Abstract

The digital era affects students' attitudes toward utilizing applications as learning media. This phenomenon can be used to boost student achievement, but it can also have negative consequences, such as chatting while studying or cheating on school exams. To support the positive and reduce the negative impact of smartphone use, it is necessary to supervise this activity. The supervision can be done by utilizing a camera to detect a smartphone. The YOLOv5 algorithm was used, which is known for its good speed and accuracy in object detection. This smartphone detection system can be controlled, so the application is adjustable to the needs of learning activities. Collecting a dataset, annotating, training objects, writing program code, and testing the system are all stages in the development of this system. The dataset used in this research consists of 1,038 smartphone images from the internet and camera-captured images. This detection system was built to assist teachers in monitoring the use of smartphones by students. The results of this model training are 77.7% mean average precision, 93.2% precision rate, and 71.7% recall rate under varying lighting conditions.

Abstract

Lebaran atau hari raya idul fitri merupakan jalan menuju fitrah dan bersih setelah umat muslim menjalankan puasa selama sebulan. Lebaran juga memiliki hubungan dengan kondisi psikologis bagi sebagian orang, karena adanya persiapan menjelang lebaran yang berpotensi menyebabkan stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kondisi psikologis Masyarakat dalam persiapan menyambut lebaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Pengumpulan data ini dilakukan di desa Tri Kembang, Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat. Peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada empat orang informan dari kalangan bapak-bapak, ibu-ibu, anak-anak dan tokoh masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang cukup signifikan pada setiap kalangan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi perbedaan itu terjadi karena adanya perbedaan peran dan tanggung jawab pada setiap orang dalam persiapan menyambut lebaran. The celebration of Eid or Eid al-Fitr represents a means of fulfilling the Islamic obligation of fasting for a month, as well as a ritual of purification and renewal. Furthermore, Eid is associated with psychological conditions in some individuals due to the extensive preparations undertaken in the lead-up to the festival, which can potentially induce stress. The objective of this study is to ascertain the psychological state of the community in anticipation of Eid. This study employs qualitative research methods, utilising data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The data collection was conducted in Tri Kembang village, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The researchers conducted interviews with four informants, selected from among the fathers, mothers, children, and community leaders. The findings of this study demonstrate that notable discrepancies exist between the various groups. The results of the interviews and observations indicate that differences in roles and responsibilities among individuals contribute to variations in their approaches to preparing for the celebration of Eid.

Abstract

The need to utilize technology to increase the effectiveness of Islamic learning, especially in achieving academic goals and strengthening student learning motivation continues to increase and develop. Therefore, an online collaborative learning platform is implemented in learning so that the learning process continues to move forward. The aim of this research is to evaluate the impact of using an online collaborative learning platform on students' academic achievement and learning motivation in the context of Islamic Religious Education learning. The research method used is a quantitative approach. Academic achievement data is collected through periodic tests and assessments, while learning motivation data is collected through previously validated questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using appropriate statistical techniques. The research results show that the application of the online collaborative learning platform has a significant positive impact on students' academic achievement and learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education learning. Students who use the online collaborative learning platform show better improvements in understanding Islamic religious concepts and academic achievement in general. In addition, they also show higher levels of learning motivation and more active participation in learning. The conclusion of this research explains that the integration of online collaborative learning platforms in Islamic Religious Education learning has a positive impact on students, especially on students' academic achievement and learning motivation. This shows that the use of technology in the context of the Islamic religion can be an effective means of improving the quality of learning. Therefore, this research provides an important contribution to understanding the potential of technology in increasing the effectiveness of Islamic religious learning and emphasizes the importance of technology adoption in the context of Islamic religious education

Abstract

The gap year is uncommon in Indonesia, furthermore late adolescents are often perceived as having a low level of self-compassion and tend to compare themselves with others. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of social comparison on self-compassion in late adolescents undergoing a gap year. The research employed a quantitative method involving 349 late adolescents and utilized a non-probability sampling technique known as purposive sampling. This study utilized two research instruments: The Self-Comparison Scale, consisting of 25 items, and the Social Comparison Scale, consisting of 19 items. The results of the hypothesis test demonstrated that the F value was 136.421, with a p-value of 0.000 (p 0.05). The R square value was 0.282, and the standardized coefficient (β) was -0.531. As a result, the hypothesis was accepted, indicating that there is indeed an effect of social comparison on self-compassion in late adolescents undergoing a gap year. The contribution of social comparison to self-compassion was found to be 28.2%. The negative value of the standardization coefficient (β) suggests a negative correlation between social comparison and self-compassion. In simpler terms, lower levels of social comparison correspond to a higher level of self-compassion in individuals, and vice versa.

Abstract

Sejumlah data menunjukkan Indonesia termasuk negara yang memiliki angka pernikahan dini yang cukup tinggi di dunia. Data UNICEF per akhir tahun 2022 menunjukkan bahwa saat ini Indonesia berada di peringkat ke-8 di dunia dan ke-2 di ASEAN. Di Indonesia, pernikahan dini terjadi hampir di semua wilayah, termasuk di Pulau Madura, yang terjadi secara merata di empat kabupaten, termasuk Kabupaten Pamekasan. Menyadari hal tersebut, pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi pencegahan pernikahan dini pada santriwati Pondok Pesantren Assyafi’iyah, Desa Tamberu, Kecamatan Batu Marmar, Kabupaten Pamekasan-Madura.  Kegiatan ini melibatkan 43 santriwati yang berusia 13-15 tahun. Edukasi dilakukan dengan penyampaian materi pencegahan pernikahan dini yang dilanjutkan sesi diskusi dan permainan dengan membagi 5 kelompok. Hasil edukasi menunjukkan santriwati memiliki keinginan kuat untuk tidak melakukan pernikahan dini. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai tindak lanjut pimpinan pondok pesantren maupun pemerintah desa dalam mengeluarkan kebijakan terkait pencegahan pernikahan dini.

