Abstract

The development of digital technology provides new opportunities to improve the quality of mathematics learning, particularly in enhancing mathematical problem-solving skills. This research aims to analyze the forms of integration and types of digital technology utilized in mathematics learning and examine their impact on students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This research uses a systematic literature review method following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses stages. The article search process was conducted using the Publish or Perish application, taking into account predetermined inclusion criteria. The results show that various digital technologies, such as mathematics software, interactive digital learning media, and online learning applications, have an impact on improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Background Problems: The critical importance of maintaining physical fitness among high school students to mitigate the potential health hazards associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Research Objectives: This study aims to explore the impact of futsal and hadang extracurricular activities on adolescent cardiovascular and respiratory fitness. Methods: This research used an experimental study with pre-post design and control group. Ninety students from Serang City high schools were divided into three groups: Futsal Extracurricular, Hadang Extracurricular, and Control. Initial assessments established baseline fitness levels, followed by an 8-weeks program and post-program evaluations. Findings and Results: The results showed an increase in aerobic capacity and respiratory capacity after 8-weeks extracurricular program in both groups. The futsal extracurricular group experienced a higly significant increase aerobic capacity and respiratory capacity compared to the baseline. Meanwhile, the hadang extracurricular group experienced a significant increase aerobic capacity and respiratory capacity compared to the baseline. Conversely, the control group appears to exhibit a decline in both aerobic and respiratory capacities, although it is important to note that these changes did not reach statistical significance in our study. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study provided valuable insights into how futsal and hadang extracurricular activities impact adolescent cardiovascular and respiratory fitness. These findings were relevant for educators and policymakers, highlighting the role of extracurricular programs in enhancing students' overall well-being. Additionally, it contributes to our understanding of how specific activities can influence the cardiovascular and respiratory health of adolescents.

Abstract

This systematic literature review aims to analyze students' conceptual barriers in mathematics learning under the Kurikulum Merdeka framework. Using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 16 articles were selected from national and international databases based on inclusion criteria for junior and senior high school levels. The analysis reveals that conceptual barriers are dominated by three main types: ontogenic, epistemological, and didactical barriers. Although Kurikulum Merdeka emphasizes differentiated learning, it has not fully addressed these barriers due to a gap between curriculum design and classroom practice. This study recommends the development of didactical designs based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) and the integration of visual media and virtual manipulatives. These findings are expected to contribute to mathematics teachers' efforts in enhancing students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and synthesize findings from scientific publications regarding the implementation of differentiated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning and its relationship with students' mathematical literacy. The increasingly complex demands of the 21st century and Indonesia's persistently low PISA 2022 results ranking 68th out of 81 countries with a mathematics score of 366 underscore the urgency of innovative and responsive learning approaches. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses) protocol. Literature searches were conducted across five databases: Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and Garuda, covering the period 2023–2025. A total of 29 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic synthesis. The results indicate that differentiated STEM learning encompassing differentiation of content, process, product, and learning environment demonstrates a consistently positive effect on students' mathematical literacy across multiple indicators: mathematical reasoning, representation, problem-solving, and communication. Three key facilitating factors were identified: teacher competency in understanding students' learning profiles, integration of digital technology (e.g., GeoGebra), and project-based collaborative activities. Meanwhile, major challenges include inadequate teacher training in differentiating STEM instruction and limited instructional resources. This study concludes that differentiated STEM learning is a highly promising pedagogical approach for enhancing mathematical literacy, particularly for students in primary and secondary education. Recommendations are provided for practitioners and future researchers.
