Abstract

In the midst of increasing moral challenges faced by children today, early Islamic education plays a critical role in character development. This study aims to describe the role of the Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPA) Al-Ikhlas in shaping children's character in Mojo Wetan Village, Sragen, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in this process. The formation of a strong and noble character is the main goal of early Islamic education. This study uses a phenomenological approach through field research methods, utilizing data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included students, ustadz, and parents or guardians. The results show that TPA Al-Ikhlas not only functions as a center for learning the Quran, but also as an institution for character formation through the instilling of praiseworthy morals, routine religious activities, fostering daily manners, and role models. Supporting factors include the religious environment and active parental involvement, while inhibiting factors include the lack of role models at home and the negative influence of technology. This study concludes that collaboration between TPA, families, and the wider community is crucial in building a generation of Muslims with strong character and contributing positively to their environment.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces various challenges in the digital era, ranging from limited infrastructure and access to technology to low teacher competence and doubts about the suitability of digital content with Islamic values. This article aims to identify the main problems in the implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based PAI learning and formulate practical strategies to overcome them. The method used is a literature review of various empirical studies and current theories on the use of ICT in PAI, complete with case examples of implementation in various Islamic educational institutions. The results of the study indicate six main obstacles: (1) uneven accessibility and ICT infrastructure, (2) limited teacher ability to utilize technology, (3) concerns about the negative impact on religious values, (4) challenges in replicating digital religious experiences, (5) students' digital literacy gaps, and (6) inadequate evaluation of the impact of ICT integration. To overcome this, recommended strategies include developing supportive policies, ongoing training for teachers, utilizing interactive platforms and media, curating quality digital content, implementing a blended learning model, and collaboration between schools, parents, and stakeholders. This article concludes that ICT integration in PAI can improve the effectiveness and accessibility of learning as long as it is supported by commitment, resources, and a clear policy framework.

Abstract

Teachers of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are essential to students' practical contributions because they help them develop moral character by imparting Islamic values. This entails setting a good example, encouraging moral consciousness, and inspiring students to absorb and carry out these principles on a regular basis. In addition to helping students build strong relationships with Allah SWT and others, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers who have a thorough understanding of character education can also help students develop into people who are honest, fair, responsible, empathetic, and honest. Descriptive qualitative methodology was employed, and a literature study was used to gather data. According to the study's analysis, pupils' development of noble character is greatly aided by their perception of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers as role models. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instructors might have a thorough understanding of Islamic religious concepts and moral principles, which are essential for cultivating noble character, thanks to insight into character education. Teachers of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) should keep refining their character education through professional communities, reading, and training.

Abstract

The wave of resistance continues to color Indonesia's history as the nation has never fully resolved fundamental life issues such as justice, welfare, and prosperity. Awareness and societal values emerge as responses to prolonged social injustice. Therefore, any form of movement or action taken by communities against forest authorities must be understood within the context of social injustice. The massive land occupation by the Kramat Sukoharjo community is a form of resistance against state power during a crisis. This study employs a qualitative approach to comprehend the complex experiences of forest land managers in Kramat Sukoharjo Village, Tanggul District, Jember. The approach focuses on managing philosophical and theoretical meanings and achieving an objective understanding of the values embedded in the research subject. Gelombang perlawanan terus mewarnai sejarah Indonesia karena negara ini belum sepenuhnya menyelesaikan masalah fundamental kehidupan, seperti keadilan, kesejahteraan, dan kemakmuran. Kesadaran dan nilai-nilai masyarakat muncul sebagai respons terhadap ketidakadilan sosial yang berlangsung lama. Oleh karena itu, setiap bentuk gerakan dan aksi yang dilakukan masyarakat terhadap otoritas hutan harus dipahami dalam konteks ketidakadilan sosial. Penguasaan lahan secara masif oleh masyarakat Kramat Sukoharjo merupakan bentuk perlawanan terhadap kekuasaan negara yang sedang dalam krisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memahami pengalaman kompleks masyarakat pengelola lahan hutan di Desa Kramat Sukoharjo, Kecamatan Tanggul, Jember. Pendekatan ini berfokus pada upaya mengelola makna filosofis dan teoretis serta mencapai pemahaman objektif tentang nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam objek penelitian.

