Abstract

This study examines the effect of Bayesian Optimization in improving the performance, computational efficiency, and sustainability of Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis models using Support Vector Machine (SVM). A dataset consisting of 988 customer reviews about Borobudur Temple, classified into six dimensions: Attractiveness, Facilities, Accessibility, Visual Image, Price, and Human Resources is used to compare two scenarios, namely Baseline SVM and SVM enhanced with Bayesian Optimization (BO). Important metrics used include accuracy, computational duration, energy usage, and carbon emissions. The results show that BO significantly improves accuracy, especially on difficult aspects such as Facilities (from 0.7294 to 0.8682) and Price (from 0.8047 to 0.9576). The most complicated aspect, namely visual image due to the very minimal number of datasets (unbalanced), achieved an increase in accuracy from 0.6729 to 0.72. In addition, BO reduces training time, especially for resource-intensive tasks such as the visual image aspect, reducing training time from 13.04 seconds to 9.4 seconds. Substantial reductions in energy consumption and CO₂ emissions are seen in line with sustainable machine learning principles. The hyperparameter adaptability of SVM, with linear kernels performing well in simpler tasks, while polynomial and sigmoid kernels improve performance for more complex parts. BO substantially alleviates the limitations of Baseline SVM, offering a robust, efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for ABSA. Future research can explore more enhancements for complex tasks to improve performance and efficiency.

Abstract

Tourism is a crucial sector in Indonesia's economic growth, particularly in Yogyakarta, contributing significantly to revenue, job creation, and infrastructure development. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the tourism industry, making tourist arrival forecasting crucial for effective government policy decision-making. This study aims to predict tourist arrivals in Yogyakarta using deep learning models, specifically the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithms, chosen for their ability to process time series data and address non-linearity issues. Tourist arrival data from the Yogyakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS) was used to train and test the model. Model evaluation was conducted using the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) metric to measure prediction accuracy. The results show that this model can accurately predict tourist arrival patterns, which can support strategic decision-making regarding the procurement of tourism facilities in Yogyakarta. The impact of this research is to provide practical benefits for local governments and tourism industry players in planning tourism promotion and management strategies. With more accurate predictions, relevant parties can prepare necessary resources and optimize tourism services according to projected visitor numbers.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi pengelolaan data asesmen yang masih bersifat manual, belum terintegrasinya sistem asesmen pembelajaran, serta keterbatasan pemahaman guru dalam memanfaatkan data asesmen sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan pembelajaran. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam mengelola asesmen pembelajaran berbasis data melalui pendampingan pemanfaatan big data sebagai bagian dari penguatan manajemen pendidikan modern. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah Sleman dengan melibatkan guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan kepala sekolah sebagai mitra sasaran.  Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan In–On–In, yang meliputi pelatihan awal, pendampingan praktik, serta penguatan dan refleksi. Intervensi dilakukan melalui pelatihan konsep asesmen berbasis data dan pembelajaran mendalam, pendampingan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, serta pengembangan dan uji coba Sistem Informasi Manajemen Data Asesmen (SIMDA Sekolah) dan Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis asesmen. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam memahami dan menerapkan asesmen berbasis data, yang ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan hasil pre–post test serta kemampuan guru dalam menyusun dan mengimplementasikan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis data. Seluruh peserta berhasil menyusun RPP berbasis pembelajaran mendalam dan melakukan simulasi pemanfaatan sistem asesmen digital. Selain itu, pengembangan awal SIMDA Sekolah dan LMS berbasis asesmen memberikan dasar bagi sekolah dalam mengelola data pembelajaran secara lebih terstruktur dan berkelanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan PkM ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penguatan kompetensi guru dan kesiapan sekolah dalam mengadopsi manajemen pembelajaran berbasis data. Pendampingan pemanfaatan big data terbukti relevan dan aplikatif untuk mendukung optimalisasi asesmen pembelajaran serta peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah mitra.

