Abstract

Abstract. The environmental crisis is not a new topic. It is a phenomenon that we cannot ignore. Natural damage, forest fires, floods and others are caused by humans. Therefore, this study aims to find out the forms of natural damage and how the role of humans in providing defense in the short story entitled Ongkak: a collection of short stories by SPN. Fakrunnas MA Jabbar based on eco-critical theory, and tries to correlate research results with social phenomena that are currently happening. This research is a qualitative research, the data in this study were taken from short stories with environmental themes. The instrument in this study was the researcher as a human instrument assisted by notes. In analyzing the data, the researcher reads the short stories repeatedly and interprets it using ecocritical theory. This study found that some short stories use nature as mystical symbols, such as butterflies and trees, and some short stories show natural damage in the form of deforestation, flooding, infrastructure damage, fog, water pollution and tornadoes. The role of humans in overcoming natural damage occurs in the form of providing defense. The results of this research should be able to provide an impact in the form of insight and a sense of responsibility towards the importance of protecting nature. Keywords: Natural Damage, Ecocritic, Short Story

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan wujud dan pengekspresian nilai-nilai karakter dalam novel biografi Hatta Aku Datang Karena Sejarah Karya Sergius Sutanto. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi dokumentasi atau kajian pustaka. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut. Pertama, membaca untuk menyeleksi dan menandainya kata, frasa, kalimat, paragraf, dan wacana yang mengandung informasi berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai karakter. Kedua, mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan data berdasarkan butir-butir masalah yang telah dirumuskan, tidak melihat bagian per bagian. Ketiga, menafsirkan kembali secara semiotik seluruh data teridentifikasi dan terklasifikasi untuk menemukan kepaduan, kesatuan, dan hubungan antardata. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, nilai-nilai karakter utama, yakni (a) kemandirian, (b) semangat kebangsaan, (c) cinta tanah air, (d) cinta damai, (e) gemar membaca, dan (f) kejujuran. Kedua, pengekspresian nilai-nilai karakter disajikan dengan dua pola, yaitu (a) penyampaian langsung dengan cara pendeskripsian karakter, tindakan, dan perilaku tokoh oleh pengarang (pencerita); dan (b) penyampaian tidak langsung dengan cara paparan sikap dan tingkah laku tokoh menghadapi peristiwa dan konflik. Kata kunci: novel biografi, nilai karakter, pola perilaku, realitas kehidupan CHARACTER VALUES IN THE BIOGRAPHICAL NOVEL HATTA: AKU DATANG KARENA SEJARAH BY SERGIUS SUTANTOAbstract: This study aims to describe the form and expression of character values in Hatta: Aku Datang Karena Sejarah, a biograpical novel by Sergius Sutanto. The data collection technique was documentation study or literature review. The data analysis consisted of the following steps: first, reading to select and mark words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, and discourses that contain information related to character values; second, identifying and classifying data based on the problem points formulated, not seeing part by part; third, semiotically reinterpreting all data identified and classified to find cohesion, unity, and relationships between data. The results of the study are as follows. First, the values of the main character include (a) independence, (b) national spirit, (c) patriotism, (d) love for peace, (e) a fondness for reading, and (f) honesty. Second, the expression of character values is presented in two patterns, namely (a) direct delivery by describing the character, actions, and behavior of the character by the author (narrator); and (b) indirect delivery by way of exposure to attitudes and behaviors of the character in facing events and conflicts. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi tokoh wanita dalam novel-novel Kuntowijoyo. Sumber data penelitian adalah empat buah novel karya Kuntowijoyo, yaitu: (1) Khotbah di Atas Bukit, (2) Pasar, (3) Mantra Penjinak Ular, dan (4) Wasripin dan Satinah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif, sehingga pengumpulan dan analisis data dikerjakan secara simultan. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, tokoh wanita tidak sekadar sebagai pelengkap dari dominasi tokoh laki-laki, tetapi dihadirkan secara utuh melalui peran individu, keluarga, dan sosialnya. Kedua, tokoh wanita hadir dengan kemandirian, dapat bersikap dan menentukan pilihan sendiri, dan berada sejajar dengan laki-laki. Ketiga, salah satu cara penggambaran kemandirian yakni dengan melekatkan pekerjaan pada diri tokoh wanita yang memungkinkan menghidupi diri sendiri. Kata Kunci: tokoh wanita, kemandirian, dan dominasi laki-laki THE FEMALE FIGURES’ AUTONOMY IN KUNTOWIJOYO’S NOVELS Abstract This research aims at describing the existence of female figures in Kuntowijoyo’s novels. The research data resources are four novels of Kuntowijoyo; (1) Khotbah di Atas Bukit, (2) Pasar, (3) Mantra Penjinak Ular, dan (4) Wasripin dan Satinah. The data were collected using the documentation technique. The interactive data analysis model was used so that data collection and analysis were con- ducted simultaneously. The research findings are as follows. First, the female figures are not merely complementary to the domination of the male counterparts, but they are present holistically through their individual, familial, and social roles. Second, the female figures are present with autonomy, ability to act and make self-decision, and are at the same level as men. Third, one of the ways of depicting autonomy is through attaching the job on the female figures which enable them to support themselves. Keywords: female figures, autonomy, and male domination

