Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desaian Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunkan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 70 siswa. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunkan tes kemampuan literasi numrasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa model pembelajaran realistic mathematics education (RME) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas 12 MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan program software SPSS 25 for windows, didapatkan hasil Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,011 dimana nilai signifikansi yang artinya penggunaan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of intrapersonal intelligence on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The research method used is quantitative research with a correlational survey method. The population in this study were all students of class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu. The research sample amounted to 65 students taken from 2 XII MIPA classes with sampling techniques using random sampling techniques. Research instruments in the form of intrapersonal intelligence questionnaires and questions about the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The data analysis technique was carried out by classical assumption test and simple regression test. Based on the results of the study obtained that there is a significant positive effect of intrapersonal intelligence on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts, where the amount of contribution given by intrapersonal intelligence to understanding mathematical concepts is 27.2%.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy entails the knowledge and skills to utilize various numbers and symbols associated with basic mathematics to solve problems in everyday life and analyze information presented in different symbols, subsequently using the results of this analysis to make decisions. In 2018, based on the PISA results released by the OECD, Indonesia's numeracy literacy level was ranked 74th out of 79 countries, indicating that Indonesia's numeracy literacy level is still very low. This study aims to determine and describe the numeracy literacy skills of eleventh-grade students in solving numeracy literacy problems on derivative material at SMA N 1 Sedayu in the academic year 2023/2024. The subjects in this study were 22 eleventh-grade students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used were numeracy literacy ability tests and interviews. The numeracy literacy indicator in this research consists of 3 components, namely: (1) identifying and explaining mathematical concepts; (2) designing and applying mathematical concepts; (3) interpreting calculation results. The instrument in this research consists of 3 items of Numeracy Literacy material on Derivatives. The research results showed that 77% of students were in the low category, 14% of students were in the medium category, and 9% were in the high category, thus it can be concluded that in general, students' ability to solve numeracy literacy problems is still low.

Abstract

Technology plays a significant role in advancing education as it facilitates educators in teaching abstract subjects that are difficult to understand, such as mathematics. Mathematics is a key component of human intellectual capability and the revolution of scientific knowledge. In mathematics learning, without engaging teaching media, students tend to disregard the teacher's explanations, become passive, get bored quickly, and merely take notes on the presented material. Therefore, innovative learning media, such as interactive math comics, need to be developed. This study aims to determine students' responses to the use of AKM practice books in mathematics learning. This research is descriptive and focuses on the level of student satisfaction with the learning process using AKM practice books. Students' responses were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and then analyzed using data categorization techniques. The results of the study indicate that trial results in both small-scale and large-scale classes showed an average rating of very good. Consequently, the AKM practice book is considered practical to use as it received positive feedback from students, being highly useful in the learning process. The AKM practice book, as a mathematics learning medium, significantly aids in the learning process due to its attractive design, easily understandable question texts, clearly explained content, and it makes students feel happy and very interested. Thus, the response of class X8 students at SMA N 1 Sedayu towards the AKM practice book on statistical material is positive and practical for use.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using the ANMATH mathematics learning application in improving students' numeracy literacy. The type of research conducted is experimental research using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population used in this study consists of 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu. The sample used in this study includes students from class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2, selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and the administration of pretest and posttest questions to assess students' numeracy literacy on sequences and series material. The hypothesis of this study is that the use of the ANMATH mathematics learning application can enhance students' numeracy literacy more effectively than direct learning without using the ANMATH mathematics learning application. The results of this study indicate that the use of the ANMATH mathematics learning application, which includes numeracy literacy indicators, has been proven effective in improving students' numeracy literacy. This conclusion is based on statistical tests, namely the Paired Sample T-Test, where the test results from the experimental class and the control class have a sig. 2-tailed value < 0.05, the Independent Sample T-Test, which has a sig. 2-tailed value < 0.05, and the mean difference test showing an increase in the experimental and control classes of 39.94 and 19.28, respectively. These results demonstrate that learning using the ANMATH mathematics learning application is more effective in improving students' numeracy literacy compared to learning without using the ANMATH mathematics learning application.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills master the material where students recognize, know, master, and are able to re-express concepts in a form that is easier to understand. However, students' critical thinking skills still tend to be low. So it takes teaching materials that integrate these abilities. For this reason, this study aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) in order to stimulate critical thinking for class VII students on quality triangle and quadrilateral material seen from aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in one of the Junior High Schools in Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class VIIC. Data collection techniques used interviews, concept understanding ability tests, and preliminary questionnaire studies. While the data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers had implemented learning assisted by LKPD teaching materials, but students' critical thinking skills tended to be low, students were interested in learning using LKPD which was more interesting because students could develop their way of thinking and make them more active in learning.

