Abstract

Objective: Critical thinking skills are one of the 21st-century skills that must be possessed by students in order to be able to adapt and compete on a global scale. This study aims to describe the profile of students' critical thinking skills and the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) models assisted by digital worksheets to improve students' critical thinking skills In Learning Science On Motion And Force Materials. Method: The research design is quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 102 students at SMPN 4 Waru with a simple random sampling method. Critical thinking skills tests are analyzed per indicator, which consists of giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, giving advanced explanations, and setting strategies and tactics. Results: Based on the results of the analysis, it was obtained that the average proportion of students' thinking skills was in the low category. The indicator that gets the highest percentage is giving a simple explanation at the lowest indicator is setting strategy and tactics. Several factors cause this: learning rarely leads students to train and improve their critical thinking skills, the evaluation instruments used primarily using low cognitive tests, and the learning loss factor students experience while studying at home due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Novelty: Based on several research sources, it was concluded that applying the PBL model assisted by digital worksheets could effectively improve students' critical thinking skills in science learning.

Abstract

Objective: This study describes the validity of inquiry-based environmental change textbooks used to train students' scientific literacy skills. The validity of the developed inquiry-based textbooks is viewed from the aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, linguistic feasibility, inquiry suitability, and scientific literacy. Method: This study used the development method with the 4D model (define, design, and develop), which was modified and implemented in the Science Education Postgraduate Program at Surabaya State University. The data collection technique was carried out using the textbook validation method. The assessment instrument used was a textbook validation sheet that two biology lecturers validated as validators. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and descriptively. Results: The research results are in the form of validation of inquiry-based textbooks, with an average score of 94.88% in the very valid category. Novelty: The novelty of this research is that there are inquiry-based features in textbooks about environmental change that can improve students' scientific literacy skills. Based on the data analysis, the developed inquiry-based textbooks are valid and suitable for learning.

Abstract

Abstact. This research aims was to produce a decent learning device IPA (valid, practical, and effective) to complete the learning outcomes in human circulatory system material. To achieve these objectives, the authors developed a learning device that consists of a syllabus, lesson plans, worksheet, Instructional Materials for Students and Student Assessment Instrument using 4-D model of development.This learning device validated and revised before it tested on twenty five students of eight grader of SMP Negeri 2 Losari Brebes with one group pretest-posttest design. In analyzing data, this study used observation, test, and questionnaire. The technique of analyzing data used descriptive qualitative and quantitative design. The result of the study showed that first, the learning device was valid. Second, teaching and learning activity done well. Third, learning outcome was 100% complete. Fourth, students gave positive response with excellent category. Based on the findings, it could be concluded that the learning device for science subject with guided discovery based had been valid, practical, and effective it could be used to complete the learning outcomes of students.Keywords: development of learning device, guided discovery, human circulatory system, completing the learning outcomes. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif) untuk menuntaskan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem peredaran darah manusia. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penulis mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri atas Silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa, Bahan Ajar Siswa dan Instrumen Penilaian Siswa dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D. Perangkat hasil pengembangan yang telah divalidasi dan direvisi, kemudian diujicobakan pada 25 orang siswa Kelas VIII H SMPN 2 Losari Brebes dengan menggunakan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest. Pengumpulan data menggunakan validasi, observasi, tes dan angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perangkat yang dikembangkan valid; (2) Pembelajaran terlaksana dengan kategori baik; (3) Hasil belajar menunjukkan 100% tuntas, (4) Siswa memberikan respon positif dengan kategori sangat baik terhadap pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis guided discovery yang telah dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan untuk menuntaskan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Objective: This research aims to produce an e-book based on local wisdom on the use of medicinal plants by the people around Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park on plantae material to train students' creative thinking skills. Method: The research uses the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data retrieval through a validation process by three validators, namely education experts, material experts, and biology teachers, practicality through readability tests. Results: The results of the e-book validation get an average high score with very valid criteria. The practicality of the e-book is measured based on the readability test. The readability test results show the readability level at level 10 so that it is suitable for use by grade X students. Novelty: Students' creative thinking skills can be trained by integrating local wisdom with various learning media such as books, modules, and student worksheets, both printed and electronic.

Abstract

Abstract. This research purposed to produce science learning materials that eligible to complete student learning achievement at junior high school of the System of Excretion materials. The development of this learning tool based on Dick and Carey model and the using test based One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The test conducted in eighth grade student of SMP Negeri 16 Poleang Tengah. This research consisted of two stages: 1) Developing the learning materials consisted of lesson plan, student’s book, and student’s worksheet, and learning achievement test validated by experts. 2) Implementation of the validated learning materials which instrument that used in this research are validation sheet, observational sheet of learning accomplishment, the learning constraints, observational sheet of student’s activity, and Student’s response questionnaire. The result showed that: 1) The learning materials were valid; 2) the lesson plan accomplishment was categorized as good; 3) The student activities indicated that they learn to actively build their own knowledge through a process of inquiry; 4) The students responded positively to the learning process; 5) The student’s learning achievements of attitude, knowledge, and skill aspects were accomplished. Based on the following results can be concluded that the science learning materials based on guided inquiry with a project task on Excretion of System were valid, practical, and effective. Thus the science learning materials can be used on the learning process and proofed to be effective to complete student’s learning achievement.Keywords: Guided inquiry, project task, completeness of student’s, excretion system.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan handout perkuliahan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang valid, mudah dilaksanakan, dan efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan merencanakan pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa. Perangkat perkuliahan yang dikembangkan dapat dipergunakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan mutu perkuliahan pembelajaran inovatif II. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Secara prinsip pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini menerapkan empat tahap pengembangan yang disebut Model 4-D atau Four –D Model, yaitu tahap pendifinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan pendisiminasian (dessiminate). Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan perangkat perkuliahan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif. Produk utama yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini adalah Perangkat perkuliahan berupa handout, mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan perencanaan pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa handout tipe-tipe pembelajaran kooperatif yang dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Hasil uji validitas oleh ahli dan mahasiswa menunjukkan hasil bahwa handout ini layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan sebagai perangkat perkuliahan acuan penyusunan RPP. Keunggulan handout ini adalah dapat menambah wawasan mahasiswa dalam menyusun RPP karena dilengkapi dengan contoh implementasi dalam pembelajaran dan menarik minat baca.

Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan serta teknologi yang terus berkembang telah mengantarkan global pada Era baru yaitu Era Society 5.0. Hal tersebut memiliki dampak pada berbagai bidang kehidupan, tak terkecuali bidang pendidikan. Kemampuan bioentrepreneurship merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki peserta didik untuk menghadapi Era Society 5.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik (E-LKPD) pada materi bioteknologi konvensional untuk melatihkan kemampuan indikator bioentrepreneurship peserta didik kelas X SMA. Efektivitas yang didapatkan dari uji coba skala terbatas untuk didapatkan skor N-Gain dan uji sensitivitas. Metode penelitian menggunakan skor N-Gain yang menunjukkan ada tidaknya peningkatan nilai tes kemampuan bioentrepreneurship pretest ke posttes pada tiap indikator kemampuan bioentrepreneurship yang meliputi exploring, planning, producting, communicating, dan evaluating/reflecting. Metode penelitian ini juga menggunakan uji sensitivitas pada tiap butir soal tes yang mengandung indikator kemampuan bioentrepreneurship. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai tes kemampuan bioentrepreneurship dari pretest dan posttest pada tiap indikator dan bernilai efektif. Skor rata-rata N-Gain mendapatkan angka 0,63 dengan kategori interpretasi sedang dan tiap butir soal mendapat kategori sensitive. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa E-LKPD materi bioteknologi konvensional yang dikembangkan mampu melatihkan kemampuan bioentrepreneurship peserta didik.

Abstract

Literasi sains adalah satu keterampilan yang harus dikuasai pada abad 21. Berdasarkan hasil asesmen pisa, literasi sains di Indonesia masih masuk dalam kategori rendah. Salah satu pembelajaran yang bisa digunakan dalam melatihkan literasi sains adalah Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). STEM diintegrasikan dengan bahan ajar agar lebih memudahkan pembelajaran. Flipbook merupakan format buku digital yang dirancang dengan berbagai fitur untuk mendukung peningkatkan literasi sains. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian untuk mengembangkan flipbook berbasis STEM pada materi sistem pernapasan untuk melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengacu pada model 4-D, yang meliputi tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa flipbook yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan, dengan tingkat validitas mencapai 94,78%, yang dikategorikan sebagai sangat valid. Hasil angket respons pengguna menunjukkan tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 97,31%, yang menunjukkan bahwa flipbook ini sangat praktis. Keefektifan flipbook diukur berdasarkan peningkatan n-Gain, dengan skor 0,84 yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa flipbook berbasis STEM pada materi sistem pernapasan yang dikembangkan terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMA bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa E-LKPD yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Pada tahap implementasi dilakukan uji coba terbatas kepada 20 peserta didik kelas XII SMA di Surabaya. Adapun parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, berupa validitas E-LKPD, kepraktisan E-LKPD berdasarkan aktivitas peserta didik dan respon peserta didik selama penggunaan E-LKPD dalam pembelajaran, serta efektivitas yang ditinjau dari ketuntasan indikator berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada hasil tes. Data yang diperoleh dijelaskan secara deskriptif kuantatif. Validitas E-LKPD memperoleh nilai sebesar 90,64 % dengan kriteria sangat valid. Kepraktisan E-LKPD berdasarkan aktivitas peserta didik mendapat nilai 3 dengan kriteria cukup dan respon positif peserta didik sebesar 97,14% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Efektivitas E-LKPD diperoleh melalui ketuntasan indikator berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam tes yang memperoleh nilai sebesar 82,9% dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat efektif.

Abstract

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach to learning plays an important role in improving teacher competency, learning innovation, and technology use skills. However, the results of an initial survey at Sekolah Indonesia Makkah showed that 44.12% of teachers faced challenges in the form of a lack of training and understanding related to STEM integration. This study involved 34 teachers and aimed to improve their ability to implement STEM-based learning through the Collaborative Professional Development (CPD) approach. The results showed that teachers who participated in CPD activities experienced a significant increase in their understanding and readiness to implement STEM. In addition, teachers began to realize the benefits of STEM learning in developing students' affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects, as well as its potential as a means of career guidance. As many as 52.94% of teachers stated that they strongly believed that STEM was important to implement, and 58.82% considered the CPD program to be continued. This study recommends that CPD training be carried out continuously with more applicable and contextual materials. Strengthening collaboration between teachers and the integration of STEM-based curriculum is also needed to support the sustainability and effectiveness of the program in the long term.
