Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktifitas enzim pencernaan (protease, amylase dan lipase) pada ikan nila salin yang dipeliharan pada lingkungan budidaya air tawar, payau dan laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan uji laboratorium untuk memeroleh informasi kinerja enzim pencernaan pada ikan nila salin. Data hasil uji aktifitas enzim pada laboratorium di analisis mengunakan uji ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktifitas enzim pencernaan tidak dipengaruhi (P > 0.5) oleh lokasi budidaya baik tawar, payau maupun laut. Aktivitas enzim pencernaan ikan nila salin yang dbudidaya pada air tawar, aktifitas tertinggi diperoleh pada enzim α-amilase berkisar  berkisar 0,265-0,715 U/mL/menit (0,51 ± 0,23 U/mL/menit) dan terendah adalah enzim protease berkisar 0,15-0,20 U/mL/menit ( 0,02 ±0,00 U/mL/menit). Aktivitas enzim pencernaan ikan nila salin yang dbudidaya pada air payau yang tertinggi diperoleh pada enzim α-amilase berkisar  berkisar 0,520-0,653 U/mL/menit (0,59 ± 0,07 U/mL/menit) dan terendah adalah enzim protease berkisar 0,024-0,037 U/mL/menit ( 0,03 ±0,01 U/mL/menit). Aktivitas enzim pencernaan ikan nila salin yang dbudidaya pada Karamba Jaring Apung (KJA) di laut yang tertinggi diperoleh pada enzim α-amilase berkisar  berkisar 0.706-0.956 U/mL/menit (0.73 ± 0,19 U/mL/menit) dan terendah adalah enzim protease berkisar 0,15-0,36 U/mL/menit ( 0,03 ±0,01 U/mL/menit).

Abstract

This study was conducted from March to May 2025 in the waters of Takalar, Makassar Strait. This study used the observation and sampling method at the Takalar Beba Fish Landing Place. The data taken were in the form of fish length and fish weight to be used to obtain growth patterns and condition factors and the results obtained were analyzed descriptively narratively. The results showed that the number of catches of Fringe scale sardinella l during the bright moon phase was 1,389 fish, while in the dark moon phase it was 337 fish. These results indicate that the size distribution in the bright moon phase ranges from 10-14.5 cm (12.002 ± 0.972 cm) with a weight ranging from 10-25 g (17.070 ± 3.676 g) and the dark moon ranges from 11-14 cm (12.047 ± 0.938 cm) with a weight ranging from 12-25 g (16.727 ± 3.489 g). Fringe scale sardinella in both moon phases have a negative allometric growth pattern (b < 3), which is 2.2148 in the bright moon and 2.0683 in the dark moon. The relative condition factor value ranges from 0.681–1.059 (1.004 ± 0.095) in the bright moon and 1.108–1.195 (1.004 ± 0.088) in the dark moon. The negative allometric growth pattern is an indication of high fishing pressure with the utilization of Fringe scale sardinella in the bright moon phase as a more effective time.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi perikanan tangkap merupakan salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan produktivitas tangkapan yang diharapkan ramah lingkungan dalam pemanfaatan sumberdaya perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola kedatangan dan jenis tangkapan ikan pada alat tangkap drift gill net, dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan September 2019 diperairan Galesong Utara Kabupaten Takalar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksploratif dan dilakukan dengan mengambil data hasil tangkapan menggunakan Fihsfinder pada Drift gill net. Pengambilan data dengan mengikuti operasi penangkapan selama 30 Trip. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bawa pola kedatangan ikan pada kedalaman 0-30 Meter dengan Frekuensi 50 KHz kisaran suhu 27-29°C serta kecepatan arus di kisaran 8,24 m/s. Pengamatan Fishfinder ikan Schooling secara horizontal dan vertikal mengikuti arah gerak arus dari arah Selatan bibir pantai. Pola kedatangan ikan dikarenakan terdapat banyak sumber makanan terbawa arus. komposisi jenis hasil tangkapan ikan paling banyak tertangkap pada Drift gill net seperti ikan Tembang (Sardinella gibbosa) sebanyak 80% atau 2.495 ekor (kisaran Panjang 10.5-12.5 cm), ikan peperek (Leiognathus equulus) sebanyak 109 ekor, ikan layang (Detapterus pusailus) sebanyak 3 ekor, ikan layur (Trichiurus savala) sebanyak 2 ekor, ikan kembung (Alepes djedeba) sebanyak 2 ekor. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa operasi penangkapan Drift gill net menggunakan alat bantu Fishfinder memiliki hasil tangkapan lebih banyak, pola kedatangan ikan mengikuti arah arus menuju ke arah utara baik secara bergerombol maupun individu.