Abstract

Kenyataan membuktikan bahwa ranah afektif merupakan bagianyang dirasakim kurang mendapat perhatian dalam proses pendidikan. Halitu mengakibatkan siswa kurang memiIik:i pertimbangan rasa dan kepekaan.Berbagai perilaku yang menunjukkan agresivitas, penggunaanobat-obatan terlarang, kekerasan, kekejaman dan kecenderungan tindakankriminaIitas sebagaian besar bersumber dari adanya rasa "hampa"harga diri pada diri siswa. IMenghdapai kondisi demikian itu, pendidikan moral agamamutIak diperlukan sebagai sarana penanaman niIai-niIai serta normanormabudi pikerti. Di samping itu, salah satu hal yang perlu diperhatikanadaIah masaIah pendidikan kesenian.Termasuk dalam kesenian salah satunya adalah sastra. Pengenalandan pemahaman terhadap sastra melaIui proses pendidikan yang terusmenerus dengan dunia sesama yaitu dunia manusia dan kemanusiaan.Dalam arti itulah sastra sebagai pemancar berbagai nilai dan bisa menjadisumber pengilhaman tentang kebajikan (virtue) dan kebajikan (wisdom).Melalui pemanfaatan nilai-nilai dalam sastra, akhirnya akan tercapaikondisi homo humanus, yaitu manusia yang mempunyai jiwa haIus,manusia yang berbudaya di samping tetap mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuandan teknologi. Dengan demikian akan terjadi keseimbanganantara dimensi jasmaniah dan rohaniah dalam diri siswa sebagaimanayang dikehendaki dalam rumusan tujuan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap dan pendapat guru SMP/MTs terhada penentuan prioritas nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran sastra remaja, genre, dan stratepenyajian bahan ajar. Subjek penelitian adalah guru Bahasa Indonesia di DIY dengan sampel sebanya30 orang, hadir 24 orang, dari keempat kabupaten dan satu Kota Madya. Pengumpulan data dilakukalewat angket, wawancara, dan sumbang saran di FGD. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptkualitatif dan penghitungan persentase. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Penentuan prioritanilai-nilai karakter perlu untuk memudahkan pemantauan, pengawasan, dan penilaian. Nilai karaktyang dipilih guru adalah nilai religius, jujur, cinta tanah air, peduli lingkungan, tanggung jawab, serkreatif, gemar membaca, disiplin, dan mandiri. (2) Pemilihan genre tampak masih terpola padpembagian sastra kanonik-dewasa, namun ia harus mencakup keseluruhan genre sastra remaja. (3)Penyajian bahan ajar ditekankan pada yang mendasarkan diri pada prinsip pembelajaran kontekstuadan multintelenjjens dengan teknik penilaian otentik. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan bahan ajar, pendidikan karakter, sastra remaja DETERMINING THE PRIORITY OF THE CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN ADOLESCENT LITERATURE TEACHING Abstract: This study aims to describe the attitude and opinions of SMP/MTs teachers on thedetermination of the priority of the character education values in adolescent literature teaching, genrand strategies of the material presentation. The subjects were teachers teaching Bahasa Indonesia Yogyakarta Special Province with a sample of 30 teachers (24 teachers were present) coming from thfour regerncies and one municipality. The data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, anddiscussion in a Forum Group Discussion. The data were analyzed using the qualitative descriptivtechnique and using proportion. The findings of the study were as follows: (1) the determination of thpriority of the character education values was necessary for facilitating the monitoring, supervisingand assessing. The character values chosen by teachers were religious values, honesty, the love to thenation, care to the environment, responsibility, creativity, loving reading, discipline, and being seldependent. (2) The choice of genre seemed to follow the categorization of adolescent-canoniliterature, but it must cover all the adolescent literature genre. (3) The presentation of the materiaemphasized on the contextual-based and multiintelligence-based teaching principles using authentassessment. Abstract

