Abstract

Mangifera laurina termasuk salah satu mangga liar di Sumatra yang memiliki kandungan antioksidan, fenol dan flavonoid yang tinggi. Tanaman Ruellia tuberosa L dan Leucobryum sp. diketahui memiliki sifat antibakteri. Perpaduan tiga tumbuhan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengobati luka pada penderita diabetes menggantikan antibiotik, karena penggunaan antibiotik yang tidak tepat dapat menyebabkan bakteri menjadi resisten. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji aktivitas ekstrak metanol kombinasi tiga jenis tanaman (Mangifera laurina, Ruellia tuberosa L dan Leucobryum sp) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 dan S. epidermidis ATCC 12228. Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan adalah maserasi dengan metanol 70%. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan konsentrasi ekstrak sebesar 10% dengan metode kertas cakram pada medium Mueller Hinton Agar (MHA), diinkubasi pada suhu 37°C selama 24 jam. Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah antibiotik kloramfenikol 30µg/disc dan DMSO 10% sebagai kontrol negatif. Hasil zona hambat yang terbentuk dibandingkan dengan Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). Hasil uji kombinasi ekstrak M. laurina, R. tuberosa L dan Leucobryum sp. terhadap S. aureus ATCC 6538 diperoleh kisaran zona hambat 7,55±0,35-10,05±0,54 mm. Zona hambat terbesar pada perlakuan P2 (perbandingan 3:2:3) dan zona hambat terkecil pada perlakuan P5 (perbandingan 2:1:3). Zona hambat yang terbentuk terhadap S. epidermidis ATCC 12226 berkisar 7,88±0,11-8,28±0,81 mm. Zona hambat terbesar pada perlakuan P6 (perbandingan 1:3:2) dan yang terkecil perlakuan P5 (perbandingan 2:1:3). Pada perlakuan P1-P4 tidak terbentuk zona hambat. Berdasarkan CLSI, zona hambat yang terbentuk ≤ 12 mm termasuk kategori resisten. Zona hambat kloramfenikol terhadap S. aureus termasuk kategori sensitif, akan tetapi terhadap S. epidermidis termasuk kategori resisten. Kombinasi ekstrak metanol Mangga liar M. laurina, R. tuberosa dan Leucobryum sp. berpeluang sebagai kandidat antibiotik.

Abstract

This research and development (research and development) aims to determine the quality of the development of discovery learning-based e-modules on protist material. The development method used in this study is the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The quality of the e-module developed was seen from the assessment of the team of experts (material experts, media experts, and pedagogic experts), learning practitioners and students. The assessment instruments used were validation sheets, practitioner sheets, and student response sheets. The results of the expert team's assessment got a score of 4.47 with a very valid category. The results of the assessment from learning practitioners obtained a score of 84.71% in the very practical category. Furthermore, the results of student responses to the use of discovery learning -based e-modules get a score of 3.64 in the good category. Based on the results of this assessment, it can be concluded that the discovery learning-based e-module developed by researchers is a quality product and is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

