Abstract

This research is a development research (R&D) with the aim of producing an interactive mathematics learning media based on Articulate Storyline that meets the valid and practical requirements to assist grade IX students of SMP/MTs in understanding geometry transformation material and facilitating student learning independence. This development research uses the Borg and Gall development model which consists of ten stages, but in this study only reached stage seven, namely: (1) potential and problems; (2) data collection; (3) product design; (4) design validation; (5) design revision; (6) product trial; and (7) product revision. Researchers explore potentials and problems through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and literature studies. Learning media and guidebooks were validated by three validators. The instrument used was a learning media validation questionnaire and a learning media guide book validation questionnaire. The average value of learning media validation is 3.37 with a very valid category and the average value of guide book validation is 3.52 with a very valid category. The learning media was tested on six students of class IX SMP, the instruments used were student response questionnaires and student learning independence questionnaires. The product trial result was 0.96 with a very practical category and very well facilitated student learning independence of 84.33%.

Abstract

This research was done due to the problem found by teachers’ difficulty in developing learning instruments based on the 2013 curriculum. In connection with this, efforts are needed to assist teachers in providing learning instruments that are in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum. The learning instrument form of Syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), and Student Worksheets (LKPD). This research aimed to develop mathematics learning instruments. Related to learning management on the 2013 curriculum, one of the recommended learning models is Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. On this basis, the researcher conducted the development of learning instruments by using PBL models on the material sequence and series of class XI SMA/MA by using the 4-D development model. This research instrument used was the Syllabus, RPP, and LKPD sheets to assess the validity of the learning instrument. The results of validation data analysis obtained an average value of the syllabus is 3,76 with a very valid category, RPP is 3,78 with a very valid category and LKPD is 3,75 with a very valid category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Syllabus, RPP, and LKPD developed are suitable to use for trials in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher existence for the availability of mathematics learning instruments to support the learning process in the classroom according to the 2013 Curriculum. This research aims to produce a mathematical learning instruments based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to facilitate the mathematical problem solving ability of seventh grade students of junior high school valid and practical on counting operation of algebra form topic. The development model used in this study is the 4-D model which consists of four stages of development, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Learning tools that have been developed are validated by three validators and revised according to the suggestions of the validator. The average result of syllabus validation analysis is 3,89 by category very valid, RPP 3,83 by category very valid, and LAS 3,79 by category very valid. The results of this validation analysis indicate that the syllabus and RPP is worth to using. LAS that has been valid then tested in small groups with test subjects of 6 grade VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. The average result of the small group trial data analysis was 3,30 and categorized as very practical. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the learning instruments developed can facilitate students to develop their mathematical problem solving skills and are suitable for use as a learning resource for students in learning. Abstract

In conveying the concept of mathematics in a concrete manner so that it is easily accepted by participants in the mentally retarded education, tools/media are needed. One of the media developed in this study for mentally retarded students is Ceker media and space building media. This study aims to produce Ceker learning media on number material and spatial shapes on blocks and cubes for mild mental retardation students at SMPLB Pekanbaru that meet valid and practical criteria. The research method used is the Borg and Gall development model. Collecting validation data for the addition and subtraction of integer operation materials was carried out by providing validation sheets to three experts. Practical data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to SMPLB mental retardation students using a Likert scale . The learning media of Ceker and building spaces that have been validated by 3 validators are very valid with a percentage of 93,3. The development of learning media for Ceker cards and building space for mild mentally retarded students has met the very practical criteria with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that the learning media of Ceker and building spaces (blocks and cubes) for mild mental retardation students at SMPLB have met the criteria of being very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Developing the ability of absolute thinking is needed in mathematic class where the subject has a characteristic as a branch of science which the object of study is abstract-natured and related with a pattern of thinking. Basic mathematics is one of the courses that can develop student’s ability to think. The results acquired by the students are still not maximized; this is because the students struggle to develop their own knowledge to form concepts. Student’s activities in the learning process are only skill-natured in solving problems. One of the learning methods that can be implemented is the Modified Moore method. This research aims to discover the effects of mathematical thinking capabilities with the Modified Moore Method towards the learning achievement of Basic Mathematic II of Chemistry study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the even semester of 2013/2014 academic year. The form of this research is a quasiexperimental research. The experiment design used in this research is the Single Group Pretest/Posttest Design which includes Quasi Experimental Design without control group. The population in this research is the students of Chemistry study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the even semester of 2013/2014 academic year. The sample of this research is all students of Chemistry study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the even semester of 2013/2014 academic year consisting 36 peoples. The sample is obtained through purposive sampling technique. Based on data analysis using t test on mathematical thinking capabilities by applying modified Moore Method, it was found that students scores during post test is better than pre-test. The influences of mathematical thinking capabilities with modified Moore Method of the results learning mathematics basic II Chemistry Education in second semester academic year 2013/2014 is equal to 98,85%. It can be concluded that there is an influence on the mathematical thinking capabilities by applying Modified Moore Method towards the students learning achievement of Basic Mathematic II of Chemistry study program from the FKIP of Universitas Riau in the even semester of 2013/2014 academic year.

