Abstract

The era of globalization requires the industry to create competitive advantage. One of the factors that affect competitive advantage, which tend to be controlled is the internal factors of the company / industry, the factors concerning the performance of inputs (resources used to produce the output), the performance of the process and the performance of output (products / outputs of the process). In order for a company / industry excels in the competition, it takes a model of demand forecasting and aggregate production planning model to help companies / industry in planning its production activities. For the purpose of this study was to determine the projected demand for products and to know the optimum batch size for each item of products in order to meet the needs of the operational planning of production.With the acquisition of the projected demand for products and optimum batch sizes for each product item, the next company can perform various calculations for the needs of enterprise production planning so as to improve the performance of the process input or output of production, and excel in the competitive industry.

Abstract

Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) activities in the food industry requires a reliable decision model to support the effectiveness and efficiency of PPIC function. Master Production Scheduling / MPS is one of the PPIC decision model that aims to get the number of items that must be produced by the company to meet consumer demand based on its production capacity. This research had been done in the food industry with a case study on PT NIC bread industry, using Fuzzy Multi Objective Linear Programming Model as a decision model to determine the amount of production.This model is an optimization model that was developed by utilizing the modified S-curve membership function for Fuzzy Linear Programming problems with the aim of minimizing costs and maximizing production utilization. This model is reliable enough to improve the functioning of PPIC in the food industry.

Abstract

Intisari— Menghadapi persaingan industri yang semakin ketat, perusahaan penghasil produk kemasan plastik berusaha meningkatkan daya saingnya dengan meningkatkan performansinya. Performansi perusahaan penghasil produk kemasan plastik dalam hal peningkatan value ke customer dapat diukur melalui key performance indicators bagian quality assurance. Pencapaian key performance indicators quality assurance perlu dibuat sebuah model yang tepat untuk meningkatkan key performance indicators quality assurance melalui pendekatan lean manufacturing Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model lean manufacturing untuk meningkatkan key performance indicators quality assurance. Tahapan awal dimulai dari studi literatur lean manufacturing tools dan survei ke berbagai perusahaan kemasan plastik sehingga diperoleh data yang dibutuhkan dalam rancangan model. Rancangan model harus dilakukan validasi pada perusahaan penghasil produk kemasan plastik. Setiap model memberikan manfaat dan dapat digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah mengenai tidak tercapainya key performance indicators quality assurance. Hasil rancangan model terdiri dari sub model 1 (current key performance indicators quality assurance), sub model 2 (current defect customer complaint), sub model 3 (lean manufacturing tools ) dan sub model 4 (future total complaint, future reject retur, future repeat issue, future resolution time dan future key performance indicators quality assurance). Diharapkan rancangan model lean manufacturing dapat menjadi solusi bagi perusahaan penghasil produk kemasan plastik untuk meningkatkan key performance indicators quality assurance.Abstract— Facing increasingly fierce industry competition, companies that produce plastic packaging products try to improve their competitiveness by increasing their performance. The performance of companies producing plastic packaging products in terms of increasing value to customers can be measured through the key performance indicators of the quality assurance section. Achievement of key performance indicators of quality assurance needs to be made an appropriate model to improve key performance indicators of quality assurance through a lean manufacturing approach. This study aims to design a lean manufacturing model to achieve key performance indicators of quality assurance. The initial stage starts from the study of lean manufacturing tools literature and surveys to various plastic packaging companies in order to obtain the data needed in the design of the model. The design of the model must be validated at the companies producing plastic packaging products. Each model provides benefits and can be used to solve problems regarding not achieving key performance indicators of quality assurance. The results of the model design consist of sub model 1 (current key performance indicators quality assurance), sub model 2 (current defect customer complaints), sub model 3 (lean manufacturing tools) and sub model 4 (future total complaints, future reject returns, future repeat issue, future resolution time and future key performance indicators quality assurance). It is hoped that the design of lean manufacturing models can be a solution for companies producing plastic packaging products to achieve key performance indicators of quality assurance.

