Abstract

The advantage of four-tier model test is that it has four levels of questions that require complex reasoning abilities from students to express the reasons for their answers to the problems given. This study aimed to develop a multiple representation test with a four-tier model to measure students’ multiple representation in electricity topics. The stages of developing this test instrument used a stage model of The Design Based Research which consists of five stages, namely developing an assessment framework, designing items, developing rubrics, conducting trials, and applying the Racsh Model analysis with the Item Response approach. Theory (IRT) program assisted Winsteps version 3.68.2. The research method used was descriptive-exploratory method to describe the results of the development and validation of four-tier model test. This test consisted to 20 items were developed based on four types of representation, namely verbal representations, diagrammatic representations (pictures), mathematical representations, and graphic representations with each indicator. The research subjects involved were 30 prospective physics students at the pilot test stage and 79 prospective physics students at the field test stage from different universities in Makassar city. The results of the development of the four-tier test model test overall items are valid with a high level of reliability (Cronbach's Alpha value = 0.80). Based on the results of expert judgment validation and testing, it can be concluded that the multiple representation test with four-tier model on electricity topic is feasible to use.

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan mitra adalah borosnya pemakaian listrik, mitra belum memperhatikan kandungan oksigen dalam budidaya, dan belum konsisten menggunakan pakan. Tujuan kegiatan yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dengan cara mengedukasi mitra tentang budidaya ikan. Selain itu, mengikutsertakan mahasiswa dengan mengenalkan mahasiswa pada kegiatan di luar kampus. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi pemberian edukasi kepada mitra tentang teknologi jet aerasi, teknis pelaksanaan budidaya dan penyakit ikan yang bisa saja muncul pada saat budidaya. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah KUB Chanos Jaya yang berjumlah 10 orang. Namun, peserta yang hadir dalam kegiatan sosialisasi berjumlah 21 orang yang terdiri dari anggota KUB Chanos Jaya, tokoh masyarakat, dan masyarakat sekitar. Sebelum memberikan materi, tim dosen mengevaluasi pemahaman awal peserta dengan pertanyaan seputar budidaya. Di akhir kegiatan sosialisasi, tim PkM mengevaluasi peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Berdasarkan jawaban peserta, hasil pre-test ada 45% peserta yang mengetahui budidaya, dan hasil post-test ada sekitar 80% peserta memahami proses budidaya setelah pemberian edukasi.Abstract: Partner problems are wasteful use of electricity, partners have not paid attention to the oxygen content in cultivation, and have not consistently used feed. The purpose of the activity is to educate partners about tilapia cultivation that is environmentally friendly and saves electricity by using jet aeration technology in tilapia cultivation. In addition, involving students by introducing students to off-campus activities. The method used is the dissemination of education to partners about jet aeration technology, technical implementation of aquaculture and fish diseases that may arise during cultivation. The partners of this activity are KUB Chanos Jaya, which consists of ten people. However, the participants who attended the socialization activity were 21 people consisting of members of KUB Chanos Jaya, community leaders, and the surrounding community. Before giving the material, the lecturer team evaluated the participants' initial understanding with questions about cultivation. At the end of the socialization activity, the PkM team evaluated the increase in participants' understanding. Based on the participants' answers, the pretest results showed that 45% of the participants knew about cultivation, and the post-test results showed that 80% of the participants understood the cultivation process after providing education.