Abstract

Squid is one of the marine fishery commodities that is widely used by the public, causing increasing demand. This research aims to determine the composition and size distribution of squid catches based on attractor color. The research used three attractor colors, namely white, black and blue and operated in the waters of the Makassar Strait for 12 trips on a squid fishing boat using hand lines. The results of the research showed that the catch was 149 individuals with a composition of 16.11% caught on white attractors, 32.21% caught on black attractors and 51.68% caught on blue attractors. Weight distribution of squid using white attractor ranges from 10-55 g (29.75 ± 12.86 g), tentacle length 6-15.3 cm (8.94 ± 2.35 cm), black attractor 15-99 g (36.58 ± 17.63 g) tentacle length 7.5-20 cm (10.33 ± 2.34 cm) and blue attractor 15-95 g (46.62 ± 21.93 g) tentacle length 7-19 .2 cm (11.39 ± 2.84 cm). The composition of the catch, the distribution of mantle length and the largest weight were obtained from the blue attractor.

Abstract

Fishing technology consists of fishing gear and auxiliary fishing gear which are implemented using various methods according to the objectives to be achieved. The application of fishing technology aims to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of fishing. One fishing technology is the use of artificial bait as an attractant to attract the attention of fish so that they can easily be caught and preyed on by pelagic fish. This service is carried out in Mamuju waters for the purpose of catching pelagic fish. The service was carried out using trolling fishing gear. The results of the service showed that the results obtained were skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis), krai tuna (Auxis thazard) and yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares). The largest catches were obtained from fishing ground in oceanic waters with water depths above 200 m.

Abstract

Coastal water ecosystems in general have experienced damage as a result of fishing that is not environmentally friendly. This unfriendly fishing causes the fish's feeding grounds to be damaged so that fishing activities in coastal areas need to involve fishing aids to collect fish. The fishing aids implemented are in accordance with the fishing objectives to be achieved. The implementation of fishing aids aims to attract attention and bring fish to the area where the attractor is installed, making it easier to catch. One of the fishing aids used is Biological Fish Aggregating Devices (Bio-FADs Tree) or live FADs equipped with Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed which acts as an attractor to attract fish so they can be easily caught. This service is carried out in Mamuju waters for the purpose of catching demersal fish. The service is carried out using trap fishing equipment. The results of the service showed that the catches obtained were Pink ear emperor (Lethrinus lentjan), Redbelly yellowtail fusilier (Caesio cuning), Streaked spinefoot (Siganus javus), batik Vermiculated spinefoot (Siganus vermiculatus) and Orange-spotted spinefoot (Siganus gutattus), White-spotted spinefoot (Siganus canaliculatus), and Surf parrotfish (Scarus rivulatus). Abstract

Crab is one of the coastal fisheries resources that has high economic value and has been intensively utilized. This study aims to analyze the size of the carapace width and weight of the S. serrata crab. The research was conducted using the survey method, through measurement at the crab landing and marketing site. The results showed that the carapace width of male mud crabs ranged from 59.1-149.3 mm (87.35 ± 12.36 mm), with weights ranging from 30.0-560 g (121.68 ± 46.11 g). Female mud crabs had carapace widths ranging from 64.0-172 mm (88.16 ± 14.24 mm), with weights ranging from 40.0-790 g (128.14 ± 64.20 g). The growth pattern of male and female mud crabs is negative allometric, with carapace width increasing faster than crab weight. Crabs that meet the size that can be caught based on carapace width are 13 crabs (2.32%) and based on weight are 118 crabs (21.03%). Abstract

The appearance of whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) is related to the availability of food in certain waters and is a tourist attraction so integrated management is needed so that they do not become a threat to whale sharks. Whale sharks appear regularly and take place throughout the year with the largest number of individuals only occurring in Kwatisore waters. This study aims to examine the bioecology of whale sharks, which is related to appearance based on individuals, number and time of appearance and sex. Primary data collection was carried out from January to March 2023, using the census method on 4 charter fishing gear units anchored in Kwatisore waters. The results showed that 21 individuals of whale sharks appeared with a total of 225 appearances in January, 245 appearances in February and 248 appearances in March and there was one new individual who migrated into Kwatisore waters with ID number 184. Whale sharks appear mostly in the morning with a percentage of 100% with a total length ranging from 3 to 7.5 m.Keywords: Appearance; New Individuals; Whale Sharks

