Abstract

This article aims to analyze and explore the central role of new media in shaping and pioneering the dynamics of multiculturality in Indonesia. Data shows that the bullying and discrimination that exists in Indonesia indicates that the homo virtualis of the Indonesian nation are experiencing an identity crisis. The urgency of this research is how new media can catalyze a national identity crisis and pose a threat to cultural diversity, especially in Indonesia. This article uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The primary data source for this article is 9,996 tweets from Twitter netizens regarding the identity crisis. Secondary data in this research are articles, books and scientific reports relating to the theme. The data was then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The research results show that the dynamics of national identity in Indonesia have entered a crisis phase. The identity crisis in Indonesia is still dry of educational touches, so it never touches on substantial context. Then, the author found that the identity crisis that occurred in Indonesia occurred due to several factors, namely: 1) Globalization and modernization, 2) Regional disparities, 3) Ethnic and religious conflicts, 4) Lack of multicultural education, and 5) Influence of information and media. However, the author believes there are opportunities to alleviate this crisis through several constructive indicators: the Development of Intercultural Communication Literacy, the Use of Media as an Educational Means, Cross-Cultural Collaboration in Social Media, and anti-Apartheid Curriculum. The novelty of this research lies in a deeper understanding of the role of new media as agents of influence, sources of potential conflict, and opportunities to strengthen cultural diversity.

Abstract

As a science, Islamic Communication has main sources that have great potential to be explored to build and develop Islamic Communication Science. These sources are the Al-qur’an and Sunnah. Even though it is not collected in one place, the raw materials for Islamic Communication Science which are found in many places in the Al-qur’an and Sunnah make it possible to format Islamic Communication Science systematically, so that it becomes a science that is easily utilized by academics and society in general. The method used in this research use the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to find out the most appropriate method for designing enterprise architecture in government agencies. This research implements three stages, namely: planning, implementation, and analysis of the results, which involve analyzing the results of the Literature Review that the author has carried out. This research shows that the Al-qur’an and hadith as well as the books of previous scholars contain a lot of information about communication. However, books about Islamic Communication and other supporting contemporary books in the context of building science such as Communication Science in general only started to develop in the 20th century. On the other hand, this development is also influenced by the development of Communication Science, especially when communication technology and communication media develop rapidly in line with the needs of human nature as social creatures.

Abstract

Psychological and mechanistic paradigms are two different approaches to understanding and explaining human phenomena and the world around them. The psychology paradigm involves the study of human thoughts, behavior, and mental processes. This approach focuses on understanding how individuals think, feel, and act. Psychological paradigms include various theories and methods used to study human psychological aspects. On the other hand, the mechanistic paradigm involves the view that the world can be explained and understood through the principles of mechanics and causality. These two paradigms have differences in the way they view and explain human phenomena and the world. The psychological paradigm focuses more on the psychological and mental aspects of humans, while the mechanistic paradigm focuses more on the physical and mechanical aspects
