Abstract

ABSTRAK: Pengembangan ubi jalar ungu (Ipomea batatas L.)sebagai pangan fungsional banyak dilakukan di Indonesia. Sedangkan pemanfaatan daun ubi jalar ungu belum banyak digunakan dan hanya sebagai limbah hasil pertanian. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas antioksidan dari daun ubi jalar ungu. Daun ubi jalar ungu mempunyai metabolit sekunder yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan. Salah satu manfaat dari senyawa antioksidan yaitu untuk meredam radikal bebas yang disebabkan oleh stres oksidatif. Stres oksidatif dapat ditimbulkan dari mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol. Arak merupakan minuman beralkohol khas dari Bali dan digunakan dalam upacara keagamaan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun ubi jalar ungu dalam menurunkan kadar MDA pada tikus wistar yang mengkonsumsi arak. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan Pre-test Post-tes kontrol Group Desain. Setiap kelompok diberika arak selama 14 hari dan dihari berikutya diberikan ekstrak etanol daun ubi jalar ungu dengan dosis 50 mg/kg BB (P1), 75 mg/kg BB (P2) dan 100 mg/kg BB (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol daun ubi jalar ungu pada pemberian 50, 75 dan 100 mg/kg BB ekstrak dengan p < 0,05. ABSTACT: The development of purple sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) as a functional food is mostly done in Indonesia. While the utilization of purple sweet potato leaves has not been widely used and only considered as agricultural waste. There has been several research on the antioxidant activity of purple sweet potato leaves. The purple sweet potato leaves have secondary metabolites function as antioxidants. One of the benefits of antioxidant compounds is to reduce free radicals caused by oxidative stress. Oxidative stress can be generated from consuming alcoholic beverages. Arak or palm wine is a typical alcoholic beverage from Bali and commonly used in religious ceremonies. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of purple sweet potato extracts in reducing levels of MDA in wistar rats that consumed arak. Experimental study was applied in this research using the design of Pre-test Post-control Group Design tests. Each group was given arak for 14 days and the following day the purple sweet potato ethanol extract was given with doses of 50 mg / kg BW (P1), 75 mg / kg BW (P2) and 100 mg / kg BW (P3). The results showed that thre was an effect of ethanol extract of purple sweet potato leaves on the administration of 50, 75 and 100 mg/kg BW extract respectively with p <0,05.

Abstract

  Telah dilakukan uji sifat fisik sediaan cair handsanitizer herbal campuran dari sirih (Piper betle. L.), sereh wangi (Cymbopogon benardus L.), lidah buaya (Aloe vera L.), dan lemon (citrus aurantifolia L.). Tanaman yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu flavonoid, minyak atsiri, saponin, polifenol, dan tanin yang telah terbukti memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sifat fisik dari handsanitizer herbal yang meliputi: uji organoleptik, uji pH, dan Uji iritasi kulit. Metode penelitian adalah metode penelitian eksperimental laboratorium. Hasil dari penelitian ini dari uji organoleptik yaitu handsanitizer ini berwarna hijau kekuningan, berbau, tidak terdapat pemisahan, dan berbentuk cair. Uji pH menunjukkan sebesar 5 dan tidak menunjukkan ruam kemerahan pada kulit saat dilakukan uji iritasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa handsanitizer campuran dari sirih (Piper betle. L.), sereh wangi (Cymbopogon benardus L.), lidah buaya (Aloe vera L.), dan lemon (Citrus aurantifolia L.). aman untuk digunakan dan telah memenuhi SNI.

Abstract

The GERMAS (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat or healthy-live society program)  is a government program as an effort to increase the level of public health. Healthy living behavior should be instilled as early as possible. The implementation priority of GERMAS is for the elementary school. Medahan 2 Elementary School is one of the elementary schools in Medahan Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. Students and teachers at Medahan 2 Elementary School share common problems that are not yet aware of the GERMAS and PHBS programs. In addition, the lack of supporting facilities that are feasible for PHBS implementation is an obstacle in the implementation of the GERMAS program, especially on environmental cleanliness and the use of coloring agents in food. It is expected that after socialization and training, there will be an increased knowledge about the GERMAS program, improved implementation of physical activities, elevated consumption of natural dyes and environmentally hygiene foods, increased knowledge of PHBS, improved knowledge on the proper hand washing method, and improved quality of supporting facilities for school environment cleanliness. The results of this dedication showed an increase in PHBS facilities, especially hand washing places for elementary school students in  Medahan 2 Elementary School. Educational activities on GERMAS, especially environmental hygiene and food without harmful chemicals increased student knowledge by 92.3%. The hand washing method was increased by 89.5% at the end of GERMAS program.

