Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused an economic crisis, the price of feed is increasing so that the selling price of catfish no longer matches the price of the feed provided. The focus of community service in the Tanjung Kasau Plantation village is to assist fish farmers in managing and increasing fish farmers' income. The priority objective of this activity is efforts to improve the economy, namely increasing income in terms of production costs, both fish feed, production cost management and training in maggot cultivation by utilizing surrounding waste, namely solid palm oil waste. The implementation method is carried out in 3 stages which involve problems in the fields of production and management. This service activity uses education, training and mentoring methods. Community-Based Empowerment Activities carried out at the Tangkas Mina Jaya Group in Tanjung Kasau Plantation Village ran smoothly, marked by good community participation from the start to the end of the activity. Community-Based Empowerment Activities also provide a positive impact by increasing community knowledge and skills

Abstract

Learning biology, particularly on the topic of cells, often poses challenges for students due to its abstract nature. In addition, the instructional media commonly used in the classroom remain simple and less interactive, which reduces students’ interest and limits their understanding. This condition affects learning outcomes that tend to be unsatisfactory. This study aims to develop an e-booklet learning media based on flipbook maker and to evaluate its feasibility, students’ responses, and its effect on improving learning outcomes. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were eighth-grade students of MTs Muhammadiyah 25 Marubun Jaya. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The results indicate that the developed e-booklet achieved an average feasibility score of 90% (categorized as “very feasible”) and received student responses of 88% (categorized as “very good”). Moreover, students’ learning outcomes improved after using the developed media. Therefore, the flipbook maker-based e-booklet is considered effective and feasible to be implemented as an alternative learning medium in biology, particularly in the topic of cells.

Abstract

This study aims to produce valid and reliable Higher Order Thinking Skills instruments in learning the biology of ecology and environment material. The research is a Research and Development study with the ADDIE model. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri Kerinci. The sample in the study came from 2 biology education lecturers and 3 biology teachers. The instruments in this study were a 20-item multiple-choice HOTS test sheet and a validation questionnaire. Data collection techniques are tests and validation questionnaires. Indicators of Higher Order Thinking Skills are the ability to analyze, evaluate and create. Data analysis is quantitative and qualitative data analysis with the help of the SPSS version 16 application. The results showed that the Higher Order Thinking Skills instrument had a validation value of 0.724 with decent criteria and reliability of 0.972 with high criteria. These findings explain that the Higher Order Thinking SSkills(HOTS) instrument is very valid and reliable for use in ecology and environmental materials.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine: The Effect of Canva-Based Audio Visual Learning Media on the Human Digestive System Material on the Learning Outcomes of Class XI Students of SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. This study uses a true experimental research design (a true experiment), because in this design, researchers can control all external variables that affect the course of the experiment. The population of this study was all class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. The sampling technique was a random technique (Simple Random Sampling) with a sample of class XI MIA-3 as the experimental class and XI MIA-2 as the control class. The variables in this study include the independent variable, namely canva-based audio visual media, and the dependent variable, namely student learning outcomes. The data collection technique used a test method. The instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test. Learning outcome data were analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test test. The results of the Independent T-Test test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 which can be stated that the hypothesis is accepted. So it can be concluded that canva-based audio visual media can improve student learning outcomes. Keyword: Audio Visual Learning Media; Learning Outcomes. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual Berbasis Canva Pada Materi Sistem Pencernaan Manusia Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian true experimental (eksperimen yang betul-betul), karena dalam desain ini, peneliti dapat mengontrol semua variabel luar yang mempengaruhi jalannya eksperimen. Populasi dari Penelitian ini seluruh kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. Teknik pengambilan sampel Adalah teknik acak (Simple Random Sampling) dengan sampel kelas XI MIA-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIA-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel pada penelitian ini meliputi variabel bebas yaitu media audio visual berbasis canva, dan variabel terikat yaitu hasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah berupa tes pilihan ganda. Data hasil belajar dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil uji Independent T-Test memperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 yang dapat dinyatakan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media audio visual berbasis canva dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual; Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the project based learning (PjBL) model on student learning outcomes and on student activities on the circulatory system material in class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. The research data collection technique uses learning outcome tests and student activity questionnaires. In this study the sample used was 2 classes, namely class VIII-1 as an experimental class using the project based learning model and class VIII-3 as a control class with a total of 32 students. In student learning outcomes there was an increase in student pretest and posttest scores. In the control class the average pretest score was 41.6 and posttest 53.6. while in the experimental class the average pretest score was 38.1 and posttest 75.5. Evidenced by the data from the Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test with a 2-tailed significant value of 0.000. The result of 0.000> 0.05 so there is an influence on the PjBL learning model that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The average student activity in the experimental class was 94.5%, categorized as very active. Therefore, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes and activity. Keyword: Learning Model, Project based Learning, Learning Outcomes, Activities Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model project based learning (PjBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan terhadap aktivitas siswa pada materi sistem peredaran darah di kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan angket aktivitas siswa. Pada penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan menggunakan 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning dan kelas VIII-3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Pada hasil belajar siswa terdapat peningkatan pada nilai pretest dan posttest siswa. Pada kelas kontrol rata-rata nilai pretest yaitu 41,6 dan posttest 53,6. sementara pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata pada pretest 38,1 dan posttest 75,5. Dibuktikan dari data hasil uji hipotesis Independent Sample T-Test dengan hasil nilai signifikan 2-tailed nya adalah 0,000. Hasil 0,000 > 0,05 sehingga terdapat pengaruh pada model pembelajaran PjBL bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Rata-rata aktivitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 94,5% dengan kategori sangat aktif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran, Project based Learning, Hasil Belajar, Aktivitas