Children who are afflicted with problems of the law must remain entitled to obtain services, guidance, education, protection, and fulfillment of their rights. This is directed to help children to prepare for their future life which is better and more dignified. The study is aimed at describing the nurture of children offenders, the running, and the benefits of literacy learning for inmates who receive rehabilitation treatment in the Institute for Children Special Rehabilitation (ICSR) of Class II B of Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. The study is descriptive qualitative research involving 23 inmates and one instructor. Data are obtained from observations, interviews, and documents. Data analyses are done in three phases; namely selection, presentation, and conclusion. The findings are as follows. First, the rehabilitation phases in the ICSR are orientation, personality nurture, advanced nurture, and integration. Orientation and nurture phases are conducted in the ICSR, while integration is done outside the institute. Second, the literary learning activities are run informally taking the inmate conditions into consideration. Instructional materials consist of poetry writing, poetry musicalization, and basic exercises in drama staging. Third, literary learning gives benefits in character education, the betterment of social adaptation, and media for catharsis.

Abstract

Proses kreatif merupakan suatu fenomena intra-psikis, danbagian dari suatu sistem terbuka. Dalam arti bahwa kreativitas bukanlahsemata-mata pembawaan sejak lahir yang melekat pada diri seseorang.Kreativitas dapat ditumbuhkan melalui penciptaan suasana dan lingkunganyang kondusif.Pendidikan sebagai institusi formal merupakan lingkungan yangkondusif dalam menumbuhkembangkan potensi kreatif siswa. Pendidikanformal pada hakikatnya bertujuan mengembangkan potensi siswa sesuaidengan kemampuan sehubungan dengan kecerdasan, kejujuran, ketrampilan.Melalui pendidikan, siswa dapat mengenali kemampuannya danmempunyai karsa untuk mempertahankan kehormatan din.Salah satu komponen dalam pendidikan formal tersebut adalahpengajaran sastra (termasuk drama) .Pengajaran drama bertujuan agarsiswa memperoleh pengetahuan dan pengalaman bersastra, yangmencakup dua ha1 yaitu pengelaman berapresiasi dan pengalaman b erekspresi. Pengalaman berapresiasi dapat mempertemukan sisw~de ngangagasan, pikiran, dan imajinasi pcngarang. Pengalaman berekspresimzmberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk melakukan proses kreatif.Semua itu akan menjadi tempat pesemaian potensi-potensi kreativitassiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model panduan pendidik pengajaran sastra berbasis pendidikan karakter. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melibatkan 10 guru bahasa Indonesia, 150 siswa kelas 2 dari 10 sekolah, serta empat ketua MGMP kabupaten/kota dan satu ketua MGMP provinsi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah human instrument, wawancara, observasi, angket, dan format penelaahan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persoalan yang dihadapi oleh para guru adalah kurangnya sumber-sumber pengayaan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran sastra, baik dalam bentuk perangkat pembelajaran maupun praktinya di kelas, yang diintegrasikan dengan pendidikan karakter. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan buku panduan pengajaran sastra berbasis pendidikan karakter

Abstract

Abstract: Prophetic Literature learning as a Medium to Develop Student Character. Recently, the character education mainstreaming has been boosted in the national education development. Substantially, the concept of character education is included in the formulation of the national education goals. Therefore, one important aspect in the context of character education is the collective consciousness of all parties involved in the activity. One attempt to develop character is through literature learning, including prophetic literature. Prophetic literature learning can provide joy of life and balance between thoughts and feelings. In such a way, students’ dignity is respected and they become whole human beings who possess knowledge, skills, good heart, and sensitivity.Keywords: education goals, literature learning, character building
