Abstract

Drones are advanced technology that can help humans in transportation because they can see almost everything and save human energy. In fact, in some cases, they may not disrupt traffic like regular vehicles. The Technical Guidance Activity to Increase Capacity in the Use and Utilization of Drone Data (UHV/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is intended to provide West Aceh District Land Service officials with insight and knowledge about the use and utilization of drone data. The purpose of this service is to provide an introduction and insight to West Aceh District Land Service officials regarding the use and utilization of drone data (UHV/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) as well as providing direction and knowledge about the steps for implementing the use and utilization of drone data. The Technical Guidance Activity for Increasing the Capacity of Use and Utilization of Drone Data (UHV/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) for West Aceh Regency Land Service officials is an activity held by the USK Forestry Research Center in collaboration with Teuku Umar University on Wednesday 15 February 2023 from at 08.30 until finished. The theme of the material provided is Mapping Using Drones and its application in making contour maps with the help of GIS applications. The method used is a presentation. With this technical guidance regarding the Use and Utilization of Drone Data (UHV/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), participants understand the ease of processing map data, especially those related to land mapping.  Keyword : Drone, UHV/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, Mapping

Abstract

AbstractThe earthquake that hit Aceh on December 26, 2004 caused severe damage to various facilities, physical infrastructure, including buildings. To overcome damage to buildings due to earthquakes, it is by designing building structures using the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS). The purpose of this study is to determine the dimensions of effective cross-section, repetition and structural performance against earthquake loads using SMRFS. The analysis method in this study uses  ETABS V.21 Software to determine the capacity of the building after using the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS), planning is carried out in the city of Meulaboh where the SDS value is 0.8910 and SD1 0.6800 are included in the seismic design category D. The results of the analysis show that the cross-sectional dimensions of the structure have met the cross-sectional criteria for SMRFS, the requirements of strong columns are met. The inter-floor gap is smaller than the permit intersection, the largest intersection on the 7th floor with a ∆ value of 43.9140 mm is smaller than ∆a 88 mm. The repetition ratio of beams, columns and plates meets the repetition requirements for which ρbeam has been obtained. Based on the results obtained, the dimensions of the structural components are included in the most effective, namely the size of B1 600/400 mm, B2 600/350 mm, K1 500/450 mm, plate 150 mm and plate 120 mm because the fundamental period includes the maximum where T = 0.8150 seconds does not cross the lower limit Ta (min) = 0.8291 seconds and the upper limit Ta (max) = 1.1607 seconds. By complying with the shear capacity (VT) design requirements, the columns and beams are designed to reduce shear forces due to earthquakes. The dimensions of the structural components of each floor must also conform to the design criteria of reinforced concrete, and the nominal shear capacity (VT) must be greater than the force acting on the columns and beams (V). AbstrakGempa bumi yang melanda Aceh pada 26 desember 2004 menyebabkan kerusakan parah pada berbagai sarana, prasarana fisik, termasuk bangunan. Untuk mengatasi kerusakan pada bangunan akibat gempa yaitu dengan mendesain struktur bangunan menggunakan Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dimensi penampang efektif, penulangan dan kinerja struktur terhadap beban gempa yang menggunakan SMRFS. Metode analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan Software ETABS V.21 untuk mengetahui kapasitas gedung setelah digunakan Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS), perencanaan dilakukan dikota meulaboh dimana nilai SDS 0.8910 dan SD1 0.6800 termasuk kategori desain seismik D. Hasil analisis menunjukkan dimensi penampang struktur memenuhi kriteria penampang untuk SMRFS, syarat kolom kuat terpenuhi. Simpangan antar lantai lebih kecil dari simpangan izin, simpangan paling besar di lantai 7 yaitu ∆ 43.9140 mm lebih kecil dari ∆a 88 mm. Nilai rasio penulangan balok, kolom dan plat memenuhi syarat penulangan dimana ρbalok dibawah ρbalok ijin. Berdasarkan hasil diperoleh dimensi bagian struktur sudah termasuk yang paling efektif yaitu ukuran B1 400/600 mm, B2 350/600 mm, K1 450/500 mm, plat 150 mm dan plat 120 mm disebabkan oleh periode fundamental paling besar T = 0.8150 detik tidak melewati batas bawah Ta (min) = 0.8291 detik dan batas atas Ta (max) = 1.1607 detik. Struktur mematuhi syarat desain kapasitas geser (VT), kolom dan balok yang didesain dapat mengurangi gaya geser akibat gempa. Dimensi komponen struktur setiap lantai juga harus sesuai kriteria desain beton bertulang, dan kapasitas geser nominal (VT) harus lebih besar dari gaya yang bekerja pada kolom dan balok (V).

