Abstract

Research on the development of an integrated science pocket book based on scientific literacy on environmental pollution and climate change aims to see the validity, practicality and response of students. This study used ADDIE's research development (R&D) which consisted of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. But in this research only reached the development stage. Data is collected through a questionnaire. After analyzing the needs and designing an integrated science literacy-based pocket book, the research proceeded to the development process. Scientific literacy consists of 4 aspects, each aspect has its own indicator code. At the pocket book development stage it was validated by five experts, namely, material experts, media experts and 2 teachers. The results showed that the validation of material, media, pedagogic experts , and 2 teachers was 3.42 with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test obtained a score of 81.84 which can be categorized as very practical, and the results of the student response test obtained a score of 86.05 in the very good category . In conclusion, the development of integrated science pocket books based on scientific literacy on environmental pollution and climate change is stated to be very valid, practical and very well used by students in the learning process.

Abstract

Using a quasi-experiment design with a nonequivalent control group design, this study looks at how quizizz learning materials affect students' cognitive learning outcomes. It focuses on MIPA XI class students at a chosen SMAN in Dumai City, Riau. Purposive sampling is a method of sampling that incorporates specific selection criteria. Class XI MIPA 2 was the experimental group in this study, and class XI MIPA 3 was the control group. The experimental and control groups were given 25 multiple-choice questions as part of the research instrument during the pretest and posttest phases. The average posttest score for the experimental class increased to 7.22, according to statistical analysis. Using the t-test for hypothesis testing, the post-test score had a significance value of 0.034, which is less than 0.05. Additionally, the control class received an average N-gain value of 46.39%, indicating that it is less effective than the experimental class, which received an average N-gain value of 56.22%, indicating that it is quite effective. Therefore, it can be said that quizizz learning materials improve students' cognitive learning results.

Abstract

Abstract: The Pancasila Learner Profile is part of the Merdeka Curriculum and involves project activities. One of the themes of the Pancasila Profile Student Strengthening Project (P5) is sustainable lifestyle. In partner schools, it was found that many teachers still needed to learn about eco-enzymes and how to use them in teaching. This service activity is focused on teaching teachers about eco-enzymes. The goal is to help them gain knowledge, improve their skills, and prepare projects for P5 implementation. The service project took place at SMAN 1 Siak with 15 participants. The activity has three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The success of this service activity is determined by how much participants learn, as shown by their scores on a test before and after the activity. The activity results showed that: (1) Teacher knowledge about eco-enzymes and their benefits increased by 70.8%. (2) Participants gave very good feedback in satisfaction questionnaires, with a percentage of 98.4%. (3) Teachers demonstrated the ability and skills needed to make eco-enzymes, enabling them to implement this knowledge independently.

Abstract

The type of this research is research and development using the ADDIE Instructional Model which consists of the design phase, doing product design, validation sheets and limited test responses. Development, conducting product development and testing product validity from material experts, media experts and biology teachers. Implementation, conducted a limited trial of phase I on 10 students and phase II on 31 students of class XI MIPA. Evaluation, Conducting an evaluation of each stage carried out. The results of the analysis phase of the curriculum used in the learning process in schools is the 2013 curriculum. The basic competencies that are appropriate in the development of this Electronic Encyclopedia are KD (3.7) Plantae. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of students are known, students prefer to learn by discussion, students prefer to learn in an environment outside the classroom and are more interested in learning with books that have lots of pictures, so that the Flipbook Maker-based Encyclopedia of Spermatophyta learning resources was developed. Based on the results of the validity test and limited trial, the overall value of the category is very good so that it produces a quality Flipbook Maker-based Electronic Encyclopedia of Spermatophyta, which can be used as a learning resource.

Abstract

Science education at the junior high school level plays a crucial role in developing scientific thinking skills, scientific literacy, and environmental awareness. However, conventional teaching practices often result in low student understanding and limited environmental consciousness. This study aimed to examine the effect of Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI)-based science learning on the cognitive learning outcomes and environmental awareness of seventh-grade students at SMPN 7 Pangkalan Kuras, as well as the relationship between these variables. The study sample consisted of 43 students, divided into an experimental class (21 students) receiving SSI-based learning and a control class (22 students) receiving conventional instruction. Data were collected through written tests (multiple-choice questions) and environmental awareness questionnaires, then analyzed. The results showed that the average cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental class (75.45) were higher than those of the control class (63.81) and students’ environmental awareness in the experimental class (75.27) was also higher than in the control class (70.12), indicating that SSI effectively enhances both conceptual understanding and environmental concern. These findings provide valuable reference for teachers in implementing contextual and meaningful learning approaches that foster students’ social and ecological responsibility

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-booklet media from the results of the study of the diversity of macroscopic fungal species and their roles in the Teluk Merbau Village Oil Palm Plantation for high school biology learning. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The determination of the observation location used the purposive sampling method, namely making 6 line transect lines in locations that represent the age of oil palm trees and fungal habitats. The e-booklet development method uses the ADDIE model until the third step (Development). The developed e-booklet was validated by 2 expert lecturers. The results of the study showed that there were 22 species of macroscopic fungi in the Teluk Merbau Village Oil Palm Plantation area consisting of 21 species from the basidiomycota division and 1 species from the ascomycota division. The results of the validation of the development of the e-booklet on the diversity of macroscopic fungal species and their roles in the Teluk Merbau Village Oil Palm Plantation based on aspects of content, language and appearance obtained an average score of 3.89 which is included in the very valid category, this indicates that the developed e-booklet is in accordance with the criteria for good learning media.
