Abstract

Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) membutuhkan kisaran parameter kualitas air yang optimal untuk menunjang kehidupannya, termasuk pH. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan penambahan daun ketapang (Terminalia catappa) dan daun ubi jalar (Ipomoea batatas) terhadap kestabilan nilai pH air untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei). Uji coba dilaksanakan di BBIP Poniang selama 40 hari. Hewan uji yang digunakan yaitu larva udang vaname pada stadia PL 20. Menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yakni 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan A (tanpa penambahan), perlakuan B (DK 7), perlakuan C (DUJ 4) dan perlakuan D (Kom_DK 7 + DUJ 4). Frekuensi pemberian pakan sebanyak 4 kali sehari yakni pagi (07:00), siang (13:00), sore (17:00) dan malam (21:00) WITA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan DUJ 4 (penambahan daun ubi jalar 4g L-1) berpengaruh nyata (p<0.05) terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 3,39g, dan kelangsungan hidup 44%, namun tidak signifikan meningkatkan tingkat kestabilan pH air, dan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak.

Abstract

Milkfish (Chanos chanos) is a species of high economic value and one of the primary commodities in aquaculture. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of Probiotic-7 applied to the rearing medium on water quality and the growth performance of milkfish fingerlings. The experiment was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replicates: P1 (control, without Probiotic-7), P2 (1 mL/L), P3 (2 mL/L), P4 (3 mL/L), and P5 (4 mL/L). The best absolute length and weight growth were observed in treatment P3, with a weight gain of 3.83 g. Treatment P3 also exhibited the highest specific growth rate (SGR) of 5.1% and the most efficient feed conversion ratio (FCR) of 1.21. The highest survival rates were recorded in treatments P2 and P3, reaching 97.77%. Throughout the rearing period, water quality parameters remained within optimal ranges: salinity 26–29 ppt, temperature 29–30°C, pH 7.6–7.8, dissolved oxygen (DO) 7–7.8 mg/L, and ammonia 0.03–0.18 mg/L. These findings indicate that administering Probiotic-7 at a dose of 2 mL/L effectively enhances the growth and survival of milkfish fingerlings while maintaining water quality within suitable limits for cultivation.

Abstract

Nannochloropsis sp. is a microalga widely used as natural feed, particularly for rotifers, Artemia, and the larvae of fish and shrimp. During cultivation, this microalga requires essential nutrients such as nitrate and phosphate to support photosynthesis and growth. Aquaculture pond wastewater often contains organic matter that can cause environmental pollution but may also serve as a potential nutrient source for microalgal culture. This study aimed to evaluate the growth performance of Nannochloropsis sp. in different aquaculture wastewater media. The experiment was conducted from September to October 2021 using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: P0 (control/seawater), P1 (vannamei shrimp pond wastewater), P2 (milkfish pond wastewater), and P3 (grouper pond wastewater), each with three replications. The results showed that P1 produced the highest growth performance, with cell density reaching 2.15 × 10⁶ cells/ml. These findings indicate that shrimp pond wastewater can be utilized as an alternative medium for microalgal cultivation while simultaneously supporting sustainable aquaculture waste management.

Abstract

Laut Tawar Lake is a stagnant freshwater body located in Central Aceh Regency with an area of approximately 5,740.10 ha and has considerable fisheries potential, including freshwater lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus). The freshwater lobster is a benthic organism that inhabits rock crevices and constructs burrows in muddy substrates for shelter. The Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) provides international principles and standards to promote responsible fishing practices in order to achieve sustainable fisheries. This study aimed to assess the environmental friendliness of freshwater lobster fishing gears based on CCRF criteria. The research was conducted in December 2024 using three types of fishing gears: seruwe traps, segapa traps, and gallon traps. The results showed that the seruwe trap obtained a score of 34, the segapa trap scored 33, and the gallon trap scored 30. Based on the environmental friendliness classification of fishing gears with a score range of 28–36, all three types of fishing gears were categorized as environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Ikan Peres (Osteochilus kappeni) merupakan salah satu ikan dominan di Danau Laut Tawar dan Hulu Sungai Peusangan, Aceh Tengah. Namun saat ini populasinya semakin berkurang karena disebabkan oleh penangkapan yang berlebihan dan kerusakan lingkungan. Penggunaan bahan herbal seperti ekstrak kunyit menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan peres pada budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari pemberian ekstrak kunyit kedalam pakan dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan peres dan mengetahui dosis ekstrak kunyit yang terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup. Benih ikan peres yang digunakan berukuran 3- 5 cm. Perlakuan dosis ekstrak kunyit yang diujikan adalah 0 ml,2 ml,4 ml dan 6 ml. Hasil penelitian menunjukaan dosis ekstrak kunyit yang terbaik untuk bobot mutlak yaitu pada perlakuan P2 (1,332 gram),tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi pada perlakuan P1 (94,44 %) dan efesiensi pakan yang paling tinggi P2 (36,60 %). RKP tertinggi pada P1(4,82%). Berdasarkan analisis sidik ragam diperoleh hasil bahwa perlakuan yang diberikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian, namun tidak berpengaruh pada tingkat kelangsungan hidup, rasio konversi pakan dan efesiensi pakan. Berdasarkan uji Duncan diperoleh perlakuan yang terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan P2 (2ml/ kg pakan) untuk pertumbuhan benih ikan peres (Osteochillus kappeni).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengujii dan membandingkan pengaruh perbedaan suhu terhadap tingkat produktivitas induk ikan Guppy. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental, dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Ikan Guppy yang digunakan memiliki berat rata-rata 1,1 g. Ikan Guppy dipelihara selama 40 hari dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan yaitu S0 (26 0C), S1 (28 0C), S2 (30 0C) dan S3 (32 0C).  Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari pengaturan suhu untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pada ikan Guppy menghasilkan jumlah induk memijah, jumlah larva dan kelangsungan hidup menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berpengaruh nyata dan dari parameter kualitas air memiliki pengaruh yang nyata terhadap produktivitas. Nilai rata-rata jumlah induk memijah tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan S1 (27,31%). Nilai rata-rata jumlah larva tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P3 (7%). Nilai rata-rata kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan S2 (81,14%). Nilai rata-rata kualitas air tertinggi terdapat pada pH diperlakuan S1 (7,3%), dan DO diperlakuan S2 (5,9%).

