Abstract

The activity aimed to train a targeted group in making fish tank tarpaulin which had a diameter of 150 cm, andhigh of 125 cm. Methode which was used in this project were making focus group discussion and practicing directly inmaking tarpaulin tank. Each person in the group was involved actively in all session, start from tools and materialspreparation, cutting material, frame construction, shaping the tarpaulin, till tank assembly. Through these activity, thegroup was succes to build 1 unit tank tarpaulin which was ready to use for aquaculture activity

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan formulasi pakan buatan berbahan baku tepung ikan, tepung jagung, dedak halus dan ampas tahu yang dapat memberikan pertumbuhan yang baik pada ikan nila (Oreochromis sp.). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari enam perlakuan formulasi pakan berbahan baku tepung ikan, tepung jagung, dedak halus, ampas tahu dan vitamin mix yaitu berturut-turut pakan A (20%, 10%, 39%, 30%, 1%), pakan B (25%, 25%, 24%, 25%, 1%), pakan C (30%, 24%, 20%, 25%,1%), D (35%, 25%, 15%, 24%, 1%), E (40%, 24%, 10%, 25%, 1%) dan pakan komersial sebagai pembanding, setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Ikan nila yang digunakan berukuran ±6,6 g dan dipelihara selama 30 hari dengan menggunakan sistim resirkulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan komposisi pakan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ikan nila tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup, kualitas air, konversi dan efisiensi pakan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan baku lokal yaitu tepung ikan 40%, tepung jagung 24%, dedak halus 10% dan ampas tahu 25% serta penambahan vitamin 1% pada pakan ikan nila memberikan pertumbuhan yang cenderung lebih baik dibandingkan formulasi pakan A, B, C dan D, tetapi secara keseluruhan pakan komersial memberikan pertumbuhan yang lebih tinggi. Kata Kunci : Ikan Nila, Bahan Baku Pakan, Formulasi Pakan, Pertumbuhan.

Abstract

Purposes of this research are to know some reproduction aspects of lobster, including sex ratio, gonad maturity level, size of first gonad mature, fekundity, and relationship of length-weight some. This research was conducted in June until November 2009 in Ekas Bay. During research 5 lobsters species were obtained, they are Panulirus homarus, P. versicolor, P. ornatus P. penicillatus and P. longiceps, with their of is well-balanced (1:1). Size of first gonad mature of P. homarus at carapace length 77,44 mm that happened during June - November with fekundity 28.000 - 96.000 granule, P. versicolor at carapace length 82,20 mm that happened during June - September with fekundity 16.500 - 71.000 granule, P. ornatus at carapace length 76,74 mm that happened during September - November with fekundity 47.000 - 87.000 granule, P. penicillatus at carapace length 69,84 mm that happened during June - November with fekundity 31.000 - 150.000 granule and P. longiceps at carapace length 68,47 mm that happened in June - August with fekundity 47.000 - 140.000 granule. Relationship of carapace length and body weight of five species, also male and female was described using linier regression equation and have negative allometrict pattern, where accretion of carapace length was quicker than body weight accretion.Keyword : reproduction aspect, lobster, Ekas Bay

Abstract

This study aims to determine the behavior of female brooodstock on sipny lobsters when incubating their eggs until they hatch and the larvaldevelopment. Reared of the female broodstock and hatch eggs made at the aquarium. Observation of broodstock behavior during egg incubation with visualization in the form of photos and video. Eggs that have hatched transferred to larval rearing container and given a feed Chaetocerossp, Tetraselmissp and Artemiasalina. Observation of larval development  by using a microscope and visualized in the form of photographs.Broodstock  behavior during lay eggs are always bent and telson body covering eggs, and when the eggs begin to hatch pereiopod always shaken. Filosoma larval growth stage I to the next level, marked by the addition of setae on the pereiopodThe 1st and 2nd pereiopod, where from 5 pairs at the level I to 6 pairs at level II. At level III, increased to 7 pairs of setae, and there are 3 pairs of setae on the pereiopod the 3rd and 4th pereiopod began to grow. Filosoma larval development is only to a level III, with a time of maintenance in the laboratory for 27 days.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of study was to test three systems of live fish transportation for size consumption of Nile (Oreocromis sp.). The systems were wet system, semi-wet system, and dry system, with the main measured parameter was survival rate. The experiment used Completely Randomized Design with three different treatments of transportation systems. Each treatment replicated six times. Tested fish was nile with weight of 200 g, which was transported for two hours. Analysis of varians show that survival rates of nile during transportation were 100% and not different for all treatments (p> 0,05).After rearing for 5 days, nile for wet system and semi-wet system had no different survival rate (p> 0,05), 96,66% and 93,88 % respectively, and higher (p<0,05) than dry sistem survival rate 27,22%.   Keywords : nile, survival rate, live fish transport system