Abstract

Meat traders in Mambal Market of Mambal Abiansemal Village still do not fulfill the requirement, because of their location are close to vegetable and daily goods traders, so that it affect the sur-rounding odor as well as the air circulation that inhaled by traders and buyers. The aim of this study was to identify factors related with hygiene and sanitation of the meat shops in Mambal Market. The study was a cross sectional design with questionnaire and observation as the data instruments. Based on the results, factors that are related with hygiene and sanitation of the meat shops are: personal hygiene (p-value 0,024), equipment and facilities (p value 0,001), sewerage system (p value 0,001), and meat cutter devices (p value 0,001). Factors which are identified corresponding with personal hygiene and the sanitation of meat shops are: traders do not wear personal protective devices, wear rings and smoke while working, and open sewerage system and no hand-washing facility provided.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influence employee intention to conduct whistleblowing actions based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) proposed by Ajzen and Fishben (1988). The variables used in this study are subjective norms, attitudes toward behavior and perceptions of behavior control as independent variables and the intention to conduct whistleblowing as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at the Tabanan District Attorney. The number of samples taken was 65 employees, with saturated sampling method (census). Data collection was carried out through interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. This analysis is used to calculate the magnitude of the influence of subjective norms, attitudes toward behavior and perceptions of behavioral control on the intention to conduct whistleblowing actions. The results of this study state that subjective norms have a significant effect on employee intention to conduct whistleblowing actions. In addition, attitudes towards behavior also have a significant effect on employees' intention to conduct whistleblowing actions. Perceptions of behavioral control also have a significant effect on employee intentions to carry out whistleblowing actions.

Abstract

Environmental Health Risk Assessment (EHRA) is a study to understand the condition of sanitation facilities and behaviors that pose a risk to public health. Wanasari Village is one of the tourist destinations that can have a very complex impact, especially on aspects of environmental health. The purpose of this study was to obtain representative data on the sanitation facilities condition and community behavior in Wanasari Village which are at risk for environmental health. This study uses a stratified random sampling technique with the sample in Wanasari Village as a target study area. The households visited in each Banjar were randomly selected and then interviewed according to the available questionnaires and continued to the next sample until 100 respondents were found for 5 Banjars which were then analyzed. The condition of the facilities and the behavior of the community based on the results of the questionnaire stated that the inadequate facilities were facilities for domestic wastewater and problems with stagnant water. Results of the sanitation analysis risk index with high risk are found in Banjar Wanasari Baleran and moderate risk in Banjar Periyukti with the main problems in domestic wastewater and stagnant water. Banjar Abianlalang, Banjar Wanasari Belodan, and Banjar Wanasari Tengah with the main problems in solid waste, domestic wastewater, and stagnant water are included in the category of less risky areas.

Abstract

Smoking behavior in adolescents is one of the global problems faced by most countries in the world. The prevalence of smoking among youth aged 10-14 years has increased from 9% in 1995 to 17.4% in 2021. This study aims to determine the distribution of marketing of cigarette products and cigarette advertisements around schools in Badung Regency. Schools were targeted for mapping starting from the elementary, middle and high school/vocational school levels. Cigarette traders and advertisements are carried out by applying a Geographic Information System (GIS). The results showed that most of the observed schools had cigarette sellers around the school. In addition, cigarette advertisements in the form of banners can be found attached to shops or stalls near schools. Cigarette sellers and advertisements are mostly found around Junior High Schools (SMP). The closest distance between cigarette sellers and cigarette advertisements found is 100 meters from the school. The high smoking behavior among young people is related to the density of sales (retail) of cigarettes and the proximity of retail to schools or homes. In addition, cigarette sellers also display attractive tobacco promotions (Tobacco advertisements, promotions and sponsorships/TAPS) at points of sale (Point of Sale/PoS), placed specifically at certain locations and times of purchase. This will increase the chances of smoking initiation among adolescents and hinder smoking cessation efforts for active smokers.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKabupaten Karangasem merupakan tempat produksi arak khususnya di Kecamatan Sidemen. Arak digunakan di Bali sebagai minuman tradisional dan dikonsumsi saat acara keagamaan. Arak merupakan minuman hasil fermentasi dari nira kelapa dan melalui proses penyulingan. Arak di Bali diproduksi secara tradisional dengan menggunakan alat yang sederhana. Arak mengandung alkohol jenis etanol. Kasus keracunan arak semakin meningkat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh arak dicampurkan dengan metanol. Metanol dapat menyebabkan kematian apabila dikonsumsi karena di dalam tubuh metanol dimetabolisme menghasilkan formaldehid. Telah dilakukan identifikasi jenis alkohol dalam arak yang dijual di Kecamatan Sidemen dengan menggunakan metode kromatografi gas. Hasil kromatogram dari kromatografi menunjukkan tidak adanya kroatogram metanol. Hal ini menunjukkan arak hasil produksi tidak menghasilkan dan mengandung metanol dan kemungkinan dicampurkan saat di distribusikan ke pejual.Kata kunci: arak, minuman beralkohol, kromatografi gas.ABSTRACTKarangasem Regency is a place for wine production especially in Sidemen District. Arak is used in Bali as a traditional drink and consumed during religious events. Arak is a fermented beverage from coconut juice and through the distillation process. Arak in Bali is traditionally produced using simple tools. Arak contains ethanol alcohol. The case of wine poisoning is increasing. This is caused by the wine mixed with methanol. Methanol can cause death if consumed because in the body methanol is metabolized to produce formaldehyde. Identification of the type of alcohol in the wine that has been sold in Sidemen Subdistrict has been done using gas chromatography method. Chromatogram results from chromatography showed no methanol chromatogram. This shows that the product of wine does not produce and contains methanol and may be mixed when distributed to the seller. Abstract

