Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji reaksi publik terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) Indonesia yang mempertahankan batasan umur minimal 35 tahun untuk calon presiden dan wakil presiden. Dengan menggunakan metode Naïve Bayes untuk menganalisis sentimen dari data Twitter, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap persepsi publik terhadap regulasi ini. Analisis menunjukkan mayoritas sentimen negatif (90.9%), dengan hanya 6.6% sentimen positif dan 2.5% sentimen netral, menandakan ketidakpuasan yang dominan di kalangan publik. Akurasi analisis sentimen yang dihasilkan mencapai 67.98%, menegaskan efektivitas Naïve Bayes dalam konteks ini. Penelitian menghasilkann betapa pentingnya akan pembahasan lebih mendalam mengenai syarat pencalonan yang dapat mencerminkan aspirasi masyarakat agar mempertimbangkan aspek pengalaman dan kedewasaan. Dalam konteks yang lebih luas, temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang dinamika opini publik dan potensi revisi peraturan terkait, merekomendasikan kajian lebih lanjut untuk memahami dampak kebijakan tersebut terhadap struktur demokrasi Indonesia

Abstract

Introduction: Banana plants are easy to find and grow in Indonesia, including in Jember. Banana production in Jember in 2020 increased by 50% and has the potential to be inventoried and developed. Information regarding the characteristics of various banana cultivars is needed for future banana breeding. This research was conducted to identify and classify the genome of bananas growing in Jember and determine the level of banana diversity. Methods: The banana exploration using a purposive sampling method. The observation of 15 morphological characters followed the method of Simmonds and Shepherd. Determination of the genome followed the method of Silayoi & Chamchalow and Singh & Uma. The kinship analysis uses cluster analysis using the average linkage method and Gower distance, by R Studio software. Results: There were 23 banana cultivars obtained in this research, consisting of 35% dessert bananas and 65% plantain types. Genome identification results in four genome groups, namely AA/AAA, AAB, ABB, and BB. Cluster analysis produces three main groups, where its branch is generally consistent with the genome grouping. The closest relationship is between Rayap and Seribu bananas (0.96), while the furthest is between Gaje and Agung bananas (0.38). The dissimilarity value for 23 banana cultivars is 0.36, or the similarity is 0.64. Conclusion: The 23 banana cultivars are closely related or have low diversity based on the 15 morphological characters observed. Further identification can be carried out with a greater number of morphological characters, accompanied by molecular identification.

Abstract

Agriculture plays a crucial role in the economy and social life in Indonesia, especially in rural areas where the majority of the population relies on this sector for livelihood and food security. However, challenges such as climate change and plant diseases, particularly Fusarium wilt in chili peppers, threaten the sustainability of the agricultural sector. This study represents the implementation of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK ORMAWA) by the Student Association of Agricultural Social Economics (HIMASETA) to establish a Youth Farming Center in Sukowiryo Village, Jelbuk District, Jember Regency, as an innovative solution to local issues. This community service aims to enhance agricultural productivity in Sukowiryo Village through the use of Trichoderma as a biofungicide. The primary focus of the activity is training on the use of Trichoderma as a biological agent to combat Fusarium wilt, and educating young farmers on its benefits and application techniques. The program includes outreach, training in the production of Trichoderma using corn as a medium, and knowledge evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. Results show a significant increase in participants' knowledge about Trichoderma, from 21% in the pre-test to 90% in the post-test, with a deep understanding of its benefits and application techniques. Regular use of Trichoderma effectively reduced Fusarium wilt incidence by 50% and increased average chili pepper yields by 15%. The program is expected to promote environmentally friendly agricultural practices and support food security in rural areas.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, mangga terdistribusi luas dan memiliki keragaman bentuk, ukuran, rasa dan bentuk daun. Jawa Timur termasuk sentra produksi mangga dengan produksi mencapai 41% dari produksi nasional. Beragam jenis mangga dapat tumbuh baik di Kabupaten Jember. Mangga lokal yang ada perlu dikarakterisasi terutama yang memiliki keunggulan untuk dapat dikembangkan sebagai buah unggulan daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi morfologi berbagai jenis mangga dari delapan kecamatan di Kabupaten Jember. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Data pengamatan dianalisis deskriptif, korelasi, biplot, dan klaster. Hasil eksplorasi diperoleh 12 jenis mangga terdiri atas mangga lokal seperti apel hijau, apel merah, padi, cantel, mahatir, telur, madura selain gadung, manalagi, arum manis, golek, dan kweni. Hasil analisis menunjukkan koefisien variasi yang tinggi pada karakter panjang tangkai daun dan panjang tangkai bunga. Dua karakter tersebut juga berkorelasi sangat signifikan dan positif, demikian pula karakter panjang dan lebar buah terhadap bobot buah. Panjang helai daun dapat digunakan dalam menentukan karakter penciri morfologi daun mangga.  Jenis mangga Cantel memiliki keunikan dengan tingkat ketidakmiripan 43,5% dibandingkan 11 jenis mangga lainnya. Pengelompokan jenis mangga yang terbentuk berdasarkan kemiripan/ketidakmiripan karakter morfologi meskipun berasal dari lokasi yang berbeda