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada petani lahan kering agar mampu melakukan optimalisasi pemanfaatan air melalui kegiatan produksi ikan lele. Masyarakat yang dilibatkan adalah petani hortikultura yang merupakan anggota kelompok tani Sasambo. Lokasi kegiatan adalah Dusun Amor Amor Desa Gumantar, Kecamatan Kayangan, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dari sosialisasi kegiatan, pembuatan bak pemeliharaan ikan, penyuluhan mengenai teknik budidaya ikan lele (Clarias sp.), praktek pemeliharaan ikan lele, pemanenan dan pemasaran ikan. Petani berpartisipasi aktif pada setiap rangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan. Hasil kegiatan adalah tersedianya dua unit kolam ikan berdiameter 3 m dan tinggi 1 m yang dilengkapi dengan sistem aerasi, pipa pemasukan dan pengeluaran air, serta bak pengendapan. Mitra dapat mengaplikasikan ilmu yang diperoleh yang ditunjukkan dengan berhasilnya proses pemeliharaan pada tahap pertama pemeliharaan dengan kepadatan rendah yaitu 500 ekor per bak. Jumlah ikan yang diproduksi adalah 80 kg dengan keuntungan Rp.470.000 per bak dengan masa pemeliharaan 45 hari. Keuntungan tersebut masih tergolong rendah yang disebabkan karena rendahnya tingkat kepadatan. Diharapkan pada pemeliharaan selanjutnya petani dapat meningkatkan kepadatan hingga 2.100 sampai 3.500 ekor per bak.Kata kunci: Ikan Lele, Lahan Kering, Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Air.AbstractThe objectives of the project were to transfer knowledge and skill about how to use the limited water for catfish (Clarias sp.) production. Involved community were the dry land farmers who were members of farmer group of Sasambo. The project was held at Amor Amor, Gumantar Village, Kayangan District, Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. The activity was started with introducing the community service plan to the targeted community, and making fish tank. The next step were transferring knowledge and skill to the farmer by teaching and practicing the technique about how to culturing, harvesting, and marketing the catfish. The partner participated actively during all the activities. The result were 2 unit of fish tanks with diameter 3 m and height 1 m and be equipped with aeration system, outlet and inlet pipes, and 4 settlement tanks. The involved farmer success to apply the knowledge and skill which was proven by their success to produce catfish. The farmer stocked 500 fish per tank and produce 80 kg after 45 days rearing period. The farmer obtained profit Rp 470.000 per tank. This profit was still low because they applied low density stocking. The farmer was targeted to increase their stocking density around 2.100 to 3.500 fish per tank after they have enough experience in catfish rearing.Keywords: Catfish, Dry Land, Optimization of Water Use.

