Abstract

Abstract : Learning presentation media as a tool used to convey learning messages by educators to students. This study aims to develop a Prezi-based presentation media on the human circulatory system material to train critical thinking for class XI high school students. The development of Prezi media was carried out using the ADDIE model until the development stage. on the aspects of media and materials using a validation sheet Prezi-based presentation media obtained an average value of 3.84 with a very valid category. These results show that Prezi-based presentation media on the human circulatory system material developed is very valid with very good quality as a learning medium for class XI high school students The use of Prezi-based presentation media as a learning medium in the material of the human circulatory system class XI SMA can be implemented on a wide scale and can also be redeveloped in the media aspect (software) and in learning materials other biology.Key Words: Prezi media, human circulatory system material, critical thinking

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of validity of students' worksheets (LKPD) based on contextual materials on environmental pollution to empower the creative thinking abilities of Class VII SMP. This research was conducted in two places, namely validation by the validator carried out in the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau and a limited trial was carried out at SMPN 6 Bangko Pusako in May-October 2019. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model conducted to the development stage (development). There are 4 LKPD developed. Data collection instruments in this study were LKPD validation sheets, and questionnaire respondents. After LKPD is developed, it is then validated by 5 validators. After that, the first trial was conducted on 15 biology education students from the Teaching and Education Faculty of Riau University, and the second trial was conducted on 20 Class VII students at SMPN 6 Bangko Pusako. Contextual-based class VII student worksheets (LKPD) have been successfully developed with a very valid category.Key Words : Development, LKPD, Contextual, Creative Thinking Ability.

Abstract

Abstract: Research has been conducted at Muhammadiyah 1 High School in Pekanbaru in May 2018 which aims to determine the effect of integrating mind mapping into a guided inquiry model on creative thinking skills and understanding of ecological concepts in class X Muhammadiyah 1 high school seniors. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a randomized control group pretest-posttest research design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class X MIA1 as experimental class and class X MIA2 as control class randomly selected after normality and homogeneity tests. The experimental class is the class applied guided inquiry learning model by integrating mind mapping while the control class is not treated. The data analysis technique used is the t test. Based on the data analysis test obtained tcount> t table t count> t table (3.07> 1.67), meaning that the application using a guided inquiry model can improve students' creative thinking abilities and tcount> t table (3.88> 1.67), tcount> ttable (3.88> 1.67), using the Guided Inquiry Model can improve the Understanding of Concepts for Class X Students of Muhammadiyah 1 High School Pekanbaru. The categories of students' creative thinking abilities are low with (N-gain = 0.24) and the conceptual understanding category of students is moderate (N-gain = 0.52).Key Words: Guided Inquiry Model, Mind Mapping, Creative Thinking Ability, Concept Understanding

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce an electronic Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Science Literacy in High Quality Class X High School Ecosystem Materials. The research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP UNRI, a zoom meeting platform and at school for SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru students from July to November 2021. The subject of this research was KD 3.9 ecosystem material for class X SMA. The type of research used is the ADDIE Research and Development model. The instrument used is a validation sheet. The validation sheet consists of 3 aspects, namely the design aspect, the pedagogic aspect and the content feasibility aspect. The results of the validation of the electronic LKPD based on Science Literacy on Ecosystem Materials for Class X SMA shows that the electronic LKPD that has been developed is in the very valid category with an overall average score of 3.40. The three aspects include design aspects with an average of 3.55, pedagogic aspects with an average of 3.26, aspects of content feasibility with an average of 3.39. The aspect that gets the highest score is the design aspect with an average score of 3.55 which is in the very valid category. The results of the trial phase I obtained an average score of 3.64 and the results of the trial phase II obtained an average score of 3.82 with a very good category. The results showed that the electronic LKPD that was developed was good and suitable to be used as a learning reference in schools as well as a source of independent learning to increase students' knowledge and understanding of ecosystem materials in facilitating students to build their own knowledge.Key Words: Electronic Student Worksheet, Science Literacy, Ecosystem.

