Abstract

Mansiang weaving is a famous handicraft in Jorong Taratak, which has been passed down from generation to generation and has become an ancestral heritage. The craft business aims to develop variations of woven Taratak mansiang leaf products and to improve the quality of woven Taratak mansiang leaf products. The activity methods carried out are training, practice, discussion, and business consultation methods involving craftsmen groups in Taratak. The training participants are group leaders consisting of 6 people. Before the training is carried out, a pre-test is conducted to determine the participants’ abilities, and after the training, a post-test is carried out to determine the participants’ ability to absorb the material presented. The results of the activities increase craftsmen’s understanding of market opportunities in the middle and upper segments, develop product variations that are in demand by the middle and upper segments, and improve product quality to target the middle and upper segments. From the results of the activity, 90% of the craftsmen understood the material presented. There are six product designs that will be planned for production. There are 2 to 5 products whose production results we evaluate, which in turn can be improved in the future. From the activities, service activities are expected to be sustainable, hence they can have an impact on partner business performance. It is necessary to develop product variety and quality by adding production equipment such as sewing machines and special training for production.

Abstract

The decline in the Global Innovation Index (GII) in Indonesia highlights the importance of promoting Innovative Work Behavior. In response, the government has initiated a Large-scale Bureaucracy Reform Design, emphasizing the significance of innovation in achieving world-class governance. Innovative Work Behavior is defined as creative ideas and contributions from employees in solving job-related problems, which impact organizational performance improvement. This research is motivated by the need for innovation in the public sector, particularly in the digital transformation of government services. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Digital Skills and Transformational Leadership on Innovative Work Behavior, mediated by Readiness for Change, in the context of implementing Dukcapil Go Digital in the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Dharmasraya Regency. This research is a case study with a quantitative approach. The research respondents are all employees of Disdukcapil Dharmasraya Regency. This study uses primary data obtained from respondent answers through a questionnaire filled out via Google Forms. Data analysis technique uses the SEM-PLS (Structural Equating Modeling-Partial Least Square) method. The research findings indicate that Digital Skills and Transformational Leadership have a positive and significant influence on the Innovative Work Behavior of employees in the Population and Civil Registration Office of Dharmasraya Regency. Digital Skills also have a positive and significant influence on Readiness for Change, while Transformational Leadership does not have a significant influence on Readiness for Change. Although Readiness for Change has a positive impact, it is not significant on Innovative Work Behavior. Furthermore, Readiness for Change is not able to function as a mediator between Digital Skills and Innovative Work Behavior, as well as between Transformational Leadership and Innovative Work Behavior.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research on open innovation (OI) has increased in recent years, demonstrating its potential in various fields of knowledge. Its linkages with SMEs have attracted the attention of academics. This analysis was conducted from 2018 to 2022. This article aims to evaluate the intellectual structure of open innovation scientific studies, and their relation to various scientific fields, through bibliometric analysis using the Scopus database, publish or perish, the lens, and the VOSviewer software application. The methodology consists of a selective systematic and transparent process divided into four phases: (i) establishing search criteria for research fields, through literature review, (ii) database selection, (iii) application of inclusion and exclusion criteria to the selected documents and explanation of their uses software; and (iv) analysis of results through a scientific output performance approach and bibliometric mapping. The results show an increasing trend of open innovation publications quite a lot, especially in the United Kingdom and the United States, but only a few studies discussing open innovation in SMEs for researchers in Indonesia totaling 121 articles discussing marketing, economics, management and social sciences. So there are many opportunities for researchers in Indonesia. This study contributes to the field by providing an overview of open innovation in the context of MSMEs. Keywords: Open Innovation, Bibliometric, The Lens, VOSviewer

Abstract

Abstract. Companies increasingly leverage social media tools to access knowledge from external actors, particularly customers and other users, to facilitate innovation processes and corporate performance. This research aims to analyze the influence of human capital on open innovation and business performance through social media. This research was conducted on MSMEs in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The sample was 200 MSMEs in Padang City. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The quantitative method is then processed and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) data analysis techniques with smartPLS. This research examines how external knowledge flows of human capital sourced from social media influence open innovation and business performance. The findings in this research are that there is a positive and significant influence between human capital on business performance, human capital on open innovation, human capital on social media, and social media on open innovation. On the other hand, social media does not have a positive or significant influence on business performance. This research also shows the role of social media as a mediator of the positive and significant relationship between human capital and open innovation. Meanwhile, social media fails to mediate the relationship between human capital and company performance. Overall, these findings underscore the importance of human capital in enhancing open innovation through social media, thereby impacting firm performance.   Keywords: Human capital, social media, open innovation, business performance   Abstrak. Abstract

An effective performance management system (PMS) needs special recognition from researchers, specifically regarding its holistic and comprehensive approach to improving organizational effectiveness. Researchers' interest in the effectiveness of PMS is relatively high from various perspectives.  This study aims to determine which antecedents drive effective PMS comprehensively. This research was conducted using a systematic literature review of research articles from 2000 to the latest in 2024. The review included 28 final articles from reputable journals. Several critical elements of effective PMS were discovered: regular feedback and effective communication, employee involvement and empowerment, fairness and objectivity, strategic alignment and integration, clear performance goals and planning, top management commitment, performance-oriented culture, integrating PMS, and rewards and recognition. By focusing on these aspects, organizations can ensure that their employees are engaged and motivated, supporting their strategic goals.
