Abstract

Hadith is everything that originates from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), whether in terms of what was reported, conveyed through his words or sayings, decrees, interpretations, deeds, and so on. The emergence of hadith interpretations was due to the development of other disciplines, such as fiqh, tafsir, and history, which made it difficult for scholars to trace the sources of the hadith they cited. Initially, scholars had such extensive memorization of hadith that they did not need interpretations. However, as time passed and knowledge advanced, this extensive memorization began to weaken, leading to the need to trace hadith in hadith books. Several scholars have conducted takhrij studies on books circulating in society where the books do not explain the quality of the hadith included, sometimes this continues until now, even takhrij hadith then become integral to the process of interpreting a work, both previously published and newly published classical scholarly works. The aim of mentakhrij hadith is to find out the original source of a hadith, to be able to add to the treasury of hadith sanad, to be able to know the quality of a hadith and also to be able to clarify hadith law. With takhrij hadith requires steps in mentakhrij hadith by tracing and determining the text of the hadith and keywords in the hadith then carrying out an analysis process of the hadith and hadith books using either the lafaz matan, maudhu'i method or the sanad method then determining the source of the hadith books and evaluating them. degree so as to conclude the results of the hadith mentahrij in a systematic and critical way towards the hadith text and its translation, the source of the hadith, the degree of the hadith and so on.

Abstract

Hadith, as the second source of Islamic law after the Qur'an, has undergone significant development in both methodology and the figures involved. This study aims to comprehensively describe the biographies and thoughts of contemporary hadith scholars, both globally and specifically in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that Yusuf al-Qardhawi and Muhammad al-Ghazali represent global scholars who have contributed significantly to the development of rational, contextual, and critical approaches in hadith studies. In Indonesia, Ali Mustafa Yaqub and Muhammad Syuhudi Ismail are key figures who have laid the foundations for a scientific and systematic study of hadith, while providing constructive criticism against orientalist views. Their thoughts emphasize the importance of isnad and matn criticism, contextual understanding, and the defense of the authenticity of hadith in facing contemporary challenges.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas transformasi pemahaman hadis Nabi yang memerintahkan orang tua untuk memerintahkan anak-anak mereka salat pada usia tujuh tahun dan memukul mereka pada usia sepuluh tahun jika mereka lalai. Penafsiran literal hadis ini seringkali mengarah pada pembenaran hukuman fisik dalam pendidikan anak. Melalui pendekatan kontekstual-sosiologis, artikel ini berargumen bahwa perintah "memukul" dalam hadis tersebut harus dipahami dalam kerangka budaya Arab klasik, yang menekankan disiplin ketat dan tidak memiliki sistem pendidikan formal modern. Dalam konteks pendidikan kontemporer, pendekatan kasih sayang (rahmah) dianggap lebih relevan dan selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip perkembangan anak serta nilai-nilai universal Islam sebagai agama rahmat. Melalui pendekatan ini, terjadi transformasi nilai—dari ta'dib otoriter menjadi model pendidikan yang lebih empatik dan humanis. Artikel ini menawarkan reinterpretasi ilmiah dan teologis atas hadis-hadis yang bermasalah, sekaligus mendorong pengembangan sistem pendidikan Islam yang adil, beradab, dan berfokus pada pembentukan karakter anak secara holistik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the prohibition of mukhadharah (sale of unripe agricultural products) from the perspective of Hadith. Mukhadharah refers to transactions involving fruits or crops that are not yet ripe and whose quality is uncertain. In Islamic law, this practice is prohibited due to the presence of gharar (uncertainty), which may harm one of the parties. This qualitative research employs hadith takhrij and critical analysis methods. The data are derived from major hadith collections such as Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan al-Nasa’i, and others. The findings reveal that the hadiths prohibiting mukhadharah are classified as sahih in terms of both sanad (chain of narrators) and matn (text). Matn analysis indicates no contradiction with the Qur’an, other authentic hadiths, historical facts, or rational reasoning. Therefore, the prohibition reflects the Islamic emphasis on justice and clarity in commercial transactions.

Abstract

Humanist education emphasizes human values, respect for individual dignity, and the holistic development of self-potential. In the perspective of Islam, this concept correlates with teachings found in the hadith, particularly those compiled in the Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. This article explores the concept of humanist education through an analysis of hadiths in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, covering aspects such as respect for individual rights, freedom of thought, empathy, and character development. Using a descriptive analysis method, this study finds that humanist education has a strong foundation in Islamic values, with hadiths encouraging the cultivation of positive attitudes and harmonious relationships within society. This shows that humanist education in Islam is an integral part of educational goals that honor humanity.

