Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a practical manual for the Plant Physiology I course. This research is included in development research. The design used in this research uses a 4D model which was adapted into a 3P model (Definition, Design and Development). The research instruments used were validation sheets and readability test sheets. This development research uses two expert validators, namely content/material experts and teaching materials experts as well as readability tests by students. Data collection techniques use validation techniques and readability tests. The data analysis technique used is the percentage technique. The research results showed that the value of the content/material expert validator was an average of 3.15, the teaching material expert validator was an average of 3.11, and the readability test by 20 students was an average of 3.08. Thus, teaching materials in the form of a Plant Physiology I practical manual are suitable for use without revision.

Abstract

This study is motivated by teachers' existence in elementary schools (ES), especially in grades IV, V, and VI, because there are still many who use traditional teaching styles. This makes it difficult for students to understand the learning material, and students are less independent in the learning process. A significant influence between teacher teaching styles that are interactional on the independent character of elementary school students. This research uses quantitative methods with data analysis; validity test, reliability test, normality test, simple linear regression test. In contrast, the sample in this study was selected randomly, namely students in grades IV, V, and VI at ES at SDN Ketapanrame 1 Trawas. The data analysis results showed a significant influence between the interactional teaching style of the teacher on the independent character of elementary school students as evidenced by the t-test results of 5.386 with a significant level of .000. The interactional teaching style affected the independent character of students.

Abstract

In the process of recording attendance at the company, there are many ways that can be used, such as using an attendance card, employee ID (Identity) and fingerprints. However, the existing methods still have the potential for fraud to occur, such as entrusting attendance cards or ID cards to other co-workers, manipulating time on attendance cards, doubling fingerprints etc., so we need another more precise method such as face recognition. This method was chosen because it is considered the most appropriate and very effective than other methods. This study builds a presence system using Raspberry Pi as an image processing controller, a camera to capture facial images and an ultrasonic sensor to detect the presence or absence of people, then the system will perform face recognition using Viola Jones algorithm, followed by validation where the input data will be matched with the data contained in the database and the resulting output in the form of attendance records used for recapitulation. After testing, accurate detection results were obtained when taking the right employee face data that with perpendicular position to the camera so that attendance can be recorded

Abstract

Goats are ruminants that can take advantage of low-quality forage for basic needs and production. Goat can be used as an alternative to consuming processed beef products. One of the processed beef products is salami. Salami is one of the processed meats made from a mixture of meat and fat that is made through a fermentation process. The process of processing salami involves fermentation. This fermentation uses a starter made from lactic acid bacteria. The bacteria usually used in making salami are lactic acid bacteria, namely Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophilus, and Lactobacillus acidophilus. Salami usually uses a mixture of pork and beef as a base, but it is possible to make it from other livestock meat, for example, Goats. Salami from pork is not allowed for Islamic consumers because it is forbidden according to Islamic religion, while salami from beef has a costly price compared to the price of goat meat.

Abstract

his research aims to explore the image of the children as it is constructed by the educational institution particularly by the teachers in the novel Matilda. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with applies the theory of imagology by Milan Kundera and the image of the child by Loris Malaguzzi. This research used the close textual analysis method to describe and analyze the meaning, structure, and function contained in the text. The result of this research shows that the different images of the children constructed by two teacher characters of the novel. The image of the children constructed by Miss Honey is that the children are innocent, potential, and dependent. While the image of the children constructed by Mrs. Trunchbull is that children are a source of trouble, disgusting, disturbing, and should not exist in the world. Based on the image of the children constructed by Miss Honey and Mrs. Trunchbull, these two teacher figures show different behaviors when they interact with children. Miss Honey tends to pay special attention to children, teach them new things in a fun way, and be open to children. While Mrs. Trunchbull shows abusive behavior in children such as shouting, cursing, and giving harsh punishments to children. Therefore, based on the results of research conducted, it can be concluded that the image of children is not always the same in the eyes of everyone and the image they construct in children affects the way they treat children.

