Abstract

A laboratory is a special place to carry out scientific activities. To support biology learning activities, every high school should have a laboratory with good management. This study aims to analyze the implementation of biological laboratory management at SMA Negeri Muaro Jambi Regency in planning, organizing, administering, structuring and securing. We collected data through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed the data descriptively. The order of the highest observation scores was from SMAN Titian Teras (3.67) in a very good category with a percentage of 91.75%, SMAN 1 (3.44) in a good category (86%), and SMAN 3 (2.88) in a bad category (72%). The results of scoring questionnaires and interviews on the implementation of laboratory management by biology teachers were the highest from SMAN Titian Teras (3.47) in a good category with a percentage of 86.75%, SMAN 1 (3.38) in a good category (84.5%) and SMAN 3 (3.08) not in a good category (77%). The scoring of the interview results from SMAN Titian Teras (3.76), a very good category with a percentage of 94%, SMAN 1 (3.76), a very good category with a percentage of 94%, and SMAN 3 (3.30), not a good category (82.5%). This study concludes that the implementation of laboratory management at SMA Negeri Muaro Jambi Regency is well implemented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesulitan siswa memahami materi. 46% siswaw kesulitan memahami materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Faktornya (1) buku teks biologi pegangan siswa berisi cakupan materi yang luas. (2) siswa cenderung pasif dalam pembelajaran. (3) siswa tidak terbiasa mengembangkan kreativitas. Wawancara dengan guru biologi diperoleh data bahwa belum adanya media pembelajaran berupa buku pengayaan biologi berbasis mind map. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mengetahui kelayakan dan mengetahui tanggapan guru serta tanggapan siswa terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Jenis data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket terbuka dan angket tertutup berupa skala Likert. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,27 termasuk kedalam kategori “layak”. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media diperoleh skor rata-rata 2,95 termasuk kategori “layak”. Ujicoba tanggapan guru biologi nilai rata-rata 91,29 termasuk kategori “baik” dan ujicoba tanggapan siswa nilai rata-rata 90,43 termasuk kategori “baik”

Abstract

Bagi guru menulis Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) adalah kewajiban. Dengan PTK guru dapat meneliti dan mengembangkan pembelajaran yang berkualitass. Namun sayangnya, guru-guru di SMA N 11 Muaro Jambi masih memiliki kekurangan dalam menulis PTK. Berdasarkan observasi penyebabnya adalah waktu untuk menulis yang masih kurang, mereka sibuk mengajar, ada juga yang mengalami kendalam dalam Menyusun instrument pengambilan data. Maka dari itu tim PPM FKIP Universitasa Jambi akan mengadakan workshop penelitian Tindakan kelas Bagi guru-guru SMAN 11 Muarro Jambi. Metode pelakasanaan kegiatan meliputi pemaparan Langkah-langkah Menyusun PTK, Menyusun instrument dan praktik Menyusun PTK. Kegiatan terakhir adalah evaluasi kegiatan dan apabila ada yang masih membutuhkan bimbingan maka akan dibimbing secara berkala.

