Abstract

The challenges of globalization and technological progress demand changes in the education system, including Islamic education, so that it remains relevant to current developments. Modernization of Islamic education in Indonesia is a challenge that requires a balance between preserving traditional Islamic values and the need to respond to developments in the era. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in the process of modernizing Islamic education in Indonesia. This research method uses library research. Meanwhile, the approach taken in this study is to use the content analysis approach. The data collection techniques in this study include: Source Identification, source tracing, document collection. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique follows Winner and Dominick with the following steps: data reduction, data categorization, data interpretation, drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that NU has succeeded in maintaining traditional Islamic values in its educational institutions, while gradually adopting elements of modernization. However, challenges remain, especially in terms of resistance from some conservative groups and limited access to technology in rural areas. It can be concluded that the modernization of Islamic education by NU offers a balanced model between tradition and innovation, which is relevant to be used as a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Motorized vehicles are an important part of the daily life of the Indonesian people. The number of motor vehicle users is increasing every year, making the crime rate of the loss of a motorcycle a news that is often heard in the community. To prevent loss, a security is needed that does not only rely on handlebar locks and padlocks on motorcycles. Based on these problems, a security system is needed that can track the location of the motorcycle using the Global Positioning System (GPS) and turn off the electric current of the motorcycle over long distances that can be monitored by users through the website. This research uses a waterfall method developed based on research needs. In the design of the hardware system used by the Arduino UNO microcontroller as a system control, the SIM808 module as a network and GPS intermediary, and the relay as an electric circuit breaker. Based on the research that has been carried out, it was concluded that the system can read the location point of the motorcycle and can decide the remote electric current that is monitored through the website. Where data transfer uses GPRS communication with HTTP protocol.

Abstract

This paper delineates the various policies implemented by the Japanese colonialadministration in regulating Islam in Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative research approach, it draws upon library sources for its data. The study reveals that Japan, much like the Netherlands, aimed to exploit Indonesia's resources for its own needs. However, the policies of the two colonial powers were sometimes diametrically opposed, particularly in their approach to the Muslim population. While the Dutch sought to subdue Muslims by severing ties, isolating, and halting Islamic movements, viewing them as adversaries, the Japanese adopted a contrasting strategy. Japan endeavored to pacify Muslims by creating a calmeratmosphere, persuading, and embracing Islamic movements to position them as allies, or at least neutral entities. Although Japanese colonial rule continued to oppress and exploit Muslims similarly to the Dutch, it afforded them valuable opportunities to participate in political movements and military education opportunities that were entirely absent during Dutch colonial rule.

Abstract

This article aims to reconstruct the cultural fiqh approach as an integrative strategy to strengthen constitutional guarantees for local culture in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a juridical-conceptual and philosophical-cultural approach to examine the relationship between Islamic law (fiqh), local culture, and state legal norms. The analysis is carried out through a literature study of classical and contemporary fiqh texts, constitutional documents, and the thoughts of progressive fiqh figures. The research findings show that fiqh has epistemological flexibility that allows accommodation to local culture through rules such as al-‘ādah muhakkamah and maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. The Indonesian Constitution, especially Article 28I and Article 32 of the 1945 Constitution, provides a strong legal basis for the preservation of regional culture. This article formulates an integrative model between fiqh and constitutional guarantees that allows the preservation and strengthening of local culture harmoniously within the framework of Islamic values and national law

Abstract

This research is a critique of the 2024 State Ministry Law which gives the President the freedom to form Ministries according to his needs.. Based on this law, the President, Prabowo Subianto, formed a Cabinet consisting of 48 Ministries. For this reason, it is urgent to immediately enact a Presidential Agency Law to limit the President's power in determining the posture of ministries so that their functions do not overlap, do not reflect cabinet affairs, and prevent corruption. Through the Presidential Agency Law, it is hoped that the President will not use Ministerial positions as political barter and "share power" with political parties, coalitions and volunteers in General Elections. This research is normative research with statutory, historical, comparative and conceptual approaches. In this study it was concluded: 1).Cabinet dynamics in Indonesia after the enactment of the 2008 Law on State Ministries, namely, the Indonesia Bersatu; The Kerja Cabinet; and The Indonesia Maju Cabinet has Cabinet members, 34 Ministry; and Merah Putih Cabinet,  The number of Cabinet members is 48 Ministries in accordance with the 2024 State Ministry Law which gives the President the freedom to form Ministries according to his needs. 2).Design a Reconstruction of Restrictions on the President's Power in Determining the Posture of Ministries in the Indonesian Government System, namely: First, Establishing the Presidential Agency Law. Second, the Law on Presidential Agency must regulate the maximum number of 24 Ministries. Third, the amalgamation of Institutions within the President's circle to become an integral part of the Ministry of State Secretary. Fourth, the abolition of the Coordinating Ministry Institution. Fifth, Elimination of the Position of Vice Minister

