Abstract

Abstract: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in the absorption of manpower, income distribution and improving people's welfare. One of MSMEs in Pekanbaru City is UMKM Berkah. In 2016 UMKM Berkah decreased the amount of production. This research aims to formulate an appropriate development strategy alternative to be applied to UMKM Berkah Pekanbaru City. The subject of the research is the pastry that sold in UMKM Berkah. Data analysis tools were performed using IFAS matrix analysis, EFAS matrix, SWOT matrix, IE matrix and SWOT quadrant. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the strength is the division of task is good enough, the availability of sufficient raw materials, packaging attractive products and have halal certificate and permit by public health office. The main disadvantage of this bussines is the market share is not yet widespread, while the chances are the habit of consumptive society, and the main threat is the product is easily imitated. There are seven alternative generated strategies, two S-O strategies, one S-T strategy, two W-O strategies and two W-T strategies. The main alternative strategy generated is the S-O strategy that is, by expanding the market to increase sales volume and develop inter-message facilities.Keywords: Development Strategy, SWOT Analysis, UMKM Berkah

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the factors that influence credit decision making for members of the Kusuma Bakti KUD Sialang Kubang Village. This research was conducted in the village of Sialang Kubang which is located in Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Kiri Regency. With a sample of 154 members using the Slovin formula. The research instrument used was a questionnaire using descriptive data analysis and multiple regression with the help of SPSS Version 20 software. Descriptive analysis results show the quality of service, credit procedures included in the good category, while the perception of high interest rates included in the very good category. Multiple linear regression analysis found that service quality, credit procedures, and perceptions of interest rates had a positive effect on credit decision making with a contribution of 63.6%. The results found a positive influence between service quality on credit decision making by 0.340 and there was a positive relationship between credit procedures on credit decision making by 0.252 and there was a positive influence between perceptions of interest rates on credit decision making by 0.545. The variable that has a greater influence on credit decision making is the interest rate perspective. The recommendations in this study are so that the number of members taking credit can be increased. There are several ways needed to improve member credit collection, namely by improving the quality of service and lowering interest rates, and credit procedures should not be too complicated so as to facilitate customers in conducting credit loan activities.Key Words: Service Quality, Credit Procedures, Perception Of Interest Rates, Credit Decision Making

Abstract

Abstract : This research was conducted with the aim to find out the influence of learning facilities against the learning outcomes of students of class X and XI IIS IIS on economic subjects in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The population in this research is the whole grade X and XI IIS IIS as many as 120 students and a sample that will be scrutinized as much as 55 students. Data collection using observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using linear regression analysis. The results showed that the learning facility influence on the results of the study. The influence of learning facilities at the school against results of a study of 0.686 and influence home study facilities against the learning outcomes of 1.050. The simultaneous learning facility influence on student learning outcomes with the determination of 45.5%.Keywords: Learning Facilities at school, Learning Facilities at Home, the results of the Study

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid retail business in Pekanbaru makes competition between retail increasingly increased. One way to do to pull consumers by way of promotion sale in the figure. The promotion of the sale in the store will make the impulse buying of consumers more easily formed. This research aims to determine the effect of price discounts, bonus packs, and sales promotion on impulse buying. The population of this research were all Giant Pekanbaru consumers in 2019. samples of 100 respondents were taken using the Slovin formula with the accidental sampling method. Data is collected using a questionnaire, then analyzed by a multiple linear regression method. Based on the research, the results show that price discounts, bonus packs, and sales promotion have a significant effect on impulse buying. The variable that has the greatest regression coefficient is the bonus pack. That is, impulse buying is more influenced by variable X2 (bonus pack) compared to other variables. The better the bonus pack that is applied or given, the more impulse buying increases.Key Words: Price Discount, Bonus Pack, Sales Promotion, and Impulse Buying

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of financial performance and disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the value of the mining sector companies. The research object is all mining sector companies, but based on the completeness of the data, only 12 companies were sampled with the observation period from 2016 to 2018. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that financial performance and CSR disclosure have a positive effect on the value of the mining sector companies either simultaneously or partially. This shows that financial performance and CSR disclosure can increase firm value. This means that the higher the financial performance and CSR disclosure the higher the value of the mining sector companies.Key Words: Financial Performance, Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure, and Firm Value.

