Abstract

TikTok as a short video-based social media platform has become one of the dominant news sources among students. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the TikTok account @cnnindonesia as a news media in meeting the information needs of generation Z, especially students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Islamic Broadcasting Communication Study Program, class of 2021, UIN North Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through indepth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with 10 students who actively use TikTok as a source of news information. The results of the study show that the TikTok account @cnnindonesia is effective in presenting concise, interesting, and easily accessible news. Presenting news with a short duration, attractive visuals, and active interaction with users are the main factors that make this account popular with students. Most respondents trust the credibility of the @cnnindonesia account because it is part of a major news media with a good reputation. However, some respondents still verify information through other sources to ensure the accuracy of the news received. The results of the study also show that TikTok is not just an entertainment platform, but also has an important role in disseminating educational and useful information for students. This study concludes that the TikTok account @cnnindonesia is effective in meeting the information needs of generation Z students at UIN North Sumatra. However, it is important for students to continue to apply digital literacy in order to sort out valid information and avoid hoax news.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the impact of the K-pop trend on the lifestyle of students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. This research is a field study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data source of this research is divided into two first, primary data where the research data is obtained from the results of interviews with students of the Faculty of Social Sciences UINSU directly in the field. Second, secondary data is data obtained from journal documents and previous research. The results showed that K-Pop cultural trends have a significant impact on the lifestyle of students of the Faculty of Social Sciences UINSU Medan. This influence can be seen in their consumption behavior, way of dressing, social activities, and outlook on life. K-Pop culture is not just entertainment, but also a part of the students' identity and lifestyle. The lifestyle changes that occur reflect the shifting values and preferences of students, who are increasingly influenced by global popular culture. While these lifestyle changes can be considered a legitimate form of self-expression, it is important for individuals to maintain a balance between following trends and maintaining their values and cultural identity, so as not to lose their way in finding their identity as a student.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji daya tarik Masjid Raya Al-Mashun sebagai destinasi wisata religi, dengan menyoroti aspek sejarah, Pendidikan, budaya atau tradisi. Selain itu penelitian ini, berupaya memahami bagaimana pengelolaan masjid dalam mendukung pengembangan wisata religi tanpa mengabaikan fungsi keagamaan nya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan Teknik penumpulan data melalui observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa.  pengelolaan Masjid Raya Al-Mashun sendiri dilakukan oleh Lembaga keagamaan dan pemerintah daerah dengan fokus pada pemeliharaan, pelayanan jamaah, serta pengelolaan kegiatan ibadah dan wisata. Motivasi para pengunjung juga sangat beragam, mulai dari keinginan untuk beribadah, menelusuri sejarah Masjid Raya Al-Mashun, hingga menikmati keindahan arsitektur masjid. Wisatawan lokal dan mancanegara tertarik dengan nilai spiritual dan budaya yang terkandung dalam masjid ini. Sedangkan dari segi aktivitas ekonomi, keberadaan Masjid Raya Al-Mashun  sebagai wisata religi mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di sekitarnya, terutama bagi pedagang souvenir, kuliner halal, dan jasa transportasi. Selain itu, program sosial dan keagamaan di masjid turut berkontribusi pada kesejahteraan Masyarakat sekitar. Manajemen yang baik serta dukungan dari berbagai pihak sangat penting untuk menjaga dan mengembangkan Masjid Raya Al-Mashun sebagai pusat wisata religi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication strategy of the Public Relations Division of the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of North Sumatra (Disbudparekraf Sumut) in promoting tourism through the DiSumutAja application. This research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach within a constructivist paradigm to understand user experiences and digital-based promotional strategies. The theoretical frameworks used are the Diffusion of Innovation Theory and Media Richness Theory to explore how this digital innovation is adopted and to evaluate the effectiveness of the communication media used. Data collection methods include semi-structured interviews with representatives from Disbudparekraf and app users, direct observation of the application's usage, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings reveal that the DiSumutAja application has become an effective communication tool in delivering integrated information on tourist destinations, culture, and local events through social media. However, the application still faces challenges regarding user interactivity, limited two-way communication features, and minimal collaboration with the private sector. In conclusion, the use of the DiSumutAja application has enhanced the visibility of North Sumatra’s tourism, but optimization is needed by incorporating user feedback features, expanding collaborative networks with the private sector, and adopting more participatory and adaptive communication approaches. With these improvements, the application is expected to become a more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable tourism promotion platform in the digital era.

Abstract

Reputation is a very valuable asset for all universities, with a good reputation not only increasing public trust but also attracting prospective students, cooperation partners and increasing the power of higher education at the national and international levels. In this case the role of public relations and other units in the institution becomes very important in building, maintaining and improving the reputation of a college in order to be able to compete with other universities, through public relations activities to internal audiences and external audiences external public as the target of its activities, in this study the researcher wants to examine what the strategy of public relations activities of UIN SU in building the reputation of North Sumatra State Islamic University, this research uses descriptive qualitative research type. In addition, this research uses several things to be able to obtain data, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Then to check the validity of the data that has been analyzed using data triangulation techniques. So this research concludes that strengthening the capacity of Public Relations, crisis management, and optimizing cooperation with internal units, media and external agencies need to be carried out in order to maintain and improve the reputation of the State Islamic University

