Abstract

Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) merupakan Perguruan Tinggi pendidikan vokasi yang bergerak di bidang perkapalan dan teknologi. Salah satu faktor pendukung tercapainya Visi PPNS untuk menjadi Politeknik Unggul Bereputasi Global di bidang Maritim dan penunjangnya adalah reputasi dan kualitas proses pembelajaran yang baik. Hal ini mendorong PPNS untuk membangun mekanisme pengelolaan pembelajaran dalam pola pikir sistem. Untuk mendukung program pendidikan yang ada di PPNS, Kompetensi dosen sangat diperlukan dalam proses pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan data pendukung salah satunya yaitu melalui kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap kinerja dosen, khususnya dalam proses pendidikan dan pengajaran. Pengolahan data tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan metode algorima K-Means. Berdasarkan hasil cluster Dengan K-Means didapatkan empat kelompok. Cluster pertama, adalah kelompok dosen dengan nilai Pedagogik, profesional, kepribadian, dan sosial paling rendah dengan rata-rata EPD 2,38, cluster kedua memiliki EPD dengan rata-rata 3,04, cluster ketiga memiliki EPD dengan rata-rata 3,31, dan cluster keempat memiliki rata-rata EPD tertinggi mencapai 3,55.

Abstract

EDM is a non-conventional machining process with feeding material carried out by electric spark (spark) through a gap between the electrode and the workpiece containing liquid in the electric. The usefulness of the liquid is as a medium for rinsing the remnants of erosion material, electrodes and workpieces as electrical conductors. In the manufacturing industry, EDM is widely used for the manufacture of products that demand the quality of surface roughness resulting from smooth cutting and high precision. The Taguchi method is one method in experimental design that can be used to control product quality. This study considers 3 parameters, namely gap voltage, on time, and off time on the SKD-11 material as one of the 13 mm thick dies / dies. This study uses the Taguchi method to obtain optimal parameters with smaller criteria better. Based on the table above the highest voltage parameter gap at level 1 which is 30 volts, the parameters at the most agreed time at level 3 are 120 μs and the most difficult off time parameter to be reached at level 1 is 20 μs to roughness. EDM adalah suatu proses permesinan yang bersifat non konvensional dengan pemakanan material benda kerja yang dilakukan oleh loncatan bunga api listrik (spark) melalui celah antara elektroda dan benda kerja yang berisi cairan di elektrik. Kegunaan cairan tersebut adalah sebagai medium untuk flushing sisa-sisa partikel material hasil erosi,pendinginan elektroda dan benda kerja serta sebagai konduktor listrik. Dalam industri manufaktur, EDM banyak digunakan untuk pembuatan produk-produk yang menuntut kualitas kekasaran permukaan hasil pemotongan yang halus dan kepresisian yang tinggi. Metode Taguchi merupakan salah satu metode dalam desain eksperimen yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan kualitas produk. Penelitian ini mempertimbangkan 3 parameter yaitu gap voltage, on time, dan off time pada pengerjaan material SKD-11 sebagai salah satu bahan pembuatan cetakan/dies dengan tebal 13 mm. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Taguchi untuk mendapatkan parameter yang optimum dengan kriteria smaller is better. Berdasarkan tabel diatas parameter gap voltage paling berpengaruh pada level 1 yaitu 30 volt, parameter on time paling berpengaruh pada level 3 yaitu 120 µs dan parameter off time paling berpengaruh pada level 1 yaitu 20 µs terhadap kekasaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujan untuk merancang layout PT. X untuk meminimalkan jarak tempuh material handling. Perusahaan membuka plant baru dengan memindahkan mesin lama pada pabrik baru serta mendatangkan mesin baru (L3030). Dengan demikian, pengaturan penempatan mesin dan perencanaan layout harus direncanakan dengan hati-hati karena perusahaan menggunakan sistem jobshop sehingga waktu dapat digunakan secara maksimal untuk proses pemesinan. Solusi untuk perusahaan adalah rekayasa tata letak mesin CNC Laser Trumpf L3030 dan penataan fasilitas produksi menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). Prosedur re-layout terdiri dari tiga langkah: menganalisis tata letak awal, merancang alternatif tata letak berdasarkan SLP, mengevaluasi dan memilih tata letak alternatif dengan teknik perbandingan biaya. Peningkatan efisiensi material handling dan pengurangan moving distance diperoleh dari alternatif Layout 1. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan penurunan moving distance hingga 28,5%, dan pengurangan total biaya material handling hingga 18.4% dari tata letak awal.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry in Indonesia is increasing along with the level of diverse human needs and triggering the development of technology, one of which is the machining process industry. Good product quality can be seen from the level of surface roughness, because surface roughness can affect performance related to the functional aspects of the product. In this study, analyzed the optimization of CNC milling parameters setting to surface roughness with 8 mm HSS end mill. S50C materials are widely used in manufacturing machinery such as mechanical base plate, gears, standart puch heads and other machine components. This research uses the Taguchi method. The Parameter used are spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut with coolant as a constant variabel. The optimum parameters for surface roughness is obtained as spindle speed of 1100 rpm, feed rate of 46 mm/min and 0.5 depth of cut. With a significance level of 0.1 indicating that spindle speed has a significance effect with a contribution of 38.41% followed by feed rate of 34.16%