Abstract

Bandar Udara Cut Nyak Dhien, yang terletak di Kabupaten Nagan Raya, Provinsi Aceh, memiliki peran penting dalam menghubungkan daerah tersebut dengan berbagai kota besar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren penerbangan dan penumpang di bandara tersebut dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Dengan menggunakan data statistik penerbangan dan jumlah penumpang, penelitian ini memberikan gambaran mengenai perkembangan lalu lintas udara, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tren tersebut, serta potensi pengembangan bandara ke depan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat fluktuasi dalam jumlah penumpang, ada potensi untuk peningkatan yang signifikan dengan pengembangan fasilitas dan layanan yang lebih baik. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya investasi infrastruktur dan promosi untuk meningkatkan daya saing bandara di tingkat nasional.

Abstract

West Aceh Regency produces 2,804 tons/year of palm oil with a total of 1.8 million tons/year of palm shell waste. Utilization and solutions to palm shell waste can be done by burning palm shells at high temperatures until they become ashes. Palm ash contains a certain amount of silica and has pozzolan qualities. This study aims to decide the impact of the utilize of palm shell ash and silicafume in High Early Strength Concrete (HESC) concrete mixtures on the magnitude of the compressive strength of concrete. The method used is the experimental laboratory method using American Concrete Institute (ACI) method. The composition of the test pieces is normal concrete (BN), palm shell ash concrete (BCS) with a percentage of 3%, 5%, and 7% plus silicafume 1.5% of the cement weight. The test specimen uses a cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm x 30 cm totaling 24 pieces. Based on the results of the maximum compressive strength of 7-day concrete life of 22.552 MPa of BN test piece, the minimum value is 19.155 MPa of 7% BCS test piece. At 28 days of concrete age, the maximum compressive strength is 26.893 MPa for 3% BCS test piece, and the minimum value is 22.364 MPa for 5% BCS test piece. Based on the results of the tests and analyses carried out, it can be concluded that the expansion of palm shell fiery remains and silicafume to the concrete blend can increment the compressive quality of concrete on average above 20 MPa over time due to the influence of the percentage of pozzolan shell ash and the addictive substance silicafume.

Abstract

The development of sustainable construction technology requires construction planners to continue to follow technological innovations in the completion of infrastructure projects. One of the basic principles of construction technology that must be carried out is to apply construction technology based on industry 5.0. Therefore, this service aims to provide socialization and training to Teuku Umar University students to be able to use applications that can be used to facilitate the field of construction in the world of technology, namely SAP2000. This service is carried out offline via zoom. The method in this service is that each participant is trained to use the SAP2000 software to master the tools in the software, so that they can model bridges with steel materials, and can produce good designs for construction by providing material, questions and answers, and discussions. The result of this service is the existence of civil study club activities: socialization and training of the SAP2000 software, in the future it is expected to create superior human resources who can master the use of SAP2000 in completing infrastructure construction technology in the world of construction.

Abstract

SDIK (Sekolah Dasar Islam Karakter) Yayasan Nurul Qur’an berlokasi Kabupaten Aceh Besar merupakan sekolah dasar yang memiliki prasarana Ruang Kelas Belajar (RKB) sejumlah 8 ruang dan belum mencukupi untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar. Oleh karena itu, perlu dibangun Ruang Kelas Belajar (RKB) yang baru untuk kelancaran aktivitas sehari-hari. Kawasan Sekolah ini merupakan lahan persawahan yang telah dilakukan pembangunan dan pengembangan kawasan. pada pengabdian ini penulis menggunakan sebagai pengabdian masyarakat untuk Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi bagi Dosen. Tujuan ingin dicapai secara umum adalah pembangunan Ruang Kuliah Belajar (RKB) untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar untuk menunjang program kegiatan SDIK Nurul Qur’an. Manfaat kegiatan ini memberikan sarana pendidikan berbasis Islam karakter, khususnya pendidikan karakter bagi generasi muda dan anak-anak bangsa. Hasilnya, metode penyampaian dilakukan dengan tinjauan survei dan pelaksanaan ke lokasi pekerjaan, hasil print out dibagikan kepada peserta, penggambaran dilakukan dengan spidol di kertas tempel di dinding. Pekerja merupakan para tukang yang telah bekerja di atas 5 tahun, pemahaman penyampaian mudah ditanggapi dan dipahami sehingga sosialisasi pendampingan ini berjalan sukses.