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (1) Determine the feasibility test of Animaker-based animated video learning media on biodiversity material. (2) Determine students' responses to Animaker-based animated video learning media on biodiversity material. (3) Determine the effect of using Animaker-based animated video learning media on biodiversity material in class X of SMA Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. Data analysis was carried out through media feasibility tests, product trials, and analysis of learning outcomes. The validation results showed an average feasibility percentage of 93% with a very feasible category, with details of design feasibility of 94%, content/material 90%, language 94%, and presentation 96%. Student responses to Animaker-based animated video learning media on biodiversity material by providing a questionnaire sheet obtained responses in the very good category, namely 86.1%. Based on student learning outcome data obtained through pre-test and post-test, Animaker-based animated video learning media has an influence on student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the Sig. value. The 2-tailed test is 0.000, indicating that the value is <0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.  Keywords: media; videos; animaker. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui uji kelayakan media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis animaker pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. (2) Mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis animaker pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. (3) Mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis animaker pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dikelas X SMA Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji kelayakan media, uji coba produk, dan analisis hasil belajar. Hasil validasi menunjukkan persentase kelayakan rata-rata sebesar 93% dengan kategori sangat layak, dengan rincian kelayakan desain 94%, isi/materi 90%, bahasa 94%, dan penyajian 96%. Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis animaker pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dengan memberikan lembar angket diperoleh respon dengan kategori sangat baik yaitu 86,1%. Berdasarkan data hasil belajar siswa yang diperoleh melalui pre-test dan post-test maka media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis animaker memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai Sig. 2 tailed adalah 0,000 yang menyatakan nilai tersebut < 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.  Kata kunci: media; video; animaker.

