Abstract

The study's goal was to see how risk perception and consumer trust affected purchasing decisions at Tokopedia among Universitas Negeri Padang students. This type of study is causal. The participants in this study were students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique was used in this study, and the number of samples was determined using the Cochran formula to be as many as 97. The data used is primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to Universitas Negeri Padang students who meet certain criteria, namely Universitas Negeri Padang students who have made purchases on Tokopedia. Multiple regression analysis with SPSS 22 was used as the analytical method. According to the findings of this study, 1) risk perception and consumer trust have a significant effect on purchasing decisions at Tokopedia among Universitas Negeri Padang students, 2) risk perceptions have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions at Tokopedia among Universitas Negeri Padang students, and 3) consumer trust has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Universitas Negeri Padang students have a significant influence on Tokopedia purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of customer retention on the brand loyalty of Maxim users in the city of Padang. The type of research applied is causal research. The study population was Padang City residents who had used Maxim at least 2 times in the past month. In determining the sample size, the researchers used the Cochran formula, with a total sample size of 97. In this study using a targeted sampling technique, the data used were raw data types generated by distributing questionnaires to residents of Padang city according to predetermined criteria. Using path analysis of SPSS 22 as the analysis method, the results show that customer participation has a significant positive impact on brand loyalty

Abstract

The goal of this outreach activity is improving the ability of high school teachers hardskill and SMK Padang Pariaman Regency business management in terms of: 1) makes learning media with macro media flash, 2) makes RPP that contains model cooperative learning as an application of student centred learning (KTSP curriculum is the curriculum demands and 2013), 3) makes proposals PTK, 4) PTK with the application of the model of cooperative learning and learning media macro media flash 5) make reports and article PTK. The method of the approach being used is as follows: 1) for training and learning media making workshop with Macro Media Flash at once mengeksplorasikan and associate video learning cooperative Learning method using lectures, q & a, discussion, demonstration, granting, granting and tutorials, 2) for training and workshops make the RPP that contains the model of Cooperative Learning using the method using the method of lectures, q & a, discussion, granting, demonstrations, and tutorials, 3) for training and workshops making use of PTK proposal methods lectures, q & a, discussion, demonstration, granting, granting and tutorials, 4) for training and create reports and workshops Article PTK method using lectures, q & a, discussion, demonstration, granting, granting and tutorials, 5) For mentoring do PTK with the application of the model of cooperative learning and learning media macro media flash use methods tutorials. The result of the activities of this devotion is 1) it generates media learning with macro media flash by a large majority (85%) of teachers of subjects high school economics teacher and vocational areas of expertise (business management) of Padang Pariaman, 2) it generates RPP with the syntax of the model of cooperative learning (KTSP curriculum and curriculum demands 2013) by a large majority (85%) of teachers of subjects high school economics teacher and vocational areas of expertise (business management) of Padang Pariaman, 3) it generates a proposal by PTK most (85%) of teachers of subjects high school economics teacher and vocational areas of expertise (business management) of Padang Pariaman, 4) it generates PTK Reports by a large majority (85%) of economic subjects in high school teachers and teachers of vocational areas of expertise (business management Padang Pariaman Regency), 5) it generates article PTK by a large majority (85%) of teachers of subjects high school economics teacher and vocational areas of expertise (business management) of Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