Abstract

Abstrak: Selama pembelajaran dalam jaringan guru harus mampu mendesain pembelajaran online yang efektif, efisien, dan inovatif,. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan guru-guru MGMP IPA SMP di Pekanbaru diperoleh informasi bahwa mayoritas guru masih banyak yang kesulitan melakukan evaluasi saat pembelajaran daring. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan teknologi guru dalam penggunaan aplikasi Kahoot dan Quizizz sebagai evaluasi selama pembelajaran daring. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dari: (1) Persiapan, pada tahap ini dilakukan komunikasi, observasi dan survey awal terhadap permasalahan yang ada dilapangan, (2) Pelaksanaan, tahap ini dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian pada tempat munculnya permasalahan berdasarkan hasil observasi dan komunikasi awal berupa pelatihan pembuatan kuis interaktif menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot dan Quizizz melalui tatap muka dan bimbingan online. (3) Evaluasi, pada tahap ini dilakukan evaluasi dan refleksi terhadap kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan. Mitra pada kegiatan ini adalah guru IPA SMP kota Pekanbaru berjumlah 19 orang. Peserta diberikan soal pretest dan posttest untuk melihat ketercapaian konten materi serta diberikan penugasan. Diketahui bahwa rerata nilai pretest peserta pelatihan yaitu 61,58 dan nilai posttest peserta yaitu 91,58. Terlihat adanya peningkatan nilai peserta. Kualitas luaran tugas yang dikumpulkan oleh para peserta juga sudah sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta pengabdian sudah dapat membuat kuis interaktif berbasis Kahoot dan Quizizz dan mampu mengaplikasikannya dalam proses pembelajaran.Abstract: During learning in the network, the teacher must be able to design effective, efficient, and innovative online learning. Based on interviews with MGMP science teachers at junior high schools in Pekanbaru, information was obtained that the majority of teachers still had difficulty evaluating online learning. This service activity aims to improve teachers' mastery of technology in using the Kahoot and Quizizz applications as evaluations during online learning. The methods in service activities consist of: (1) Preparation, at this stage communication, observation and initial surveys are carried out on the problems that exist in the field, (2) Implementation, at this stage service activities are carried out at the place where problems arise based on the results of observations and initial communication in the form of training in making interactive quizzes using the Kahoot and Quizizz applications through face-to-face and online tutoring. (3) Evaluation, at this stage evaluation and reflection are carried out on the service activities carried out. Partners in this activity are science teachers at the Pekanbaru City Middle School, totaling 19 people. Participants were given pretest and posttest questions to see the achievement of material content and were given assignments. It is known that the average pretest value of the trainees is 61.58 and the posttest value of the participants is 91.58. Seen an increase in the value of participants. The quality of the output of the tasks collected by the participants was also very good. It can be concluded that the service participants have been able to create interactive quizzes based on Kahoot and Quizizz and are able to apply them in the learning process.

Abstract

One of the fishery products in Sungai Paku village is kijing, which is a freshwater mussel that lives naturally at the bottom of the river, and a community fish pond that utilizes leftovers from aquaculture. The potential of kijing is quite large and has good nutritional value especially the content of essential amino acids and Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), but have not been utilized optimally. The objectives of this activity were to 1. Increase the knowledge and skills of the community to become creative, productive and independent processors, 2. Provide knowledge about the management of product licenses from BPOM (P-IRT), and 3. Provide production management skills and marketing strategies so that production develops and continuous (sustainable). The methods used in the implementation of this activity were: lectures, discussions, and direct practice of making crackers and snack products of kijing with various flavours: cheese, barbecue, and spicy flavor, with a farmer group Alam Bendungan consists 10 people who have been selected. From the implementation of this activity the service program target has been achieved well (100%), in which the Paku River village community which is incorporated into farmer group the Alam Bendungan Sungai Paku Village has become a creative, productive and independent processor, has knowledge of managing product licenses from BPOM (P-IRT), skilled in product management and marketing strategies so that production develops and continues (sustainable).