Abstract

Tembakau (Nicotiana tabacum L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki nilai ekonomi cukup tinggi. Curah hujan tinggi dapat menyebabkan terjadinya genangan dan merupakan kendala utama dalam budidaya tanaman tembakau. Banyak studi telah menunjukkan bahwa genangan mempengaruhi respon morfologi, fisiologi dan anatomi pada tanaman. Kalsium berperan dalam membantu proses metabolisme tanaman saat mengalami cekaman abiotik. Pemberian kalsium pada tanaman dapat meningkatkan adaptasinya terhadap genangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui toleransi tanaman tembakau terhadap cekaman genangan pada berbagai taraf aplikasi kalsium berdasarkan respon fisiologi, morfologi serta anatominya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2021 hingga Januari 2022 di Kebun percobaan Universal PT. Tempu Rejo menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah penggenangan tanaman tembakau pada usia yang berbeda (tanpa penggenangan/kontrol; penggenangan pada 21 hari setelah tanam (HST), 28 HST, dan 35 HST). Faktor kedua adalah aplikasi kalsium dengan dosis (0, 8.5, 10, dan 11.5 g per tanaman). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kalsium 11.5 g per tanaman yang diaplikasikan efektif meningkatkan toleransi tanaman terhadap cekaman genangan berdasarkan karakteristik morfologinya. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kalsium dapat menekan keberadaan H2O2 sebagai ROS (reactive oxygen species) serta dapat mempertahankan struktur anatomi akar dan anatomi stomata di bawah cekaman genangan. Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, the business world has now entered digital marketing, often referred to as digital marketing. This marketing utilizes social media and internet-based platforms to market products. One of the economic strengths that has been supporting the Indonesian economy is the presence of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The implementation of digital marketing opens up significant opportunities for MSMEs to capitalize on it. Culinary MSMEs in Kebonsari Village, Jember Regency, East Java, are experiencing challenges in running their businesses, particularly in marketing, which has previously been carried out only through conventional methods. Therefore, training is needed on the use of digital marketing and the creation of engaging content. The goal of this activity is to provide knowledge about the importance of digital marketing in product marketing and how to create creative content to build product branding. Digital marketing can be implemented using social media platforms like Instagram and online platforms like Grab (Grabfood) and Gojek (Gofood). Community service activities are carried out for one month with a different agenda each week. The stages carried out include (1) Location survey and identification of problems experienced, (2) Training in the use of social media and training in taking photos/videos, (3) Assistance in the use of social media and training in taking photos/videos and (4) Monitoring and evaluation of activities. The results of these activities are (1) Problems were found, namely a decrease in sales turnover of culinary businesses because marketing so far still uses conventional methods, (2) Culinary MSME actors know and apply digital marketing by using social media Instagram and online platforms such as Grab (Grabfood) and Gojek (Gofood), (3) Culinary MSME actors have expertise in taking photos/videos as promotional media. With this training activity, culinary MSME actors as the target of the activity feel helped because with this program they can understand what digital marketing is and how to implement it.