Abstract

Intisari— CV ABC merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi lapisan dalam sepatu. Bahan baku utamanya adalah kain polyester dengan ketebalan beragam (0,5; 0,6; 0,7; 0,8; 1,2; 1,3; 1,5) mm. CV ABC tidak menggunakan metode tertentu dalam pemesanan bahan baku, sehingga mengakibatkan kadang kelebihan serta kadang kekurangan persediaan bahan baku. Pemesanan bahan baku yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan juga tidak teratur sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya penumpukan bahan baku di gudang. Penumpukan di gudang mengakibatkan penempatan bahan baku menjadi tidak teratur dan jumlah stok sulit dihitung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan jumlah persediaan yang sesuai dengan kapasitas gudang bahan baku berdasarkan Pengali Langrange serta memperbaiki rancangan tata letak gudang menggunakan metode Shared Storage. Mula-mula dilakukan perkiraan permintaan dengan pendekatan simulasi Monte Carlo. Tahap berikutnya adalah perhitungan lot pemesanan yang ekonomis dengan EOQ, optimasi kuantitas pemesanan dengan model persediaan pengali Lagrange. Hasil perhitungan akan menjadi dasar dalam pengaturan tata letak dengan menggunakan metode shared storage. Berdasarkan hasil optimasi dengan Pengali Lagrange, biaya persediaan dapat diturunkan hingga 34,13%. Selain itu, berdasarkan pengaturan ulang tata letak gudang, kapasitas gudang meningkat hingga 19,4%.Abstract— CV ABC is a company that manufactures layers in shoes. The main raw material is polyester fabric with varying thicknesses (0.5; 0.6; 0.7; 0.8; 1.2; 1.3; 1.5) mm. CV ABC does not use certain methods in ordering raw materials, resulting in sometimes excess and sometimes lack of raw material inventory. The ordering of raw materials made by the company is also irregular, causing a buildup of raw materials in the warehouse. Stacking in warehouses results in irregular placement of raw materials and difficult to calculate the amount of stock. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of inventory in accordance with the capacity of the warehouse of raw materials based on the Langrange Multiplier and improve the layout design of the warehouse using the Shared Storage method. First the demand estimation is carried out using a Monte Carlo simulation approach. The next step is the calculation of economical order lots with EOQ, optimization of order quantities with the Lagrange multiplier inventory model. The calculation results will be the basis in setting the layout using the shared storage method. Based on the results of optimization with the Lagrange Multiplier, inventory costs can be reduced by 34.13%. In addition, based on the rearrangement of the warehouse layout, warehouse capacity has increased to 19.4%.

Abstract

Intisari—Dengan Persaingan yang cukup ketat dalam dunia industri beton pracetak saat ini tentunya membuat PT.ABC sebagai manufaktur beton pracetak dituntut untuk dapat menghasilkan produk yang memenuhi ekspetasi pelanggan baik dari segi waktu dan kualitas. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut perlu dilakukan analisis pemborosan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Lean supply chain sehingga akan meningkatkan efisiensi sistem manufaktur. Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan menggambarkan aliran informasi perusahaan melalui tools Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Aktivitas Perusahaan akan di kelompokkan dalam value added, non value added, dan necessary non value added. Dari pemetaan VSM terlihat pemborosan banyak terjadi di aliran rantai pasok. Hal ini terlihat dari Terjadinya keterlambatan kedatangan material utama dari supplier mengakibatkan proses terhenti, Perubahan rencana produksi yang mendadak, Terganggunya penjadwalan produksi yang disebabkan oleh lead time yang panjang. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya yang efektif dan efisien untuk meminimasi pemborosan di aliran rantai pasok agar dapat memenuhi ekspetasi pelanggan. Penelitian ini berhasil merinci besar value added time adalah 2.025 menit, total necessary but non value added time adalah 335 menit sehingga total supply chain lead time adalah 2.360 menit.Abstract— With the strict competition in the precast concrete industry at this time, causing PT.ABC as a precast concrete manufacturing is required to be able to produce products that meet customer expectations both of time and quality. To achieve this, a waste analysis needs to be done using the Lean supply chain approach so that it will improve the efficiency of the manufacturing system. This approach is carried out by describing the flow of company information through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) tools. Company activities will be classification in value added, non value added, and necessary non value added. From the VSM mapping it is seen that a lot of waste occurs in the supply chain flow. This can be seen from the delay in the arrival of main material from the supplier resulting in the process stalled, a sudden change in production plans, disruption of production scheduling caused by a long lead time. Therefore, effective and efficient efforts are needed to minimize waste in the supply chain flow in order to meet customer expectations. This research succeeded in detailing the value added time is 2,025 minutes, the total necessary but non value added time is 335 minutes so that the total supply chain lead time is 2,360 minutes.