Abstract

Abstract: Education is very important in the lives of every individual. Education is closely related to learning activities. One of the factors that influence learning activities is the interest in learning. Therefore, students' learning interests must be increased through the use of appropriate learning media to become a learning resource. The learning medium is internet media. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between the use of the internet as a learning resource and the interest in studying economics education students of Riau University. The data required in this study is primary data collected by questionnaire or questionnaire. The research population is all students of Economic Education class of 2017 and 2018 Riau University as many as 157 students. Samples were taken by 113 students with simple random techniques. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the use of the internet as a learning resource and the interest in learning. The amount of internet utilization relationship as a learning resource with learning interests 0.649 with a sig of 0.000 < 0.05. This means the high low utilization of the internet as a learning resource has an impact on learning interests. The higher the use of the internet as a learning resource, the higher the interest in learning students.Key Words: Internet Utilization, Learning Resources, Learning Interests.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the effect of product innovation on purchasing decisions for rattan handicraft products in Pekanbaru City. This research method uses descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were consumers of rattan handicrafts in Pekanbaru City. The sampling technique was accidental sampling with a sample of 52 people taken from 26 rattan crafts in Pekanbaru City. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that product innovation had an effect on purchasing decisions for rattan handicrafts in Pekanbaru City by 41.8%. Rattan craftsmen in Pekanbaru City should improve product innovation by adding new accessories in terms of shapes, colors and accessories that attract attention so that consumers do not feel bored, provide product guarantees so that they can increase consumer purchasing power and pay attention to product selling prices so that consumers feel that the prices are affordable and get market share in accordance with the products offered.Key Words: Purchase decision, product innovation

Abstract

Entrepreneurial character is something related to the characteristics of a person's behaviour, character, habits, attitudes and actions in carrying out daily activities both in the academic world, business and dare to take risks to achieve success. This study aims to analyse the effect of entrepreneurship education and family environment on the entrepreneurial character of students in SMPN Pekanbaru City. The population in this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 2 and 18 Pekanbaru City. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The sample size was 189 students, namely 79 respondents from SMPN 2 and 110 respondents from SMPN 18 Pekanbaru City. Data were collected from the results of the questionnaire while the data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed the influence of entrepreneurship education and family environment simultaneously and partially on the entrepreneurial character of students in social studies economic subjects at SMPN Pekanbaru City. Entrepreneurship education forms a mindset, attitude and behaviour that does not give up easily in the face of challenges, so that to form an entrepreneurial character in students it is necessary to take entrepreneurship education. This condition will be better if the family from the beginning teaches the values of independence, honesty and perseverance. This will make the entrepreneurial character of a child stronger so that later it will be ready to face future challenges.

Abstract

Study habits are student learning behaviours that are formed from the process of learning and observing the surrounding environment both at home and at school. This study aims to analyse the factors that influence students' study habits in the Disruption Era. The population in the study of students majoring in social studies SMAN 14 Pekanbaru City. The sampling technique was random sampling. The sample size was 182 students. Data was collected by questionnaire. Data analysis technique Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that the factors that influence students' study habits are factors of parental attention, interest in learning, and learning motivation. Therefore, children as students must get sufficient and directed attention from their parents. The existence of attention can lead to many positive emotional responses including the emergence of interest and motivation to learn in children as well as being able to form better study habits patterns in children in the Disruption Era. Rooted from that, it will also have an impact on the achievement of good learning outcomes in children at school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of entrepreneurial characteristics and the external environment on the success of the Tampan District makanan ringan micro business in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. MSMEs, especially micro businesses, are threatened with closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has not only damaged the health sector but the Indonesian and even the world's economic sector. This research was conducted on 71 makanan ringan micro entrepreneurs in Tampan District with quantitative research methods and analyzed using descriptive analysis, Multiple Linear Regression and Hypothesis Testing. From this study, it was found that entrepreneurial characteristics and the external environment had a positive effect on the success of the Tampan District makanan ringan micro business in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic.