Abstract

Abstrak: Bullying, baik konvensional maupun digital, masih menjadi ancaman serius bagi kesejahteraan psikologis siswa. Rendahnya empati siswa serta keterbatasan kompetensi guru BK dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi membuat layanan pencegahan bullying belum optimal. Program PKM VIBES (Virtual Reality as a Bullying Prevention Strategy) bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru BK dalam merancang layanan berbasis virtual reality (VR). Kegiatan dilakukan melalui workshop berbentuk blended learning dengan mitra MGBK Kota Surakarta yang melibatkan 33 guru BK SMA/SMK. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi, diskusi kelompok, simulasi VR, penugasan mandiri, serta mentoring. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest, posttest, dan refleksi. Hasil kegitan ini terlihat pada peningkatan kemampuan rata-rata paserta sebesar 69,4% dari sebelum ke sesudah pelatihan, melampaui target minimal 30%. Selain itu, 72,7% guru mencapai indikator kunci berupa kemampuan menjelaskan sekaligus menggunakan VR dalam layanan BK. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis para peserta, tetapi juga memperkuat soft skill berupa empati, kreativitas, dan kemapuan berkolaborasi para guru BK.Abstract: Bullying, both conventional and digital, remains a serious threat to students’ psychological well-being. Low levels of student empathy and limited competence of school counselors in integrating technology have hindered the optimization of bullying prevention services. The PKM VIBES program (Virtual Reality as a Bullying Prevention Strategy) aims to enhance counselors’ capacity in designing virtual reality (VR)-based services. The program was implemented through a blended-learning workshop in collaboration with the MGBK of Surakarta, involving 33 high school counselors. The methods included socialization, group discussions, VR simulations, independent assignments, and mentoring. Evaluation was conducted using pretests, posttests, and reflections. Results showed an average improvement of 69.4% in participants’ competence from pre- to post-training, exceeding the minimum target of 30%. Furthermore, 72.7% of counselors achieved key indicators, namely the ability to explain and use VR in counseling services. This program not only improved participants’ technical skills but also strengthened their soft skills, including empathy, creativity, and collaboration.

Abstract

PT Amarta Karya Semarang, sebagai salah satu asosiasi yang bergerak di bidang jasa konstruksi ketenagalistrikan, dengan anggota yang tersebar di seluruh Jawa Tengah, dalam pengembangannya masih membutuhkan rencana strategis dan membawa kemajuan bagi asosiasi dan anggota. Oleh karena itu, dalam penulisan ini penulis akan membuat suatu model akta pendaftaran badan usaha berbasis web yang diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi pengembangan asosiasi itu sendiri. Sistem Informasi Layanan Anggota yang dikembangkan dengan metode pendekatan pengembangan sistem dengan SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi yang akan menjawab kebutuhan PT Amarta Karya Semarang akan sebuah sistem layanan informasi guna meningkatkan pelayanan yang lebih baik. kepada anggota. Dalam pembuatan sistem ini, penulis menggunakan Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 sebagai media perancangan dan PHP sebagai bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan, serta database MySQL sebagai media penyimpanan. Hasil perancangan Sistem Informasi Layanan Anggota dapat diakses oleh anggota, asesor, dan tanggung jawab, dimana anggota dapat mengajukan sertifikasi Badan Usaha secara online. Asesor dapat menilai lebih cepat dan persetujuan penanggung jawab dapat dilakukan lebih cepat, sehingga secara keseluruhan proses sertifikasi Badan Usaha dapat dilakukan dengan lebih cepat dan efektif. Abstract