E-LKPD merupakan sumber belajar versi elektronik yang dapat dibuka pada layar laptop ataupun handphone yang dapat digunakan siswa untuk mempelajari materi keanekaragaman hayati di kelas X. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD berbasis Guided Inquiry pada materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk siswa kelas X SMA yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kampus Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau, SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, dan SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Pada penelitian ini hanya dilakukan hingga tahap Pengembangan. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan angket respon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan validasi terhadap E-LKPD yang dikembangkan, uji coba terbatas tahap I dan II. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi E-LKPD pada keseluruhan aspek mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 3.69 dengan kategori sangat valid, hasil uji coba terbatas tahap I dan uji coba terbatas tahap II pada E-LKPD mendapatkan nilai rata-rata uji coba terbatas tahap I sebesar 3.74 dengan kategori sangat baik, dan nilai rata-rata uji coba terbatas tahap II sebesar 3.77 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis Guided Inquiry pada materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk siswa kelas X SMA yang telah dikembangkan memiliki kualitas yang sangat baik dengan nilai kualitas sebesar 3.73.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan dari e-modul berbasis model pembelajaran bounded inquiry laboratory pada sistem ekskresi manusia di SMP. E-modul yang dikembangkan dapat melatih siswa untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan secara mandiri melalui kemampuan menyelidiki secara ilmiah, dengan adanya kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium yang diawali dengan kegiatan pra-lab, sehingga e-modul dapat mengarahkan siswa untuk menemukan dan memahami konsep. Kelayakan dari e-modul didasarkan atas penilaian terhadap e-modul melalui uji validasi ahli materi, ahli pedagogi dan ahli media. Aspek penilaian dari e-modul terdiri dari aspek kelayakan isi, aspek bahasa, aspek pedagogi, aspek kegrafisan dan aspek pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah validasi ahli materi berada pada kategori sangat valid dengan persentase 96,6%, hasil validasi ahli pedagogi berada pada kategori sangat valid dengan persentase 91,2% dan validasi ahli media berada pada kategori sangat valid dengan persentase 83,1%. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid dan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to develop inquiry-based student worksheets to improve students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation. This development research uses the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluations) method. The development of inquiry-based student worksheets is developed on ecosystem materials. The results of the development of inquiry-based Student Worksheets with validity tests obtained an average score of 3.58 with very valid categories, so they have excellent quality and are worthy of use. The results of the development of student worksheets and the teacher response practicality test obtained an average score of 92.83 in the very practical category. From the results of the practicality test obtained, inquiry-based Student Worksheets have very practical qualities. The results of the development of inquiry-based student worksheets have a significant influence on improving students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation with a test significance value of t 0.000 <0.005. The results of the t-test on improving students' critical thinking skills showed a mean statistics percentage of 83.12 very critical categories. The results of the t-test on increasing student learning motivation showed a mean statistics percentage of 82.8 categories of highly motivated.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Berbasis Berpikir Kritis pada Materi Perubahan Lingkungan yang berkualitas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau dan SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan pada bulan Januari hingga Maret 2022. Subjek penelitian yaitu KD 3.6 materi perubahan lingkungan kelas X SMA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) Research and development. Namun pada penelitian ini hanya dilaksanakan hingga tahap Implementation. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi dan angket respon. Lembar validasi terdiri dari 4 aspek yakni aspek kelayakan isi, aspek kebahasaan, aspek penyajian, serta aspek kegrafikan. Rata- rata hasil validasi terhadap LKPD elektronik berdasarkan keempat aspek yaitu 3.90 dengan kategori sangat valid. Keempat aspek tersebut meliputi aspek kelayakan isi 4.00, aspek kebahasaan 3.88, aspek penyajian 3.92, dan aspek kegrafikan 3.81. Hasil uji coba terbatas tahap I mendapatkan skor rata- rata 3.91 kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan hasil uji coba terbatas tahap II mendapatkan skor rata- rata 3.92 kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKPD elektronik berbasis berpikir kritis pada materi perubahan lingkungan kelas X berkualitas dan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the role of empowerment Science Teachers Association (MGMP IPA) in improving the Professional competence of science teachers in the city of Dumai, Indonsia. This type of research was descriptive qualitative. The population of this study were all teachers in MGMP IPA Dumai. The research sample was 70 teachers who were members of the MGMP IPA Dumai. Data collection technique were using questionaires and test. The result showed that average professional ability of the teachers was 74 in good categories, pedagogical average was 61 in the moderate category and PCK was 56 in the moderate category. This shows that MGMP IPA Dumai has not fully played a role in increasing the professional competence of teachrers.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to integrate higher-order thinking skills. One of them is creative thinking. Mind map integration in Problem Based Learning (PBL) is thought to be able to assist students in improving creative thinking. This study aims to determine the effect of increasing creative thinking through the integration of mind maps in PBL on eighth grade students of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research population was class VIII SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. The research sample consisted of class VIII.1 as the experimental class and class VIII.2 as the control class. Data in the form of pretest and posttest. N-gain analysis was conducted to see the increase in student scores and MANOVA was used to examine the effect of mind maps in PBL on students creative thinking abilities. The average value of creative thinking is better in the experimental class which is 78.08 in the digestive system material with N-gain relatively close to high, namely 0.68 while in the control class only 54.88 is sufficient category. The MANOVA test also shows that there is an effect of mind maps in PBL on the creative thinking ability of class VIII SMPN 25 Pekanbaru with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This shows that the application of mind map integration to PBL is able to improve the creative thinking skills of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru students.

Abstract

Constructivism-based learning module research aims to analyze the effect of using the module on the creative thinking of junior high school students regarding the interaction of living things and their environment. This quasi-experimental study used the Pretest Posttest Control Group design with the research subjects being grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kampar. At the beginning of the implementation, students were given creative thinking pretest questions, then students studied constructivism-based learning modules and were given posttest questions. The parameters of creative thinking are 4 indicators, each indicator has 5 questions. Hypothesis analysis using t-test. The results showed that the control class has an average pretest of 61.75 (quite creative). Meanwhile, in the experimental classhas an average posttest of 81.25 (creative). The results of hypothesis testing show tcount > ttable with a value of 3.891 > 2.010. In conclusion, the use of constructivism-based learning modules has an effect on increasing students' creative thinking regarding the interaction of living things and their environment.

Abstract

The type of this research is research and development using the ADDIE Instructional Model which consists of the design phase, doing product design, validation sheets and limited test responses. Development, conducting product development and testing product validity from material experts, media experts and biology teachers. Implementation, conducted a limited trial of phase I on 10 students and phase II on 31 students of class XI MIPA. Evaluation, Conducting an evaluation of each stage carried out. The results of the analysis phase of the curriculum used in the learning process in schools is the 2013 curriculum. The basic competencies that are appropriate in the development of this Electronic Encyclopedia are KD (3.7) Plantae. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of students are known, students prefer to learn by discussion, students prefer to learn in an environment outside the classroom and are more interested in learning with books that have lots of pictures, so that the Flipbook Maker-based Encyclopedia of Spermatophyta learning resources was developed. Based on the results of the validity test and limited trial, the overall value of the category is very good so that it produces a quality Flipbook Maker-based Electronic Encyclopedia of Spermatophyta, which can be used as a learning resource.