Abstract

This study begins by developing a paradigm for managing Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) toward systematic, continuous, dynamic, and comprehensive educational thinking and direction. Systematic means that the educational direction is structured in stages of achievement, organized within a well-planned framework and evaluation monitoring. Continuous means that the educational direction is integrated with various evolving sciences without limiting itself to individualistic religious knowledge but also encompassing socially oriented religious knowledge. Dynamic means that the educational direction is more inclusive, open, and constantly evolving, not confined to a single school of thought but capable of exploring and developing existing schools of thought, as it is not an absolute, uncriticizable science. Comprehensive means that the educational direction is further developed in discussing the progress of knowledge, as the source of knowledge is one, namely the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, which are then categorized into various disciplines for ease of discussion, and there is no concept of halal or haram in knowledge, as all knowledge ultimately leads to the glorification of the Creator, Allah Swt. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengembangkan paradigma pengelolaan pesantren menuju pemikiran dan arah pendidikan yang sistematis, berkesinambungan, dinamis, dan komprehensif. Sistematis artinya arah pendidikan lebih disusun dalam tahapan-tahapan pencapaian yang tersusun dalam satu perencanaan dan monitoring evaluasi yang baik. Berkesinambungan artinya, arah pendidikan dipadukan dengan berbagai perkembangan keilmuan yang terus berkembang tanpa membatasi diri pada satu keilmuan agama yang sifatnya individualistik, namun juga pada keilmuan agama yang sifatnya sosial. Dinamis artinya, arah pendidikan lebih inklusif, terbuka, dan terus bergerak, tidak terjebak pada satu pemikiran mazhab saja, namun dapat menclaah dan mengembangkan pemikiran mazhab yang sudah ada sebab ia bukanlah ilmu harga mati yang tidak dapat dikritik. Komprehensif artinya arah pendidikan lebih dikembangkan pada pembahasan perkembangan ilmu sebab pada dasarnya sumber ilmu itu satu, yakni al-Qur’an dan Sunnah Rasul, yang kemudian untuk memudahkan pembahasan dikelompokkan dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu tersendiri dan tidak ada halal dan haram dalam ilmu sebab pada dasarnya semua ilmu muaranya menuju pada pengagungan sang Khalik, Allah Swt.

Abstract

Culinary MSMEs in Cilegon City play a crucial role in the regional economy, but the low digital skills and digital knowledge of business actors pose a challenge in today's technological developments. This study aims to determine the extent of influence of digital skills and digital knowledge on business actor performance, with entrepreneurial spirit as a mediating variable. The research method used is quantitative with a causal approach. The study population consisted of 3,681 business actors, with a sample of 120 respondents taken using the technique. cluster area sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5 and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study indicate that digital skills and entrepreneurial spirit have a direct positive and significant effect on performance. Digital knowledge does not have a significant direct effect on performance. Digital skills do not have a significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit), but digital knowledge has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurial spirit does not mediate the relationship between digital skills and performance, but mediates the relationship between digital knowledge and performance. In conclusion, improving digital skills and digital knowledge accompanied by strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit can be an effective strategy to boost the performance of micro-entrepreneurs in the culinary sector in Cilegon City.

