 data items were collected, with 226 items collected from the Scopus database and 226 items from the Google Scholar database. All stages of data collection, screening and reporting were guided by PRISMA. The results showed that the political implications of dualism triggered inequality in the budget and welfare: the budget allocation for religious education was smaller than for general education, which also affected the welfare of educators. Although the government made efforts to equalise, policies between ministries often did not support each other. This research contributes by providing a concrete overview of how the political implications of dualism affect education budget policies and educators' well-being, encouraging the government and stakeholders to implement education system reforms that are more harmonious, efficient and socially just.

Abstract

The development of information technology has changed the way people, especially students, access and study religious knowledge. The channel podcast Islami MIUTV serves as a learning and dakwah medium offering easily accessible and flexible religious content. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the channel podcast Islami MIUTV in improving pemahaman keagamaan among students of the Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) UIN Madura.The method used is deskriptif kuantitatif with data collection through an online questionnaire containing statements about podcast effectiveness and the level of students’ pemahaman keagamaan. A total of 100 students participated as respondents in this study. Data analysis involved validity, reliability, normality tests, and Product Moment correlation test using IBM SPSS software.The results showed a positive and significant correlation between the effectiveness of the channel podcast Islami MIUTV and students’ pemahaman keagamaan, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.823 and significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.678 indicates that 67.8% of the variance in pemahaman keagamaan can be explained by the use of this podcast. The t-test showed a significant t-value (9.733 > 2.014).

Abstract

Students’ understanding of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) values at the senior high school level continues to face challenges, particularly in internalizing the principles of religious moderation in daily life. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Aswaja extracurricular study program as a strategy employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to enhance students’ understanding and moderate attitudes. The research applied a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Informants consisted of PAI teachers, the school principal, and selected students chosen purposively. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation techniques employed to ensure validity. The findings reveal that regularly conducted and interactive Aswaja study activities effectively strengthen students’ understanding of tawassuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), and tasamuh (tolerance). Beyond improving cognitive aspects, the program also fosters more open-minded, wise, and tolerant attitudes in responding to differences, thereby contributing to the reinforcement of religious character and the practice of religious moderation within the school environment

Abstract

This study examines the reconstruction of philosophy- and theology-based curriculum thought developed by Harun Nasution as a framework for integrating Islamic sciences with general sciences in Islamic higher education. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research analyzes key scholarly works that discuss curriculum reform, the integration of knowledge, and the intellectual transformation of Islamic educational institutions influenced by Nasution’s rational-theological paradigm. The findings indicate that Nasution’s thought promotes an integrative model that harmonizes rationality and spirituality, thereby overcoming the traditional dichotomy between religious and general sciences. His framework emphasizes the incorporation of philosophy, theology, and modern social sciences as foundational pillars for expanding students’ intellectual capacity and fostering critical, analytical, and adaptive thinking. The study also confirms that this paradigm contributed significantly to the institutional transformation from IAIN to UIN and the strengthening of interdisciplinary academic traditions. The study concludes that Nasution’s approach provides a relevant and progressive basis for reconstructing the curriculum of Islamic higher education. Its practical implications include the adoption of discussion-based pedagogies, the enhancement of hermeneutic competence, and increased innovation in interdisciplinary research. Overall, this reconstruction offers a holistic and future-oriented model of Islamic higher education that responds effectively to contemporary global challenges, including those of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 era.