ABSTRAKSalah satu perkebunan pandan wangi di Bali adalah kelompok tani milenial mengusung nama UD Melonila, yang terletak di Jalan Raya Munggu Kapal, Banjar Batanduren Desa Cepaka, Kediri, Tabanan, Bali. Sejauh ini penanganan pasca panen daun pandan wangi hanya dilakukan dengan memangkas daun kemudian dijual ke pengepul, dan sebagian dibeli oleh pedagang canang yang ada di kawasan tersebut. Penanganan pasca panen dengan mengolah daun pandan wangi menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi belum pernah dilakukan. Permasalahan mitra: 1) Mitra belum mengetahui teknologi pasca panen daun pandan wangi yang tepat untuk menghasilkan suatu produk dengan daya jual yang lebih tinggi 2) Mitra belum memiliki pengetahuan tentang simplisia dan metode pengolahan daun pandan wangi menjadi simplisia. Solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu 1)Sosialisasi melalui penyuluhan tentang pengenalan produk simplisia, 2)Sosialisasi melalui penyuluhan tentang definisi simplisia, kegunaan dan metode pengolahan daun pandan wangi menjadi simplisia. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu; 1)Tingkat pengetahuan mitra meningkat dari tidak tahu menjadi tahu akan pengembangan produk simplisia; 2)Semua anggota Mitra yang mengikuti sosialisasi mendapatkan rerata nilai pemahaman 84 pada post-test.Kata Kunci : Desa Cepaka, Kelompok Tani Milenial, Simplisia, Pandan Wangi

Abstract

ABSTRACTCatur village, bangli regency is one of the tourist villages in the province of bali. This village is very potential as a wista village because of its natural potential. One of the strengths of this village is its agriculture and natural resources in the form of waterfalls, historic caves and natural coolness. In supporting tourism in the chess village, the community develops a traditional home stay. But management is not done to the maximum. Particularly related to environmental sanitation and food hygiene activities there is no training and assistance so that sanitation hygiene practices have not been implemented. This partnership program provides a solution to solve the problem, which is to provide training and assistance in environmental sanitation and food hygiene to the tourism conscious group so that it can be implemented in a managed home stay.the result of this dedication is an increase in sanitation hygiene facilities at the homestay by 90%, an increase in participants' knowledge, namely the management of the homestay about the importance of environmental sanitation, food and personal hygiene by 80%. The conclusion in this service is a significant increase before and after the community service activities. Dalam mendukung pariwisata di Desa Catur, masyarakat mengembangkan home stay tradisional. Tetapi pengelolaan kurang dilakukan dengan maksimal. Khususnya terkait dengan kegiatan higiene sanitasi lingkungan dan makanan belum adanya pelatihan dan pendampingan sehingga belum terlaksana praktek higiene sanitasi. Program kemitraan ini memberikan solusi dalam menyelesaiakan masalah tersebut yaitu memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan higiene sanitasi lingkungan dan makanan pada kelompok sadar pariwisata sehingga dapat diterapkan di home stay yang telah dikelola.Hasil pengabdian ini yaitu terjadinya peningkatan fasilitas higiene sanitasi di homestay sebesar 90%, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yaitu pengelola homestay tentang pentingnya higiene sanitasi lingkungan, makanan dan personal higiene sebesar 80 %. Kesimpulan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan sebelum dan setelah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat
