Abstract

The digital era requires students to master scientific literacy to be able to evaluate information and make evidence-based decisions. However, the level of scientific literacy of students in Indonesia is still relatively low, as shown in the latest PISA assessment. This study aims to diagnose the scientific literacy profile of high school students in Pamekasan Regency, Indonesia, as a basis for developing context-based learning. This study used a survey method combined with diagnostic analysis. Data were collected from 114 grade X students of SMAN 1 Pademawu through a scientific literacy test adapted from the PISA 2025 competency framework and has been validated. The test measures three leading indicators: explaining phenomena scientifically, evaluating scientific investigations, and using scientific evidence for decision-making and action. The test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions presented online. In addition, interviews with students and science teachers were conducted to understand the learning conditions. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that students scientific literacy level was generally low, with the highest score explaining scientific phenomena and the lowest score in using scientific information for decision-making. These findings emphasize the need to develop a learning model that integrates technology and contextual approaches to improve students' scientific reasoning abilities. Thus, this diagnostic profile provides an important overview for developing effective and relevant science learning strategies according to global standards in today's digital era

Abstract

Abstrak Kurikulum Merdeka bertujuan menyesuaikan pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan peserta didik agar lebih optimal dalam memahami konsep dan menguatkan kompetensi, seperti keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui literasi sains. Dalam pembelajaran biologi, literasi sains melatih peserta didik berpikir kritis untuk memahami fenomena alam dan memecahkan masalah, salah satunya melalui materi Sistem Ekskresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD Literasi Sains untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI pada materi Sistem Ekskresi yang layak berdasarkan validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). E-LKPD yang dikembangkan dilakukan uji coba terbatas pada 35 peserta didik. Validitas E-LKPD diperoleh dari validasi para ahli dan guru biologi menggunakan lembar instrumen validasi, kepraktisan E-LKPD diperoleh dari observasi keterlaksanaan aktivitas peserta didik dan respon peserta didik. Keefektifan E-LKPD diperoleh dari hasil belajar dan ketercapaian indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan E-LKPD yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dengan skor kelayakan isi 96,51%, penyajian 97,58%, dan kebahasaan 95,31%. Kepraktisan berdasarkan keterlaksanaan aktivitas peserta didik sebesar 97,5% dan respons peserta didik sebesar 98%. Keefektifan E-LKPD berdasarkan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 88,50% dan ketercapaian indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis, mendapatkan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,74 (tinggi). Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD valid, praktis, dan efektif, sehingga layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using case study-based student worksheets to train students' problem-solving skills. This research is an experimental research with a one group pre-test ¬post-test design. The research subjects were 26 Agribusiness Animal Husbandry students, class IB, Semester 1. The research instrument is a test of student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques are carried out using tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the non-parametric Wilcoxon statistical test. The research results showed that 26 students obtained pre-test learning outcomes of 3.4 and post-test 3.8, meaning there was an increase in student learning outcomes after the treatment, by 0.4 or 40%. The n-gain value of problem-solving skills for students as a whole was obtained on average 0.6 which is included in the medium category. There is an influence between the pre-test and post-test learning outcomes of the BSF maggot production and reproduction biotechnology course material on BSF maggot animal development structure material for IB livestock agribusiness students.

Abstract

The higher-order thinking skills of teachers and pre-service teachers can affect students' low scientific literacy. The purpose of this service is to strengthen insight and skills in designing learning and compiling questions on higher-order thinking skills and scientific literacy for science subjects in junior high schools. The specific objectives are to increase teachers' insight into HOTS and scientific literacy, to train teachers' skills in developing lesson plans that facilitate the growth of HOTS and scientific literacy, and to train teachers' skills in preparing assessment instruments. The activity was carried out face-to-face and was attended by 20 science teachers at state junior high schools in Nganjuk Regency. The training has produced products in the form of lesson plans, student activity sheets, and HOTS assessment instruments developed by the target teachers.

Abstract

Developing integrated learning assessment model for junior high school students. Objective: This study aims to produce a valid and practical assessment model for integrated learning at the junior high school level. Method: This research is development research. Research respondents came from 6 junior high schools in Surabaya with a total of 211 students. The instruments used are validation sheets, observation sheets, and questionnaires. Findings: The results showed that (1) the developed assessment model and instrument were in the valid category, both in construction and in substance; (2) Practical, appropriate and able to be applied in integrated learning in junior high schools; (3) The test results show that the competence of knowledge-understanding and application is relatively high. Conclusion: The developed assessment models and instruments are feasible to be applied in integrated learning and are found to be more interesting, fun, and useful for junior high school students. Keywords: developing, assessment model, integrated learning, junior high school.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202221