Abstract

Abstrak: Karies dimulai sejak anak berusia dini, karena anak mulai berinteraksi dengan lingkungan makanan dan pada dasarnya anak memiliki minat pada makanan kariogenik dan dampaknya menambah masalah pada gigi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada anak usia dini cara menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar. Hal ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak usia dini untuk menjaga oral hygiene dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup anak. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di TK Aisyiyah Maccini Tengah Kota Makassar Sulawesi Selatan pada tanggal 21 Januari 2022. Adapun jumlah peserta didik yang terlibat adalah 22 orang peserta didik, dua orang guru TK, dan kepala sekolah. Penyuluhan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi menggunakan media dental model. Tahapan awal kegiatan yaitu observasi gambaran perilaku hidup besih dari peserta didik yang dinilai berada pada kategori cukup, kemudian penentuan jadwal dan persiapan perlengkapan yang dibutuhkan; tahap pelaksanaan yaitu penyuluhan cara menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar; tahap evaluasi yaitu melakukan tindakan umpan balik dan praktik menyikat gigi secara mandiri dan mahasiswa bertindak sebagai fasilitator. Hasil dari penyuluhan ini, peserta didik TK Aisyiyah Maccini Tengah mampu melaksanakan praktik menyikat gigi dengan baik dan benar serta menyikat pada area lidah secara mandiri, dengan persentasi sebelum penyuluhan sekitar 40% dan setelah penyuluhan sekitar 87% yang dilihat dari jumlah anak yang menjawab pertanyaan pemahaman Kesehatan gigi dan survei keterampilan menyikat gigi.Abstract: Cariers starts at an early age, because children begin to interact with the food environment and basically children have an interest in cariogenic foods and their effects add to dental problems. The purpose of this activity is to provide education to early childhood how to brush their teeth properly and correctly. This is carried out to improve the knowledge and skills of early childhood to maintain oral hygiene and improve the quality of life of children. This activity was carried out at Aisyiyah Maccini Kindergarten, Makassar City, South Sulawesi on January 21, 2022. The number of students involved were 22 students, two kindergarten teachers, and the school principal. This counseling was carried out using lecture and demonstration methods using dental model media. The initial stages of the activity are observing the description of clean living behavior of students who are considered to be in the sufficient category, then determining the schedule and preparing the required equipment; implementation stage, namely counseling on how to brush teeth properly and correctly; the evaluation stage is to carry out feedback actions and practice brushing teeth independently and students act as facilitators. The results of this counseling, Aisyiyah Maccini Tengah Kindergarten students were able to carry out and correct brushing practices and brush the tongue area independently, with a percentage before counseling around 40% and after counseling around 87% which was seen from the number of children who answered understanding questions. Abstract