Abstract

The abundance of plankton can describe aquatic life. The Jurung fish is a plankton feeder freshwater fish which has high economic value. This study aimed to identify plankton recognition as an indicator of the presence of Jurung fish (Tor sp.) in the Leuser area of the Lokop River in Aceh and analyze the physico-chemical factors associated with attracting plankton in the Lokop River. This research was conducted from February to March 2021. The research showed that the number of types of plankton found in the Lokop river was 17 types (13 phytoplankton and 4 zooplankton). Diversity index value of 1.538364 – 2.133691 and evennes index of 0.542975 - 0.753099 were classified as mesotropic waters with moderate fertility levels. In general, based on observations of plankton in the Lokop river, Jurung fish could be cultivated from upstream to downstream. However, it is better to be at station 1 (upstream) because there are still a lot of plankton species so that the food needs of the Jurung fish can be fulfilled.

Abstract

Penggunaan antibiotik secara berlebihan pada budidaya ikan dapat menyebabkan resistensi bakteri dan pencemaran lingkungan. Penggunaan probiotik berbahan herba merupakan pendekatan alternatif yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ikan dalam budidaya. Probiotik merupakan mikroorganisme hidup yang memberikan manfaat kesehatan bagi inang, termasuk ikan. Probiotik dapat meningkatkan pencernaan, memperkuat sistem imun, dan mengurangi penyakit pada ikan. Selain itu, probiotik juga dapat mengurangi kebutuhan akan pakan konvensional dan meningkatkan efisiensi pakan, sehingga dapat menurunkan biaya produksi budidaya perikanan. Pemanfaatan bahan-bahan alami yang tersedia di sekitar diharapkan dapat memberikan alternatif yang lebih ekonomis dan efektif mitra .Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam pembuatan probiotik yang ramah lingkungan dalam budidaya perikanan. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu koordinasi dengan mitra, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Mitra mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan probiotik berbahan ekstrak herba. Instrumen evaluasi berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda Data hasil pre-test dan post-test dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan nilai rata-rata, persentase peningkatan hasil belajar, dan perhitungan gain score untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan Peserta dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 30 taruna-taruni. Nilai hasil rata-rata pretes dan postes meningkat dari 43,67 menjadi 82,10.

Abstract

Lokop is one of the villages in East Aceh which has a watershed in the Leuser Ecosystem. Human activities have the potential to disrupt the Trophic Status of Lokop River, such as the use of pesticides for agriculture, household waste and the use of potassium for fishing. It is necessary to research the quality of the waters in the Lokop River. The plankton community present in river waters can be an indicator of environmental pollution by analyzing the saprobic index. This study aims to determine the index of plankton diversity and water quality in the Leuser Ecosystem of the Lokop River through the saprobic index. The research was conducted at three stations. A sampling of plankton was taken in the form of a 10 cc filtrate and five replications were carried out for each study site. Water quality measurements include pH, TDS, Temperature, transparancy, depth, and current. 11 potential species can be used as pollution indicators in the Lokop River, namely Cladophora sp, Diatoma elongatum, Fragilaria capucina, Oedogonium sp., Gonatozygon sp, Lyngbya agardh, Melosira sp., Merismopedia punctata, Microspora sp, Pinnularia sp, Synedra ulna. The plankton diversity index is in the medium category. Based on the Saprobic Index, the level of pollution at the research site was not to lightly loaded of organic pollution and lowly loaded of organic pollution.Keywords:IsoprobikPlanktonBioindicatorLokop

Abstract

Tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) is a commodity with high economic value because it is a consumption fish. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of different colors of rearing containers on the growth and survival of freshwater pomfret fry. The method used in this study was an experimental method with 4 treatments repeated 3 times. In each treatment, a different color was given: P1 = transparent (control), P2 = black, P3 = blue, P4 = green. The results of these treatments significantly affected absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, and daily growth rate. Meanwhile, the survival rate and feed conversion ratio did not have a significant difference. The highest absolute weight growth was found in P3 at 13,67g, while the lowest absolute weight growth was found in P1 at 8,75g. The highest absolute length growth was found in P3 at 3,49cm, while the lowest absolute length growth was found in P1 at 2,39cm. Meanwhile, the highest daily growth rate was found in P3 at 34,18g, while the lowest daily growth rate was found in P1 at 21,88g. From the results of providing different container colors in the maintenance container, the brighter the color used, the better the resulting growth is categorized