Abstract

Intisari— PT ABC menghasilkan berbagai macam produk aluminium ingot sekunder yang kemudian didistribusikan pada produsen otomotif roda dua dan roda empat di Indonesia dengan standar kualitas yang tinggi. Bahan baku utama pada produksi aluminium ingot sekunder adalah basemetal, scrap yang diperoleh dari pengepul barang rongsok serta bahan addictive seperti silikon dan tembaga. Saat ini perusahaan kurang optimal dalam menerapkan perencanaan produksi yang menyebabkan tidak maksimumnya pemanfaatan fasilitas produksi serta pemanfaatan penggunaan energi bahan bakar gas yang menyebabkan tingginya biaya produksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan hasil peramalan permintaan dan perencanaan produksi yang dapat menurunkan biaya produksi. Pada penelitian dilakukan perancangan model peramalan permintaan menggunakan metode Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan untuk mendapatkan proyeksi permintaan selama 3 periode mendatang. Selanjutnya dilakukan perencanaan produksi dengan menggunakan pendekatan Linier Programming yang telah mempertimbangkan ketersediaan sumber daya produksi sehingga dapat meningkatkan utilisasi fasilitas produksi dengan biaya produksi yang minimum. Berdasarkan rencana produksi dapat dilakukan perhitungan kebutuhan persediaan bahan baku pembentuk produk. Hasil peramalan dengan menggunakan metode Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan memberikan hasil peramalan permintaan dengan nilai error yang kecil. Hasil proyeksi permintaan untuk periode 1 adalah sebanyak 804.645 kg, periode 2 sebanyak 529.307 kg, dan periode 3 sebanyak 788.669 kg. Berikutnya, dengan menggunakan output hasil peramalan permintaan menggunakan JST, dilakukan perencanaan produksi yang memberikan solusi jumlah produksi yang optimal, yaitu untuk produk AC2C, ADC12 dan HD2 yang menghasilkan biaya produksi minimum. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan perencanaan produksi dapat ditentukan kebutuhan bahan baku basemetal, skrap dan addictive untuk mendukung operasional produksi pada perusahaan aluminium. Abstract— PT ABC produces a wide range of secondary aluminum ingot products which are then distributed to two-wheel and four-wheel automotive manufacturers in Indonesia with high quality standards. The main raw materials for the production of secondary aluminum ingots are base metal, scrap obtained from junk collectors and addictive materials such as silicon and copper. Currently the company is less than optimal in implementing production planning which causes the utilization of production facilities not to be maximized and the use of gas fuel energy which causes high production costs. The purpose of this research is to obtain the results of demand forecasting and production planning that can reduce production costs. In this research, the demand forecasting model is designed using the Artificial Neural Network method to obtain demand projections for the next 3 periods. Furthermore, production planning is carried out using a Linear Programming approach which has taken into account the availability of production resources so as to increase the utilization of production facilities with minimum production costs. Based on the production plan, it is possible to calculate the inventory requirements for raw materials forming the product. Forecasting results using the Artificial Neural Network method provide demand forecasting results with a small error value. The results of requests for period 1 were 804,645 kg, period 2 were 529,307 kg, and period 3 were 788,669 kg. Next, by using the output of demand forecasting using ANN, a production plan is carried out that provides the optimal production quantity solution, namely for AC2C, ADC12 and HD2 products that produce minimum production costs. Based on the calculation results of production planning, it can be determined the need for base metal, scrap and addictive raw materials to support production operations in aluminum companies.

Abstract

PT Asano Gear Indonesia (AGI) merupakan salah satu industri komponen otomotif di Indonesia yang berlokasi di Jakarta Utara. Dalam menjalankan usahanya tentunya perusahaan menghadapi beberapa persoalan keputusan, baik di level strategis, taktis maupun operasional.  Berdasarkan hasil diskusi dan survei awal, permasalahan keputusan  yang sedang dipertimbangkan oleh perusahaan diantaranya adalah  keputusan untuk  memindahkan lokasi pabrik dan keputusan untuk pembelian mesin produksi.  Pengambilan keputusan merupakan hal yang penting bagi kelangsungan sebuah perusahaan. Metode-metode pengambilan keputusan merupakan suatu pendekatan untuk dapat membuat keputusan lebih sistematis, dapat diukur dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai konsep dasar pengambilan keputusan, faktor-faktor yang harus diperhatikan dan penggunaan beberapa metode dalam Pengambilan keputusan. Materi yang disampaikan mengenai pengambilan keputusan, terbagi menjadi dua bagian utama yaitu, konsep dasar pengambilan keputusan dan teknik-teknik yang dapat digunakan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Berdasarkan evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan, lebih dari 75% peserta menyatakan isi pelatihan ini menarik dan bermanfaat. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan juga menyatakan keinginannya untuk diberikan pelatihan lanjutan. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi perusahaan maupun jurusan Teknik Industri terutama dalam pengembangan keilmuan analisis keputusan dan implementasinya di industri.