Abstract

Sintasan dalam usaha budidaya rajungan sangat ditentukan oleh pakan yang diberikan selama pemeliharaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penambahan asam amino pada Artemia salina pada dosis yang berbeda untuk meningkatkan sintasan larva rajungan. Penelitian dirancang menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan diberikan dengan cara memperkaya A. salina menggunakan multi asam amino sesuai dengan dosis meliputi perlakuan A: 0,0; B: 2,5; C: 5,0; dan D: 7,5 ppm. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa sintasan larva rajungan pada masing-masing perlakuan yaitu A.11,85 ± 0,40%; B. 16,18 ± 0,18%; C. 37,68 ± 0,20%; dan D. 50,35 ± 0,10% dengan pola hubungan yang polinomial antarpemberian dosis multi asam amino dengan sintasan larva rajungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa penambahan multi asam amino pada A. salina sebagai pakan alami mampu meningkatkan sintasan larva rajungan pada stadia zoea. Survival in blue swimming crab cultivation is largely determined by the feed provided during the rearing period. This study aimed to evaluate the addition of amino acids to Artemia salina at different doses to increase the survival of blue swimming crab larvae. The study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. Treatments were applied by enriching A. salina using multi amino acids according to the doses including treatment A: 0.0; B: 2.5; C: 5.0; and D: 7.5 ppm. The results of the study showed that the survival of blue swimming crab larvae in each treatment was A. 11.85 ± 0.40%; B. 16.18 ± 0.18%; C. 37.68 ± 0.20%; and D. 50.35 ± 0.10 with a polynomial relationship pattern between administration of multi-amino acids doses and survival of blue swimming crab larvae. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the addition of multi amino acids to A. salina as a live feed was able to increase the survival of blue swimming crab larvae at the zoea stage.

Abstract

The applications of probiotics in aquaculture show wide range of potential benefits. If fish consume probiotics in sufficient and accurate amounts, it can have a beneficial impact on the health of catfish. The study aimed to identify the effect of dietary probiotics supplementation of artificial diet at different doses on the African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) parameters such as specific growth rate, survival rate, and feed conversion ratio. The experiment was performed at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bosowa University, Makassar, and lasted for 2 months. The experiment employed a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replicates. The EM4 probiotics were selected as the probiotic supplement and divided into four different doses including treatment: A (5 mL per 100 g feed), B (10 mL per 100g feed), C (15 mL per 100g feed), and D (control). A total of 120 African catfish fingerlings were fed twice every 07:00 a.m. and 06:00 p.m. with a feeding rate of 5% of the body weight. Sampling was performed every week to record catfish body weight and length. The analysis of variance indicated a significant effect of dietary EM4 probiotics supplementation on specific growth rate and feed conversion ratio of African cathfish. However, the result of the experiment revealed 15 mL per 100 g feed did not promote absolute growth rate and survival rate significantly. This study concluded that supplementation of probiotics at a dose of 15 mL per 100 g feed in diet could improve the growth of catfish.Penerapan probiotik dalam budidaya perikanan menunjukkan berbagai manfaat potensial. Jika ikan mengonsumsi probiotik dalam jumlah yang cukup dan tepat, maka dapat memberikan dampak yang menguntungkan bagi kesehatan ikan lele dumbo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pemberian probiotik pada pakan buatan dengan dosis berbeda terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik, sintasan, dan rasio konversi pakan ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus). Eksperimen dilakukan di Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Bosowa, Makassar, dan berlangsung selama 2 bulan. Eksperimen menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Probiotik EM4 dipilih sebagai suplemen probiotik dan dibagi menjadi empat dosis perlakuan yang berbeda meliputi perlakuan A (5 mL per 100 g pakan), perlakuan B (10 mL per 100 g pakan), perlakuan C (15 mL per 100 g pakan), dan perlakuan D (kontrol). Sebanyak 120 ekor benih ikan lele dumbo diberi pakan dua kali setiap pukul 07.00 dan 18.00 dengan dosis pemberian pakan sebanyak 5% dari bobot tubuh ikan lele. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan setiap minggu untuk mencatat bobot dan panjang tubuh ikan lele. Analisis varians menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dari suplementasi probiotik EM4 pada laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan rasio konversi pakan ikan lele dumbo. Namun, hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa 15 mL per 100 g pakan tidak meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan mutlak dan sintasan secara signifikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa suplementasi probiotik 15 mL per 100 g pakan dalam pakan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan lele dumbo.