Abstract

Dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran di sekolah seorang guru hendaknya pandai memilih model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran. Serta bisa memberikan waktu lebih banyak untuk siswa berpikir, merespon dan saling membantu serta dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep materi pelajaran guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Salah satunya yaitu dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Square. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Square memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk bekerja di dalam kelompok heterogen baik dari segi kemampuan akademis, gender, latar belakang agama sosio-ekonomi dan etnik yang berbeda. Dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Square maka terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas SMAN 5 Pekanbaru semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 pada materi pokok Trigonometri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Square dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X3 SMAN 5 Pekanbaru pada materi pokok Trigonometri semester genap tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Hal itu dapat dibuktikan dari hasil observasi atau pengamatan secara langsung yang memperlihatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa dari sebelumnya ke siklus pertama dan siklus kedua. Pada mula-mula jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM berjumlah 6 10 siswa, setelah mengikuti proses siklus pertama jumlah yang mencapai KKM berjumlah 15 siswa dan pada siklus kedua jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM berjumlah 28 siswa dari total 32 siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Determine the implementation of curriculum 2013 in Mathematics on SMPN of Pekanbaru, the academic year 2016/2017. (2) Knowing what obstacles faced by Mathematics teachers SMPN of Pekanbaru in the implementation of kurikulm 2013. This study is a qualitative descriptive study, which describes the implementation of the curriculum 2013 by Mathematics teachers of SMPN Pekanbaru and the constraints they face. Subjects in this study are Mathematics teachers in SMPN Pekanbaru that implementing the curriculum 2013, such as SMP 1, SMP 6 and SMP 23 Pekanbaru. The data collection by conducting surveillance documents, and interviews with Mathematics teachers. Based on data analysis, learning process based curriculum 2013 in Pekanbaru SMP has not gone well. There are some problems in the implementation of the curriculum 2013 at SMPN Pekanbaru such as, (1) Teacher have a problem to making Student Activity Sheet; (2) Lack of teacher knowledge about models, strategies, or approach about student-centered learning; and (3) Lack of understanding about the assessment of teachers especially skills assessment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual pada materi segiempat dan segitiga yang valid dan praktis untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP/MTs. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE yg terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu Analysis (analisis), Design (desain), Development (pengembangan), Implementation (penerapan), dan  Evaluation (evaluasi). Berdasarkan hasil validasi diperoleh bahwa modul matematika yangg dikembangkan memenuhi syarat valid dengan rerata akhir validitas sebesar 3,43 dengan kategori sangat valid. Modul matematika yang telah dinyatakan valid selanjutnya diujicobakan pada 9 orang siswa kelas VII SMP/MTs. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba diperoleh modul matematika yang dikembangkan memenuhi syarat praktis oleh subjek uji coba dengan rerata akhir praktikalitas sebesar 3,62 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul matematika berbasis kontekstual pada materi segiempat dan segitiga untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP/MTs telah valid dan praktis dipergunakan pada proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Perangkat pembelajaran dapat ditentukan dengan cara guru bidang studi mengemas perangkat pembelajarannya, karena untuk mencapai tujuan dari pembelajaran yang salah satunya memfasilitasi KPMM merupakan fungsi dari perangkat pembelajaran dalam memandu proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran (Silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS)) matematika menerapkan model Problem Based Learning untuk memfasilitasi KPMM siswa pada materi persamaan kuadrat untuk dipakai siswa kelas IX SMP/MTs yang valid dan praktis merupakan tujuan penelitian ini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menerapkan model pengembangan 4-D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi silabus, RPP dan LAS serta menggunakan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini memperlihatkan bahwa silabus dan RPP yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria sangat valid diperoleh rata-rata silabus 91,32% dan RPP 89,21%. Sementara LAS yang dikembangkan valid dengan rata-rata LAS 79,40%. Selain itu, LAS memiliki kriteria sangat praktis diperoleh rata-rata LAS 94,90%.

Abstract

Guru harus mempersiapkan pembelajarannya agar dapat mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Persiapan yang dimaksud dapat berupa perencanaan pembelajran, bahan ajar atupun lembar erja yang baik sesuai materi yang akan diajarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi silabus, RPP dan LAS berbasis model discovery learning. Penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan model 4-D. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket validasi perangkat pembelajaran dan angket respon siswa terhadap LAS yang digunakan untuk melihat keparktisan LAS. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga orang ahli dan praktisi. Hasil uji validasi menunjukkan produk yang dikembangkan layak digunakan. LAS yang telah valid selanjutnya dilakukan ujicoba kelompok kecil. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah 12 siswa MTs Thamrin Yahya Rambah Hilir. Rata-rata skor respon siswa menyimpulkan perangkat pembelajaran mudah digunakan. Perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning layak dan mudah digunakan. Keefektivannya untuk materi bangun ruang sisi datar masih perlu diteliti
