Abstract

Teacher competence in developing learning module in the current implementation of the Independent Curriculum is very important because learning module determines the learning quality in the classroom. This School Action Research aimed to increase the competency of teachers at Kalam Kudus Christian Junior High School in developing learning module using Mentoring Method and TIRTa Model Coaching Methods, with three recipients who were teaching in grades VII and VIII. The researcher used learning modules as the assessed product and observed the teachers’ competence from both pedagogical and professional aspects. The result was very encouraging because it was found that: (1) the subjects got better understanding of the components in the learning module according to its standards; (2) the subjects were able to compose better quality of learning module; (3) the subjects’ pedagogical and professional competence increased; (4) The TIRTa model was very effective for mentoring and coaching since it built the subjects’ awareness of setting goals, identifying strengths and weaknesses, making action plans, and taking responsibility for their plans. This success was shown in the result that the competence of three subjects in the pre-cycle belonged to poor category (< 71), but of cycle I the two subjects got poor category and the other one got average category, and at the end of cycle II all of the subjects changed to good (81 -90).

Abstract

Conducting learning assessments is a teacher's activity aimed at collecting evidence of learning objective achievement. Teacher competence plays a crucial role in formulating learning assessments, ensuring they go beyond written tests alone. An action research was conducted with the objective of evaluating the use of the GROW-ME Coaching Model to enhance English teachers' competence in developing learning assessments. The research was carried out in two cycles, each involving four stages: Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. Coaching was conducted during the Implementation stage following the GROW-ME model, including Goal, Reality, Option, Will/What Next, Monitoring, and Evaluation. The research subjects were three English teachers at Masa Depan Cerah Christian Elementary School. The results of the research indicate that the use of the GROW-ME Coaching Model is effective in improving teacher competence in crafting learning assessments. By the end of the second cycle, two subjects achieved scores of 91 (Excellent), while one subject scored 80 (Good). Thus, all three subjects met the success criteria with a minimum score in the Good category.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of antecedents, such as psychological empowerment and intellectual capital, on various aspects of innovative work behavior, such as idea exploration, generation, championing, and implementation, and to examine the role of each dimension in mediating the impact on business performance. The study is particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to enhance their employees' innovative behavior and optimize their business performance. A quantitative research approach was used, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 254 SMEs in West Sumatra, Indonesia, both directly and through an online survey platform. The analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS to examine the influence and mediating role of the variables. The findings demonstrate that psychological empowerment and intellectual capital have a significant effect on each dimension of innovative work behavior, with psychological empowerment acting as an antecedent and innovative work behavior as a mediator for business performance. This study contributes to the existing literature on psychological empowerment, intellectual capital, innovative work behavior, and business performance and can aid governments in formulating policies to support SMEs in improving their business performance. Using a quantitative approach, this research involved 124 respondents who were PT PIB employees. The questionnaire was created based on indicators of the variables studied. Meanwhile, SmartPLS 4 is an application used in research data analysis techniques. The research results show a t-statistic value of 1.368 for the influence of talent management on job promotions, so talent management has no influence on job promotions. Then the t-statistic value for the influence of training and development on job promotion is 2.437, so training and development has a positive influence on job promotion. The t-statistic value is 2.307 for the influence of talent management on work performance, so talent management has a positive influence on employee performance. Then the t-statistic is 2.927 for the effect of training and development on employee performance, so training and development has a positive influence on employee performance. Employee performance positively mediates the influence of talent management on promotion, with a t-statistic value of 2.121. Furthermore, with a t-statistic value of 2.850, employee performance positively mediates the influence of training and development on job promotion. Employee performance, with a t-statistic value of 7.308, has a positive influence on job promotion, so employee performance has a positive influence on job promotion.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing competition in the healthcare sector, especially clinics, which requires effective strategies in retaining patients. Stagnation and decline in the number of patients in 2023 are challenges for RHC Clinic in maintaining the level of visits, which are influenced by service quality and price. Customer retention is a crucial factor for the sustainability of the clinic, considering that the cost of attracting new customers is higher than retaining existing ones. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of service quality and price on customer retention with customer satisfaction as the mediation. With a quantitative approach and purposive sampling method, this study involved 90 outpatient respondents at RHC Clinic, and data analysis was carried out using linear regression and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with WarpPLS 8.0 software. The results showed that service quality and price had a positive effect on customer satisfaction, which in turn had a positive effect on customer retention, with customer satisfaction as a significant mediating variable. These findings confirm that improving service quality and adjusting prices according to patient expectations play an important role in increasing patient satisfaction and retention. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to be a reference for RHC Clinic management in designing more optimal health service strategies to increase customer retention.

Abstract

Introduction: Academic Health Systems (AHS) integrate healthcare, education, and research to enhance medical training and patient care. However, initiating AHS in institutions without an existing framework presents challenges in aligning stakeholder expectations and organizational structures. Purpose: This study aims to initiate and establish an appropriate AHS model for Ukrida AHS through Project Management (PM) principles and highlight the importance of PM principles in healthcare organizations. Methods: A qualitative research design was employed using semi-structured interviews with six key stakeholders. Thematic analysis identified recurring patterns in stakeholder perceptions, expectations, and challenges regarding AHS implementation. Data triangulation through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) refined the findings. Results: The findings are categorized into three phases: Inquiry, which identified three key themes—stakeholder perceptions of their organization, understanding of AHS, and perceived benefits and challenges; Action, which translated these insights into concrete steps, including goal-setting, developing a Gantt chart, and an AHS model; and Reflection, which assessed the research process and emphasizing the benefits of using PM principles in healthcare organizations. Conclusion: Integrating PM with PAR facilitated AHS initiation at Ukrida, revealing benefits, challenges, and key priorities: leadership alignment, financial sustainability, faculty development, stakeholder collaboration, and data systems to ensure long-term success and scalability.
