Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the data and information about the level of mastery of article of German in composing simple sentences and the factors that influence the mastery of German clothing in Sinjai 3 High School students in compiling simple sentences. This research is quantitative descriptive. To collect data used a written test, and a closed questionnaire. Then the data collected was analyzed using percentage techniques. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 3 Sinjai. The sample used in this study was total sampling consisting of 3 classes with 83 students. The results of the study showed that the mastery of German language clothing for Sinjai 3 High School students in compiling simple sentences was in the Less category (58.34%).

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the students' ability to read Mandarin (hanzi and pinyin) in terms of intonation, pronunciation, and fluency. The subjects of this study were 16 students of grade V SD Frater Makassar in 2020. The data analysis technique was quantitative descriptive. Quantitative analysis was obtained through observation and documentation activities. Based on the results of this study, the reading ability of the fifth grade students of SD Frater Makassar from the assessment of intonation, fluency, and pronunciation aspects, was still in the less category, which could be seen from the overall score of 1000 students with an average score. -Average 62.5 and a percentage value of 69.4%, Indonesian / Indonesian language grammar affects students in speaking Mandarin.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the increase in German vocabulary mastery. students in class XII Hotel Accommodation at SMK Santa Theresa Nangalili, West Manggarai Regency through short story media. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The subjects in this research were students of class XII Hotel Accommodation, which amount to 30 people. This research was conducted in two cycles, which cycle I and cycle II, and each cycle consisted of four stages, that’s planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. From the results of the German vocabulary mastery test, students obtained an average score of 64.93 in the first cycle and an increase in the second cycle with an average score of 80,67. The results of this research indicate that the use of short story media in learning can improve German vocabulary, as well as positive attitudes and activeness of students class XII Hotel Accommodation at SMK Santa Theresa Nangalili, West Manggarai- Nusa Tenggara Timur Regency.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the planning process, implementation and results of the application of the Dictation 听写 (Tīngxiě) method in improving the vocabulary of Mandarin for grade VII students of SMP Kalam Kudus Makassar. Data collection methods used were tests, observation and documentation. This research consists of two types, namely qualitative and quantitative. This study consisted of two cycles and each cycle there were two meetings. The results showed that the average score obtained by students in the first cycle reached 75.28% and the second cycle reached 90.42%. These results indicate that the vocabulary of the seventh grade students of SMP Kalam Kudus Makassar increased by using the Dictation Method 听写 (Tīngxiě).

Abstract

Abstract. This research investigates Indonesian students' attitudes in EFL classrooms where bilingual focused curriculum is used to teach English to Indonesian EFL students. This study utilized subjective methodology as a fundamental structure of study with a contextual analysis technique. The subject of this investigation were fifty students of Indonesian EFL classroom. The data from poll were examined upheld Likert scale to explore understudies' demeanor and semi-organized meeting to find out the advantages of instructor's bilingual based guidance in educating English. This research demonstrates that understudies have a positive attitude about the instructor's bilingual language work as a language instruction in their English classroom; for workforce students studying English, there are six benefits to the instructor's bilingual language use, including finding it easy to understand what the educator explains in English exercise, feeling comfortable through the classification, and being simple to get a grip on what the educator clarify in English exercise. The results could, in theory, contribute significantly to the development of lone classroom language guidance, which may be used by a teacher in an English learning study hall, especially for showing understudies with a low level of English competence and where English is spoken as a foreign language (EFL). Keywords: Bilingual, Attitude, Teaching English, EFL classroom