Coconut is a plantation commodity in Padang Pariaman Regency that has experienced an increase in production during 2023. The waste from coconut shells can be further processed into a product with high economic value and even reach the export market, namely coconut charcoal briquettes. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills about production, promotion, marketing, and financial management to the partners. The method used is community development through lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, practical activities, and mentoring. The partners for this activity are the Sukses Bersama and Maju Makmur Business Groups, with 15 participants. The evaluation results show that 100% of the participants gave positive responses and answers to all questions asked about the training activities. The outcome of this service is significant for the participants to improve the quality of the briquette products, as well as marketing and financial management.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on customer decisions using BRI QRIS with trust as an intervening variable. The number of samples used is 170 samples using the Hair et al. formula.This research uses a purposive sampling technique. The data used is primary data with criteria that have been maintained. The analysis method used is SEM using Smart PLS 4.0.  The research results show that although Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness have a positive influence on usage decisions, this relationship is not statistically strong. In contrast, the positive impact of both constructs on trust is significant. Specifically, trust functions as a mediator, significantly influencing the relationship between Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and usage decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of customer engagement and brand trust on brand loyalty in Xiaomi smartphone users in Padang City with satisfaction as a mediating variable. The population in the study were all people in Padang City who purchased Xiaomi smartphone 2 times. The determination of the number of samples using the Chochran formula. The number of samples in this study were 97 people using purposive sampling technique. The questionnaire was assessed using a Likert scale calculation. Data analysis techniques such as descriptive analysis, data verification, calculating the respondent's answer value and average. then SEM analysis with two stages in the form of measurement model testing used for validity and reliability tests and structural model testing used for causative tests. The data analysis tool used is SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that (1) customer involvement has no positive effect on brand loyalty. (2) brand trust has a positive effect on brand loyalty. (3) customer involvement has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. (4) brand trust has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. (5) customer satisfaction has no positive effect on brand loyalty. (6) customer involvement has no positive effect on brand loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. (7) brand trust has no positive effect on brand loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the influence  of Brand Ambassador and Social Media Marketing via Instagram on Purchase Decision, with Brand Image as an intervening variable.  The population in this study is all people in Padang city who have ever bought Wardah products, the number of which is not yet known. The determination of the number of samples in this study was 160 people using purposive sampling technique. The questionnaire was measured using a Likert scale calculation. The data analysis technique was descriptive, data verification, then SEM analysis with two stages in the form of testing the measurement model used for validity and reliability tests and testing the structural model used for causative tests. The results of the study show  Ambassador has a significant effect on Brand Image (β = 0.590, p < 0.001) and Purchase Decision (β = 0.290, p = 0.031). Similarly, Social Media Marketing significantly influences Brand Image (β = 0.410, p < 0.001) and Purchase Decision (β = 0.369, p = 0.006). Furthermore, Brand Image serves as an intervening variable, as evidenced by the indirect effect of Brand Ambassador (β = 0.178, p = 0.021) and Social Media Marketing (β = 0.124, p = 0.016) on Purchase Decision. These findings confirm that effective utilization of brand ambassadors and social media marketing strategies can strengthen brand image, ultimately enhancing purchase decisions. Therefore, marketers should optimize these strategies to increase product appeal among consumers.

Abstract

Teachers play an important role in using appropriate learning strategies, so that they can improve student learning outcomes. This research aims to find out differences in economic learning outcomes using learning models problem based learning media assisted Powtoon with conventional learning for class XI students at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. This type of research is research quasi experimental design. The research population consisted of all 244 students in class Data collection techniques using observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The research results show mark posttest learning model problem based learning media assisted powtoon of 80.11 and value posttest conventional learning is 68.11 with a difference of 12. And also learning models problem based learning media assisted powtoon influence on student learning outcomes. It was concluded that there were differences in student learning outcomes who used the learning model problem based learning media assisted powtoon with conventional learning

Abstract

This community service activity aims to: a) Workshop and assistance in processing cow dung into compost as a green economy solution in order to empower the economy of farmer households, b) Workshop and assistance in using compost grinding machines to produce better quality compost. The series of workshop activities took place in August 2024. The partners of this activity were farmers who were members of farmer groups in Jambak Sunua Barat Village, Nan Sabaris District, Padang Pariaman with 10 participants. This workshop activity received support from the Head of the Farmer Group, the Nagari Government, and the Nan Sabaris District. At that time, the participants of the activity also had high motivation and were very enthusiastic about participating in the workshop so that the activity was followed seriously. The results of this activity showed an increase in the ability of farmer groups as workshop participants and assistance in processing cow dung into compost as well as the use of compost grinding machines to produce better quality compost.

Abstract

Competition between marketplaces is increasing over time, due to the increasing number of marketplace platforms present in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effect of scarcity messages and shopping enjoyment on impulse buying through fear of missing out (FoMO) as an intervening variable on Shopee live streaming consumers. This study was conducted with an unknown population of Padang City residents and a sample of 130 respondents who had made impulsive purchases during live streaming on Shopee with a non-probability sampling technique, especially purposive sampling. Data analysis in the study using SEM-PLS, showed that scarcity messages and fear of missing out (FoMO) did not have a direct effect on impulse buying, while shopping enjoyment had a direct and positive effect on impulse buying. Furthermore, scarcity messages and shopping enjoyment had a direct and positive effect on fear of missing out (FoMO). The indirect effect shows that scarcity messages and shopping enjoyment did not affect impulse buying through fear of missing out (FoMO).
