Abstract

The lack of use of learning media, especially in thematic learning, causes students to experience difficulties in learning. The need for learning media development in thematic learning to facilitate students in learning. This study aims to develop Pop-Up Book media and find the location and practicality of Pop-Up Book learning media based on integrative thematic learning on Theme 8 Safety at Home and Travel. This type of research is development. The research method used is the ADDIE model. This study consisted of expert validators of learning media, content expert validators, class teachers, and students. The data collection instruments used in this study were questionnaires and expert judgment. The data used in this study is a feasibility analysis and practicality analysis. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study results indicate that this learning media has gone through systematic stages of development research. Based on the validation of material experts, media experts, practitioners, and students, the Pop-Up Book's quality was very good. The Pop-Up Book learning media development is feasible, practical, and attractive to be used as a learning medium in Class 2 thematic learning. The Pop-Up Book media can facilitate students in learning so that it impacts increasing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the computational thinking skills of elementary school students. This research approach uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study involved 70 fifth grade students at an elementary school in Malang City. The research instruments were in the form of observation sheets and tests, the data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the analysis of critical and computational thinking of elementary school students showed that computational thinking skills were still lacking, 35.4% and 54% for critical thinking. The recommendation from the research results is to make it a habit for elementary school students to continue practicing high-level thinking skills through the learning process and the use of learning devices based on high-level thinking skills.

Abstract

The waste of green mussel shells has potential as an alternative source of halal gelatin; however, the efficiency of production and the physicochemical characteristics of the resulting gelatin remain underexplored. This study aims to examine the production process, characteristics, and quality of gelatin extracted from green mussel shells using acetic acid (0.75 M) over 3, 4, and 5 days. The study analyzed yield, moisture content, ash content, gel strength, and the physical characteristics of gelatin. The results indicate that a 4-day extraction duration produced an optimal yield of 1.57%, with low moisture and ash content and a gel strength of 340 gForce. All parameters met SNI standards, confirming the suitability of this gelatin for food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications. These findings suggest that green mussel shells can be sustainably utilized to produce high-quality halal gelatin. The study implies opportunities for diversifying halal gelatin sources while supporting environmentally friendly waste management. Future research is encouraged to optimize the production process, expand product applications, and evaluate the environmental impacts of utilizing this waste.

Abstract

Competition in the cement industry is increasing with the opening of opportunities for foreign cement industries to take part in the country. This paper aims to re-examine the effect of sharing and leadership skills on work culture. The next research aims to know the effect of knowledge sharing and leadership style on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT. Semen Bosowa, which is located in Banyuwangi Regency. The number of employees owned by PT. Semen Bosowa, located in Banyuwangi, has 94 employees, all used as research samples (saturated samples). Descriptive analysis is used to describe respondents and variables in the study. The study used test tools to test the validity of research data and the reliability of research data to measure the questionnaire. PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis with the Smart PLS version 3 application was used to test the research hypotheses of 5 (five) direct hypotheses and two indirect hypotheses. The research results after the analysis is that knowledge sharing in PT. Semen Bosowa has no impact on the work culture of the employees. The leadership style in the organization has a positive impact on the work culture in the PT. Bosowa Banyuwangi. Knowledge sharing of employees of PT. Semen Bosowa turned out to be able to improve employee performance. The leadership style that exists at PT. Bosowa Banyuwangi has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The next result is the work culture of the employees of PT. Bosowa Banyuwangi has no effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, studi dilakukan untuk memahami penggunaan aplikasi kesehatan dan kebugaran yang berkelanjutan: menggabungkan technology acceptance model (TAM) dengan investment model (IM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis masing-masing variabel yaitu pengaruh kemudahan penggunaan aplikasi terhadap kegunaan, kepuasan, ukuran investasi, kualitas alternatif, komitmen, dan niat berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 166 responden dan data diolah dengan menggunakan metode PLS-SEM. Hasil penelitiannya secara detail telah dipaparkan pada artikel ini.