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of influencers in enhancing the brand image of Kopi Kenangan on digital platforms through a case study of Angga Yunanda as Chief Tampan Officer (CTO). A qualitative case study approach was employed, including in-depth interviews, social media observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Angga Yunanda’s credibility and positive image, alignment of values between influencer and brand, and active interaction through creative content and storytelling effectively increase brand awareness, engagement, and consumer loyalty. Tangible impacts include significant growth in followers and social media interactions, formation of a loyal customer community, and increased Kopi Kenangan sales during the campaign. This study confirms that an appropriate influencer marketing strategy is key to building a strong and relevant brand image in the digital era and provides practical recommendations for companies to optimize influencer collaborations to achieve marketing goals. Keywords: Influencer Marketing; Brand Image; Kopi Kenangan; Social Media;  Engagement Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran influencer dalam meningkatkan brand image Kopi Kenangan di platform digital melalui studi kasus Angga Yunanda sebagai Chief Tampan Officer (CTO). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi media sosial, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas dan citra positif Angga Yunanda, kesesuaian nilai antara influencer dan merek, serta interaksi aktif melalui konten kreatif dan storytelling efektif meningkatkan kesadaran merek, engagement, dan loyalitas konsumen. Dampak nyata terlihat dari pertumbuhan signifikan jumlah pengikut dan interaksi di media sosial, terbentuknya komunitas pelanggan loyal, serta peningkatan penjualan Kopi Kenangan selama kampanye. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi influencer marketing yang tepat dapat menjadi kunci dalam membangun brand image yang kuat dan relevan di era digital serta memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi perusahaan dalam mengoptimalkan kolaborasi dengan influencer untuk mencapai tujuan pemasaran. Kata kunci: Influencer Marketing; Brand Image; Kopi Kenangan; Media Social; Engagement

Abstract

The increasingly rampant phenomenon of online gambling in the digital space is a serious challenge to fostering community morals, especially among the younger generation. This study aims to examine the competence of Islamic religious instructors in addressing this issue through the use of digital technology, with a focus on Tanjung Tiram District, Batu Bara Regency. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and analyzed using NVivo software, this study explores the ability of instructors to utilize social media, compile educational content, and build effective da'wah communication in the digital space. The results of the study show that instructors such as Edi Yanto and Kamelia Sambas already possess basic digital competencies that support the effectiveness of da'wah, including the use of Facebook to convey religious messages and warnings about the dangers of online gambling. However, technical limitations, such as mastering visual design and video editing, remain significant obstacles. This study concludes that synergy between religious competence and digital skills is essential for counseling to operate effectively in a digital context and reach digitally active levels of society. These findings provide a basis for developing digital training for religious instructors as part of a da'wah-based social prevention strategy.

Abstract

Belajar memerlukan sebuah proses membangun pengetahuan yang kompleks. Konsep belajar anak usia dini juga mencakup interaksi antar siswa dan interaksi dengan orang tua. Caranya dengan mengenalkan konsep “belajar sambil bermain dan belajar seraya bermain” yang menjadi pondasi dalam belajar, dimana fokusnya belajar pada anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi belajar anak usia dini menggunakan kurikulum merdeka di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dengan informan tahu dan informan pelaku melalui observasi dan wawancara serta pengumpulan dokumen pada guru, siswa dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada 3 tema yang muncul yaitu belajar mengenal diri, belajar mengenal sosial, dan belajar mengenal komunal. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi Belajar dengan melalui kurikulum merdeka membutuhkan sinergi keaktifan dari guru kepada siswa dan kerjasama orang tua dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Guru kreatif dibutuhkan ketika siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar dalam mempersiapkan alat dan bahan alami yang dibutuhkan sebagai media alami belajar anak dengan dukungan orang tua. Hasil penelitian ini akan bermanfaat sebagai referensi bagi guru PAUD yang telah menerapkan belajar menggunakan kurikulum merdeka belajar

Abstract

Gangguan kepribadian anti sosial, juga dikenal sebagai psikopati atau sociopathy, menunjukkan gejala-gejala seperti ketidakpedulian terhadap perasaan orang lain, kurangnya rasa bersalah atas tindakan melanggar hukum, serta kecenderungan untuk berbohong dan manipulasi. Representasi dari gangguan ini membantu menggambarkan kompleksitas kondisi tersebut, sekaligus memberikan wawasan tentang faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhinya. Pada penelitian ini menggunkan metode kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif sebagai suatu penyelidikan mendalam terhadap fenomena dalam konteks alamiahnya. Ia menekankan pentingnya konteks dan situasi nyata dalam memahami kompleksitas suatu fenomena. Meskipun banyak penelitian telah dilakukan tentang gangguan kepribadian ini, masih terdapat kebutuhan untuk mendalami makna representasi dari perspektif individu yang mengalami gangguan kepribadian anti sosial. Individu yang mengalami gangguan kepribadian anti-sosial cenderung memiliki pola pikir dan perilaku yang bertentangan dengan norma sosial dan hak-hak orang lain.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how to create creative ideas in an Islamic perspective. In this modern era, creative ideas are important to study because they are useful in many ways, one of which is from an Islamic perspective. Creative ideas can have a positive influence in an Islamic perspective and have an important role, one of which is in the field of da'wah, creative ideas can create creative da'wah so that it can attract the attention of the da'wah object to the da'wah delivered. In this study using a descriptive qualitative research approach with data collection techniques using literature study techniques. The results of this study are that readers can apply creative ideas in an Islamic perspective, one of which is preaching by using creative ideas and can apply examples of creative preaching.