The community partnership program, titled Tilapia fish cultivation with Bioflock technology, was carried out in Gowa Regency in the Juluatia farmer group chaired by Ms. Kasmawati, aimed at empowering farmer groups to become productive entrepreneurs. This activity has short-term programs, namely: 1) Optimizing unproductive home yards; 2) Improve the knowledge and skills of tilapia farming. This activity program is carried out for 8 (eight) months with 1 (one) The Community Partnership Program partner. The stages of the community partnership program implementation include the stage of surney preparation and site review, analysis of potential and problem partners, and implementation of PKM activities. The technology applied in this PKM activity is Bioflock technology in aquaculture minimize the use of artificial feed, as well as the efficient use of water. From the results of the implementation of this PKM produced 3 (three) units of Bioflock tilapia ponds, increasing science and technology in the community, especially in the Juluatia farmer group.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh implementasi strategi The Learning Cell (TLC) dan Active Knowledge Sharing (AKS) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan true experimental bentuk postest-only control design. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari tiga kelas VIII SMP Unismuh Makassar. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel kelas VIIIA dan VIIIB2. Kelas VIIIA menggunakan strategi The Learning Cell (TLC) dan kelas VIIIB2 menggunakan Strategi Active Knowledge Sharing (AKS). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Tes Hasil Belajar Kognitif (THBK)  dalam bentuk tes pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari level pengetahuan (C1), pemahaman (C2), penerapan (C3), analisis (C4), sintesis (C5), dan evaluasi (C6). Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah skor maksimum hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas eksperimen 1 (TLC) dan eksperimen 2 (AKS) sama yaitu 20. Skor rerata hasil belajar kognitif pada TLC yaitu 15,77 sdan skor rerata hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas AKS yaitu 16. Dari hasil uji normalitas, ditemukan data terdistribusi normal. Adapun perolehan pada uji homogenitas yaitu data memiliki varian yang sama. Pada pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai FhitungFtabel. Sehingga Ho diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara strategi pembelajaran TLC dan AKS yang terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Kata kunci: active knowledge sharing; hasil belajar kognitif; The learning cell. ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the effect of implementing The Learning Cell (TLC) and Active Knowledge Sharing (AKS) strategies on students' cognitive learning outcomes. This research is a true experimental form of posttest-only control design. The study population consisted of three class VIII SMP Unismuh Makassar. Sampling using simple random sampling, in order to obtain class VIIIA and VIIIB2 samples. Class VIIIA is taught using the Learning Cell (TLC) strategy and class VIIIB2 is taught using the Active Knowledge Sharing (AKS) strategy. The research instrument used was the Cognitive Learning Outcomes Test (THBK) which consisted of levels of knowledge (C1), understanding (C2), application (C3), analysis (C4), synthesis (C5), and evaluation (C6). Data analysis uses descriptive and inferential statistics to test the proposed hypothesis. The research results obtained were the mean score of cognitive learning outcomes in experimental class 1 (TLC) which was 15.77 and the mean score of cognitive learning outcomes in experimental class 2 (AKS) namely 16. From the results of the normality test, it was found that the data were normally distributed. The gain of the homogeneity test is that the data has the same variance. In testing the hypothesis, the value of FcountFtable is obtained. So Ho is rejected. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant influence between the implemented TLC and AKS learning strategies on students' cognitive learning outcomes. Keywords: active knowledge sharing; cognitive learning outcomes; the learning cells.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menyusun bahan ajar pada guru-guru SMA N 4 Takalar, sehingga masih kesulitan dalam menyiapkan dan menyusun bahan ajar digital yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah Pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan bahan ajar digital berbasis real life bagi guru-guru SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. Dengan tujuan yaitu (1) guru-guru di SMA Negeri 4 Takalar menghasilkan 1 bahan ajar digital berbasis real life sesuai bidang masing-masing; dan (2) guru-guru SMA Negeri 4 Takalar mampu menyusun bahan ajar digital berbasis real life. Metode pelaksanaan yang ditawarkan yaitu pendekatan partisipatori dan solusi. Partisipatori merupakan pendekatan yang melibatkan secara proaktif pihak tim pengusul dan mitra. Dengan mitra guru SMA Negeri 4 Takalar yang dihadiri oleh 18 orang guru. Sedangkan untuk pendekatan solusi digunakan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan uji greogory diperoleh nilai R 0,95 yang berarti bahan ajar yang telah disusun layak digunakan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru-guru SMA Negeri 4 Takalar mampu menyusun dan menghasilkan bahan ajar digital berbasis real life sesuai dengan bidang masing-masing.Abstract: Lack of understanding and skills in compiling teaching materials for SMA N 4 Takalar teachers, so it is still difficult to prepare and compile digital teaching materials tailored to the needs of students. The solution to overcome this problem is training and assistance in making digital teaching materials based on real life for teachers of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. With the aim that (1) teachers at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar produce 1 digital teaching material based on real life according to their respective fields; and (2) SMA Negeri 4 Takalar teachers are able to compile digital teaching materials based on real life, the implementation method offered is a participatory approach and solution. With partner teacher at SMA Negeri 4 Takalarwhich was attended by 18 teachers. Participatory is an approach that proactively involves the proposing team and partners. As for the solution approach, training and mentoring are used. The results based on the greogory test obtained an R value of 0.95 which means that the teaching materials that have been prepared are suitable for use so that it can be concluded that SMA Negeri 4 Takalar teachers are able to compile and produce real life-based digital teaching materials in accordance with their respective fields.