Abstract

Abstract: The observations indicate that the level of reading comprehension grade students of SDN 01 Putat Kidul Gondanglegi District Malang Regency still low. This study aimed to describe the use of newspapers in improving students’ reading comprehension class V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Gondanglegi and describing the use of learning resources newspapers in improving students’ reading comprehension class V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Gondanglegi. This type of research is a classroom action research, while the data analysis in this study uses three ways, namely, data reduction, exposure data, and inference data. Subjects were students of class V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Gondanglegi District Malang Regency with the number of 23 students. The results showed that students’ reading comprehension with the intensity of use of the newspaper as a learning resource in class V SDN Putat Kidul Gondanglegi District 01 has increased from an average value of 79 in the first cycle and 87 in the second cycle. Completeness of classical study in the first cycle is 70% and at the end of the second cycle was 100%. Keywords: reading comprehension ability, intensity of use of newspapers Abstrak: Hasil observasi menunujukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Kecamatan Gondanglegi Kabupaten Malang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penggunaan surat kabar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Gondanglegi dan mendiskripsikan penggunaan sumber belajar surat kabar dalam meningkatkan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Gondanglegi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sedangkan Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga cara, yaitu reduksi data, paparan data, dan penyimpulan data. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Kecamatan Gondanglegi Kabupaten Malang dengan jumlah 23 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dengan intensitas menggunakan surat kabar sebagai sumber belajar di kelas V SDN Putat Kidul 01 Kecamatan Gondanglegi mengalami peningkatan dari nilai rata-rata 79 pada siklus I dan 87 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada siklus I adalah 70 % dan pada akhir siklus II adalah 100%. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan membaca pemahaman, intensitas penggunaan surat kabar

Abstract

The problem of plastic waste in Druju Hamlet, Ngawen District, Klaten Regency, is caused by low public awareness and lack of waste management facilities. This program aims to increase public awareness and skills in plastic waste management through the ecobrick method, which is the compaction of plastic into bottles as an environmentally friendly construction material. Activities include socialization, waste collection and cleaning, making ecobricks, and implementation in the form of an installation of the inscription "HATINYA PKK". The results show that 400 ecobrick bottles have been successfully produced, with increasing community participation every week. The door-to-door method in collecting waste and the involvement of PKK women are the main factors in the success of this program. The obstacles faced are the limited amount of plastic waste collected and the need for technical assistance in making standard ecobricks. This program has the potential to be further developed through advanced training, ecobrick-based product development, and community-based waste management policy advocacy

Abstract

Penulisan karya tulis ilmiah pada dasarnya bertujuan membangkitkan rasa keingintahuan terhadap fenomena alam yang berhubungan dengan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Penulisan karya tulis ilmiah juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap fenomena alam dan meningkatkan kreativitas yang menumbuhkan kemampuan berkreasi dan daya kritis. Salah satu subkompetensi guru adalah menguasai substansi keilmuan terkait bidang studi dan menguasai struktur dan metode keilmuan. Indikator subkompetensi ini adalah menguasai langkah-langkah penelitian, pengembangan artikel, dan publikasi. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah membantu guru meningkatkan professionalisme melalui penguasaan subkompetensi tersebut. Pengabdian dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Talangsuko I Kecamatan Turen dengan peserta 17 guru dari Sekolah Dasar sekitar. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini dimulai dari perencanaan/ persiapan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru di Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Turen telah memahami cara menulis artikel yang diambil dari hasil penelitian ilmiah dan publikasi pada jurnal nasional yang terakreditasi atau tidak terakreditasi.

Abstract

Deteksi berita palsu dalam bahasa Indonesia masih menjadi tantangan dalam pemrosesan bahasa alami (NLP). Penelitian ini membandingkan enam metode: RoBERTa, BERT, IndoBERT, SVM, LSTM, dan CNN dalam mengidentifikasi berita palsu. Dataset yang digunakan telah melalui proses pembersihan dan tokenisasi sebelum diterapkan pada masing-masing model. Penelitian ini memberikan analisis komprehensif terhadap keunggulan model Transformer dibandingkan dengan metode klasik seperti SVM, CNN, dan LSTM. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menegaskan bahwa model yang dilatih khusus untuk bahasa Indonesia, seperti IndoBERT, memiliki performa lebih baik dibandingkan BERT standar. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa model berbasis Transformer memiliki performa terbaik, dengan RoBERTa sebagai model paling akurat. Temuan ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan sistem deteksi berita palsu yang lebih akurat dan efisien dalam bahasa Indonesia. Akurasi yang diperoleh dari masing-masing model adalah sebagai berikut: RoBERTa (99,5%), IndoBERT (98,6%), BERT (98,2%), SVM (95,9%), CNN (93,9%), dan LSTM (92,3%).

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges and opportunities faced by non-native students in Indonesia in learning Arabic. With a focus on the context of higher education, this study uses a qualitative approach to analyze students' experiences in facing obstacles that may arise during the Arabic learning process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations, enabling a deep understanding of the dynamics of Arabic language learning among non-native students. The results of this study provide an overview of challenges such as vocabulary acquisition, speech, and language environment, as well as differences in language structure. Meanwhile, it also identifies opportunities such as the development of cross-cultural communication skills and the strengthening of academic skills. The implications of these findings could provide a foundation for the development of more effective curriculum and learning strategies to support non-native students in overcoming challenges and taking advantage of opportunities in Arabic language learning.