Abstract

Today, the religious expression of the urban community looks passionate. This religious passion can be seen in worship manifested in caring for others, charity (infaq, sadaqah), and a shar'i lifestyle in the public sphere. However, on the other hand, this new enthusiasm for religion has created a new awareness of religion. This article investigates the phenomenon of passionate religion in Lumajang and Jember East Java using psycho-social studies with phenomenological interpretation analysis. The result is that the new religious passion is determined by religious knowledge, practice, and experience, which are constructed gradually over time. This awareness is then dynamically reflected and embodied in a pluralistic social life. This passionate religious expression has complex psycho-social factors in Muslim society due to different social interactions, individually and in groups. This phenomenon, firstly, is triggered by an understanding of religion that is more on the aspect of theology (spiritual aspects) than a hard-and-fast understanding of religion (the formal aspect of fiqh and sharia). Second, the people are disappointed with religious figures and institutions that only teach religious doctrines, not values and substance. Third, the social community and religious education do not encourage inclusive, reflective, and critical views on social issues.

Abstract

This research reflects an effort to explain the implementation of the Comprehensive Guidance program in shaping students' characters at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK (Special Program) Kartasura Sukoharjo. The purpose of this research is to reveal details about the implementation of the Comprehensive Guidance program in shaping students' characters and to identify factors that support and hinder the implementation of the program in character formation. Data collection methods used involved observation and interviews, while data processing was done using a qualitative approach. This approach was chosen to analyze data derived from observations and interviews. The results of this research indicate that the Comprehensive Guidance Program consists of five types of guidance: academic, health, social, spiritual, and long-live guidance. Supporting factors in the implementation of this program include young, energetic teachers who are enthusiastic about guiding children, as well as support from parents. However, there are some inhibiting factors, such as not all teachers having the skills to guide children and the fact that character formation cannot be achieved in a short period.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya indikasi perilaku peserta didik yang memperlihatkan kemunduran moral serta timbul tindak pelanggaran di  SMA IT Al Huda Wonogiri. Dari hal tersebut Sekolah memiliki program-program yang membangun nilai-nilai kedisiplinan dan pembiasaan perilaku yang baik, seperti pembiasaan bangun pagi, shalat berjamaah, tadarus Al-Quran, membersihkan lingkungan dan kegiatan lainnya yang memuat nilai pembentukan moral peserta didik. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk : (1) Untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan moral di Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu Al Huda Wonogiri dalam pembentukan moral peserta didik. (2) Untuk mengetahui hambatan dan solusi implementasi pendidikan moral dalam membina perilaku siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu Al Huda Wonogiri.  Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian lapangan atau field research menggunakan pendekatan penelitian psikologis. Hasil penelitian bahwa implementasi pendidikan moral dalam membina perilaku siswa dapat dilakukan melalui intrakurikuler sekolah dan kegiatan belajar mengajar pendidikan agama Islam. SMA IT Al Huda Wonogiri menggunakan beberapa pendekatan untuk menerapkan pendidikan moral yaitu indoktrinasi, klarifikasi nilai, keteladanan, serta pembiasaan dalam perilaku. Abstract

The use of gadgets among students is increasing with technological advancements. This study aims to analyze students' gadget usage habits at MAN 1 Surakarta, the factors influencing their usage, and the school's and parents' supervision efforts. The findings show that students frequently use gadgets outside of class hours, such as during breaks, before teachers enter the classroom, and after lessons are completed. However, students remain disciplined during teaching and learning activities due to strict rules. If a student uses a gadget during lessons, the device is confiscated and the parents are called to the school. School policy also influences Gadget use, where only regular class students are allowed to bring gadgets. In contrast, PK and Boarding School students are only permitted to bring laptops for learning purposes. The factors influencing this habit are divided into external factors, such as the school environment, peer influence, and parental supervision, and internal factors, such as motivation, the need for entertainment, and student discipline. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that students fall into the category of mild addiction, as they do not use gadgets excessively and still comply with school rules. Therefore, consistent supervision from teachers and parents is crucial to guide students in using gadgets wisely to balance education, worship, and other activities. This research highlights the importance of collaboration between teachers especially Akidah Akhlak teachers and parents, along with counselling staff, in fostering student digital awareness. Additionally, schools are encouraged to develop adaptive and educational gadget usage policies so that technology can be utilized for learning and strengthening students' religious character.