Abstract

The traditional Acehnese house, known as "rumoh Aceh," is a precious cultural heritage that has become an architectural icon of the region. However, their vulnerability to earthquakes and tsunamis has prompted research into the use of alternative construction materials to improve the seismic resistance of Acehnese houses. This study aims to assess the comparison of internal forces occurring in Acehnese houses with mild steel construction as an alternative construction material, using the response spectrum method. The study adopted a quantitative approach and sampled Acehnese houses covering a wide range of types and ages. Data on house characteristics, including design, construction materials, Furthermore, computer models of Aceh houses with mild steel construction and conventional Aceh houses were analysed using the response spectrum method. The results showed that Acehnese houses with C75 mild steel construction showed that the internal forces obtained gave unsafe design results with the single cross-section so that larger dimensional changes to the double cross-section were required. Spectrum response analysis provides a better understanding of how mild steel construction can reduce the risk of earthquake damage. The findings indicate that the use of mild steel as an alternative construction material in Acehnese houses is a viable option to improve earthquake resistance, preserve their cultural heritage, while protecting lives and property.

Abstract

Aceh Barat menghasilkan kelapa sawit sebanyak dengan jumlah limbah cangkang sawit mencapai 1,8 juta ton/tahun. Pemanfaatan dan solusi terhadap limbah cangkang sawit dapat dilakukan dengan pembakaran cangkang sawit pada suhu tinggi hingga menjadi abu. Abu sawit mengandung sejumlah silika dan memiliki kualitas pozzolan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan abu cangkang sawit dan silicafume pada campuran  High Early Strength Concrete (HESC) terhadap besarnya nilai kuat tarik belah maksimum beton. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental laboratotium American Concrete Institute (ACI). Komposisi benda uji yaitu  menggunakan beton normal (BN) beton abu cangkang sawit (BCS) dengan persentase 3%, 5%, dan 7% ditambah silica fume 1,5% terhadap berat semen. Benda uji menggunakan silinder diameter 150 mm x 300 mm berjumlah 12 buah. Hasil kuat tarik belah beton maksimum umur 7 hari sebesar 2,548 MPa benda uji BN, nilai minimum sebesar 2,453 MPa benda uji BCS 3% dan BCS 5%. Pada umur 28 hari kuat tarik belah beton maksimum sebesar 3,020 MPa benda uji BCS 3%, nilai minimum sebesar 2,548 MPa benda uji BCS 5%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian di lakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan abu  dan analisis yang cangkang sawit dan silica fume pada campuran beton dapat meningkatkan kuat tarik belah beton rata-rata. Seiring berjalannya waktu disebabkan pengaruh persentase abu cangkang yang bersifat pozzolan dan adiktif silica fume.

Abstract

The Socialization of Communication, Information, and Education (KIE) for Disaster-Prone Areas in Aceh Barat Regency in 2024 aims to enhance public understanding and preparedness for various natural disasters, such as fires, earthquakes, and tsunamis. This activity is a collaboration between the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Aceh Barat and the Civil Engineering Department lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Teuku Umar. The socialization took place at SMP Negeri 2 Meureubo, with students as the main participants. The program included educational presentations about the risks and mitigation measures for different types of disasters and concluded with an earthquake simulation. The students participated enthusiastically, showing an intense interest in understanding how to protect themselves and respond correctly during a disaster. The earthquake simulation provided participants with the opportunity to practice their ability to react to emergency situations directly. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in students' awareness and understanding of the importance of disaster preparedness. It is hoped that this program will be continuously implemented in other schools across Aceh Barat to help build a more resilient community in facing future disaster threats.