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah perilaku borosnya peserta didik ketika berwudhu. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah lahirnya perubahan perilaku hemat air terhadap peserta didik melalui pembiasaan berwudhu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pengabdian yaitu penyuluhan, demonstrasi dan evaluasi. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di Lab. School SMP Unismuh Makassar dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 25 peserta didik yang diakhiri dengan evaluasi berupa pembagian angket pemahaman konsep kepada peserta didik. Hasil dari pengabdian pendampingan praktik wudhu ramah lingkungan yaitu terdapat 80% peserta didik sudah dapat melaksanakan wudhu secara hemat, berati peserta didik tersebut sudah menjaga ekosistem air dengan kata lain pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh tim dosen telah memberikan sumbangsih bagi lingkungan.Abstract: The problem in Community Service (PkM) activities is the extravagant behavior of students when performing ablutions. The purpose of community service activities is to bring about changes in water-saving behavior for students through the habit of doing ablution in everyday life. The methods used in community service activities are counseling, demonstrations and evaluations. This service is carried out in the Lab. Unismuh Makassar Middle School School with a total of 25 participants which ended with an evaluation in the form of distributing questionnaires to students' understanding of the concept. The result of the dedication to accompanying environmentally friendly ablution practices is that 80% of students have been able to carry out ablution sparingly, meaning that these students have protected the water ecosystem, in other words the service carried out by the lecturer team has contributed to the environment.

Abstract

The topic of electricity is one of the topics in the Advanced Physics course which has abstract dominant characteristics. The abstract nature of electrical material has the potential to be difficult to understand and has the potential for misunderstanding by students. The four-tier test is a type of test that can be used to identify student misconceptions. The research method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive research with a survey research type. The populations of this study were all first-year prospective elementary teacher students who took the advanced physics courses as many as 30 students. The sampling technique of this study used a saturated sample whose number is the same as that of the study population. The research instrument was in the form of a four-tier test related to electricity topics, totaling 20 questions and divided into the sub-topics of electric current, electromotive force and potential difference, resistance, energy and conductivity of electric current, dc electric circuits, and Kirchhoff's Laws. The characteristics of this four-tier test consist of four levels. The first level is a choice of answers by providing five choices. The second level is the level of the respondent's confidence in the answer choices. The third level is the choice of reasons for the answer chosen by the respondent. The fourth level is the level of confidence in the choice of reasons for the selected answer. Respondents' answer patterns were grouped into three categories, namely understanding the concept, not understanding, and misconceptions. The results showed that the percentage of students in the categories of not understanding concepts, understanding concepts, and misconceptions were respectively 49.65%, 29.38% and 20.97%. Overall, it can be concluded that the dominant first grade students do not understand the concept and some experience misconceptions. The findings of this study may have implications for efforts to improve debriefing in Advanced Physics lectures in the future so as to be able to reduce misconceptions and understand student concepts

Abstract

There are no textbooks for developing physics learning tools, the learning materials are not structured, and students independently collect lecture materials. This research aims to explore the need for teaching materials, especially physics learning device development textbooks. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. This study used an incidental sample of physics education students from four university representatives who had completed an online questionnaire. The respondents were 166 people, consisting of 30 students from University A, 27 from University B, 29 from University C, and 80 from University D. The results showed that the research sample required physics learning device development textbooks. The yearly need for physics learning device development textbooks was 57.07% in 2018, 59.78% in 2019, and 60.88% in 2020. The percentage of the indicator of the need for textbooks: 47.20% for learning resources, 37.98% for textbook availability, 84.64% for teaching material students need, and 67.16% for students interest in physics learning device development. Therefore, lecturers need to develop practice-based textbooks in the physics learning device development course.

Abstract

Physics education study programs at several private universities in South Sulawesi are still limited in implementing Modern Physics practicum. The implementation of Modern Physics practicum at College A is limited to three practicum units, while College B has never held a Modern Physics practicum. This is because college B does not yet have a modern physics laboratory and practicum unit. Therefore, researchers developed modern physics practical tools. The Modern Physics practicum device is designed using Arduino Uno which is equipped with a digital practicum module. The aim of this research is to describe the stages of definition in aspects of curriculum analysis, beginning and end, and student needs. This research is research and development using the 4D-Thiagarajan model. Research data was analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that one of the important Modern Physics practicum contents according to course achievements is the Photoelectric Effect. It is hoped that the development of the Photoelectric Effects practicum equipment can become a learning medium for students and a precursor to the development of other Modern Physics practicum units at the two universities
