Abstract

This study aims to analyze CNN Indonesia's framing of the figure of Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa in national economic news during the period of September 10-November 6, 2025, as well as reveal the technopolitical values represented through the construction of the media. The approach used is qualitative descriptive with the framing analysis method of Robert N. Entman (1993), which includes four dimensions: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgment, and suggest remedies. The data was obtained from CNN Indonesia's news on economic channels and analyzed by linking the theory of Representation (Stuart Hall, 1997), Technopolitics (Andrew Feenberg, 1999), and Media Political Economy (Vincent Mosco, 2009) as an interpretive framework. The results of the study show that CNN Indonesia frames Purbaya as a rational, professional, and scientific technocrat figure who plays a role in maintaining national economic stability. Through this framing, the media forms the image of Purbaya as a symbol of economic policy credibility and government legitimacy, by prioritizing objective narratives and depoliticizing economic issues. The analysis of representation reveals that the media uses symbols, language, and digital technology to create an image of technocracy that is integrated with power, while the media's approach to political economy shows that the news is inseparable from the ownership structure and market orientation that play a role in determining the direction of national economic discourse. The conclusion of this study is that CNN Indonesia's coverage of the figure of Purbaya reflects symbolic technopolitical practices, where power, technology, and scientific rationality combine to form the legitimacy of the government's economic policies. The implications of this study confirm the importance of the role of the media in maintaining a balance between the objectivity of news and the critical responsibility for power, so that the media continues to function as a reflective and democratic public spaceKeywords: Framing, CNN Indonesia, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Technopolitics, Political Economy of the Media.

Abstract

Pembangunan desa tidak dapat dilepaskan dari peran pemuda sebagai motor penggerak perubahan sosial yang strategis. Karang Taruna, sebagai organisasi kepemudaan di tingkat desa, seharusnya menjadi katalis dalam penyelenggaraan layanan sosial yang partisipatif dan inklusif. Namun, kenyataannya banyak Karang Taruna menghadapi stagnasi akibat rendahnya kapasitas manajerial dan literasi digital. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mentransformasi peran Karang Taruna “Sipakalabbiri” di Desa Bonto Daeng, Kecamatan Ulu Ere, Kabupaten Bantaeng melalui pengembangan sistem Karang Taruna Digital Service (KTDS). Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif dan pendampingan teknis aplikatif yang disertai evaluasi formatif dan sumatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam partisipasi anggota, pemanfaatan platform digital, serta penguatan kapasitas manajerial organisasi. KTDS terbukti efektif dalam membangun ekosistem digital yang meningkatkan transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan kolaborasi antara Karang Taruna, pemerintah desa, dan masyarakat. Program ini memberikan manfaat nyata berupa peningkatan literasi digital, citra positif organisasi, serta keterlibatan pemuda dalam layanan sosial yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, KTDS berpotensi direplikasi di desa lain sebagai model inovasi sosial berbasis teknologi informasi yang mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs).

Abstract

This research is a Pre Experimental Design research and uses the One Group Design research design. The population in this study were all three classes of SMAIT Albiruni Makassar students registered in 2019/2020 with a total of 49 respondents. The instrument used was a test, analyzed using descriptive hypothesis submission techniques and associative hypothesis testing in collecting processed data. The results of data processing and analysis concluded that: 1) The results of learning Arabic for SMAIT Albiruni Mandiri Makassar students without using Google Classroom, 45% of students are in the low category, 12% are in the medium category, 33% are in the high category and 10% is in the very high category. 2) Arabic Learning Outcomes of Students of SMAIT Albiruni Mandiri Makassar using Google Classroom, 14% are in the low category, 29% are in the medium category, 43% are in the high category and 14% are in the very high category. 3) Based on the results of the analysis, it is proven that there are differences in Arabic learning outcomes by using google classroom based learning media.Arabic Learing Media, google classroom, learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence, transformational leadership, and work engagement on employee job satisfaction at the Regional Revenue Agency of Batam City, Indonesia. Employee job satisfaction is a critical factor in improving organizational performance, particularly in public sector institutions that face high administrative demands and service responsibilities. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a causal associative design. The population consisted of all civil servants working at the Regional Revenue Agency of Batam City, totaling 67 employees, and a saturated sampling technique was applied, resulting in 67 respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measured using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Employees with higher emotional intelligence are better able to manage work pressure, maintain interpersonal relationships, and adapt to organizational demands. Transformational leadership was also found to have a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, highlighting the importance of inspirational motivation, individual consideration, and intellectual stimulation in enhancing employees’ positive attitudes toward their work. Furthermore, work engagement significantly influences job satisfaction, as employees who demonstrate vigor, dedication, and absorption tend to experience higher levels of satisfaction in their jobs. Simultaneously, emotional intelligence, transformational leadership, and work engagement have a significant combined effect on employee job satisfaction, with an adjusted R-square value of 0.989. This indicates that 98.9% of the variation in job satisfaction can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 1.1% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The findings suggest that public organizations should prioritize the development of emotional intelligence, effective transformational leadership practices, and employee engagement to enhance job satisfaction and organizational performance.