Abstract

Toksoplasmosis adalah infeksi yang disebabkan oleh parasit Toxoplasma gondii, yang dapat menginfeksi hampir semua mamalia dan burung. Sekitar 30% - 65% dari populasi dunia adalah diperkirakan mengalami infeksi Toxoplasma kronis dengan insidensi yang bervariasi. Pada penelitian antibody toksoplasma di Tahiti dan Guatemala, didapatkan infeksi hampir 100%. Setelah terinfeksi, Toxoplasma gondii memasuki tubuh manusia dan menyebar ke berbagai organ, termasuk otak dan mata. Edukasi Masyarakat Lokakarya dan Seminar Adakan sesi edukasi tentang toksoplasmosis untuk siswa SMK Bina Satria, Presentasi dan Diskusi. Ajarkan cara yang benar dan aman untuk membersihkan kotoran kucing guna menghindari kontaminasi oosista Toxoplasma gondii. Penyuluhan Kesehatan, Penggunaan Media Sosial dan Teknologi, Sebarkan informasi melalui platform media sosial atau aplikasi berbasis komunitas yang dapat diakses oleh masyarakat luas, Penyebaran Materi Edukasi. Monitoring Proses Kegiatan, Evaluasi Keberhasilan, Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya untuk memberikan informasi yang komprehensif mengenai toksoplasmosis kepada Siswa SMK Bina Satria Medan melalui berbagai kegiatan edukasi, seperti penyuluhan, distribusi materi informasi, serta pelatihan pencegahan yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif student teams achievement divisions (STAD) dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan interpersonal pada siswa. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah classroom action research dengan mendeskripsikan kegiatan yang terjadi di dalam kelas. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Tanjungrujo 4 Kota Malang dengan jumlah 30 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan interpersonal siswa kelas IV SDN Tanjungrejo 4 Kota Malang dapat ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran STAD. Pembelajaran dengan penggunaan model STAD ini menggunakan kelompok kecil sehingga siswa dapat bekerja sama untuk memaksimalkan pembelajarannya sendiri dan orang lain, sehingga dapat mendorong siswa untuk meningkatkan kepekaan sosial, pemahaman sosial, dan komunikasi sosial bisa maksimal.Kata kunci: kecerdasan interpersonal, pembelajaran kooperatifAbstract: This study aims to describe the application of cooperative learning models student teams achievement divisions (STAD) in improving students' interpersonal intelligence. The approach taken in this research is classroom action research by describing what activities happens in the classroom. The subjects in this study are the fourth grade students SDN Tanjungrejo IV Malang with 30 people. The results showed that interpersonal intelligence of fourth grade students of SDN Tanjungrejo IV Malang can be improved through this STAD model. This learning STAD model uses with small groups so that students can work together to maximize their own learning and others, so as to encourage students to increase social sensitivity, social understanding, and social communication can be maximized.Keywords: interpersonal intelligence, cooperative learning

Abstract

This study aims to elucidate the meaning of the poem "Qasidatu al-Ardi" by Mahmoud Darwish through the lens of Stephen Greenblatt's new historicism perspective. This research is categorized as descriptive qualitative research. The primary data sources for this study include the poem "Qasidatu al-Ardi" and relevant non-literary texts, which comprise books and associated websites. The data collection technique employed in this study involves a reading approach that applies Greenblatt's new historicism perspective, emphasizing the simultaneous analysis of literary and non-literary texts to explore their interrelationship. The analysis techniques utilized include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study reveals that the depiction of the Palestinian people's struggle in the poem "Qasidatu al-Ardi" is intricately linked to the historical context of Land Day in 1976 in Galilee. Furthermore, the poem presents the condition of the Palestinian people through themes of Palestinian nationalism, genocide in the Palestinian territories, and the aspirations of the Palestinian populace. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna puisi “Qasidatu al-Ardi” karya Mahmoud Darwish dengan berdasar new historicism perspektif Stephen Greenblatt. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitati deskriptif. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini adalah puisi “Qasidatu al-Ardi” karya Mahmoud Darwish, dan teks non-sastra berupa buku dan website yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca cata dengan menerapkan pendekatan new historicism perspektif Stephen Greenblatt. Pendekatan ini menekankan pada pembacaan secara bersamaan antara teks sastra dengan teks non-sastra untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara keduanya. Adapun teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengenai  bentuk perjuangan rakyat Palestina dalam puisi “Qasidatu al-Ardi” menunjukkan bahwa: penciptaan puisi “Qasidatu al-Ardi” berkaitan erat dengan latar belakang sejarah Land Day tahun 1976 di Galilea; dan kondisi rakyat Palestina dalam puisi ini ditunjukkan melalui adanya bentuk nasionalisme rakyat Palestina, genosida di wilayah Palestina, dan harapan rakyat Palestina.

Abstract

The difference in rights and freedoms between women and men is a form of injustice or discrimination, as happened in Arab society. This was formed due to cultural factors and ancient thinking of the community, which was able to hinder the progress or emancipation of women until now. The injustice is in the form of women's limitations in family and political law. From these problems, the majority of women and activists who support women, try to increase emancipation and fight for women's rights again. From this statement, the researcher aims to reveal the intention of a news article entitled سؤال تحرر المرأة المُتَجَدِّد by Kamal Abdullatif on the online magazine website Al-Arabi. The analysis was carried out using a descriptive qualitative method with a read-note data collection technique. Meanwhile, the approach used in this study is Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis, which provides an understanding of the position of the subjects and the involvement of the reader in the discourse. The results of the analysis show that there is an interest from the author of the article, Kamal Abdullatif, to invite readers to participate in supporting women's emancipation. This research is expected to be the basis for further research to examine similar objects and issues more deeply, so that it can enrich the discourse and strengthen efforts in upholding gender equality.