Abstract

اللافقاريات هي واحدة من المواد التي يجب دراستها في البيولوجي للصف العاشر. في دراسة علم الأحياء، وخاصة في مادة اللافقاريات، تم العثور على العديد من المصطلحات باستخدام اللغة اللاتينية أو العلمية المتعلقة باللافقاريات. كثير من الطلاب يجدون صعوبة في متابعة مواد اللافقاريات، وخاصة في فهم شروط بنية الجسم من شوكيات الجلد و المفصليات التي غالبا ما يجدونها عندما يحدث التعلم. وبالتالي، لمعرفة معنى المصطلحات في المواد اللافقارية، يمكن للطلاب استخدام القواميس التي تستخدم اللغة اللاتينية والإندونيسية على أساس أندرويد ومجهزة أيضًا بالصور كمؤيدين. تم إجراء هذا البحث في مدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 في مدينة جامبي. تستخدم هذه الدراسة نموذج تطوير (ADDIE) الذي يتكون من خمس مراحل، هي: التحليل والتصميم والتطوير والتنفيذ والتقييم. نوع البيانات في هذه الدراسة هو البيانات الكمية، وهي البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها من تقييم استبيان الطلاب والبيانات النوعية، وهي البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها من فريق التحقق، وهم خبراء الإعلام وخبراء المواد. المنتجات التي تم تطويرها والتحقق من صحتها من قبل فريق من الخبراء يتألف من خبراء المواد وخبراء وسائل الإعلام، واختبرت مجموعات صغيرة ومجموعات كبيرة. تم تنفيذ نتائج التحقق من قبل الخبير المادي مرتين وتم الحصول على النسبة النهائية من 87.50٪ مع معايير جيدة للغاية وتم التحقق من صحة من قبل خبراء الإعلام 3 مرات، وكانت النسبة المئوية لجدوى المنتج 93.75٪ في معايير جيدة جدا. كانت النسبة المئوية للمحاكمات الجماعية الصغيرة لـ 8 من طلاب ببرنامج الرياضية والعلوم الطبيعية 84.01٪ في معايير جيدة للغاية وكانت النسبة المئوية للمحاكمات الجماعية الكبيرة لـ18 من طلاب ببرنامج الرياضية والعلوم الطبيعية 85.56٪ مع فئات جيدة جدًا. استنادًا إلى تحليل البيانات الكمية والنوعية، يمكن استنتاج أن المنتج الذي تم تطويره في شكل معجم بيولوجي يستند إلى أندرويد في مواد اللافقاريات للطلاب من الفئة مدرسة الثانوية الصف العاشر ببرنامج الرياضية والعلوم الطبيعية من الممكن استخدامه في عملية التعلم. Invertebrates is one of the compulsory materials in Biology lesson of class X. In studying biology,  there are  lots of terms using Latin or scientific language related to invertebrates. Many students have difficulty in learning Invertebrates material, especially in understanding the terminology section of the body structure of Echinoderms and Arthropods. Thus, to determine the meaning of the terms in these invertebrates materials students can use a dictionary that provides Latin and Indonesian languages based on Android and is also equipped with supporting images. This research was conducted at Senior High School 1 Jambi. This study aims to make learning media in the form of dictionary-based android biology in invertebrate material and test their feasibility with a small group trial. This study using ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: analysing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating. The type of data in this study is  a quantitative data which is obtained from the assessment of student questionnaire and qualitative data that is obtained from the validation team who are media and subject matter experts. The products have been developed and validated by a team of experts consisting of subject matter experts and media experts, tested to small groups and large groups. The results of the validation by subject matter experts which held 2 times gain the final percentage 87.50% in the criteria very well and the validation by media experts conducted 3 times, produces a percentage of 93.75% and the  product eligibility criteria is very well. The percentage of small group trial to 8 students MIPA is 84.01% in the criteria very well and the percentage of large groups of trials to 18 students MIPA is 85.56% in the excellent category. Based on the quantitative and qualitative data analysis, it can be concluded that the products developed in the form of the Dictionary of Biology Android based on Material of  Invertebrates for High School Students of  X Graders in Science Class is eligible to be implemented in the learning process..

Abstract

The need for education in the 21st century is increasing. Technology facilities in learning are increasing rapidly and sophisticated. Technology must be utilized to the maximum with everyone, especially learners and teachers. E-LKPD is a worksheet or teaching material made using 3D PageFlip Software in accordance with technological developments. This research aims to develop, know the feasibility and know the response of teachers and learners to the electronic use of LKPD (e-LKPD) High School class XI motion system material using PageFlip 3D Software. This type of research is a Research and development or R&D with a development model referring to the ADDIE model. The developed product is validated by material experts and media experts, and then assessed by the teacher of class XI biology subjects. The data used is qualitative and quantitative data, obtained from the results of analysis of questionnaire calculations and interviews. The results from research and development that have been written in this paper, it can be concluded that the e-LKPD media developed can be used as an additional medium in the learning process in motion system materials

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of PBL on students' critical thinking skills in plant reproduction system material. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental with the matching-only posttest only control group design research model with the non-random assignment sampling technique consisting of class IX-A as the experimental class (class with PBL) and class IX-B as the control class (non PBL/direct learning model), each of which is 20 students in each class. The results of this study indicate that the control class's critical thinking skills were between pretest and posttest. Criteria for critical thinking skills in the pretest consisted of very critical 0%, critical 65%, quite critical 48%, less critical 26.66%, and uncritical 7.14%. Criteria for critical thinking skills in the posttest consisted of very critical at 87.5%, critical at 70%, quite critical at 52.85%, less critical and uncritical at 0%. The results of testing the hypothesis using the t test obtained results in the experimental class having a significance value of 0.04 which is less than α 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is no effect of the PBL learning model on students' critical thinking skills. It can be concluded that there is no effect of the PBL model learning on the critical thinking skills of students in the plant reproduction system material for class IX at Junior High School Baiturrahim Jambi.

