Abstract

Communication is an important element in human life. Every human being is bound to communicate either verbally or non-verbally. However, today's society does not ignore the principles that need to be adhered to when communication takes place. Negotiation is used to bridge different interests, between producers and consumers. Business ethics are important in this era of increasingly fierce business competition. The many cases of violations in the business world that have caused adverse impacts on each other, this raises the importance of business ethics awareness. Doing business in the era of disruption requires Islamic Business Ethics in order to achieve business profits without destroying each other. Islam teaches to be honest, trustworthy and fair in doing business and to avoid manipulation, harm, speculation, monopoly and hoarding, and usury. Islam provides a boundary or dividing line between what is allowed and what is not allowed, what is right and wrong and what is halal and haram.

Abstract

The practice of lobbying and negotiation by government officials has become commonplace in various countries in the world, but in reality the practice of lobbying and negotiation is often seen as the worst thing involving conflict in politics. In fact, lobbying or interest representation is closely related to politicians or administrative authorities who usually target certain groups. Meanwhile, negotiation is defined as an approach to managing conflict in interpersonal or group settings, which is intended to reduce differences between incompatibilities and end with an agreement. The researcher used descriptive analysis as a research method, using a qualitative approach, and the results explained that, in politics, lobbying and negotiation are needed to carry out negotiations to reach an agreement between the negotiators. To reach an agreement and win goals in negotiations, of course political communicators need a strategy, which canbe done through a distributive approach. In political communication, political lobbying and negotiation rhetoric should be carried out face to face and door to door, because both require a more personal space so that the goal of persuasion is more possible so that dialogue and compromise can occur. Lobbying and negotiations carried out by political communicators target stakeholders. For this reason, the political communicator's skills in interacting with the general public are an important focus, because the lobbying and negotiation process is considered complete if the desired agreement has been achieved.

Abstract

Educational reform is a crucial agenda in the effort to improve human resources quality in Indonesia. Political communication plays a central role in this process, particularly in the context of elementary education. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review design to analyze relevant literature on political communication in the elementary education reform in Indonesia. The results indicate that effective political communication is essential for disseminating educational policies, garnering support, and overcoming resistance from various stakeholders. The main challenges include a lack of clarity in conveying information, low community participation, and insufficient feedback mechanisms. Successful communication strategies include the use of mass media and social media, participatory approaches, and training for stakeholders. Best practices from countries like Finland and Singapore highlight the importance of transparency and community participation in the educational reform process. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the government enhance the transparency and consistency of communication, encourage active community participation, develop effective feedback mechanisms, adopt international best practices, and improve stakeholders' communication skills. Thus, it is hoped that political communication in elementary education reform in Indonesia can be more effective and achieve the desired educational goals.   Keywords: educational reform, elementary school, political communication

Abstract

ampe Marta Cave Tourism is located in Kutai National Park, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, and is one of the natural tourism areas with high biodiversity. The tourist route in this area offers natural beauty and a habitat that supports the lives of various butterfly species. This study aims to identify plants that are food sources (nectar) and non-nectar, types of butterflies, and the characteristics of pollen from each food plant. This study uses the transect method, namely taking samples of flowers and butterflies along the route, and the acetolysis method to see the morphological characteristics of pollen. The results of the study showed that there were 19 species from 11 families of nectar-eating plants identified as being utilized by butterflies (imago) as a source of nectar, where Ageratum conyzoides (Asteraceae), Asystasia gangetica (Family Acanthaceae), Leea indica (Family Vitaceae) were the dominant species that were often visited. In contrast, non-nectar feed such as minerals, rotten fruit, and animal feces, where out of 14 butterfly species identified, 11 dominant species sucked minerals on the banks of rivers or mud puddles, two species visited rotten fruit, and one species was seen in animal feces. Nectar feed has the characteristics of large and round-elongated pollen, which is more efficient for sticking to the insect's body. In contrast, the round-elongated oblate shape in Oxalis barrelieri shows strategic differences in the transfer of varying pollen norms, such as echinate and scabrate. The results of this study can be a reference for butterfly researchers to provide an overview of the diversity of nectar-producing plant feed along with its morphological characteristics and non-nectar feed utilized by butterflies on the Sampe Marta Cave tourist route

Abstract

This research project aims to analyse the negotiation strategies employed by professional Master of Ceremonies (MCs) in the wedding industry in Indonesia. The study focuses on how MCs manage communication, build a professional image, and utilise social media and professional communities as part of their negotiation strategies. A qualitative approach was employed to collect data through in-depth interviews and participatory observation with three well-known MCs. The findings indicate that effective negotiation strategies in this context entail the utilization of framing techniques, flexible strategizing and the management of interpersonal relationships in a proficient manner. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that the professionalism of an MC is contingent upon not only their technical proficiency in event hosting, but also their capacity to cultivate and sustain a professional image through social media and active involvement in professional communities such as the Indonesian Wedding Host Association (HIPAPI). These MCs were able to enhance their negotiating position by showcasing an extensive portfolio of work on social media and developing a reputation through professional networks. This strategy not only augmented their credibility in the eyes of the client, but also facilitated the negotiation process by establishing robust initial trust. The findings substantiate that a combination of effective communication strategies, utilization of social media, and engagement in professional communities are pivotal to achieving mutually beneficial agreements in the Indonesian wedding industry.