Abstract

The ability to understand concepts is the mastery of the material in which students recognize, know, and are able to re-express concepts in a form that is easier to understand. However, students' conceptual understanding skills still tend to be low. So it takes teaching materials that integrate these abilities. The research was conducted in one of the public junior high schools in Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class IXA. Data collection techniques used interviews, concept understanding ability tests, and preliminary study questionnaires. While the data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers had not implemented mind map-assisted learning, students' conceptual understanding abilities tended to be low, students were interested in learning using mind map applications because students could develop ways of thinking and make them more active during learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning achievement with the implementation of the TSTS type cooperative model. Based on initial observations conducted at MTsN 4 Jombang with early interviews with one of the mathematics teachers and several students of MTsN 4 Jombang, several problems were found as follows: There are still students who have not been able to solve Mathematics problems, There are still students who have not been able to understand the process of solving Mathematics problems, then there are some students who have not been able to operate a formula into solving Mathematics problems. The method used in this study is a quantitative method and uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The comparative hypothesis testing of two correlated samples, the researcher used calculations with the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 application with a 5% error rate. Based on the research and analysis in section IV, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the level of learning achievement of class VIII K students of MTsN 4 Denanyar Jombang before and after implementing the (TSTS) type cooperative learning model. This finding is supported by the paired t-test with a significance result of 0.000, which is lower than the established error level of 0.05

Abstract

For teachers, digital literacy is an important ability and skill to master. One form of digital literacy that is increasingly relevant is the ability to make animated videos. However, many teachers may not yet have the skills in using Plotagon or making animated videos in general. Therefore, special training is needed to improve the digital literacy of teachers at Dharma Amiruhur High School, especially in terms of making Plotagon-assisted animation videos. This service was carried out by a team of service from Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, the service partner is SMA Dharma Amiluhur with participants being teachers at SMA Dharma Amiluhur totaling 12 people. The approach used is an active participation, activity orientation, program, and independence approach. The results of the service show that the implementation also shows that the success of the implementation of the service. The success can also be seen from the average results obtained showing that ?80% of participants have knowledge and understanding related to Plotagon animation videos. This service made the teachers of SMA Dharma Amiluhur as participants helped in the implementation of learning.

Abstract

The incidence of short toddlers or commonly known as stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. Stunting is a condition of failure to grow in children under five years old as a result of chronic malnutrition, so that the child is too short for his age. The problem of stunting has a quite serious impact on the quality of human resources, especially the educational aspect. This impact is not only limited to academic achievement, but also to other aspects such as learning motivation, social abilities and the child's future. According to data from the Jombang District Health Service, in 2023 there will be approximately 534 toddlers experiencing stunting spread across all regions in Jombang Regency. Based on this explanation, community service in Randuwatang village through community service activities in the field of education took the initiative to implement a balanced nutrition socialization work program as an effort to prevent stunting, especially regarding its prevention. The method for implementing this socialization program consists of several strategic steps designed to ensure the effectiveness of activities in increasing public understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition and appropriate parenting patterns to prevent stunting. Community approach: Service implementers will start by coordinating with community leaders, village heads and posyandu cadres in Randuwatang Village. Based on the results and discussion of the implementation of community service activities with the socialization of "The Importance of Balanced Nutrition and Parenting as an Effort to Prevent Stunting" in Randuwatang Village, it was concluded that the socialization activities succeeded in increasing the community's knowledge and understanding by 80% about the importance of balanced nutrition and the dangers of stunting.