Abstract

Microalgae have an important role in supporting the development of aquaculture because it can be used as natural feed. However, its culture requires an expensive cost because of the nutrient media. To reduce the cost, the media can be replaced by using wastewater from white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) culture. This research was aimed to find out the performance of microalgae (Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp. and Dunaliella sp.) cultured on white shrimp wastewater. The performance was measured by the growth, density, and ability to reduce nitrate and phosphate. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and three replications. The treatments were A (Nannochloropsis sp. cultured in white shrimp wastewater), B (Tetraselmis sp. cultured in white shrimp wastewater), and C (Dunaliella sp. cultured in white shrimp wastewater). The density population of Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp. and Dunaliella sp. were tested by ANOVA. ANOVA was used to assess the density population of Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp., and Dunaliella sp., which was then followed by Duncan's test. The results showed that wastewater from white shrimp aquaculture could be used as a medium culture for Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp. and Dunaliella sp. It also maintain good water parameter quality in media. Nannochloropsis sp. was the microalgae that produced the highest density of  34.5 x 104 ind/mL when cultured on waste water from white shrimp culture. Nannochloropsis sp. may also reduce nitrate and phosphate content by up to 76 and 61.37 percent, respectively.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kinerja bakteri probiotik Bacillus spp. dan prebiotik molase dengan dosis berbeda terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian ini menggunakan motede eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dan melibatkan 5 perlakuan, yaitu kontrol (K), Bacillus spp. 10 ml/kg pakan (A); Bacillus spp. 10 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v (B); Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg pakan (C); dan Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v(D). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan variasi untuk total bakteri, yaitu dari 2,24x108 hingga 3,78x108 CFU/ml. Demikian juga dengan total Bacillus spp. dari 1,07x106 hingga 2,02x107 CFU/ml. Adapun untuk pengamatan tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan laju pertumbuhan tidak menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Meski demikian, perlakuan D memiliki hasil yang relatif lebih baik dengan nilai SR dan LPH berturut-turut 96,67% dan 1,01 %/hari. Kata kunci : probiotik Bacillus spp., prebiotik molase,  total bakteri dan Bacillus spp., tingkat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan harian  ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to determine the good combination of probiotic bacillus spp. and prebiotic molasses with different doses to survival rate and growth performance of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). this study has used experimental design with completely randomized design (CRD) and five treatment, i.e. Control (K), without probiotic and prebiotic; Bacillus spp. 10 ml/kg feed (A); Bacillus spp. 10 ml/Kg feed + molasses 10 v/v (B); Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg feed (C); dan Bacillus spp. 20 ml/Kg feed + molasses 10 v/v (D). The results showed variation for total bacteria and total Bacillus spp. The average of total bacteria obtained in this study ranged from 2,24x108 to 3.78x108 CFU/ml. Likewise, the total Bacillus spp. were obtained from 1.07x106 to 2.02x107 CFU/ml. While for survival rate (SR) and the growth rate (DGR) did not showed significant results. However, treatment D has a relatively better then treatment else with SR and DGR respectively 96.67% and 1.01%.day-1. Keywords : probiotic Bacillus spp., prebiotic molasses, total bacteria and Bacillus spp., survival rate, specific growth rate.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih Mitra membuat bak terpal yang berdiameter 150 cm dengan tinggi 125 cm. Metode kegiatan yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan dalam bentuk diskusi yang terarah dan disertai dengan praktek secara langsung dalam pembuatan bak terpal. Kegiatan ini melibatkan Mitra secara aktif mulai dari kegiatan persiapan alat dan bahan, pemotongan bahan, pembuatan rangka, pembentukan terpal, dan perakitan bak terpal. Melalui kegiatan tersebut, Mitra berhasil membuat satu unit bak terpal yang siap digunakan untuk budidaya ikan.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan air tawar merupakan salah satu mata pencaharian yang mendominasi masyarakat Desa Gontoran, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Para pembudidaya selain melakukan kegiatan memelihara ikan juga bermaksud mengembangkan pakan tambahan dari limbah rumah tangga yang ada di sekitar mereka. Karena menurut pembudidaya harga pakan pellet semakin mahal dan adanya masalah sampah dari rumah rumah tangga yang dibuang sembarangan pada saluran air mengganggu kegiatan budidaya. Oleh karena itu tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para pembudidaya ikan dalam membuat Maggot berbahan baku limbah rumah rumah tangga. Karena diketahui maggot dapat di manfaatkan sebagai pakan untuk budidaya ikan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah meningkatnya produksi maggot oleh pembudidaya sebagai pakan ikan.