Abstract

Nowadays, competition among manufaktur industries is increasing rapidly. This competition causes similar industries to compete, including the automotive component industry. To win the competition, the automotive component manufaktur industry must carry out various repair methods. Improvements made include managing inventory, scheduling, delivery, quality management and eliminating waste. Based on observations, problems that often occur in the automotive component manufaktur industry are not achieving production output and unbalanced production lines so that problems such as waste and bootleneck arise. The purpose of this research is to design a model on the production line to increase production output and balance the production line. The method used to analyze and solve this problem is to design a conceptual model of Theory of Constraints (ToC). This method interprets structured and systematic stages to solve problems in the manufaktur industry. Based on the analysis, the results of this study produce a generic model that can be used in the automotive component industry. The models offered can increase production output, balance workloads and eliminate waste.

Abstract

Rest Area 72 A, in collaboration with the surrounding Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) community, manages chicken farms using the Open Cage concept. The chickens are allowed to roam in the field, which is bounded by a fence so that the chickens can actively move around the field. However, feeding chickens that are done manually causes problems and constraints because it  takes up time and effort; in addition, the chickens that roam everywhere at the time of feeding cause farmers to experience difficulties in distributing food, so the process of feeding chickens becomes hampered and risky. Therefore, a solution is proposed using a chicken feeding system with smart technology, which is relatively easier, efficient, safe, and scheduled. In this Community Service activity, training and demonstrations on using a smart feeder system were conducted for chicken farmers in Rest Area 72 A. The training is carried out by demonstrating how to operate the system and allowing participants to try it. The smart feeder system was realized using Arduino microcontroller technology with remote monitoring and control using the node MCU-based Internet of Things IOT with a monitoring application and control using smartphone Applications. The participants can understand well the application of this smart animal feed system to their chicken farms. Their understanding was measured by a questionnaire which showed that the knowledge and absorption of the participants before and after the training increased for the Good category from 80.00% to 86.67%.   ABSTRAK Rest Area 72 A bekerja sama dengan masyarakat Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) di sekitarnya mengelola peternakan ayam dengan menggunakan konsep Kandang Terbuka di mana ayam-ayam dibiarkan berkeliaran di lapangan yang dibatasi pagar sehingga ayam tersebut dapat aktif bergerak di sekitar lapangan. Akan tetapi pemberian pakan ayam yang dilakukan secara manual menimbulkan masalah dan kendala karena menyita waktu dan tenaga, selain itu ayam-ayam yang berkeliaran di mana-mana pada saat pemberian makan mengakibatkan peternak mengalami kesulitan dalam mendistribusikan makanan sehingga proses pemberian pakan ayam menjadi terhambat dan berisiko. Oleh karena itu diusulkan solusi menggunakan sistem pakan ternak ayam menggunakan teknologi pintar yang relatif lebih mudah, efisien, aman, dan terjadwal. Pada kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan pelatihan dan demonstrasi penggunaan sistem pakan ternak pintar kepada peternak ayam di wilayah Rest Area 72 A. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan mendemonstrasikan cara pengoperasian alat dan memberikan kesempatan kepada para peserta untuk mencobanya. Sistem pakan ternak pintar direalisasi dengan menggunakan teknologi mikrokontroler Arduino dengan pemantauan dan kendali jarak jauh menggunakan Internet of Thing IOT berbasis nodeMCU dengan aplikasi pemantauan dan pengendalian menggunakan Aplikasi pada telepon pintar. Peserta pelatihan dapat memahami dengan baik penerapan sistem pakan ternak pintar ini pada peternakan ayam mereka. Pemahaman peserta diukur dengan kuesioner yang memberikan hasil bahwa pengetahuan dan penyerapan peserta sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan meningkat untuk kategori Baik dari 80,00% menjadi 86,67%

Abstract

PT TIJ is a company that produces the local brand "LC," which is located in Depok, West Java. According to data for June-August 2022, there are significant product returns of around 1-7%, and a repair process is needed during production. Quality control at PT TIJ is carried out by checking goods one by one by supervisors and production operators. Recording quality problems is only done by labeling the products that need repair. The Quality Assurance (QA) department only records the number of products that need repair. Documentation of specific defects that often occur has never been done. Documentation is one of the essential things for quality control because quality data plays a significant role in making process improvement decisions. This PkM program is carried out by providing training materials for implementing an integrated system of sustainable quality management and the importance of quality data providing information related to problems in the production process. The conducted training increased the participants' knowledge regarding management and quality data. The usefulness of the training was confirmed directly to the participants through a questionnaire. The results showed that 77% of participants strongly agreed that the material was helpful, and 73% strongly agreed that the presenter delivered the quality management material well. Participants also provided suggestions regarding material for further assistance related to using a computer to use quality data analysis tools.
