Abstract

At the Sukodono molding company which produces Bioring cone cups using injection molding machines, a trial and error process to obtain parameter setting values on the machine is still applied in the early stages of production. This problem is detrimental to the company because they have to bear the production burden due to production delays. A solution is needed to optimize injection parameters with cycle time response. Therefore, this study proposes an analysis of the application of the Taguchi method by utilizing the signal for noise ratio to determine the influence of factors and also to optimize parameter such as temperature, pressure, and cooling time for the production process. The trial results show that the ideal blend of factors includes injection pressure parameters at level 1 with a value of 80 bar, injection temperature at level 2 in value of 225°C, and cooling time in level one with a value of 0.1 seconds.

Abstract

A work accident is an unwanted and unanticipated event that can result in loss of life or property. The high incidence of work accidents can be caused by a lack of worker awareness of work safety. One of the elements in the PRECEDE-PROCEED behavior change theory, namely enabling factors, are factors that facilitate behavior or activities, such as providing facilities and infrastructure for workers to prevent work accidents. This study aims to ascertain the effect of enabling factors consisting of the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and training on safety awareness and adherence to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in plastic sack industry workers. This research is analytic using the PLS-SEM method. In this study, 81 participants were selected using a proportionate random sampling technique so that the number of samples used was comparable to the population in each sub-group using a questionnaire. Significant influences were observed in the results regarding the relationship between enabling factors and compliance with the utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) (p-value = 0.000), as well as safety awareness (p-value = 0.000). Additionally, a significant influence was found between safety awareness and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (p-value = 0.019). Moreover, enabling factors were determined to influence compliance with PPE utilization through awareness (p-value = 0.035).

Abstract

Power Plant Repair Service Engineering Supporting Workers are workers who provide service solution services such as Maintenance and Overhaul of power plants. In practice, work placements tend to move according to the needs of the maintenance schedule, as well as the demands for completion of work which tend to be short resulting in continuous overtime work during the work period. Based on the results of measuring psychological factors in 2022 at work, it is known that workers have an excess of quantitative and qualitative burdens and role ambiguity as the dominant triggersv that cause work stress/burnout/fatigue. From the explanation above, there is a potential indication of multidimensional fatigue due to work which is hypothesized to have a influence with job insecurity. This study aims to analyze whether or not there is a influence between latent variables in this case job insecurity on multidimensional fatigue through the AMOS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method in order to obtain overall test results for the constructs tested. The test results show that Job Insecurity has a significant effect on all indicators (Concerns About Transferring to Another Job (JI1), Concerns About Changes in Job Descriptions (JI2), Concerns About Work Schedules (JI33), Concerns About Decreases in Salary (JI4) and Concern About Job Prospects (JI5)) with (p-value = 0.001) and Job Insecurity have a significant effect on Multidimensional Work-related Fatigue (p-value = 0.001)

Abstract

The railroad manufacturing industry continues improving all aspects to support business processes. The increase that occurred was accompanied by an increase in work accidents as well. By changing the mindset of individuals into a new paradigm that is focused on safety behavior, it is able to improve the OHS culture. Through implementing and improving safety behavior, it is hoped that it will be able to form K3 cultured workers. This study aims to analyze the effect of safety leadership (safety motivation, safety concern, and safety policy) on safety behavior (safety compliance and safety participation). The measurement instrument for this study was to use a questionnaire with a total of 128 workers as respondents. The research questionnaire uses a Likert scale of 1 (strongly disagree) – 4 (strongly agree). The results of the primary data were then processed and analyzed using multiple linear regression methods with the help of statistical data processing software. Before carrying out multiple linear regression analysis, validity and reliability tests were carried out using a random sample of 50 respondents. After it was found that the instrument was valid and reliable, then multiple linear regression was performed starting with the classical assumption test, simultaneous significance test (F test), and individual parameter significance test (T test). Furthermore, the results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that all variables from safety leadership have an effect on safety compliance. Based on the data, the p-value results were obtained for safety motivation (0.047), safety concern (0.000), dan safety policy (0.000). Meanwhile, there are only two variables from safety leadership that influence safety participation, with p-values on safety motivation (0.043), safety concern (0.002), dan safety policy (0.000).

Abstract

Industri manufaktur tidak dapat lepas dari peran industri kemasan atau packaging. Perusahaan packaging ini merupakan salah satu industri manufaktur pembuatan karung plastik dengan hasil produksi berupa woven bag dan jumbo bag. Rata-rata total produksi jumbo bag mencapai 9.312 pcs per bulan. Banyaknya jumlah produksi tentu saja harus disertai dengan kinerja yang baik agar produk tidak mengalami kegagalan. Kinerja karyawan dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor individual, yang mana dalam penelitian ini faktor individual terdiri atas kualitas tidur dan motivasi kerja. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari faktor individual berupa kualitas tidur dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan yang diintervensi melalui kualitas leadership. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) dengan sampel sebanyak 75 orang. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil, antara lain: 1) Kualitas tidur memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel kualitas leadership (p-value=0,012), namun motivasi kerja tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas leadership (p-value=0,824), 2) Kualitas tidur dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (p-value=0,003 pada kualitas tidur dan p-value=0,000 pada motivasi kerja), 3) Kualitas leadership tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (p-value=0,936), 4) Kualitas tidur dan motivasi kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui kualitas leadership (p-value=0,945 pada kualitas tidur dan p-value=0,988 pada motivasi kerja).