Abstract

This research aims to produce a valid and practical Socio-Scientific Issue (SSI) based student worksheet (LKPD) on grade VII science learning in junior high school.  There are three issues discussed, namely the issue of Unlicensed Gold Mining (PETI) in Kuansing, the issue of waste and the issue of Forest and Land Fires (KARHUTLA). The development research method uses the Plomp model which consists of the preliminary research phase, the prototyping phase and the assessment phase. In the initial investigation phase, a needs analysis is carried out to see the importance of the issues used as the basis for the development of  LKPD. The LKPD prototype manufacturing stage was designed based on SSI with validation by experts consisting of lecturers and teachers. Large group test assessment stage on 31 students to see the practicality of the prototype. LKPD validation results are very valid with an average score of 3.4, very practical with a score of 82.9% by the teacher and very practical 81.4% by students. It can be concluded that LKPD based on SSI is valid and practical to be applied in junior high school science learning.

Abstract

Abstract: Covid 19 has had many impacts on various fields, one of which is the field of education. SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras began to apply PTM-Limited in September 2021. In implementing PTM-Limited, several problems were found that students complained about, such as assessments that were charged with assignments and a decrease in understanding of the material.The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the evaluation of the biology teaching and learning process in limited Face-to-face learning in grade XI science at SMAN 1 Pkl. Kuras. The samples of this study were students and teachers of grade XI science at SMAN 1 Pkl.kuras. The instruments to collect the data were questionnaires and interviews. To analyze the data used descriptive quantitative analysis techniques and percentages. After analyzing the data, it can be concluded: the learning planning aspect is categorized as good with a percentage of 71.72%, the learning implementation aspect is categorized as good with a percentage of 72.91%, and learning assessment aspect is categorized as good with a percentage of 64.13%. So overall, the total average percentage of the evaluation of the teaching and learning process of biology at PTM-Limited in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras is 69.59% categorized as good.Key Words: Learning evaluation, Biology teaching and learning,Limited Face to face Learning.

Abstract

Constructivism-based learning module research aims to analyze the effect of using the module on the creative thinking of junior high school students regarding the interaction of living things and their environment. This quasi-experimental study used the Pretest Posttest Control Group design with the research subjects being grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kampar. At the beginning of the implementation, students were given creative thinking pretest questions, then students studied constructivism-based learning modules and were given posttest questions. The parameters of creative thinking are 4 indicators, each indicator has 5 questions. Hypothesis analysis using t-test. The results showed that the control class has an average pretest of 61.75 (quite creative). Meanwhile, in the experimental classhas an average posttest of 81.25 (creative). The results of hypothesis testing show tcount > ttable with a value of 3.891 > 2.010. In conclusion, the use of constructivism-based learning modules has an effect on increasing students' creative thinking regarding the interaction of living things and their environment.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to integrate higher-order thinking skills. One of them is creative thinking. Mind map integration in Problem Based Learning (PBL) is thought to be able to assist students in improving creative thinking. This study aims to determine the effect of increasing creative thinking through the integration of mind maps in PBL on eighth grade students of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research population was class VIII SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. The research sample consisted of class VIII.1 as the experimental class and class VIII.2 as the control class. Data in the form of pretest and posttest. N-gain analysis was conducted to see the increase in student scores and MANOVA was used to examine the effect of mind maps in PBL on students creative thinking abilities. The average value of creative thinking is better in the experimental class which is 78.08 in the digestive system material with N-gain relatively close to high, namely 0.68 while in the control class only 54.88 is sufficient category. The MANOVA test also shows that there is an effect of mind maps in PBL on the creative thinking ability of class VIII SMPN 25 Pekanbaru with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This shows that the application of mind map integration to PBL is able to improve the creative thinking skills of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru students.