Abstract

Penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada salah satu industri kemasan di Jawa Timur masih belum dilakukan dengan optimal sehingga berdampak pada tingginya angka kecelakaan kerja. Mayoritas kecelakaan kerja disebabkan oleh perilaku tidak aman yang dipicu oleh rendahnya safety behavior. Pengaruh safety leadership terhadap safety behavior diketahui sangat kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh safety leadership meliputi safety motivation, safety concern, dan safety policy terhadap safety behavior. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan menggunakan desain cross-sectional. Total populasi pekerja pada divisi jumbo bag sebanyak 91 pekerja. Sedangkan responden yang digunakan sebanyak 75 pekerja yang telah dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin dari total populasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode simple random sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini meliputi safety motivation, safety concern, dan safety policy, sedangkan variabel dependen meliputi safety behavior. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner tertutup berskala likert. Data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa safety motivation (p=0,045), safety concern (p=0,004), dan safety policy (p=0,019) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan secara parsial terhadap variabel dependen berupa safety behavior.

Abstract

The examination was directed utilizing 3D Printer FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) Ender-3 Pro with different mixes of boundaries. Choice of boundaries for 3 kinds of boundaries (Layer level, infill example, and spout temperature), every boundary fluctuated by 3 varieties. The material utilized is ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) material. The examination strategy utilizes the Taguchi technique. Plan of Experiment involving the Taguchi technique as an orthogonal matrix L9(34) with three replications. The resulting response is only surface roughness. Tests produce the ideal boundaries: layer height 0.1 mm, infill pattern is line pattern and nozzle temperature 240°C. The layer height parameter result a contribution percentage of 99,63%, infill pattern 0,04%, and nozzle temperature 0,15%.

Abstract

This article presents considerations made to show how important it is to use current information to help make a decision. we are currently faced with major social and technological challenges. The main purpose of this discussion is to gain knowledge about the level of use of information technology to create geographic information systems or visual maps of fishery potential in East Java and advantages of GIS in fishing industry. Studies are based on the idea of the need to implement measures aimed at the development and enhancement of fishery potential. The methodological basis for the discussion is an analysis of the literature and case studies.

Abstract

The preparation of standards and procedures for the production process in the manufacturing industry plays an important role in achieving acceptable products and in accordance with the desired quality. Based on the data from the quality control report of a foundry company, casting defects slightly exceed the maximum reject rate. It was found that the moisture content in the molding sand produced according to the procedure exceeded the maximum water content in the molding sand. The research was conducted as an effort to improve the quality of the company's production in reducing reject products. Permeability values of molding sand and quantitative area of cast defects will be compared, as a variations of bentonite and molasses binders , in three variations of the percentage addition of binder, respectively: 1, 3, and 5%. The Anova Two Way approach was used to statistically assess the results of the permeability test of the test specimens to ensure the effect of the predictor variables on the response. The results indicated that the more molasses, 5% added to the molding sand, gave the highest permeability of 53.50 ± 0.50 cm3/minute and gave the lowest cast defect area of 11.97%. The addition of bentonite binder produces a phenomenon that is inversely proportional to the addition of molasses binder.

Abstract

The manufacturing process consists of several stages, one of them is the finishing stage. The finishing stage at PT. Supra Surya Indonesia consists of surface preparation process and painting process. The adhesion of the paint must meet the criteria to get good protective quality for the product. In the painting process, there are always defective products that must go through the repair stage before packing. Process parameters such as cleanliness level of the material surface and paint thickness need to be considered and the selection of the type of paint will affect the results of painting. Based on the problems above, it is necessary to research the analysis of process parameters that can optimize the value of paint adhesion. This study uses the Taguchi method so that the contribution of cleanliness parameters is 49.6995 %, paint thickness is 5.0014 %, and paint type is 40.4139 %. The optimum combination of parameters is cleanliness Sa 2 1/2, the thickness of 100 µm, and the type of phenolic epoxy paint.

Abstract

Quality is an important factor for people in selecting and enjoying a product or service in addition to competitive prices. Therefore, for companies to survive and maintain its existence, it is required to remain continuously maintain and improve the quality of the products or services they offer. PT. X is a company engaged in the steel plating with Hot Dip Galvanize method. In the implementation of quality control in PT. X, after analysis on coating processes steel material elbow 50 x 50 x 5 (mm) in length 2000 mm Type SS540 processed vertically in the period January - December 2014. By using SPC method, that is especially by calculation using the map control x̅, R and S is still a point of being out of control that indicates the thickness of the coating out of provisions. However, the number of points out of the control limits is still relatively small. However, PT. X must remain continuously maintain and improve the quality of their products and services by taking into account four factors that influence the final armor plating that is the human factor, the factor labor process, machine factors and material factor.