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work environment and workload on employee performance at PT Adis Dimension Footwear. This type of research is quantitative with an associative approach. The sample used was 30 respondents. Data analysis techniques used include multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of the analysis show that the work environment (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y), with a regression coefficient value of 0.663 and a calculated t value of 4.740 (significance 0.000 <0.05). Conversely, workload (X2) has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient value of -0.218 and a calculated t value of -2.115 (significance 0.044 <0.05). The F-test shows that simultaneously the work environment and workload have a significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated F value of 11.358 and a significance of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.457 indicates that 45.7% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these two independent variables, while the remaining 54.3% can be influenced by other variables such as compensation and indications of low employee commitment. Thus, it can be concluded that the work environment and workload, both partially and simultaneously, have a significant effect on employee performance at PT Adis Dimension Footwear.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of training and career development on employee performance at PT. Adis Dimension Footwear Balaraja Tangerang, especially in the People Organization Development (POD) section. The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS software version 25. The results showed that the training variable had a significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by the calculated t value > t table (4.657 > 2.00575) and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. On the other hand, career development did not have a significant effect on employee performance with a calculated t value < t table (1.950 < 2.00575) and a significance of 0.057 > 0.05. However, simultaneously, training and career development had a significant effect on employee performance with a calculated F value > F table (18.232 > 3.18) and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that training is a crucial factor in improving employee performance, while career development requires a more targeted approach to significantly contribute to performance improvement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the financial statements of political parties and campaign funds for Political Parties Election Contestants in Indonesia which intersect but are not integrated into one source of public information. Political party reforms that have not yet occurred have an impact on the financial arrangements of political parties that are not detailed, transparent, and accountable. So we need the formula to unify all financial statements of political parties in an application or information system that contains information on revenue and expenditure from all financial sources of each political party. This is because providing access to political finance is crucial to the quality of elections and democracy. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the need for integration of political party financial reports and campaign funds in an information system that is widely accessible to the public. The research method used is a literature study. In this study it can be concluded that the integration of political parties' financial statements is necessary because voter references to the finances of political parties and candidates in the previous elections can affect the quality of the level of participation in the next election.

Abstract

This study examines how Islamic modernism in Aceh evolved into Islamism, based on evidence from historical records. The author argues that Islamic modernism played a key role in shaping the rise of Islamism in Aceh. To support this, the study breaks the development into three key periods. The first period focuses on the spread of Islamic modernist ideas through the madrasa network. The second period explores how these ideas interacted with the growing sense of Indonesian nationalism. The third period examines how Islamist ideas became more established, particularly with the introduction of local democracy after the peace agreement that ended the conflict. This study employs a qualitative methodology with a historical approach, with data collected through literature review and archival document analysis. The study concludes that Islamic modernism was important in forming Islamist ideology in Aceh. The study concludes that Islamic modernism was important in forming Islamist ideology in Aceh. Unlike other studies that link Islamic modernism with support for democracy, this research shows that in Aceh, the shift from Islamic modernism to Islamism has led to a more skeptical attitude toward modern concepts like human rights and democracy. This study offers a nuanced perspective on the ideological trajectory of Islamic thought in Aceh by challenging the dominant narrative that Islamic modernism is inherently aligned with democratic values. Through a periodized analysis and a focus on Aceh’s unique political history, the study enriches our understanding of the complex relationship between religion, nationalism, and democratization in Muslim-majority regions.
