Abstract

Vocational education in Indonesia faces significant challenges in providing practical learning that is safe, contextual, and aligned with the demands of Industry 4.0. In automotive bodywork painting, vocational students often face constraints such as limited practice facilities, exposure to hazardous chemicals, and restricted opportunities for creative exploration. This study addresses those challenges by developing and implementing a Virtual Project-Based Learning (VPjBL) model at SMK PGRI 3 Malang, a partner school of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program at Universitas Negeri Malang. Using a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach, the study involved three main stages: (1) development of a VPjBL model using the V-MIX AutoPaint simulation software, (2) validation by vocational education experts and industry practitioners, and (3) limited implementation at the partner school. A total of 36 students from the Automotive Body Engineering program participated. Data were collected using creativity pretests and posttests, observations, and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using N-Gain scores, while qualitative data were analyzed thematically. Results showed moderate improvement in all creativity dimensions.—with an average N-Gain score of 0.52. The VPjBL model enabled digital-based creative exploration, improved students’ digital literacy, and fostered collaborative skills. Theoretically, these findings provide empirical evidence that integrating VR-supported and project-based learning approaches can enhance creativity, digital competence, and engagement in vocational education. Practically, the VPjBL model offers an innovative framework for schools and teachers to implement safe, interactive, and future-oriented automotive learning aligned with Industry 4.0 and electric vehicle technology development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X TSM 1 SMKN 11 Malang melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Numbered Head Together (NHT) pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Teknik Sepeda Motor, khususnya pada materi elemen dasar elektronika otomotif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model spiral Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas X TSM 1. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari 51,61% pada tahap prasiklus menjadi 74,19% pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 93,55% pada siklus II. Rata-rata nilai siswa juga meningkat dari 69,32 menjadi 81,87. Selain itu, pembelajaran dengan NHT mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa, motivasi belajar, dan pemahaman konsep secara mendalam. Model NHT juga memfasilitasi pengembangan soft skills seperti kerja sama, komunikasi, dan tanggung jawab. Suasana kelas menjadi lebih dinamis dan kolaboratif, dengan siswa aktif berdiskusi, bertanya, dan menjelaskan konsep kepada teman sekelompoknya. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa model NHT efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran teknik di SMK, baik dari aspek kognitif maupun afektif. Oleh karena itu, penerapan model ini direkomendasikan untuk digunakan secara luas dalam pembelajaran kejuruan berbasis keterampilan.   This study aims to improve the academic achievement of 10th-grade students in the Motorcycle Engineering and Business program at SMKN 11 Malang through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) in the Basic Motorcycle Engineering subject, specifically in basic automotive electronics. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model consisting of two cycles. Each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 36 students of class X TSM 1. Data collection was carried out through achievement tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in learning mastery from 51.61% in the pre-cycle to 74.19% in cycle I and then to 93.55% in cycle II. The average score also rose from 69.32 to 81.87. Moreover, NHT effectively enhanced students’ active participation, learning motivation, and conceptual understanding. It also promoted the development of soft skills such as collaboration, communication, and responsibility. The classroom environment became more dynamic and collaborative, with students engaging in discussions, asking questions, and explaining concepts to their peers. These findings confirm that the NHT model is effective in improving the quality of vocational learning in technical education, both cognitively and affectively. Therefore, this model is recommended for broader application in skill-based vocational education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based e-learning module intended to enhance vocational students’ collaborative and communication skills. The study addresses the limited availability of interactive and engaging digital learning media that effectively support the development of 21st-century skills. The research adopted a Research and Development (R&D) approach utilizing the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The product was validated by media and material experts, yielding an average score of 93,5%, categorized as very Valid. The results indicate that the developed AR-based e-learning module is effective in improving students’ collaboration and communication skills and can serve as an innovative digital learning medium in vocational education.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji penerapan sistem produksi pelet organik pabrik mini yang dirancang untuk mengatasi tantangan biaya pakan ikan yang tinggi dan ketergantungan pada pemasok komersial di kalangan usaha mikro akuakultur pedesaan. Bertempat di Desa Blimbing, Jawa Timur, inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan UKM pembudidaya ikan lele lokal dengan memperkenalkan model produksi pakan yang hemat biaya dan dioperasikan oleh masyarakat berdasarkan limbah organik pertanian dan rumah tangga yang bersumber secara lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka kerja aksi partisipatif yang dipadukan dengan metode campuran, menggabungkan uji coba produksi teknis, evaluasi ekonomi, pengujian palatabilitas, dan analisis persepsi pemangku kepentingan. Intervensi melibatkan empat siklus produksi menggunakan mesin sederhana yang disesuaikan untuk lingkungan pedesaan, disertai dengan pelatihan langsung dan pengumpulan umpan balik kualitatif dari peserta aktif. Hasil menunjukkan kelayakan teknis dan operasional model, dengan efisiensi konversi pakan rata-rata 77,6% dan tingkat keberhasilan batch lengkap. Secara ekonomi, biaya pakan yang diproduksi secara lokal 42,2% lebih rendah daripada alternatif komersial, menghasilkan penghematan substansial bagi perusahaan. Ikan merespons pakan secara positif, dengan konsumsi terjadi dalam jangka waktu yang optimal. Peserta melaporkan kepuasan yang tinggi, khususnya dalam hal manfaat ekonomi dan kegunaan teknologi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa sistem produksi pakan yang terdesentralisasi dapat meningkatkan keberlanjutan akuakultur pedesaan, mengurangi biaya produksi, dan meningkatkan keterlibatan dan otonomi masyarakat. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pabrik mini menawarkan solusi yang dapat direplikasi untuk akuakultur skala kecil di lingkungan dengan keterbatasan sumber daya. Model ini berkontribusi pada wacana yang lebih luas tentang akuakultur berkelanjutan dengan menyelaraskan prinsip ekonomi sirkular dengan inovasi lokal. Penelitian lebih lanjut direkomendasikan untuk memperluas analisis nutrisi dan skalabilitas di berbagai lingkungan.