Abstract

One of the teaching materials that can improve student competence in cognitive aspects and student learning activities is Electronic Worksheets. Gastropods is a sub-material on the diversity of living things which is only discussed in general by the teacher so that the introduction of Gastropods to students is still lacking. To introduce and make learning more interesting, researchers provide an alternative E-LKPD assisted by wizer.me which displays descriptions, examples, pictures of Gastropods and activities that involve students directly with the natural surroundings. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) development research using the ADDIE development model which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The type of research data is qualitative and quantitative. Collecting research data using media and material validation questionnaires, perceptions of teachers and students. The test subjects in this study were 1 biology teacher, class XI students at Al-Falah Islamic High School, Jambi City, who were divided into small groups consisting of 6 people and large groups consisting of 23 people. The results of the research on the validation of material experts obtained a percentage of 83.33% in the very good category. Furthermore, the results of the validation of media experts obtained a percentage of 85% in the very good category. The results of the teacher's perception of 95% in the very good category, the results of the small group test obtained a percentage of 94.72% in the very good category and the large group test obtained a percentage of 85.94 in the very good category. Thus the E-LKPD assisted by wizer.me on the developed Gastropods sub-material is suitable for use as teaching materials that can support the learning process based on the results of validation of material experts, media experts, teacher responses and student responses

Abstract

Based on the unsatisfactory student learning outcomes, so it is necessary to apply a learning method to improve student learning outcomes, the researcher is interested in applying the JIGSAW model. This research is a classroom action research involving 40 students of class V at SDN 84/IV Jambi City. This study uses the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of three cycles. In each implementation cycle there are three meetings and each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. It is recorded on the initial score of the class average value of 33 with a proportion of 0%. So the research results obtained in the action cycle 1 class average value reached 59 with a total learning completeness of 11 students or 28%. In the action cycle II, the class average value was 69.25 with the total learning completeness of 22 students or 55% and in the action cycle III, the class average value reached 80 with a total learning completeness of 100%. This means that learning in cycle III has fulfilled indicators of success based on the class average value of 80%, so it can be concluded that improving learning using the JIGSAW type cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class V SDN 84/IV Jambi City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mengetahui kelayakan, dan mengetahui respon pengguna komik Webtoon sebagai suplemen pembelajaran materi sistem peredaran darah pada manusia untuk siswa SMA kelas XI MIA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 13 Kota Jambi pada 17 September 2021. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket validasi ahli materi dan ahli media untuk menguji kelayakan produk yang dikembangkan sebelum diuji cobakan. Selanjutnya data untuk respon pengguna diperoleh dari angket yang disebarkan kepada 6 orang siswa kelompok kecil, dan 30 orang siswa kelompok besar dan 1 guru bidang studi melalui google formulir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase proses validasi media dan materi diperoleh persentase validasi tahap I media yaitu 63% dalam kategori “baik” dan materi 38% dalam kategori “tidak baik”, kemudian pada tahap II media yaitu 86,25% dan materi 83% dalam kategori “sangat baik. Penilaian respon guru menyatakan bahwa komik yang telah dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase 91,67%. Hasil analisis data ujicoba kelompok kecil menyatakan bahwa komik yang telah dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”dengan persentase 88,61%. Dan dari hasil analisis data ujicoba kelompok besar menyatakan bahwa komik yang telah dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase 86,38%. Dari hasil penelitian dan pengembangan disimpulkan bahwa komik Webtoon yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai suplemen pembelajaran.

Abstract

Socio scientific issues deals with learning materials related to controversial issues that develop along with the development of scientific and technological advances.This study aims to compare the PjBL learning model with the STEM PjBL learning model based on socio scientific issues in each class in the biology education study program in improving students' scientific literacy. Quantitative research methods are associative and comparative types. This study took research samples from the research population, namely students in the 7th semester of the biology education study program as many as 60 samples. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Data collection used a student response questionnaire to the PjBL learning model and a scientific literacy questionnaire. The results of the t test found that there were differences in the responses of regular students A and regular B to the PjBL learning model and the STEM project based learning innovation based on SSI learning model. The results of the correlation test found that there was a significant relationship between the responses of regular B semester 7 biology education students to the PjBL model variables and students' scientific literacy
