Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku saku tentang jenis tumbuhan obat yang ada di Kecamatan Sungai Apit, Kabupaten Siak dengan materi keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Proses perancangan buku saku dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu analisis dan desain. Rancangan buku saku pada pembelajaran Biologi SMA dilaksanakan di Kampus Bina Widya Universitas Riau. Buku Saku berfungsi sebagai media pembelajaran yang membantu menyampaikan informasi tambahan yang belum tercakup dalam paket. Hasil pada penelitian ini yaitu buku saku yang memuat daftar jenis, klasifikasi, nama lokal, nama ilmiah, dan deskripsi ringkas setiap tanaman obat. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, buku saku dinyatakan sangat valid, dengan skor struktur materi 3,5, aspek kebahasaan 3,5, aspek format kegrafikan 3,45, dan total rata-rata 3,48. Dengan demikian, buku saku layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati kelas X SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas rancangan Buku Saku Keanekaragaman Kupu-Kupu sub ordo Rhopalocera pada materi keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement dan Evaluate), perancangan Buku Saku ini dilakukan hanya sampai tahap Development. Tahap perancangan Buku Saku dilakukan di Kampus Program Studi Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Bina widya Universitas Riau Panam Pekanbaru. Buku saku yang telah dirancang kemudian divalidasi oleh dua orang validator, yaitu validator ahli media dan ahli materi. Penilaian validator terhadap buku saku dilihat berdasarkan indikator validitas buku saku yang terdiri dari 4 aspek yaitu aspek isi, aspek bahasa, aspek penyajian dan aspek kegrafisan. Hasil validitas rancangan buku saku keanekaragaman kupu-kupu sub ordo Rhopalocera memperoleh skor rata-rata validitas 3,88 sehingga rancangan buku saku ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dan dapat digunakan sebagai pengayaan bahan ajar pada materi keanekaragaman hayati SMA kelas X fase E.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas rancangan E-Magazine Keanekaragaman Makrofauna Tanah pada materi ekosistem kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, dan Evaluation, namun pengembangan E-Magazine dilakukan hanya sampai tahap Development. Perancangan dilaksanakan di Kampus Program Studi Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Bina Widya Universitas Riau Panam Pekanbaru. Produk E-Magazine yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh dua validator, yaitu ahli media dan ahli materi. Penilaian validitas mengacu pada empat aspek, yaitu aspek isi, bahasa, penyajian, dan kegrafisan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa E-Magazine memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,89 sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar pada materi ekosistem SMA kelas X fase E.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku saku jenis-jenis capung (Odonata) di Kecamatan Peranap sebagai penunjang bahan ajar yang valid pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati Biologi SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement dan Evaluate), perancangan Buku Saku ini dilakukan hanya sampai tahap Development. Tahap perancangan Buku Saku dilakukan di Kampus Program Studi Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Bina widya Universitas Riau Panam Pekanbaru. Buku saku yang telah dirancang kemudian divalidasi oleh dua orang validator, yaitu validator ahli media dan ahli materi. Lembar validasi ahli media berisikan 18 butir pertanyaan yang terdiri dari 3 aspek, yaitu kelayakan isi, kelayakan bahasa, dan kelayakan tampilan. Lembar validasi ahli materi berisikan 12 butir pertanyaan yang terdiri atas 3 aspek yaitu kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, dan sajian/ilustrasi. Hasil validitas rancangan buku saku Jenis-Jenis Capung (Odonata) di Kecamatan Peranap dinyatakan sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor 3,8 sehingga dapat digunakan oleh guru dan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Biologi SMA materi Keanekaragaman Hayati.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi Booklet sebagai media pembelajaran Biologi SMA yang berbasis isu lokal keanekaragaman jenis gulma di Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Kecamatan Tapung Hulu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada April 2025 di Kampus Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau dengan dengan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model ADDIE yang dibatasi hingga tahap pengembangan. Tahap pengembangan difokuskan pada pembuatan Booklet materi keanekaragaman hayati yang berbasis keanekaragaman jenis gulma Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Kecamatan Tapung Hulu. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media menggunakan lembar validasi dengan hasil validitas rata-rata 3,5 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Booklet keanekaragaman jenis gulma pada Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Kecamatan Tapung Hulu layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran Biologi kelas X SMA. Booklet ini diharapkan dapat memudahkan dalam memahami konsep keanekaragaman jenis secara kontekstual sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran terhadap lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