Sexual violence against elementary school students is a crucial problem that often goes unnoticed due to low self-protection literacy and minimal teacher competence in early detection. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a collective case study in three Child-Friendly Schools in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of school policy documents. The findings show that students' understanding of body rights and how to report violence is still limited. On the other hand, the majority of teachers have not received formal training to recognize signs of sexual violence. Child protection materials have not been fully integrated into the curriculum, and the reporting system in schools does not support optimal student participation. These results emphasize the importance of strengthening child protection literacy through thematic curricula, ongoing teacher training, and a reporting system that is safe, inclusive, and responsive to children's needs. Strategic recommendations include integrating child protection literacy into learning, improving early detection capabilities for teachers, and developing a safe and responsive complaint system.Kekerasan seksual pada siswa sekolah dasar merupakan permasalahan krusial yang kerap luput dari perhatian karena rendahnya literasi perlindungan diri dan minimnya kompetensi guru dalam deteksi dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran literasi siswa dan guru dalam mendeteksi dini kekerasan seksual di tingkat sekolah dasar. Fokus utamanya mencakup identifikasi kontribusi literasi dalam upaya pencegahan kekerasan seksual, analisis terhadap kemampuan guru dalam melakukan deteksi dini, serta penyusunan rekomendasi strategis untuk intervensi yang efektif di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desktiptif dengan studi kasus kolektif di tiga Sekolah Ramah Anak di Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen kebijakan sekolah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa tentang hak atas tubuh dan cara melaporkan kekerasan masih terbatas. Di sisi lain, mayoritas guru belum memperoleh pelatihan formal untuk mengenali tanda-tanda kekerasan seksual. Materi perlindungan anak belum terintegrasi secara menyeluruh dalam kurikulum, dan sistem pelaporan di sekolah belum mendukung partisipasi siswa secara optimal. Hasil ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan literasi perlindungan anak melalui kurikulum tematik, pelatihan guru berkelanjutan, dan sistem pelaporan yang aman, inklusif, serta responsif terhadap kebutuhan anak. Rekomendasi strategis mencakup integrasi literasi perlindungan anak dalam pembelajaran, peningkatan kemampuan deteksi dini bagi guru, serta pengembangan sistem pengaduan yang aman dan pastiripatif.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah plastik di Desa Karangsari terus meningkat seiring bertambahnya aktivitas masyarakat sehari-hari. Sampah plastik merupakan limbah yang sulit terurai dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Pengolahan sampah plastik di desa tersebut masih belum optimal dan sebagian besar berakhir sebagai limbah tanpa pemanfaatan lanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan sampah plastik jenis HDPE dan PP sebagai campuran batako ramah lingkungan guna mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan sekaligus menciptakan produk bangunan bernilai guna dan bernilai ekonomi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi masyarakat, pemilahan sampah plastik, serta pelatihan pembuatan batako skala desa dengan teknologi sederhana menggunakan campuran semen, pasir, air, dan plastik cacah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan sampah plastik sebagai campuran batako mampu mengurangi volume limbah plastik, menghasilkan material bangunan non-struktural yang layak digunakan, serta meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengolahan sampah. Program ini juga membuka peluang usaha baru yang mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat desa. Dengan demikian, transformasi sampah plastik menjadi batako ramah lingkungan berkontribusi positif terhadap pembangunan Desa Karangsari yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The growing number of alleged medical malpractice cases in Indonesia, particularly physicians’ misdiagnosis resulting in patient death, underscores the need for stronger legal certainty and accountability in healthcare services. Physicians are professionally obligated to conduct diagnosis and medical treatment in accordance with professional standards, service standards, and standard operating procedures; however, negligence may occur and lead to severe harm. This study aims to analyze the legal provisions governing physicians’ liability for misdiagnosis causing patient death and to examine the forms of legal responsibility that may be imposed. The research applies a normative juridical method using a case approach and literature review, relying on primary legal materials such as the Indonesian Civil Code, the Criminal Code, the Medical Practice Law, the Hospital Law, and Law Number 17 of 2023 on Health, supported by secondary and tertiary sources. The findings indicate that physicians may be held liable under civil, criminal, and administrative law if the essential elements of medical negligence are proven, namely duty of care, breach of duty, harm (including death), and a causal relationship between the misdiagnosis and the fatal outcome. Moreover, liability may extend to hospitals under the doctrines of vicarious liability, hospital liability, and strict liability. This study implies the importance of strengthening professional competence, reinforcing disciplinary mechanisms, and ensuring balanced legal protection for both patients and healthcare professionals within Indonesia’s health law framework.

Abstract

The problem of repetitive work carried out by homeroom teachers when processing grades at school is the main problem experienced by every homeroom teacher at school. A good academic system is needed because it is able to minimize the work of the homeroom teacher. MTs Negeri 2 Semarang in processing value data reporting still uses the conventional method, namely by filling in the value leger. The teaching teacher fills the value data into the grade leger according to each subject. Then the homeroom teacher reported in the form of grades per subject. Then from the value data per subject the homeroom teacher must reprocess it into grades per student and print it. This will be a repetitive task if the homeroom teacher also serves as a teaching teacher. The report still uses copy and paste from flash to flash which has a very high risk of losing data. This is coupled with the school building which is divided into two buildings with a considerable distance between the old building and the new building which makes teaching teachers feel reluctant to report grades. To solve the existing problems, the authors propose a web-based value data administration system at MTs Negeri 2 Semarang which will make it easier for teachers to process and report value data. The program is expected to be able to deal with existing problems and ease the work of the homeroom teacher.

Abstract

Along with the advancement of robot technology, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine robot automation is becoming more popular. While some Computer Numerical Control engine process independently with a part catcher, a perpendicular granting center requires an extraneous individual to keep the engine processing. Collective and Mechanical robots be the main options for robotize perpendicular Computer Numerical Control grating machines. This study aims to specifically investigate and find the most effective type of robot to be used as a machine capable of maintaining the Haas VF-2 perpendicular crushing center. The method used in this study is the Overal Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) model approach with five different actions, starting with scope, unit setting, evaluation, fee calculation, and integration of the evaluation to present the value of each cell. The purpose of the model used in this study is to determine which robot is more effective for use in industry. As the result, this study demonstrates the important difference between the robot cells on the site and the overall effectiveness of the equipment, besides that the fee differences in the production of robot cells are not too large, but if the focus is on adding robots then the fee differences must be considered carefully. The hazard assessment proved surprising. This study shows that the risk factors in VF-2 treatment using cooperative robots and mechanical robots can be ignored. The impact of takt time also has an important role. Taking each factor into account for the production machining of the VF-2 mechanical robot is more conducive to use because its performance level is almost two times better and in terms of use, it is also much safer. For future work, maintaining a continual level of danger estimate during working on various parts is a very important thing to pay attention to. In addition, when the geometry and materials of machine parts are developed, the collective allocation is no longer valid, so danger estimates must be carried out more carefully to ensure operator safety.
