Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of financial and non-financial compensation on work motivation and officials’ performance at Hasanuddin University, Makassar. This research was a qualitative approach. The populations were Education Officers of State Civil Apparatus of Hasanuddin University having a work period of more than 10 years. The data were obtained through observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Data processing and analysis were performed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 23. The results of the research indicate that (1) there is a positive and significant financial and non-financial compensation on work motivation, (2) there is a positive and significant financial and non-financial compensation on officials’ performance, (3) there is a positive and significant financial and non-financial compensation on officials’ performance through work motivation.

Abstract

Competence is the ability of an individual to carry out a job correctly and has an advantage based on matters relating to knowledge, expertise, and attitude.This study aims to determine the effect of competencies, organizational culture, and organizational commitment on job satisfaction and its impact on employee performance at PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. The approach in this study is a quantitative. The population in this study were all employees at the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C. amounting to 48 people. The method of data collection is done using observations and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) Competence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction in the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. (2) Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction in the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. (3) Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction in the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. (4) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. (5) The mediation test results that indicate that job satisfaction can affect the influence of competencies on employee performance in the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. (6) The mediation test results that show that job satisfaction can influence the influence of organizational culture on employee performance at the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar. (7) The mediation test results that indicate that job satisfaction can mediate the influence of organizational commitment on employee performance in the company PT. Haji La Tunrung A.M.C in Makassar.

Abstract

The research objective is to analyse the effect of organizational culture on employee performance with the mediation of the variable organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Data analysis in this research is quantitative using a path analysis model (Path) with the help of Smart PLS Software version 3.2 .8. The results found that organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Interestingly, it indicates an insignificant effect on employee performance. Organizational commitment and job satisfaction both show a significant positive effect on employee performance. For testing the indirect effect is found empirical facts that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on employee performance if mediated by organizational commitment. The organizational culture does not have a significant positive effect on employee performance if mediated by job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial motivation on the performance of packaged food MSME actors through the innovative products in Mamuju Regency. This research was conducted using quantitative data, while the data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The sampling technique used in this study was sampling with a saturated sampling method where the researcher used all members of the population totaling 70 business actors. Data testing is done by using validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results showed that entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial motivation had a positive and significant effect on innovative products. Entrepreneurial competence, entrepreneurial motivation, and innovation products had a positive and significant effect on the performance of packaged food MSME. Entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial motivation through innovation products have an indirect effect on the performance of packaged food MSME actors in Mamuju Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product diversity and service quality on competitive advantage as well as the effect of product diversity, service quality, and competitive advantage on marketing performance in the case of two retailer companies, Hero and Transmark. Data collected 100 consumers with the distribution of questionnaires. The data is then analyzed using path analysis. The results of the study found that product diversity and service quality had a positive and significant effect in increasing competitive advantage. Product diversity, service quality, and competitive advantage can have a meaningful effect in improving marketing performance. Competitive advantage can partially mediate the effect of product diversity on marketing performance and also the effect of service quality on marketing performance at Hero and Transmart supermarkets.

Abstract

Nowadays, efforts to develop the welfare of rural communities in Indonesia are driven by village-owned enterprises which are being developed by villages. The study examines linking the effect of cultural values on employee performance with entrepreneurial orientation as an intervening in the case of village-owned enterprises in North Toraja Utara, South Sulawesi Province. The study collected data from 84 village-owned enterprises with the use of a five-Likert scale. To analyze the research model, the study applied path analysis. Statistical findings showed that cultural value and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. It is also found that entrepreneurial orientation can mediate the relationship between cultural values and employee performance.

Abstract

Loyalty and trust from customers are the keys for the company to be sustainable as when customers are loyal and trust the company, they will make repeat engagement with the company and are reluctant to move with other products and services offered by other companies. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality and satisfaction on customer trust and customer loyalty of PT. Indonesia National Shipping Company or called PT. PELNI. The study collected data from 98 passengers using the service of the Indonesian National Shipping Company during Covid-19 traveling from Makassar to Bau-Bau or vice versa. Data was collected using questionnaires. Data collected data are then evaluated their validity and reliability and tested their classical assumption test afterward. The study use path analysis to resolve problems raised from the study. The results showed that service quality had a positive and significant effect on consumer trust and loyalty. Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer trust, but an insignificant effect on consumer loyalty. Trust has a positive and significant effect on loyalty.