The use of student worksheets in schools is still predominantly print-based and has not fully attracted students’ interest, particularly in virus material, which requires visual, interactive, and contextual presentation. The development of electronic student worksheets based on Project Based Learning is needed as an alternative teaching material that can encourage students’ active participation, creativity, and independence in understanding virus material. This study aimed to determine the validity and quality of electronic student worksheets based on Project Based Learning for virus material in Grade X senior high school. This research employed a Research and Development method using the ADDIE model, which was limited to the Analyze, Design, and Development stages. The research subjects consisted of four validators, namely two Biology Education lecturers and two Biology teachers, as well as limited trial respondents involving 10 Biology Education students and 35 Grade X students of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The instruments used were validation sheets and respondent questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using mean scores. The results showed that the developed electronic student worksheets obtained a validation score of 3.68, which was categorized as highly valid. The results of the first limited trial obtained a score of 3.70, while the second limited trial obtained a score of 3.76, both categorized as very good. Overall, the quality of the electronic student worksheets obtained a score of 3.71, which was categorized as very good. Therefore, the electronic student worksheets based on Project Based Learning for virus material are feasible to be used as Biology teaching materials for Grade X senior high school students.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students on the topic of the human circulatory system indicate the need for instructional models and learning media that can enhance student engagement and understanding. The human circulatory system is considered an abstract and complex topic, requiring learning approaches that foster problem-solving skills and are supported by effective visual media. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by animated video media on students’ learning outcomes regarding the human circulatory system in Grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Singingi. This research employed a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that received instruction through the PBL model assisted by animated videos and a control class that was taught using the Discovery Learning model. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the mean posttest score of the experimental class was 83.89, which was higher than that of the control class at 55.14. The N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.62 (moderate category), while the control class achieved an N-Gain score of 0.28 (low category). Furthermore, the Mann–Whitney test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by animated videos had a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes regarding the human circulatory system in Grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Singingi. Therefore, the implementation of the PBL model assisted by animated video media was effective in improving students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the issue of organic waste, which has the potential to be processed into ecoenzymes as an alternative liquid organic fertilizer to support plant growth while reducing dependence on inorganic fertilizers. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of ecoenzyme application on the growth of green mustard (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis). The study employed an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design comprising five treatments: P0 as a negative control, P1 with manure fertilizer as a positive control, P2 with 5 ml/L ecoenzyme, P3 with 10 ml/L ecoenzyme, and P4 with 15 ml/L ecoenzyme, each replicated four times. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the ecoenzyme had very low nutrient content, namely N 0.14%, P 0.10%, and K 0.08%, with a pH of 3.48, yet it still influenced the growth of green mustard. The 10 ml/L treatment generally exhibited the best outcomes, particularly in leaf number and root length, while the highest fresh weight was observed in the 15 ml/L treatment. Thus, ecoenzymes have the potential to be used as an environmentally friendly alternative liquid organic fertilizer in the cultivation of green mustard.

Abstract

The quality of biology teaching materials, especially E-LKPD on ecosystem topics, has not fully met the demands of Merdeka Curriculum which emphasizes contextual, critical, and locally relevant learning. This research and development study aims to produce a high-quality Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) on Riau Peatland ecosystems integrated with the Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) approach for Grade X SMA students. The development used the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), carried out through the Analysis, Design, and Development stages. Validation was conducted by three validators (one lecturer and two biology teachers) covering media validity (graphic components, presentation, language, and practicality) and material validity (content feasibility, learning effectiveness, and SSI integration). Limited trials were conducted in two phases: Phase I involved 10 university students from Biology Education at Universitas Riau, and Phase II involved 30 Grade X students at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. Results showed an overall validation mean score of 3.62 (very valid). Trial Phase I yielded a mean of 3.71 (very good) and Trial Phase II yielded a mean of 3.58 (very good), resulting in a final product quality score of 3.64 (very good). These findings indicate that the developed E-LKPD is valid and practical for facilitating higher-order thinking, ecological literacy, and evidence-based decision-making skills through the integration of authentic Riau peatland issues.

Abstract

Naturalistic intelligence is one of the dimensions of intelligence that contributes to students’ ability to recognize, understand, and care for the natural environment. In biodiversity learning, naturalistic intelligence is presumed to be associated with students’ cognitive learning outcomes because the subject matter is closely related to natural phenomena. This study aimed to determine the relationship between naturalistic intelligence and the cognitive learning outcomes of tenth-grade students on biodiversity material at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. The study employed a quantitative correlational research design involving 109 tenth-grade students as the sample. Data on naturalistic intelligence were collected using a questionnaire, while cognitive learning outcome data were obtained through a test. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results showed that students’ naturalistic intelligence was categorized as moderate, with an average score of 2.51, while their cognitive learning outcomes were categorized as sufficient, with an average score of 77.83. Correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between naturalistic intelligence and cognitive learning outcomes in biodiversity learning, with a correlation coefficient of 0.529 (p < 0.05), indicating a moderate level of association. Therefore, higher levels of naturalistic intelligence tend to be accompanied by higher cognitive learning outcomes.