Abstract

Penelitian ini akan membuat analisis faktor perikanan laut dan perairan umum di Jawa Timur. Analisis ini merupakan kelanjutan dari pemetaan sektor perikanan Kabupaten/Kota di Jawa Timur dengan menggunakan Fuzzy K-means. Analisis faktor adalah sebuah teknik yang digunakan untuk mencari faktor-faktor yang mampu menjelaskan hubungan atau korelasi antara berbagai indikator independen yang diobservasi. Tujuan dari analisis faktor adalah untuk menggambarkan hubunganhubungan kovarian antara beberapa variabel yang mendasari tetapi tidak teramati, kuantitas random yang disebut faktor . Berdasarkan analisis faktor dengan menggunakan analisis factor maka didapatkan bahwa 70,150% persoalan perikanan laut yang terdiri dari Sembilan variabel bergantung pada duafaktor utama dan saling independen. Sedangkan analisis faktor untuk perariran umum didapatkan bahwa 70,144% persoalan perairan umum yang terdiri dari Sembilan variabel bergantung pada dua factor utama dan saling independen. Proses analisis faktor ini melalui proses rotasi dengan varimax.

Abstract

Alat navigasi Inmarsat Mini C Mobile Earth Station Felcom 16 pada kapal kargo KM Amrta Jaya 1 digunakan sebagai tanda bahaya darurat pada kapal apabila mengalami kecelakaan, pembajakan di laut. Ketika suatu pesan tersebut dipancarkan maka gelombang sinyal terkirim melalui satelit yang diterima oleh stasiun pemancar ke aparat keamanan di laut. Banyaknya crew kapal tidak paham akan pemasangan antena Inmarsat sesuai prosedur yang menyebabkan kondisi sinyal menjadi tidak stabil. Sistem kerja dari Inmarsat Mini C ketika communication unit menghasilkan suatu gelombang sinyal. Gelombang sinyal akan menuju ke antena untuk dipancarkan ke satelit. Satelit menerima sinyal dan feedback dikirim ke antena. Sinyal diterima antena dan dikirim ke communication unit yang akan ditampilkan melalui monitor. Kondisi sinyal stabil dan terbebas dari interferensi proses pengiriman pesan bisa dilakukan. Data pengujian antena Inmarsat yang diambil dan diolah menggunakan metode statistik ANOVA. Pengujian mean descriptive pada pengujian antena pemasangan dan instalasi sesuai prosedur nilai kuat sinyal sebesar 38 dB dengan persentase pengujian 32 %. Pengujian metode ANOVA memiliki nilai distribusi F sebesar 2,424 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.094.Pengujian interferensi GPS memiliki perbedaan signifikan terhadap perubahan sinyal dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.081 dibawah nilai taraf signifikansi sebesar (< 0,1).

Abstract

PPNS adalah Perguruan Tinggi Vokasi yang terus memberikan pelayanan optimal kepada para pemangku kepentingan. Sesuai dengan fungsinya, penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi mahasiswa dan menghasilkan lulusan yang menguasai IPTEK. Pengukuran kualitas pelayanan adalah elemen penting untuk menyediakan layanan yang lebih baik, efisien, dan efektif. Oleh karena itu, kualitas pelayanan harus dimulai dari kebutuhan konsumen dan berakhir pada persepsi mereka terhadap kualitas layanan yang diberikan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat kematangan pelayanan di PPNS melalui indeks kepuasan masyarakat. Aktivitas ini mencakup penyusunan instrumen, penentuan metode pengukuran, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta penyajian hasil survei kepuasan masyarakat. Survei dibatasi pada tiga unit layanan yaitu sarana prasarana pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran indeks kepuasan masyarakat untuk layanan tersebut, PPNS memperoleh nilai IKM sebesar 3,00 yang masuk dalam kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan di PPNS sudah bagus dan perlu terus ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Printing in three dimensions is becoming increasingly vital for vocational students. Incorporating 3D printing into vocational training courses and educational programs provides students with numerous benefits and prepares them for technical professions in various industries. This article aims to develop 3D printing training that is CAD-based for SMK Babat Lamongan. Students can experience real-world models of complex mathematical equations, graphs, and arrangements through 3D printing. It enables students with difficulty visualizing these concepts to comprehend them more readily. By learning 3D printing now, vocational students are preparing for the changing job market and global economy of the twenty-first century. This article shows that skills in 3D printing are precious for vocational students. They provide students with hands-on experience, foster creativity, and prepare them for technical vocations. Incorporating 3D printing into vocational education programs can give students the necessary skills for the future workforce.