Abstract

Abstract: The role of technology in learning in schools is very important and diverse. Learning media that are not varied makes students bored in following the learning, so the learning objectives cannot be conveyed properly to students. Through interview data and observations of researchers through science teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar, data from the results of the mid-term exams of students were obtained that 43.2% of students completed while 56.8% of students did not complete so from this data it was found that many students did not complete science learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using wordwall game learning media based on the nearpod application and to determine students' responses to wordwall game learning media based on the nearpod application. The researcher used (Research and Development (R&D) as the type of research and used the ADDIE model. The results of the feasibility test of the nearpod application-based wordwall game media based on 4 feasibility tests by expert validators obtained an overall percentage of 81.6% very feasible. The achievement of students in classes that use nearpod application-based wordwall game teaching materials has a high value compared to those who do not use nearpod application-based wordwall game media. The student response to the nearpod application-based wordwall game media as a learning medium obtained a percentage of 83.3%% with a good category. Keywords: Learning Media, Wordwall Game, NearpodAbstrak: Peran terknologi dalam pembelajaran di sekolah sangat penting dan beragam. Media pembelajaran yang tidak bervariasi membuat siswa menjadi jenuh dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, maka tujuan pembelajaranya tidak dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada siswa. Melalui data wawancara serta pengamatan peneliti melalugu pendidik IPA di SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar diperoleh data hasil UTS siswa bahwasanya siswa yang tuntas 43,2% sedangkan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 56,8% jadi dari data ini didapatkan banyak siswa yang tidak tuntas pada pembelajaran IPA. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran game wordwall berbasis apliksi nearpod serta mengetahui respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran game wordwall berbasis apliksi nearpod. Peneliti memakai (Research and Development (R&D) sebagai jenis penelitiannya serta memakai model ADDIE. Hasil uji kelayakan media game wordwall berbasis aplikasi nearpod berdasarkan 4 uji kelayakan oleh para validator ahli memperoleh hasil persentase keseluruhan 81,6% sangat layak. Pencapaian peserta didik di kelas yang memakai bahan ajar game wordwall berbasis apliksi nearpod memiliki nilai yang tinggi dibandingkan yang tidak memakai media game wordwall berbasis apliksi nearpod. Adapun tangapan siswa terhadap media game wordwall berbasis apliksi nearpod sebagai media pembelajaran diperoleh persentase 83,3%% dengan kategori baik.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Game Wordwall, Nearpod

Abstract

Abstract: Media suitability, student responses, and learning outcomes are the objectives of this scientific study. The background of the study was based on the decline in learning outcomes for the material. It was found that 33.8% of students reached the Minimum Completion (KKM), and the implementation of the teaching and learning process was still conventional. Development research is a type of development method with the ADDIE approach which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation The research subjects were students of grades VIII-2 (experimental class) and VIII-3 (control class) who had passed the sample selection process by random sampling. The research instruments included non-tests and tests (pretest and posttest). Data identification used media feasibility tests, student response questionnaires, and final scores as non-parametric statistical tests as answers to temporary decisions. The research results proved that the Canva-based Baamboozle teaching material was said to be very suitable for use based on the assessment decisions of material experts and media experts. Most students gave positive responses after implementing the media in the classroom, indicating a reciprocal response and involving learning participation. This resulted in differences in the experimental class that were not found in the control class. The final decision was based on the Mann-Whitney test results <0.000. Therefore, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.  Keywords: Baamboozle, Canva, animal cells, plant cells Abstrak: Kelayakan media, respon siswa, dan nilai belajar adalah tujuan dari kajian ilmiah ini. Latar belakang penelitian berlandaskan pada menurunya nilai hasil belajar terhadap materi tersebut. Diketahui 33,8% siswa mencapai KKM, serta penerapan proses belajar mengajar masih konvensional. Penelitian pengembangan adalah jenis metode pengembangan dengan pendekatan ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, penerapan, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-2 (kelas eksperimen) dan VIII-3 (kelas control)  yang sudah melewati proses pemilihan sample secara random sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi non-tes dan tes (pretest dan posttest). Pengidentifikasian data memakai uji kelayakan media, angket respon siswa, serta nilai akhir sebagai uji statistik non-parametrik sebagai jawaban keputusan sementara. Hasil riset membuktikan jika bahan ajar Baamboozle berbasis Canva disebutkan sangat layak dipergunakan berdasarkan keputusan penilaian validador ahli. Kebanyakan respon positif diberikan siswa setelah penerapan media di dalam kelas yang,menandakan adanya respon timbal balik  serta melibatkan partisipasi belajar. Hal ini menimbulkan adanya perbedaan kelas eksperimen yang tidak dimiliki kelas kontrol. Keputusan akhir diperoleh berlandaskan hasil uji Mann-Whitney <0,000. Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the feasibility and effectiveness of worksheet-based Augmented Reality (AR) learning media on the human respiratory system material for eleventh-grade science students at SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were students of class XI IPA divided into experimental and control groups. Research instruments included expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). The validation results indicated that the developed AR-based worksheet media was feasible for instructional use. Student responses showed a practicality level of 86%, categorized as very practical. The analysis of learning outcomes using the Wilcoxon test revealed that the improvement in students’ learning outcomes in the experimental class was significantly higher than that in the control class, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that the use of worksheet-based AR learning media has a significant positive effect on students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, AR-based worksheet media can be utilized as an innovative alternative learning medium in Biology instruction, particularly for teaching the human respiratory system.
