Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of promotions and prices on repeat purchase intention of consumers on the Gofood application. The study population consists of active undergraduate students from the 2021-2023 cohort of the Social Studies Education Department at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, who have made at least three purchases on the Gofood application, with a sample of 59 students. The sample was selected using proportional random sampling and the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results show that promotions on the Gofood application are categorized as excellent, prices are affordable, and the repeat purchase intention of consumers is high. Both promotion and price have a simultaneous effect on repeat purchase intention. Individually, promotion has a positive and significant effect, as does price. The contribution of promotion and price to repeat purchase intention is 40.5%, while the remaining 59.5% is influenced by other variables not included in the regression, such as product ratings, app usability, service quality, website quality, brand image, and product quality.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are a crucial aspect of any learning process. Various factors, both internal and external, can affect student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyse the effect of teacher teaching style, learning environment, and interest in learning on motivation and learning outcomes of students in grades X, XI, and XII at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun and SMA Negeri 1 Sosa. The research was conducted from February to June 2023 with a descriptive quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used included questionnaires and documentation. A total of 90 students were selected as respondents through simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that directly, the teacher's teaching style, learning environment, and learning interest affect learning outcomes through the mediating role of learning motivation. However, learning motivation does not have a direct effect on learning outcomes. Learning environment and learning interest were shown to influence learning outcomes through increasing learning motivation. This finding indicates that the right teacher teaching style that suits students' needs, a conducive learning environment, and high interest in learning can increase learning motivation, which in turn has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of improving the quality of teachers' teaching styles, creating a supportive learning environment, and developing students' interest in learning as strategies to encourage motivation and achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

Palolo district in Sigi regency has great potential in developing maize production as part of efforts to realize regional food self-sufficiency. However, increasing maize production in this area faces various challenges, including land limitations, climate change, and access to technology and markets. The study aims to determine the potential for increasing maize production based on the support of internal and external factors in Palolo district, Sigi regency. Sampling was done with a purposive sampling technique where members were selected intentionally, namely on the potential for increasing corn production in Palolo District, by tracing the population sampled by as many as 26 sample corn farmers. The data analysis used is SWOT analysis. The results of the research show that the potential for increasing maize production in Palolo district is supported by internal factors, among others: the existence of human resources in maize farming, the existence of superior seeds from the government, the increase in maize production, the existence of fertilizer subsidies, spray assistance from the government, and the direction of extension workers to farmers. External factors, such as the development of agricultural technology, the local government's support for maize farming, the increasing market demand for food, the availability of affordable facilities and infrastructure, and farmers' understanding of maize farming, also support this potential.

Abstract

The readiness of students to assume the role of educators remains an issue, as not all prospective teachers receive adequate support from their environment and practical experiences. This condition creates a gap between the demands of teacher professionalism and the actual preparedness of students pursuing a teaching career. The primary aim of this study is to critically analyze the factors influencing students’ readiness to become educators and to evaluate the mediating role of self-efficacy in these relationships. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. The research subjects consisted of 93 economics education students who had completed teaching practice, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire constructed from indicators of family environment, field teaching practice, professional teacher perception, self-efficacy, and teacher readiness. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability prior to data collection. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results revealed that the family environment, field teaching practice, professional teacher perception, and self-efficacy significantly and positively influence students’ readiness to become educators. These findings confirm that the synergy between internal and external factors is essential in shaping professional teacher readiness. In conclusion, teacher readiness is formed through the integration of family support, practical experiences, positive perceptions, and students’ self-efficacy.
