Abstract

Palm shell is a waste from palm oil production which is shaped like a shell with a hard layer character that aims to protect the palm kernels. The addition of palm shells to concrete is an innovation and breakthrough in the more productive use of palm oil waste. In this study, the percentage of addition of palm shells was used, among others, 0%, 7% and 14% by weight of cement with variations in the cement water factor (FAS) of 0.35, 0.45 and 0.50. The test object used was a cube (15 x 15 x 15) cm with a total of 9 test objects for each FAS with a test time of 28 days. The results of the concrete compressive strength test obtained data for FAS 0.35, the average compressive strength for BTCS was 348.15 kg/cm2, BDCSA (7%) was 363.07 kg/cm2 and BDCSB (14%) was 302.90 kg/cm2. FAS 0. 45 the average compressive strength for BTCS was 292.59 kg/cm2, BDCSA (7%) was 303.20 kg/cm2 and BDCSB (14%) was 249.27 kg/cm2. FAS 0.50 average compressive strength for BTCS was 273.09 kg/cm2, BDCSA (7%) was 271.53 kg/cm2 and BDCSB (14%) was 219.47 kg/cm2. The test results show that the average concrete compressive strength is influenced by the cement water factor (FAS) and the percentage of addition of palm shells in the concrete mix.

Abstract

AbstractIndonesia located in an area where 3 plates meet. tectonic main, namely Indo-Australian, Eurasian, and Pacific plates. This make Indonesia as very vulnerable area to earthquake and have activity high sesmic to earthquake. from that , it is necessary planned something system structure damper earthquake that named is base isolation structure. Research objectives is knowing suitable LRB type For applied to buildings , and to knowing comparison between structure fixed base with base isolation . Rusunawa Building Meulaboh Smart Building (MSB) with 7 floors has a length of 14,30 and a width of 14,30. Analysis Method structure use ETABS v.21 software , which was analyzed is element structure building For know style in , displacement and story drift . Comparison results analysis structure fixed base with structure base isolation LRB type with type LH120G4A, in style in system base isolation more reduced , style in in the form of style  axial , style shear , and moment in succession are 1.02%, 2.05% and 1.68%. displacement reduced X direction of 11.18% and the Y direction of 6.19%. From the results analysis that Usage base isolation more effective dampen earthquake compared to with structure fixed base. the analysis results, the deviation that occurred on the 7th floor was 45.470 mm, which was smaller than the requirement of 53 mm in the X-axis direction and 47.216 mm, which was smaller than the requirement of 53 mm in the Y-axis direction. AbstrakNegara Indonesia berada pada wilayah bertemunya 3 lempeng gempa tektonik utama, yaitu lempengan Indo-Australia, Eurasia, dan Pasifik. Hal ini menyebabkan Indonesia sebagai daerah yang sangat rawan terhadap gempa bumi dan memiliki aktivitas sesmik yang tinggi terhadap gempa bumi. Maka dari itu, perlu direncanakan sistem struktur peredam gempa dengan sistem base isolation. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis LRB yang cocok untuk diterapkan pada gedung, dan untuk mendapatkan perbandingan antara struktur bangunan fixed base dengan base isolation. Gedung Rusunawa Meulaboh Smart Building (MSB) berlantai 7 dengan Panjang 14,30 dan lebar 14,30. Metode Analisis struktur menggunakan software ETABS v.21, yang dianalisis adalah elemen struktur gedung untuk mengetahui gaya dalam, displacement dan story drift. Perbandingan hasil analisis struktur bangunan fixed base dengan struktur base isolation jenis LRB dengan tipe LH120G4A, pada gaya dalam sistem base isolation lebih tereduksi, gaya dalam terdiri dari gaya aksial, gaya geser, dan momen berturut – turut adalah 1,02%, 2,05% dan 1,68%. displacement arah X tereduksi sebesar 11,18% dan arah Y sebesar 6,19%. Dari hasil analisa bahwa pengunaan base isolation lebih efektif meredam gempa dibandingkan dengan struktur fixed base, dari hasil analisa yang didapatkan simpangan yang terjadi di lantai 7 sebesar 45,470 mm lebih kecil dari syarat 0,03/R x H yaitu 53 mm pada arah sumbu X dan 47,216 mm lebih kecil dari syarat0,03/R x H yaitu 53 mm pada arah sumbu Y sesuai standar SNI 1726-2019.
