Abstract

Seaweed Kaphapicus alvarezii is very popular in cultivation because it has high economic value and has quite large development potential in Ruguk Village, Ketapang District, South Lampung Regency. Water quality is a factor that influences the growth of seaweed, including the Kaphapicus alvarezii type, both physical and chemical water quality. This research aims to determine the condition of water quality in the seaweed cultivation area of Ruguk Village, Ketapang District, South Lampung Regency, meets the optimal living conditions for cultivating Kaphapicus alvarezii seaweed. This research is a type of descriptive research with a survey method carried out by taking water samples at seaweed cultivation locations and measuring the increase in seaweed growth every week for 4 weeks. The parameters observed in this research were the physical and chemical parameters of the water quality of the seaweed rearing media at the research location which consisted of temperature, brightness, current, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), and phosphate and relative growth of the seaweed. Based on the results of observations during the research, it can be concluded that the water quality conditions, both physical and chemical water quality in the seaweed cultivation area in Ruguk Village, Ketapang District, South Lampung Regency, are in accordance with the standard quality requirements for the growth of Kaphapicus alvarezii seaweed, namely temperature 29.1-30.2⁰C, brightness 0,8-1.5 m, current strength 0.20-0.37m/sec, depth 0.8–1.5 m, pH 7.5-8.17, salinity 26-30 ppt, DO of 4.6-7.2 ppm, nitrate 0.2-0.92 mg/L and phosphate of 0.258-0.711 mg /L

Abstract

Ikan budidaya air tawar yang umum di Indonesia adalah ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Salah satu bahan alternatif pembuatan tepung ikan yaitu dengan menggunakan ikan sapu-sapu (Hypostomus plecostomus). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung ikan sapu-sapu pada pakan komersial terhadap efektivitas pertumbuhan ikan nila nirwana III dan membandingkan perbedaan kandungan pakan ikan komersial dengan pakan campuran alternatif tepung ikan sapu-sapu terhadap pertumbuhan ikan nila nirwana III. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rancangan acak kelompok yang dilakukan dengan 5 perlakuan. Perlakuan A yaitu penambahan tepung ikan sapu-sapu 10%, perlakuan B tepung ikan sapu-sapu 20%, perlakuan C tepung ikan sapu-sapu 30%, perlakuan D tepung ikan sapu-sapu 40%, dan kontrol dengan penambahan tepung ikan sapu-sapu 0%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efektifitas dari pemberian pakan terhadap panjang bepengaruh nyata pada konsentrasi 20% penambahan pakan dengan rata-rata panjang 7.39 cm dan pada bobot menunjukkan hasil terbaik pada konsentrasi 30% dengan rata-rata sebesar 9g.

Abstract

The blood cockle (Anadara antiquata) is an economically valuable marine species that depends on suitable water quality conditions in its habitat. This study aims to analyze water quality parameters that potentially trigger eutrophication in the habitat of the blood cockle in the coastal waters of Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The study was conducted at three key harvesting sites—Teluk Hurun, Teluk Cikunyinyi, and Teluk Ratai—with sampling carried out four times during September–October 2024. The measured parameters included temperature, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), transparency, depth, nitrite, ammonia, phosphate, and total organic matter (TOM). The results showed that several chemical parameters, such as nitrite (up to 0.11 mg/L), phosphate (up to 0.63 mg/L), and TOM (up to 39.14 mg/L), exceeded marine water quality standards based on Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. The low N/P ratio (<1) at all sites indicates a high potential for eutrophication, with Teluk Ratai identified as the most critical site. These findings highlight the importance of continuous water quality monitoring to support the sustainability of blood cockle habitats and coastal ecosystems.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kualitas air budidaya tambak udang yang diintegrasikan dengan budidaya rumput laut di Desa Ruguk, Kecamatan Ketapang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis parameter kualitas air seperti nitrat, Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Total Organik Meter (TOM), fosfat, Total Amonia Nitrogen (TAN), dan alkalinitas pada tambak udang yang terintegrasi dengan rumput laut. Metode penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling di empat stasiun yang berbeda, meliputi kolam Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL), muara sungai setelah IPAL, area budidaya rumput laut, dan tandon air. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan tiga kali selama periode budidaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rumput laut berperan dalam memperbaiki kualitas air dengan menyerap bahan organik, nitrogen, dan fosfor dari limbah budidaya udang. Integrasi budidaya udang dan rumput laut memberikan hasil yang positif terhadap kualitas air dan keberlanjutan lingkungan perairan.

Abstract

Budidaya udang menghasilkan limbah organik sekiranya 48 – 70 kg dengan 30% berasal dari sisa pakan feses khususnya pada sistem budidaya super-intensif. Limbah tersebut dapat memberikan efek serius baik pada lingkungan perairan laut hingga keberlangsungan budidaya. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi beban limbah yakni dengan pengadaan IPAL dan pemanfaatan teknologi fitoremediasi dengan Gracilaria sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas IPAL serta pemanfaatan Gracilaria sp. sebagai fitoremediator IPAL dan pertumbuhannya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober- November 2024 pada kolam sedimentasi IPAL tambak Ruguk secara insitu dengan penanaman Gracilaria sp. pada IPAL 2 dan analisis parameter kimia air dilakukan secara exsitu di laboratorium. Biomassa Gracilaria sp. didapatkan sebanyak 40.787 kg dengan laju pertumbuhan spesifik 376,75%. Konsentrasi rata-rata dari parameter utama kualitas air pada IPAL 1 dan 2 antara lain nitrat (1,03 mg/L dan 1,04 mg/L), fosfat (0,35 mg/L dan 0,28 mg/L), TAN (0,78 mg/L dan 0,25 mg/L), TOM (35,59 mg/L dan 35, 32 mg/L), TSS (175 mg/L dan 151,75 mg/L), dan alkalinitas (303 mg/L dan 251 mg/L). Nilai rata-rata efektivitas total pemanfaatan Gracilaria sp. sebagai agen fitoremediator sebesar 12%.

Abstract

Banjar Agung Udik village is an area in Pugung Sub-District, Tanggamus Regency, which is located close to Mount Tanggamus. This activity aims to provide training on making biopore infiltration holes in an effort to conserve groundwater in the yard, with the aim of increasing the absorption of rainwater into the soil. This training is expected to reduce the risk of flooding due to rainwater and increase the amount of clean water reserves in the soil. This activity was held on August 6, 2024, at the Banjar Agung Udik village hall, with participants from various age groups, both men and women. The activity began with problem analysis through field surveys, followed by the preparation of an activity plan, training implementation, and ended with socialization and guidance on making biopore infiltration holes in an effort to conserve groundwater in home yards. With continuous training, it is expected that participants will gain knowledge and skills that can be used to reduce the risk of flooding due to overflowing rainwater and to increase the amount of clean water reserves in the soil.

Abstract

Quality Education is one of the 17 goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 launched by the United Nations in 2015. The teaching of Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and Informatics (MIPA-I) at the senior high school level constitutes an essential component of this goal. Adequate student understanding of MIPA-I is necessary to reduce the perception of these subjects as difficult and to prepare students for higher education. Such understanding is strongly influenced by teachers’ mastery of subject content and instructional methods. Therefore, improving the quality of content and knowledge transfer strategies among MIPA-I teachers, particularly in Lampung Province and Metro City, is of critical importance. A teacher development program involving members of the Senior High School Subject Teacher Forum (MGMP) of Metro City was implemented to enhance teachers’ competencies in delivering instructional materials, as indicated by an 85% increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test results.