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum yang tergolong baru dan tidak ada pendampingan yang selama ini diberikan kepada guru untuk menyusun modul ajar berbasis P5. Tidak adanya pendampingan yang memadai bagi guru dalam menyusun modul ajar berbasis P5 menjadi salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan ketidakpahaman guru dalam menyusun modul dengan benar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini menilai efektifitas model berbasis Collaborative Project Based Learning (CPBL Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk menggali data secara mendalam tentang pengalaman guru selama workshop. Diperoleh hasil dari kolaborasi penyusunan modul ajar yang disusun oleh guru mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia, kimia dan biologi menujukkan karakteristik khusus. Hal ini menunjukkan penguatan keilmuan yang di cantumkan dalam modul ajar sehingga pembelajaran lebih bermaknsa dan peserta didik mampu mengintegrasikan keilmuan dengan proses penyelesaian di kehidupan nyata. Hasil respon menunjukkan bahwa Workshop pengembangan modul ajar berbasis proyek pelajar pancasila hadir sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun modul yang efektif dan relevan yang ditunjukkan pada hasil kuisioner pengukuran tingkat kolaborasi berada pada kategori tinggi-sangat tinggi. Melalui workshop ini guru tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman teoritis namun dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi guru. Saran dari kegiatan ini adalah dilanjutkan dengan adanya pengamatan impelemtasi modul ajar dikelas dan dilakukan penilaian terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah guru di kelas.

Abstract

Hasil belajar biologi rendah terjadi pada siswa SMA kelas X. Hal tersebut terjadi karena pembelajaran menggunakan buku tidak menarik perhatian siswa. Upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang menarik, praktis dan ringkas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran prezi materi Kingdom Plantae yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu model pengembangan 4-D (define, design, develop, dan desseminate). Parameter penelitian ini yaitu nilai hasil validitas, hasil observasi aktivitas pembelajaran siswa menggunakan media pembelajaran prezi, hasil respons siswa, nilai N-Gain dan hasil observasi sikap mandiri. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 peserta didik kelas X SMA Al-Huda Tuban. Instrumen penelitian berupa penilaian validasi, observasi aktivitas siswa dan sikap mandiri, angket respons siswa, dan pretest-posttest. Indikator sikap mandiri yang diamati yaitu percaya diri, tidak bergantung pada orang lain, disiplin, inisiatif, kontrol diri, dan bertanggung jawab. Data dianalisis dengan statistic sederhana berupa rata-rata dan presentase. Hasil penelitian ini berupa nilai uji validitas media pembelajaran prezi sebesar 99% dengan kategori sangat valid, rata-rata hasil observasi aktivitas siswa 96,15% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan rata-rata hasil respons siswa sebesar 97% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Media pembelajaran prezi materi Kingdom Plantae terbukti efektif ditunjukkan dengan hasil nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,74 dengan kategori sangat tinggi dan hasil observasi sikap mandiri siswa sebesar 97,08% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Media pembelajaran prezi pada materi Kingdom Plantae layak dari segi validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan sebagai media pembelajaran Biologi kelas X SMA.

Abstract

Objective: Able to face global challenges. One approach that has garnered attention is problem-based learning, considered capable of enhancing students' scientific literacy. This article aims to design and analyze the improvement of scientific literacy through problem-based learning methods. Method: The method employed in this research is a literature review. Results: The analysis revealed that PBL significantly improves students' scientific literacy skills. N-Gain values indicated moderate to high gains, and t-test results showed significance values below 0.05, confirming a substantial increase in scientific literacy after PBL implementation. Novelty: This article provides a comprehensive evaluation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in enhancing scientific literacy. Analyzing 15 selected studies, it shows significant improvements in students' scientific literacy skills, supported by N-Gain values and t-test results. The review highlights PBL's effectiveness, including the integration of technology, and offers robust evidence of its positive impact on students' ability to understand and apply scientific information, thus enriching the literature on effective teaching strategies.

Abstract

Background: Considering the significant impact of Technological Knowledge (TK), Content Knowledge (CK), and Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) modeling on teachers' ability to improve quality learning, practical preparation in the form of training for science teachers aims to prepare the application of TPACK quality in more effective learning. This effort is also a form of support for Indonesia-Malaysia cooperation in implementing internationalization programs. Method: Through the steps of needs analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, these findings reveal that Malaysian SIKL teachers have a good understanding of TPACK after the implementation of the training. It can be seen from the learning tools that have been developed that they have integrated TPACK in the learning tools, although they still need to be improved. Result: Especially in the aspect of teachers not being optimal in following developments in learning technology. Conclusion: The evaluation notes from this research provide recommendations for future research to promote sustainable teacher training programs to truly be able to create appropriate TPACK-based learning demands in the 21st century era.
