Abstract

When the child enters play group, the child needs to introduce urine eliminations. Due to when the child is entered preschool, they will be loose from their parents to do anything such as including urine elimination. But this time, the children don’t have self government to do urine elimination. The puspose of this research measured self government image to urine elimination of children in play group. The metodh of this research was descriptive and the sample was children in play group who were aged 3-4 years old. They were choosen by inclution criteria, with total sampling is 15 respondents. For research survey was known self government image of children in play group got 9 respondents (60%) who were hanged easily for urine elimination by themselves. Many factors as sign or desire of the children who do expression to feel their urine elimination and learn toilet training less, because mother’s age is younger. So, their mother understand to give their children about toilet training. The mother’s job is a house wife and they are less disvantage their time in home for learn their children in deep toilet training before they reach urine elimination by themselves. Health educator and the others should give information to their family and the others who have children for learn about urine elimination. Whereas many mothers have much time for to do it, they can give toilet training for their children until their children have self government of urine elimination. Abstract

Rheumatism are often seen in the elderly is rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by inflammation of the common symptoms of pain. Non-pharmacologic treatment that can be used to cope with the pain are Benson relaxation and warm compress. This research aims to prove the different effect of Benson relaxation and warm compress to change the intensity of joint pain in older adults with rheumatoid arthritis in UPT Panti Werdha Mojopahit Mojokerto. In this research design used is Quasy experiment with the approach pre-test post-test control group design. Sample of 18 people were taken by simple random sampling. 9 people from experimental group was given Benson relaxation and 9 people from control group was given warm compress. Collecting data using a pain scale Bourbonais. Paired T-Test shows that p (0.009) < α (0.05), so Ho is rejected it means there are significant Benson relaxation to change the intensity of joint pain in older adults with rheumatoid arthritis. To test the Independent Sample T-Test shows that p (0.176) > α (0.05), so that Ho is accepted it means the average change in pain intensity in experiment group with the control group was significantly the same. In most of the elderly, pain is an problem that will affect the activities of daily activities and quality of life. Chronic pain management often require psychological interventions for elderly. Benson relaxation techniques are passive relaxation techniques is’nt using muscle tension so it is appropriate to relieve pain, because when the muscle tension will increases pain.Keywords: Benson relaxation, Warm compress, joint pain intensity, elderly

Abstract

Choking is a very serious incident that threatens life. More than 50 children die each year from choking on foreign objects or food. The mothers showed a negative attitude towards the action in preventing choking which is about 60%. Provide health education on the prevention of choking in children is expected to change ones attitude. The purpose of this study was to prove whether there are differences in attitudes before and after health education with extension methods to change the attitude of mothers to prevent choking in children in the Pos Paud Kuncup Ceria. The method used is a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. Population in research in was all mothers whose children attend early childhood Pos Paud Kuncup Ceria totaling 25 people. The sample in this study are all mothers whose children attend early childhood Pos Paud Kuncup Ceria. The sampling technique is a type of non-probability sampling total sampling as many as 25 respondents. Data taken using a quetionaire. Having collected the data analysis with frequency distribution. The result shows no difference in the attitude of the mother before and after health education to prevent choking in children with an average of 44.48 before health education be given 51.08 after health education . Based on the above results are expected to further improve the health personnel, guidance and counseling to improve the mothers attitude that the way to prevent choking in children can be overcome in accordance with what has been described and is able to perform these actions independently.Keywords: Health Education, Attitude, Choking
