Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of science education subjects at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru that are influenced by their level of religiosity and religious moderation. An experimental design is employed as the research methodology. A purposive sample technique was employed in this study's sampling. The study encompassed 100 participants, all students at the school. The data were analyzed using the SPSS tool in data analysis. The findings of the study indicate that students who receive instruction in religion moderation typically have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of their faith. The fact that students in the control group scored significantly higher than those in the study group is indicative of this. The results of this research indicate that there is a substantial relationship between students' science education and religion and religion. Parents' and students' knowledge, as well as the school's curriculum, are factors that affect religion and science education. Religious education has the power to mold the personalities of religiously moderate students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Participatory Observation learning model and students' responses to the learning model used in PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam/Islamic Education). It used qualitative and quantitative methods with a pre-test and post-test nonrandomized group pre-experiment design. The 125 participants who were taken from three public universities, were asked to fill out questionnaires and written interviews. The data were analysed using paired t-test and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that first experiment got a t-score of 6,798 with a significance of 0,000; t-table score at 51 degrees of freedom and a significant degree of 0.05 in the form of 2.032. Second experiment obtained a t-score of 5.991 with a significance of 0.000; the t-table score at 54 degrees of freedom and 0.05 degrees of significance was 2.046. Third experiment achieved a t-score of 6.424 with a significance of 0.000; the t-table score at 20 degrees of freedom and 0.05 degrees of significance was 2.054. When compared, t-score> t-table or significance score <0.05, which means that the mean score between pre-test and post-test is significantly different. This means that the Participatory Observation learning model can improve students' religious and social character in learning PAI. This result is in line with the respondents' recognition that they have experienced changes in their character in a positive direction. Students stated that the Participatory Observation learning model was fun and very useful, so that it could be used in PAI learning to improve students' character.

Abstract

Although there has been significant progress in women’s rights in recent decades, traditional gender roles remain deeply embedded in Indonesia and Türkiye, particularly in rural areas. This study investigates a real-world instance of how women contribute to Turkish decision-making. The theoretical framework examines how gender dynamics, state policies, and leadership styles affect governance results in rural areas by incorporating two primary theories: participatory feminism and intersectionality. The first female Muhtar (elected village head of Türkiye), Gül Esin, made a name for herself as a role model for women across Türkiye, which had a lasting impact on village administration. This historical perspective highlights the increasing recognition of women’s perspectives within the village administration. This study uses library research to analyze Gül Esin’s leadership, village governance, and gender studies in Indonesia and Türkiye. This study uses document analysis to investigate the conceptualization and application of women’s leadership within Indonesian village governance. The findings underscore the critical role of women’s participation in village decision-making processes and demonstrate how their leadership contributes to more inclusive and effective governance. The study also offers policy recommendations, advocating for gender-sensitive policies and intersectional assessments in village governance, with a focus on marginalized communities. The results provide valuable insights into measures that can be implemented in similar situations regarding how village-level governance can be maximized to enhance women’s empowerment, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assertiveness training module to prevent bullying in Islamic boarding schools, addressing the need for culturally relevant interventions. While existing programs offer general social skills training, few are tailored to the unique environment of pondok pesantren. The Research and Development (R&D) method was chosen for this study. This study followed the Borg & Gall development model modified and simplified from ten to seven steps. Data were collected using a validation questionnaire assessed by material experts, media experts, and prospective users (Musyrifah). The results of the study showed that the assertive training module was declared feasible in terms of content and media based on validation by media experts (77%) and materials (71%), with a score of the category "feasible." In the next step, a limited field trial involving seven participants resulted in 81.78%, categorized as "Very Feasible." These results indicate that the module is acceptable and relevant to the intended educational environment. A small trial group, typical of developing-country contexts, limited the study. Further large-scale testing is recommended. This study presents an innovative, context-specific tool for bullying prevention in Islamic boarding schools. It contributes to the limited literature on culturally tailored educational interventions and offers a foundation for future development and wider application.

Abstract

Imam Hatip schools have historically employed a unique role within Türkiye’s education system, positioned at the intersection of religious instruction and secular governmental policy. Originally established to prepare religious leaders, these institutions have evolved into diverse entities that provide both religious and general education, heavily influenced by changing political ideologies and educational reforms. This study explores the historical development and current function of Imam Hatip schools, with a particular focus on how political dynamics and state interventions influence their institutional identity. Using a qualitative approach, the research combines semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Primary data were collected from teachers, while secondary data included official documents, policy texts, and archival records. The case study of Imam Hatip Schools in Istanbul serves as the central focus, complemented by comparative references to other Imam Hatip schools. The findings suggest that the trajectory of these institutions is not solely determined by internal educational needs but is deeply intertwined with broader political narratives and the state's vision of Islamic education. This study concludes that Imam Hatip schools represent a contested and evolving space, where secularism, religious identity, and national policy continuously intersect. Their role in society remains dynamic, reflecting ongoing negotiations between tradition, modernity, and state control in Türkiye’s educational landscape.

Abstract

In order to lay the groundwork for religious moderation in Indonesia, this study uncovers the function and strategy of the Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) in Indonesia. In terms of stigma, attitudes, and conduct, Pesantren's role is crucial in ending the chain of radical schools of thought. Pesantren, particularly salaf pesantren (traditional pesantren), are acknowledged as being among the oldest educational institutions that are rooted in local knowledge as well as the Indonesian culture. Pesantren Lirboyo Kediri is one of salaf pesantren that has scientifically constructed religious moderation from the past to the present. By using descriptive qualitative research approached institutionally normatively, data was collected through interviews and documentation. This research revealed that the construction of Islamic moderation which is built through the concept of an integrative curriculum at Pesantren Lirboyo Kediri is based on the salafiyah and ahlussunnah wa al-jamaah traditions. The curriculum in question is not only about presenting the material, but also learning methods and daily intra and extracurricular activities (adjustment, habituation, moderation). The dissemination of Islamic moderation at Pesantren Lirboyo Kediri is patterned on learning methods, student habituation and Islamic Boarding Schools activities such as bahtsul masail.

Abstract

Green financial crimes are a serious threat to Indonesia's sustainable development initiatives. This research examines the ways in which financial operations affecting environmental sustainability might be regulated by constitutional legislation, preventing digital innovation from undermining environmental conservation initiatives. In order to better understand how these components, interact and how legal frameworks must change to meet these problems, this study examined the convergence of digital financial systems, green financial crimes, and Indonesian constitutional law, with a particular emphasis on precedent-setting cases. This research explores how the theory of environmental justice shapes the legal discourse on digitalization and green financial crime, and examines how Indonesian green legislation addresses the challenges posed by such crimes. This research uses qualitative techniques to analyze Indonesia's constitutional law, financial and environmental regulations, and judicial rulings. The study compares Indonesia's approach to environmental crimes using various technique with other countries policies and identifies areas for reform. The findings of this research highlight the urgency of uncovering contextual challenges that must be addressed, including the increasing use of digital platforms to anticipate green financial crimes, particularly in areas such as deforestation and environmental exploitation, through the proposal of green legislation. The present analysis underscores the necessity for Indonesia to adapt its legal and regulatory frameworks in order to tackle the environmental protection concerns brought about by the digital economy.