Abstract

Bengkalis is also one of the districts with quite a lot of immigrant communities as a result of which there is a lot of cultural mixing. And there are not a few people who follow the culture brought by migrants, so that it can trigger the songket weaving craft to be less appreciated by the local community. This research will discuss 5 songket weaving motifs which are quite familiar among the people, especially the people of Bengkalis. Which aims to find out what educational values are contained in it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and literature or documentation studies. While the selection of informants using purposive sampling technique. The Bengkalis Malay songket woven fabric has a variety of woven motifs or patterns ranging from flora, fauna, nature and others. These motifs have meanings that describe how the perspective of human life. In Riau, it has four weaving centers, namely in Indragiri Hulu, Rokan Hilir, Bengkalis and Siak. Each of these areas has a different basic motive. In the Bengkalis area, there are about 90 typical Malay motifs. In this study, five motifs that are well known among the public will be discussed, namely the bamboo shoots, ducks returning home, sentorak, elbow clouds and ants along. Riau Malay woven fabric is a fabric made by the handicrafts of the Malay people, which is done by the process of weaving threads interspersed with woven gold or silver threads with a certain variety of woven motifs or patterns. The variety of motifs and patterns of woven fabrics in Bengkalis is very diverse. And in each of these motifs there is a very close relationship between humans and nature, both animals and plants. For the Malays, the pattern is not only a mere decoration, but also used as a symbol or symbol that contains a certain meaning and philosophy which contains the noble values of the local culture

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the PAI teacher's learning strategy is, how the students' morals are after the teaching and learning process, and what PAI teacher's learning strategy is effective in building students' morals at SD Negeri 03 Seberang Musi. This study uses a naturalistic qualitative research type, namely a type of research that examines data that describes complex and concrete social realities. In addition, this study uses data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions which are carried out during data collection. The results of this study are that the PAI teacher's learning strategy in building students' morals at SD Negeri 03 Seberang Musi is quite good because the PAI teacher carries out varied learning strategies during the teaching and learning process and is also able to be a role model and at the same time provide good examples to his students, then always provides Directions - Directions of advice that are useful for students such as how we enter the house first to say hello, then how we respect the old and love the young, this is what the PAI teacher conveys to his students.

Abstract

This research analyzes illocutionary speech acts in the speech of Raditya Dika and Henry Manampiring on YouTube social media, which aims to describe the form of illocutionary speech acts used by Raditya Dika and Henry Manampiring. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using the technique of watching and taking notes on YouTube videos. According to the theory used, namely Searle's theory. The research results show that Raditya Dika and Henry Manampiring use various forms of illocutionary speech acts, including assertive, directive, expressive, commissive and declarative. Assertive speech acts are the most dominant, reflecting the speaker's beliefs conveyed descriptively and informatively. This research provides in-depth insight into how to communicate and interact via social media platforms and can be a reference for further pragmatic research, especially regarding illocutionary speech acts.  Keywords: speech act; illocutionary; YouTube; pragmatics.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of sharia cooperatives in the economic development of the batik industry in Pekalongan Regency, an area known as the center of the batik industry in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach through a case study method, this research focuses on the aspects of sharia-based financing, entrepreneurship training, and market network strengthening. The results show that sharia cooperatives have a significant contribution in improving the productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of batik businesses. Islamic cooperatives provide access to usury-free financing, support sharia-based financial education, and assist businesses in preparing financial reports in accordance with accounting principles. However, Islamic cooperatives face various challenges, including limited human resources, access to capital, and a lack of public understanding of the principles of Islamic economics. This study emphasizes the importance of strategic support from the government and other stakeholders to strengthen the role of Islamic cooperatives in supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat telah mengubah dunia pendidikan secara mendalam. Di satu sisi, teknologi memberikan kemudahan dan memperluas akses informasi, namun di sisi lain, teknologi berisiko menggerus nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang fundamental. Penelitian ini mengkaji pentingnya menemukan keseimbangan antara inovasi teknologi dan pengembangan karakter dalam dunia pendidikan. Pendidikan humanistik, yang fokus pada perkembangan individu secara menyeluruh, diajukan sebagai solusi untuk masalah ini. Dengan menekankan pengembangan empati, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan tanggung jawab sosial, pendidikan humanistik dapat mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan dalam era digital yang kompleks. Penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi berbagai pendekatan pedagogis yang dapat mendukung penerapan pendidikan humanistik, seperti transmisi budaya, refleksi nilai, klarifikasi prinsip, dan pengembangan kognitif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan seharusnya tidak hanya sebatas proses transfer pengetahuan. Pendidikan juga harus berfokus pada pembentukan karakter individu yang berbudi pekerti, kreatif, dan kritis.