Abstract

Di tengah derasnya arus globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi, masyarakat modern menghadapi krisis moral yang semakin kompleks, seperti individualisme, materialisme, dan degradasi spiritual. Pendidikan spiritual Islam menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi tantangan ini melalui pengembangan hati dan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Qur’ani dan hadis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan spiritual Islam dalam membentuk generasi berakhlak mulia dan tangguh menghadapi tekanan zaman modern. Dua hadis utama dianalisis: pertama, pentingnya memahami ilmu agama sebagai tanda kebaikan, dan kedua, menjaga hati sebagai pusat amal. Hadis-hadis ini relevan untuk menjawab masalah sosial masa kini, seperti meningkatnya tingkat stres, rendahnya empati, dan ketidakpedulian sosial. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan spiritual dapat menjadi landasan pembentukan karakter, memberikan keseimbangan emosional, dan menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis. Dengan mengintegrasikan ajaran agama dalam pendidikan modern, Indonesia dapat mencetak generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki akhlak yang mulia.

Abstract

This article describes the principle of prophetic communication in the Hadith. This type of research is qualitative. The primary data source is Kitab Shahih al-Bukhari. in comparison, the secondary data comes from related references. The research instrument uses the HadisSoft application. We discuss ten hadiths on prophetic communication, categorized into three points. Content analysis explicitly and implicitly extracts the principles of prophetic communication in Hadith to conclude. The analysis results show that the focus of prophetic communication is honesty. Honesty is a prophetic identity that must be attached to every form of communication. The implication is that violating honesty as a principle of communication is equivalent to breaking human interests. This article's main contribution is to enrich Hadith's study from the perspective of communication, which is still lacking. Research on the principles of prophetic communication in Hadith can be developed, for example, the ethics of communication between cultures.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyse relevant hadiths in the context of education in Islam. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on literature review and textual analysis of selected hadiths. The analysis reveals that the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) hold a significant position in shaping the concepts and practices of education in Islam. Key findings include the importance of etiquette in eating and drinking as part of character education, the obligation of seeking knowledge as a religious foundation for every Muslim, and the significance of knowledge as an invaluable legacy from the Prophets. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of knowledge for both worldly success and the Hereafter, along with Allah's promise to facilitate the path to Paradise for seekers of knowledge. The implications of this research contribute to deepening the understanding of educational values in Islam and provide practical recommendations for education practitioners and parents in guiding the younger generation. It is hoped that the findings of this research will serve as a basis for developing educational curricula grounded in Islamic values and enhancing the understanding and implementation of Islamic teachings in modern educational contexts.

Abstract

 This study explores the effectiveness of innovative pedagogical approaches in hadith instruction at Athirah 2 Islamic School Makassar. The research focuses on how interactive methods, technological integration, and contextual approaches enhance students’ comprehension, participation, and motivation in internalizing hadith values. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and classroom observations, and analyzed using thematic techniques to identify key patterns and themes. The findings reveal that the use of learning technologies, group discussions, and contextual material development significantly strengthen student engagement and the relevance of hadith to everyday life. The contribution of this research lies in proposing a new pedagogical model that integrates cognitive, moral, and spiritual dimensions, while also highlighting challenges such as human resource limitations and teacher readiness as critical factors in implementation.

Abstract

Posisi hadis sebagai sumber hukum kedua dalam Islam bertumpu pada al-Qur’an, konsensus ulama (ijma), dan nalar sehat. Studi ini meneliti perkembangan historis hadis, dari masa Nabi Muhammad saw., sahabat, tabi’in, hingga era kodifikasi dan kontemporer. Fokus telaah analisis proses transmisi hadis dalam menjaga otentisitas ajaran Islam, faktor pendorong kodifikasi dan pembukuan hadis, serta dampak kitab-kitab hadis terhadap otoritas hukum Islam. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pemahaman bahwa perkembangan hadis menunjukkan kesinambungan tradisi periwayatan dan pemeliharaan yang ketat, mengarah pada pembentukan sistem sanad dan matan yang menjadi pilar keaslian hadis. Kodifikasi hadis dipengaruhi faktor seperti, semangat literasi, melemahnya daya hafal, pemalsuan hadis dan perpecahan politik. Proses ini dimulai resmi di era Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Terbentuknya kitab-kitab hadis utama memperkokoh otoritas hadis sebagai sumber hukum kedua. Kajian kontemporer terus berkembang melalui kritik sanad-matan, kontekstualisasi, dan metodologi ilmiah.
